Chrome Under the Pole

Smells exactly like the original chrome and the performance is weak but... I like it a lot! This is a “before bed” fragance and the cooling effect (no alcohol ) feels really nice an calming!

Tested this one at Macy's a while back and thought it was different from all the other recent designer releases which all blurred together as a sweet mess. This one came across as refreshing and citrusy without the overload of sweets that is all to common these days in designer fragrances. Found a bottle at a discounter for a decent price recently and grabbed it. Might need to test this one out in super hot weather, but as of now it is just Ok. Reminds me a lot of CK All/CK Platinum (same backbone scent DNA). Maybe even a pinch of Eternity Air. There is something common in all of those which this one has as well, and unfortunately comes off super generic and slightly feminine smelling. It has a nice bite of a juniper green vibe, but that is overwhelmed by an overused combo of aroma chemicals used in many cheap fragrances which leaves me underwhelmed. Also be prepared to overspray the heck out of this one for others to pick up on it at all, this is not a projection or longevity beast in the slightest. And since it is water based you can't spray that much on exposed skin without getting soaked with a watery milky-substance in the process. My usage suggestion for this is to spray extremely liberally to your undershirts/underclothes, rather than your exposed neck/arms. Could work well in hair too, though I haven't tested that aspect yet.

this is very interesting release. it has chrome meets ck one kind of affair.they went for no alcohol method....which sadly killed the performance of this fragrance.its a milky aftershave that you can spray. crisp clean lemony and floral. it wont be great idea to buy this as no one can smell it.if you have been a fanboy of chrome line you can get it as a collectors item, the box is very nice :)

Tested today as the nice bright blue bottle caught my attention, this is a superbly refreshing scent. I've never been a big fan of the Chrome series but I really like this one.

Call it a gimmick, novelty, or whatever but this cologne is a real misfire. Better marketed as a lotion, this weak performing cologne can't even be prolonged by spraying on clothes as it is, again, basically a lotion. Despite all the citrus listed in the top notes this is much more floral to me. We all have our own expectations and I really can't blame Azzaro for not meeting mine. Still, this hardly suggests "polar" and "ocean" to me. I'm glad I tried it, it was a blind buy, and I didn't lose too much as it was reasonably priced. I'd suggest Chrome Aqua if you're looking for a good but slightly different cologne from the Chrome line.
