A LEMONY CEDAR SCENT TALE IN A REVOLVER DISGUISE Just by the scent, I would never guessed this perfume to be from the house of Azzaro. I kind of like it but is miles away from the traditional Azzaro DNA... and it's not a bad thing. Azzaro spent a lot of time exploring flankers for its original "Pour Homme", designed to be a signature scent. And it still is following that policy through the launching of the magnific "Edition Noire", "Amber Fever". The name Azzaro is very well established in the perfume industry and, as a product line, refers only to products bottled in the familiar pretty octagonal flask. "Wanted" is meant to be a distinct product line. Azzaro came out with other similar initiatives like the Visit and the Chrome line. Visit is discontinued now but, although is a very fine fragrance, never lost its title of being a less expensive Gucci Rush for men. Chrome has a different family story and it's one of success. It explores different paths than those followed by the "Pour Homme" and "Wanted" families. It has a fresh aquatic-citrusy-synthetic footprint and it lives in the bathroom near the shower area. For many anonymous customers, Chrome became an informal brand of its own. The name Azzaro is only remembered if engraved in the bottle. Wanted shares the bedroom and wardrobe area with the "Pour Homme" series. It has the difficult task of imposing a new family/brand name, a controversial new bottle shape and, most of all, a new unique scent. I am not afraid of calling it unique as I do not agree with the similarity claimed to exist between Wanted and PR Invictus. I showed the bottle to several people asking "What does this flask look like?". I always got the same answer. Everybody answered that It looks like a revolver or, better still, that it looks "like that round thing where you put the bullets in". No one believes Azzaro when they claim that the shape mimics a clock mechanism. The revolver magazine shape is very explicit. Explicit are also marketing tactics in the same path as those used by Paco Rabanne for some of his product lines. THE FRAGRANCE Wanted presents us a fairly common opening with zesty Calabrian lemon blended with spicy and sharp ginger. The Innovation comes with the use of common Guatemalan cardamom blended with cade oil, extracted from the "Juniperus oxycedrus" tree, or if using only common words, a type of cedar. Cade oil is obtained by the distillation of cade wood. It exudes a dark green scent with a tarry and smoky accords. Probably it's used in small quantities in Wanted, as both the tar and the smoke accords are not prominent in the perfume scent. But it is quite enough to create a new and innovative fragrance. In the bottom phase we get a common blending of vetiver and tonka. The cade oil is persistent and it is present in the dry down mixed with the tonka sweetness and the vetiver woodiness and smokiness. I am still learning to enjoy this fragrance. It is a bit innovative due to the use of Cade and has some tribulations to impose itself in the market. Boss had a similar problem with the innovative "The Scent" trying to impose the fairly uncommon maninka fruity note. The Wanted by Night flanker had an initial bigger acceptance through the introduction of additional heavy cinnamon and tobacco besides a sweeter mandarine instead of lemon. With 3 sprays, longevity (7 hours) and sillage (4.5 feet) are average for this type of note. Projection lasts more or less 1.5 hours. Scoring this oily pistol magazine: ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ - Scent opening: 7.5 (nice zesty lemon and ginger) - Scent Dry Down: 8.5 (the dark mood due to cade oil makes the difference) - Longevity: 7.5 (up to 7 hours with, 3 sprays) - Sillage: 7.5 (4~5 ft with, 1.5 h of projection, 3 sprays) - Versatility: 8.0 (above average; not effective on cold days and nights) - Usability: 8.0 (above average; Not suitable for a night out, clubbing, sports and seaside) - Compliments: 7.0 (agreeable but not a compliment magnet) - Uniqueness: 10.0 (unique) - Quality: 8.0 (above average quality, good cap & sprayer, heavy bottle) - Presentation: 9.0 (a matter of opinion) - Price: 7.0 ($ 35 for a 100 ml tester- and it was on sale) ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ - Average: 8.01/10.0 between 7 and 8 => above average; between 8 and 9 => recommended; equal or bigger than 9 => don't miss it; My opinion on this unique Azzaro: Good presentation, good overall scent, agreeable, elegant, making a nice choice for daily wear and office! Average performance. Pricing is still a bit expensive. During 2020 and onwards, the online price will certainly come down. Recommended? I suggest you try it before purchasing it. A love at first sniff for me. It has become my signature scent and it is my most complimented fragrance yet. Also got me into the world of fragrances so a positive right there. Scent: It opens up with a lot of aromatic and citrus notes mixing with the sweetness from the tonka bean. The apple and lemon can be picked up right away along with the mint and ginger in the background, giving it a bit of fresh spiciness. As it dries down, the vetiver comes out, giving it a bit of a woodiness, reducing the sweetness from the tonka bean. The sweetness can be overwhelming for some people but spraying less is always an option. It doesn't smell cheap and synthetic like some reviews state but rather it smells quite different from the trend of the fragrances going on right now, which focuses on more of a syrupy and heavy sweetness. Performance: For an eau de toilette at the price point it is at, which in my country is around 45 dollars, the performance is way more than I expected. It opens up pretty strong, might even fill a room if you spray too much and could get sickeningly sweet so I would not recommend spraying more than 12-14 times. For the first 2 hours the projection is good, a few feet from me, creating a nice scent bubble around me. I get below average projection and sillage after the 2 hour mark, projecting 1 or 2 feet around me but still, its not bad. It becomes a skin scent after 4 or 5 hours, depending on how much I sprayed, and lasts for about 8-10 hours. Solid performance. Versatility: This fragrance is pretty versatile if you want an average all year round fragrance. Many people would disagree with me but I definitely see myself wearing this in fall, winter, spring and even the start and end of summer, if I spray less. The only time I would not wear it is in those high heat situations. As for the where to wear it, it could be described as a young boy party kind of fragrance. Could be worn to clubs and to casual events. Not a good formal and office scent; I wouldn't want an adult wearing this. Basically, this is a fragrance that is best suited to a teenager who is new to the fragrance world. I get why people hate it; it has too much of a playful vibe that some people who have smelt like 2000 fragrances wont really like and they would argue there are much better scents than this but for someone who's new, again, this could become his signature scent. Would I recommend testing this? Definitely.

Severely underrated, keep it that way so I can buy more up cheaply. Seriously, Ignore the haters this is still one of the best in the Wanted line, also why do people keep saying this is for the younger guys? I’m 59 & this is my signature go to scent, hence why I have filled my drawers with around 10 bottles of the stuff & grab more when ever I see it on offer. I have most of the Wanted flankers & as much as I love the Most Wanted EDP Intense, this original Wanted is just easier to wear & lasts pretty good, just love the smell of it & it lasts me a few hours before dying down. For reasons unknown to me Wanted By Night gets all the love, but I find with my barely used bottle the orange notes in the opening are too sweet for my liking, also it’s just to weak & longevity sucks big time, within an hour I just don’t smell it & it’s not even that strong when first applied. There’s a reason Azzaro discontinued it right. This original Wanted is a sexy fragrance & I love when I’m wearing it just getting a blast of it as I’m going about my day, it’s been around a good while now but for me it’s one of the best & I just love it, ladies love this on you. For me The Most Wanted EDP Intense in the black bottle has got a sexier scent, but this Original Wanted EDT is easier to wear all year round & smells just as good. Stop comparing this frag to Invictus, are you guys crazy it’s nothing like it, those who claim it’s similar or close to PR Invictus are completely nuts, I had Invictus & got rid of it as too floral & weak, nothing like this sexy Wanted to my nose.

The opening starts with a burst of a lemon-ginger-mint hit so sweet that it's more like lemonade than lemon. Not gonna be for everyone, but I really like it. That opening doesn't tone down per se, it's just that the apple-cardamom-juniper combo adds a lot more fruitiness, but I still like it. Not wearing this to the office, but I have no problem letting this project in casual settings day or night. The fruitiness eventually gives way to the tonka and amber base, and when the fruitiness pulls back, the ginger/tonka.amber combo takes over, and reminds me more of Calvin Klein Euphoria than a Sauvage ambroxan attack. The sillage is pretty decent, and it's really sweet, so be forewarned. Might be too cloying for some people or people you are with in the heat. However, the longevity of the projection is short for me. I get 1 - 2 feet for about three hours, then it dies down and becomes a skin scent for me. The skin scent lasts a few more hours. Sometimes this combo is a plus for me, though. When it's all said and done, I enjoy citrus, I enjoy fruit, I enjoy cardamom and ginger and I enjoy sweet, spicy fragrances. Put it all together, and Azzaro Wanted is still great for me. I dig the whole line, though, so depending on the situation, I frequently choose a different flanker rather than the original, so my bottle has a less of a dent than it would because the flankers are so good.

This flies under the radar for most & is seriously underrated, as Wanted By Night & Elixir get all the hype. But this IMO is Still ‘The Best’ in the Wanted line (I have the entire line up of Wanted flankers except for the latest Absolu which I currently have no desire to own) this OG Wanted edt on the other hand is my signature scent & has been for years, if I don’t wear it for several days because I’m wearing or trying out new frags it always greets me with that amazing sexy scent profile & reminds me just how versatile & great this scent is. One word of caution this stuff is counterfeited all over the place so make sure you buy it from a reputable source. I’m actually glad this gets hated on, as that means us guys who wear it & enjoy it are able to get it cheaper, also you smell more unique than everyone else with their SWY & other sugary ‘female leaning’ gourmand liquids like Althair etc, this gets me compliments when other stuff doesn’t & as a result I can burn my way through a 100ml bottle of this easily in just a month, it’s so damn sexy! If you want to spend less there’s a dupe of this by Fragrance World called ‘Azzure Hunted’ & it’s very close in scent dna but not quite 100%, if I had to put a figure on it I’d say it’s close to 90% accurate in duplicating it.

I read a lot of comments when I bought it that it was similar to Invictus. To me, it isn't that close. Invictus is very bubblegum, saltwater, and sweet. Wanted is heavy on the ginger and sweet. It's much warmer in that regard. I wear Wanted primarily in the daytime (spring, fall, and early summer) or on cool nights, Invictus is something you can wear when it's a very warm summer day. Just be aware that the ginger is extremely prominent. That said, a lot of people around me really liked the smell of it, and I have not received any bad feedback. I totally get people not liking hyper sweet scents. I do think Wanted is distinct enough that if you like that genre, it is worth looking at. For me, I wear it, probably twice a month. It's not something I'm enamoured with, but it is part of my rotation for weekly daytime wear. As for longevity, this stuff performs great for an edt. I get an easy 8 hours minimum on skin, and I can still smell it on my shirt when I'm putting it in the hamper the following day. My bottle is a 2023 batch if I'm not mistaken, so I doubt it's been heavily "watered down". I found my 50ml bottle online for around $30 (Jomashop) which is a fantastic value for what you are getting for the quality and performance.

This is a fragrance that really grew on me when I first sampled Wanted EDT, I made the mistake of not sampling it on my skin. So I went ahead and bought it. When I first tested it on me, it was absolutely horrifying. Thescent smelt like a bitter apple. However, as I let it macerate and waited about 3 weeks, the Wanted EDT I knew was showing its true colors. This, to me, was a very sweet mix of ginger and apple, which I personally enjoyed. This also smelt nothing like it but reminded me of Spicebomb's Nightvision EDT. It is a very versatile scent that I could see you wearing anytime. It's also very unique and will make you standout compared too Versace Eros or Bleu De Chanel etc. Finally, the estimated performance I got on this was about 7-9 hours which was shocking as a lot of "beast mode" fragrances never really lasted on me. The projection on this at the start is very good as 4 sprays and my friends can smell it from 6 feet away. However as time progresses, in the 5 hour mark, it starts to fade closer. Overall this is a fragrance I recommend a lot though you have to let it grow on you. It's a 10/10 for me as once I let it macerated, it became the perfect scent for me.

This is much better than it's given credit for. When I first received it a few months back I thought it was just a bit too synthetic and "cleaner-like" for my taste and seemed like it would serve better as a room spray. After using it for several days over the past month, I can easily put this in the "strong like" category. It smells especially wonderful in the air once the molecules start bouncing off of warm skin. Sweet and fresh but ever so slightly spicy with the ginger. This has definitely earned it's spot in my late spring early summer rotation. I wish they'd put out some sort of "summer edition" where they swap a few things out and add some sort of melon or cucumber. Coconut might even work if they don't make it too sweet. This really is great though and most normal guys won't regret it, especially after a few weeks of maceration. It hasn't changed much, but it seems more mellow and less "look at me!". Go easy on the trigger and this will serve you well in any season really.

Wow. Thats my reaction to having tested this frag. I prefer this over the amw and mwbn. Something about the sweet sensual smell just activates the neurons in my brain. Its sweet,cozy,warm and fuzzy. This fragrance speaks to me and although i dont own it whenever i get the chance to frag test i use the tester and spray it on my. The longevity is mental i sprayed it on my jacket more than 3 weeks ago and with 6 washes i still smell it. When i get the chance this fragrance is getting picked up. Anyone who hasnt tested this please do. How I describe frags is by giving you a picture. Imagine your by a fire place as a kid and you came back from a cold winter day and your grandma gives you a cup of hot chocolate and a nice bowl of oats with sugar and cinnamon, then she reads you your favourite book at that point. This is that fragrance. Please please please give it a chance over the other azzaros you might be very suprised.

I really like it. This is as versatile as it gets without being a "blue scent". A true compliment getter, even better than original Invictus and other fragrances inspired by it. I mention this because it gets compared with Invictus, and I partially agree with that statement. This is a fragrance that combines the Invictus and Eros DNAs in one fragrance, which works great. Imagine an Invictus without the aquatic and amber notes+an Eros without the vanilla and you get this thing. Don't get me wrong, I truly love it, mainly because I'm a huge fan of those two scents. Eros and Invictus are true complement-getters, so Azzaro Wanted is not different in that aspect. A youthful, yet not a common scent that's versatile and well blended. Performance is good, with a monstrous projection and a good longevity, despite being an EDT

Azzaro Wanted When I bought this fragrance, I did not think that this would be something that I could wear everyday, and it would become a yellow and silver trophy within my fragrance shelf. Turns out I was wrong, and I will never doubt another Oliver Cresp fragrance again. It starts off by burning your skin (but in a nice way), before entering a fresh lemon and ginger opening that lasts for 30 minutes. Then, the fragrance enters into a sweet green apple and cardamom mixture, which really lasts for a long time. Then, the fragrance ends with a decent tonka bean and amber wood base. Oliver Cresp needs to be drug tested for how good he is at making fragrances. I could wear this and Mercedes-Benz Man all year and still be happy. 8.8/10

Why does it even remind them of 212 vip Black ? Really ? Ok my cousin has Invictus and this is what we did - I sprayed Invictus on me and my cousin sprayed wanted on him and we sat down for few minutes - next day i sprayed wanted and my cousin sprayed his Invictus, I do agree the opening Are 60% likely the same The dry down of Azzaro Wanted Is what stands out and kills Invictus, my cousin agreed !! Smells completely different with a hint of Invictus in it. Some girl at the club said “no please don’t leave” , I guess I was wanted like the name says A bullet indeed !!! Fantastic smell , from all other Azzaro creations this is the one to look out for . 8.5/10.

I just got this in and I mainly picked it up because the hate this thing got made it sink to CRAZY cheap prices. I'm not exaggerating when I say I got this shipped to my door for near $39. Why did this get such hate? Idk where the dude below lives that his water smells so damn agreeable...but yeah...it's an easy recommendation for most of us ... especially for the price. I hope everyone continues with the haterade for the new EDT Intense...keeps going folks it's now just under $50 😂. This stuff is aromatic and fresh starts sweet and seems to mellow into something hard to hate. Is it my insta-favorite? Nah...will I wear it? Yes most definitely. the Scentsei

In an era where the fresh/sweet amber dna is the norm, I still think this stands out as one of the better options. It doesn’t do anything particularly unique. Invictus type ambery freshness with an Eros flavored apple tonka sweetness. But what stands out to me is the balancing. It is just an incredibly well blended and versatile fragrance. It has been my go to dumb reach for the last year when it’s warmer than 40° outside. And the fact you can get this for dirt cheap makes it even better. If I had been interested in fragrances a year earlier, this would have been my defining scent of summer 16

Highly underrated fragrance! I would have passed on this however Walgreens had a clearance on 3.4oz for 35$ so I took a chance and really like the quality of this. It lasts all day at work. Not to overbearing to people. Smells great and masculine. In a way it kinda reminds my of Armani Code parfum vaguely. Definitely doesn’t smell anything like Invictus. I don’t see the resemblance really at all. I have both and Wanted is way more mature than Invictus will ever be. Teenagers and young adults Invictus. Grown ass men Wanted! Super good! Buy it especially if you find it cheap like I did.

Positives: This fragrance is perfect for younger aged men/teens looking for a loud compliment puller. It has the perfect balance between fresh/fruity, creamy and woody. It also has great projection and longevity (3 sprays lasts easy 7-8 hours with good projection). Downsides: It can smell like your typical mass appealing designer scent however I still think it is unique enough to stand out. Overall a very safe blind buy if you are young and just want a no brainer compliment puller with great projection. Scent: 8.5/10 Projection: 9/10 Longevity: 8/10 Overall: 8.5

After test spraying and rejecting most department store colognes, I found myself thinking about this one again and again. It is just so darn alluring and well blended. I had to order a small bottle to give it a fair shot. And so I would describe this as a handsome helping of amber, a pinch of cherry from a cherry tobacco (not the tobacco though), and just a touch of wood and maybe a hint of citrus and spice hidden in the background to smooth it all out. This is a fragrance that you feel good wearing, and that makes you want to go out smelling darn good wearing.

Been a long while since I wore this one, a couple years now. It's not bad, and quite frankly, some people are being harsh on here. It's a good, versatile, all year scent with some spice, some sweetness, aromatics. This was an insanely popular scent a few years ago. It projects very well, and lasts far longer than you would expect. Case in point, I put this on YESTERDAY afternoon. It is now 9am, just finished taking a shower, but when I was having my morning coffee out on the deck, I was still getting sniffs of it. I think I'm wearing it again today.

This is such an underrated fragrance. Perfect for casual wear during spring and summer, it's neither pretentious or overly childish. I don't find the sillage overbearing in the least and it doesn't last as long on my skin as it seems to on others. To me, this is like a great fitting and comfortable pair of jeans: versatile (in the right situations), easy going, I feel good when I wear it, and that easiness translates to my body language and disposition which in turn makes me more likeable (slightly... Probably not... Ok, not really).
