Rouge Éclat

Rouge Eclat glows red like its name, from the delicious opening of boozy cherry liquor and rich dates to the beautiful use of osmanthus and iris as a soft floral counterpoint. Margaux Le Paih-Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois have composed this perfume in a way where materials and notes fade into each other from open to close, they glide over each other dancing and giving Rouge Éclat a remarkable grace. Notes are foreshadowed with their melodies weaving through the ones that came before enriching and complementing them while subtle expanding the original. A gorgeous honeyed note captures the mouthwatering intensity of the Medjool dates while continuing the silky feel turning it into a glowing red hue. Saffron too picks up on this silkiness and from the osmanthus adding some silver stitching to the silks. Sandalwood enhances that creaminess felt from the start while giving a skin like feel for the seductive silks to slide across. Ambroxan’s cosy muskiness envelops your body as you wear it enticing others, letting the rest of the notes work their magic in the air around you. Vanilla has been there for a while, adding a rich creaminess that leans more into a deep amber conjuring the darker hues of the dates inner flesh.
