Baldessarini Eau de Cologne Concentree

I quite like Baldessarini as a brand. Everything I own from them is pretty great, just lacking in the performance category a lot of the time. Anyway, presentation is nice, like I expect from the brand. This one is really something I acquired on a whim recently and I must say, I really enjoy it. I don't particularly pick out the notes as it's blended very well. I think it suffices to say that it's a citrusy and warm, slightly white floral scent with a good dose of resinous woodiness. It has an Italian barbershop vibe to it though it doesn't smell dated at all. Timeless, really. It's something I throw on to smell sexy and classy running errands. Seems ridiculous? Maybe but this one is the one for that job. This is the epitome of versatile. I think it would work all year in almost any situation. This will not offend, rather I think most will enjoy it. The longevity is pretty decent while the projection and sillage are pretty moderate. It's gentlemanly in it's aura, for sure. It may skew 30+ but I don't see anyone disliking it, so the younger gents could definitely rock it as well. All of these pros along with the price tag at discounters make this one a great pick up.

The Hugo Boss original is (was?) a fantastic fragrance, my bottle really is on the last fumes. I updated with the modern Concentree. I did love the slightly bracing, spicy blast of the opening in the OG. Side by side this is softer, sweeter, juicier even in the opening, but about 90pc close in the drydown. However even as a Concentree it is sadly weaker in performance, you should expect to respray. This is though a very wearable, classy, gentlemanly scent, and it does smell a bit different to a lot of daytime colognes out there. For that reason I like it a lot and can see myself wearing through spring and summer. Likely office friendly too. At £30 for 75ml it's good value. Those seeking the initial herbal blast of the original could do worse than Lorenzo Villoresi's Uomo. But that is a blast indeed and a bit pricey to boot. 3.5/5

What a beautiful fragrance, I am so glad I blind-bought a bottle! It is extremely versatile. The different notes are blended to perfection. On my skin sillage is on the intimate side of moderate, but that only underscores the elegant character of this EdC Concentrée. The dominant note is amber, as in Rochas Moustache EdP. Longevity is some 5 hours. 9/10

An amazing fragrance with great longevity. The opening is a beautiful citrus and mint combo. The drydown has a beautiful sandalwood and musk. A hidden gem. If you don't own this own I highly recommend to add it to your collection. 9/10 Will definitely grab a back ups.

Bought it months ago, didn't like it and left it in the cupboard. Tried it yesterday and I suddenly love it. Unmistakable a nice bittersweet green but it's also a little bit blue; salty, ozonic. I'm wearing it again today.

Classy and elegant. The citrus is faint, and the mint is not prominent. This is what I call a balanced scent. It’s very similar to Chanel Egoiste. Longevity is decent, and projection is average. I wish this has a little extra punch, but my solution is: I apply 8-10 sprays. If you are looking for a men fragrance that is not strident, loud, and obnoxious, but is more refined, elegant, moderate: this is a great bet. Younger folks could pull this off, if dressed casual to formal.

It's a nice scent, Elegant, Classy and Sophisticated. This perfume reminds me of Hugo Boss Baldessarini , In my opinion Hugo Boss Baldessarini is a masterpiece ! It opens up with like fresh citrusy, slightly spicy and green notes in the background then dry down is musky woody. This is suitable for the all seasons. The Performance is weak but it smells so good and very pleasant. I like Baldessarini EDC Concentree for Men. Rating : 7 / 10

I remember sniffing the Hugo Boss version of this when my dad had a bottle lots of years ago. It’s a classic spring/sunny scent in my opinion. So vibrant and musky, and the dry down is lovely aswell. I don’t know about really hot weather but with these British summers lately (quite warm!) I think it would suffice and do the job. Good presentation, nice bottle and I got my 75ml for just under £30. That’s cracking value.

This is a very pleasant inoffensive scent. It reminds me of a champagne smell, which is great. Longevity and projection is surprisingly good.

I have had this for a while now and it is definitely not released in 2020! I believe it came out around the same time as the EDC, in 2002. The history of Baldessarini/Hugo Boss/ Maurer & Wirtz gets a little murky... I also believe that Fragrantica is leaving out some notes here, mainly the tobacco and chamomile, which are both detectable. Concentree is a a fantastic gentlemanly fragrance, not loud but persistent. It has an "upscale" feel, meaning it is not overly sweet and definitely not a shower gel derivative. The chamomile note sets it apart, which comes across as an earthy floral/herbal note that persists for the life of the fragrance. Other noticeable facets are a lovely citrus top, a tasteful mint accord and a base of musk that gives warmth and stability to the whole thing. It feels optimistic yet serious at the same time. Modest sillage and decent performance make it a great option for work or office. Comforting and well put-together.

Honest. A pleasant smell, like after using quality aftershave products. Honestly, very similar to the Tabac range. Especially Gravity and not only. It's something similar that ties the whole line together. Maybe slightly that mint, I don't know for sure. The smell is pleasant. The bad part. It disappears very quickly.

Any and all seasons, any and all reasons; the sine qua non of any collection and by far the dumbest reach I can think of. Hugo Boss or Maurer & Wirtz, EDC or Concentree, it doesn't matter. More than worthy of the eloquent 2014 review by Darvant on the other site, to which I've nothing to add.

I have a new bottle that looks like this but labelled Eau de Cologne and not Concentree. It sprays a bracing and gorgeous top note of tangerine and mint. By 20-30 minutes I smell nothing.

This is the Maurer & Wirtz edition and was released in 2007, when the collaboration with Hugo Boss ends! This was initially released under the Hugo Boss logo, in early 2002.

This has been out for over a decade. I have it and enjoy it so if they have re-released it then that's a good thing

Stunningly nice fragrance.... I stocked up on this beauty.....
