An amazing and beautiful fragrance , truly one of the best perfumes of the year ✨ It smells clean with a spicy touch, featuring black pepper and pink pepper , an attractive and elegant blend that makes this fragrance a luxurious icon for the Balenciaga brand. The performance is strong, sophisticated, and perfectly unisex... truly a masterpiece worthy of all the praise. I’ve been wearing it for a week, and I’m confident it deserves a spot among the finest and most captivating scents of the year. It’s irresistibly appealing, smooth, powerful, and refined.

This was a love at first sniff for me. Very unusual but sexy. A very spicy, pepper centric scent. This is clichéd, but I picture a Chinese opium den. I put this one on my left arm and performance is very strong. Fragrantica says the top accord for this perfume is "sweet," but I wouldn't describe it as being sweet at all - though it is a little ambery-resinous. Doesn't smell anything like Ganymede... don't know why people are voting that as similar.

I agree with the comparison to Ganymede, however, this is a bit more feminine leaning and I’m glad. It turns nicely sweet in the dry down.

This was in my grandmothers perfumes, recently gotten after she died. I actually didnt love most the perfumes that she owned, but this one was not one of those. It is not terribly strong, though it should definitley be applied in small amounts, as I could definitley see how it could become overwhelming. it lasted long too!

I'd mistaken it as an amber fragrance–the resinous facet of immortelle can do that–but also herbal & spicy. My top 2 in the collection

When I first applied this I thought it just smelled like a Ganymede clone - in a more muted sense. Now that I’m doing a full wearing I don’t think Extra is a redundant purchase if you already have Ganymede. Extra has a bright tonka note that almost mirrors sun lotion or shampoo. It smoothens out the jagged “sour, red palisander” vibe I get from Ganymede and makes the composition slightly soapy, vanillic, and white floral. Think Ganymede mixed with Le Labo Neroli or Le Labo Lavande, that’s the vibe. It’s been a relief wearing this cause I was worried at first that it was just gonna be Ganymede in a different bottle but it’s not. It’s its own thing. It’s more unisex than Ganymede is, but that doesn’t mean it’s been neutered. It’s just a different take on the concept like how Hacivat and Cedrat Boise are different takes on Aventus

I can definitely see the comparison to Ganymede. It has the same big combo of Iso E Super, ambroxan, and veramoss (also heavy in the BR DNA) with a bit of sweet immortelle and some citruses at the top. Not as bold, dirty, or leathery as the Marc-Antoine Barrois family of B683 and Ganymede, but the "lite" version of that idea.
