Balmain Homme

My very first “luxury” fragrance, going back to 2017 when I got it in secondary school from my mum, man this is something that reminds me of the past in a good way, the specs of this are really enormous. The smell itself is just different, it is blue indeed but nothing I know compares to it. Wearing this you can feel really special. That’s my opinion. Silage is strong for about 4/5 hours, longevity on my skin is about 10-12 hours, on clothes I can smell it days, weeks, no cap. I don’t know if they discontinued it or what but can’t get it anymore in Poland😭

Fragrance for a Modern Man. Sweet and Sexy, The violet leaf add some freshness to it. Sensual, Opulent and Addictive. One of the Best Fragrance Bottle ever made.

Meh. It smells good, fresh shower gel type, its a true blue fragrance, but its safe to say I understand why its not sold anymore. My dad had this laying around and he gave it to me. 6/10

A little bit more heavy and generic vibe of Versace Eros,but still a good fragrance it you like this family!

Balmain is a brand I respect. I'm not sure why as they don't really cater toward men and when they do there's not many to choose from. Regardless I still like them, a bit Lalique I'm won over by the niche appeal at designer prices. This however is generic rubbish. So sorry to say that because I've no doubt it's wearable and it didn't offend me or anything but possibly worse than that I thought I'd smelled it all before. This was not something I expected from Balmain and especially with a name like Homme, you'd think it was the captain of the flagship? (also because of the Nepoleonesque uniform.) Yeah the bottle is prehaps the most appealing thing about it. The top notes are a tired aquatic like, fresh bergamot then a whispy, synthetic violet accord which again is okay and you could be fooled for thinking quite nice in the first minutes, but I want more frankly! Then like many fragrances these days...burberry brit or Versace Eros to name a couple...it tries to do too much. Ie: fresh and crowd pleasing, ethereal and classically perfumed violet then a faux oriental base of warmer woods and tonka beans and a slightly powdery 'leather' thing??? I don't really get Saffron from Balmain Hommme either but perhaps if I try it again it my come through?? My point is, everything is mixed into oblivion, blended into mediocrity, you can't do everything with a fragrance or it just comes out having no identity at all...for this Balmain are guilty there's just something cheap smelling about it and that is quite the crime. Longevity was 'average' believe it or not? a bit like everything else about this one.

A masculine fragrance for young urban interested in fashion. Warm and Spicy but not too overpowering thanks to the ozonic and fresh top. Good combination of bergamot, leather, flower and wood. Well balanced overall. At first it's too warm to be sensual and too spicy too be seductive. But after 30min the right chemistry appears and it smells classy, elegant and seductive. For me it's between Bleu de Chanel (more fresh and less complexe) and Guess seductive. The cons: Not enought personnality Feel like already smell A safe and classic scent Pretty versatile. This scent work intimately with clothes. If you like to wear white shirts and nice jackets this is probably for you. Can be cloying with time because of the "addictive" side in it. The ingredients seem always the same with Inter Parfums masculine perfumes : woods, violet leaf, moss... No?

- Untitled - The first time I saw the article about this perfume I thought that this would be THE mainstream perfume of 2015. Violet leaves, nutmeg, leather, moss and saffron - notes from my wettest dreams and a bottle so beautiful that it makes my soul ache. And for the better part: Olivier Pescheux as the perfumer (creator of the stunning Arpege Homme, Yohji Homme, Legend) and Balmain as the host for the juice. What could go wrong?? Absolutely EVERYTHING!! Balmain Homme literally smells like nothing. It's sweet but spicy, fresh but dusty, woody but powdery - blended to smell so mediocre that it has no identity whatsoever. It's really hard to get a grasp of this even when the genre it belongs to is so obvious. At times I get a little violet leaf, some synthetic apple and in the later stages it's just a sweet-ish mess of utter nondescriptness. It has the same feel as MB Legend but with 90% less character.. This feels very incomplete - theres no clear notes just some faint whispers of something familiar. How could they release this? Inside that outrageously good-looking bottle?! Woah Balmain...

A new Balmain for men on the counter of my favorite fragrance shop felt amazing. The first sniff and I was instantly enchanted.It reminded me a bit of everything I liked in Dolce & Gabbana pour homme minus the things I disliked about it.So I decided to spray some on my hand. Five minutes later it started to reek in an unsupportable way.It started to transform into something synthetic and cheap.A couple oh hours later I was worst than your cheap supermarket rack deodorant. Twelve hours later the cheap synthetic smell of a 2$ crappy deodorant was stuck on my hand and nothing can take it away. How can Ghesquiere allow this crime?Or after collaborating with H&M,Balmain got stuck in a cheap circle that it can't get out from. Even the Worst Zara fragrance is better than that disaster. A big YUCK

It is always quite silly for aware users when see ppl to spot on the 'given' notes or main accords eventhough there are some trustwise..... Unfortunately, this one is a ridiculously generic-sweet-kinda juice that reminds dozens (at least) of many commercial men colognes in a sweet but uninteresting way; nothing original in it IMO, although i respect anyone's taste! Pitty for me, while i generally respect Balmain mainly because of my mom's addiction to vintage Ivoire of them. Sorry but wouldn't buy this, and if it was a present i guess i'd trade or spare.. but really liked the bottling!! Respect anyway!

The worst perfume in my collection. Bought it blindly because it comes with full bottle of Ivoire (which I like and perform better than this crap) and also beautiful looking bottle. The juice inside is so generic, performs worse than cheaper cologne with no sillage at all. Shame on you Balmain when the beautiful Monsieur Balmain and Vent Vert are both miles ahead. 1/10.

I just received a 2ml sample in a really good perfume shop in my small town in Derbyshire, UK, so am confused as to the release date listed here as being June 2015 as it's still May! Anyway, it smells great! I will give more of a review on this (as time allows) as soon as I can.

You can't go wrong w a Balmain fragrance the brand is luxurious and this one is amazing BUT BUT it just doesn't last at least on my skin what a shame really! I just don't understand why a luxury house such as Balmain puts out mediocre juice SMMFH!!!

this fragrance a bit resembles to Canali Style or Armani Code, but with steroid. It has good projection and longevity that stay more than 8 hours on me. Quite good and safe for daily wear, but unfortunately not my cup of tea.

Sending love to the Balmain house, but this fragrance is kinda of a let down for me. The scent is pleasant but kinda generic, It's Benetton-ish and for the price I'd gladly go for a Benetton. thank you, next. 6.5/10

Unfortunately I rarely find Balmain perfumes in Egypt, but this design of the bottle is the best I've seen in a long time. Phenomenal!
