Blanc Galaxie

Blanc Galaxie is very good. I do agree it smells a bit like expensive lemon scented cleaning fluid, but so do quite a few other fragrances in this genre. It is a slightly sweet, creamy citrus with a white floral accord touch, and a really nice contribution from myrtle, an unsung hero of a note. It reminds me a bit of Dior Homme Cologne 2022 or a slightly less sweet version of Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche, but somehow less overtly masculine and completely unisex. (7/21/25 edit) ... I am editing my original comment that "I would buy a bottle for the right price although I wouldn’t go run to a retailer and buy it at full price", to “I am actively looking for a bottle because after 3 full wears I love it.” Its current Fragrantica score of 4.23 is accurate and deserved. I would probably give it a 4.35, it is that good. I am editing this again on 8/7/25. After getting a bottle and having the pleasure of wearing this a few times, I honestly think it is one of the best citrus🍊🍋 fragrances I have ever smelled. It is really good, and I’m going to go out on a limb and say it is blind buy worthy if you want an amazing citrus fragrance.

Blanc Galaxie seems simple, but it is misleading. You think you will get just any old citrus perfume, but this one is really magical to me. The opening burst reminds me of upscale shopping malls in Singapore, so luxuriously fresh and clean. I really smell the lime and it's delicious. The drydown is what stole my heart, though. I can't describe it well, but the musk in this is heavenly, it lingers in my hair all day, and it's just so pleasing and intoxicating. I think this is great.

A nice citrus male cologne. Classy, easy going. Nice for summer days.

I like it but as a fragrance I don't know. I love citrus scents. Very bright and uplifting, clean. This is all that but to the extreme. This one really does.smell like lemon scented cleaner. Like a high end scented one. I love that scent but this one is just too sharp. The dry down does mellow out and it gets a light musk, like very light but it's stay pretty citrus heavy . It does remind me of issey miyaki a little on the dry down when the other notes get to say hello a bit . But it's really nothing out of the ordinary. Yes the citrus is very heavy and you can tell the quality is super high . Bit it's nothing super special. To me the opening is like eros energy with super extra citrus then mix it with a like issey. Then after about 30 minutes it's like a very lemon laundry detergent. Very nice but as a fragrance it doesn't work for me . I give the scent a 7/10 but as a fragrance 5/10

Heavy citrus bomb, very spicy from the prominent lime note. Great for summer, but does not stand out as innovative or unique. Edit: The dry-down smells very synthetic, I don't think I'm that much of a fan anymore.

First the name, Blanc Galaxie - White Galaxy Like a sky full of stars, or maybe exploring the final frontier? Hardly. A suggestion of milkiness (like the Milky way)? Fortunately, no. Presumably Balmain just needed a name for whatever they were going to put inside the all white-silver bottle in their collection. Space is cool. I sampled the scent blindly, without previewing notes or description. That's my preference, when possible, and I do recommend it. Citrus cologne, freshly dry at first, with mild white florals and musk moving in. I must have smelled a hundred of these, ...and if you're interested in perfumery, you will too. Of course, this Blanc Galaxie is perfectly pleasant and up to its simple task. This costs more than many, ...but the bottle is pretty. sampling, I though bergamot, but leaning drier with grapefruit and lemon. The official story is mostly citron and lime. I won't argue, citrus blends endlessly on tree and in bottle. The first minute could be called limeade-esque. I didn't even guess at the nature of the white florality. Magnolia and myrtle is nicely alliterative, but largely unidentifiable as such. The idea of myrtle's pungent aromatic nuance is intriguing, ...but its not really there. The deeper drydown persists pleasantly as a true EDP should. The effect being somewhere between a floral skin lotion and lemon bars.

The Balmain website says that it's "a total alignment of five citruses [...] a burst of citrus vitality" and they're right. The citron and especially the lime are very prominent and beautiful in this composition. Once it becomes less exclusives and hits discounted retailers I will consider getting a bottle. € 230 for 100ml of this is too big of a price to ask but it's a gorgeous citrus that lasts.

Tried this in store at my local Neiman today. It’s a really beautiful Eau de Cologne style scent. A beautiful light, citrus floral fragrance. It’s been on skin for about 6 hours now and I can still smell it though it’s faint. The quality is there but is it worth the price? Unfortunately not for me. Again it is a really nice scent, just not my style.

I just tried this in neiman marcus as well. I think this is def going to get some hype. It’s very lemon citrus forward with a lot of body coming from the musk. It’s the scent you get when you first squeeze a lemon over your food, but unlike most citrus that scents - that opening stays. Need this to hit discounters

this smells so viscerally like old people. Not in a gross way- it’s a fresh citrus scent, but it invokes the mental image of an old man in suspenders attending a jazz night. Very offputting though, would not wear this.

Smells like jo malone lime and basil which i love. This one is more citrus with a hint of sweetness and has a creamy drydown. while jm lime and basil, tends to be dry and more aromatic.

Unflavored fizzy Pop Rocks Candy, Apollinaris sparkling mineral water from a spring in Germany (like in the film American Psycho), a slice of lime and an unopened Alka-seltzer packet.

Smells literally like Givenchy Gentlemen Cologne with a little more citrus.
