Bleu Infini

Bleu Infini is a bit of a trickster. Despite its name and that sleek bottle, there is nothing conventionally “blue” here. No aquatic breeze, no fresh ocean air. Instead, it opens as a musky, mossy, salty green scent that feels earthy and mysterious. To me, it smells like something out of The Shape of Water—as if that magical sea creature carried this quiet, haunting aura. There’s a strange allure to it, almost animalic yet deeply captivating. It’s one of those perfumes that defies neat categories. Not fresh, not woody, not sweet. Just strange and magnetic. Honestly, it’s one of the hardest scents in my collection to wear. I haven’t had the courage to wear it out yet, but I keep coming back to it, trying to figure it out, like a puzzle I haven’t solved. While I appreciate the artistry, for the price point, I expected more. Update: The more I explore it, the more I realize how perfectly it fits a certain mood. Imagine spending an early morning at the beach, tanning and swimming, then rinsing the salt off in the shower. That clean, sun-warmed skin, touched with a trace of the sea — that’s where Bleu Infini feels most at home.

One of my favorite Bisch perfumes now unexpectedly, a more mature mossier, more interesting Ganymede to me, that scent is really good but it feels a little vapid and soulless after a while, this is has some coastal forest neo-Chypre super cool and borders on using just enough akigalawood not to be annoying

This is very unique. I can't stop smelling it. If you spray on your clothes, it lasts forever. This parfum is different from everything I have ever used. I bought it, it was expensive, but this is really unique. Sometimes I don't have ocasion to use it, as it is quite unique. I recommend

The opening of this fragrance is a beautiful and classy but not everyone’s cup of tea. Salty moss with sage and sweet undertones of rose. The fragrance is extremely potent you’ll smell it for hours and it develops into a more appealing lightly sweet & salty moss

This smells fantastic. It is blue in its own way. I don't get ganymede or bois imperial. Very smooth clean, almost powdery marine salty mossy green wood. Quality comes off as high. Surprised. Unique.

Thought it does really is very similar to Ganymede, I find it less leathery and more chypre. Strong sillage, it is very polarising. My favourite in the collection.

Okay so I haven't worn Marc Antoine Bahwah's fragrances for ages (2020) but I instantly recognized the 'cosmic incense' accords and signature trickery in the form of Akigala wood a newish (it's actually been around a while now) molecule people seem to hate!!! I think as far as irritating, overused, structural perfume base materials it's pretty mild mannered but what do I know hey?? The opening is undoubtedly Ganymedesque and the 'bleu' association is kinda pushed because it is somewhat fresh and yeah blues, and turquoises okay. and jade greens and purples, then reds... well you know the colours you don't need me to list them, Orange!??!? A whole opalescent nebula of colours swirl about this thing. To counter that, I get this off, sort of cabbage schnapps (Kids? lol) sort of thing, but that doesn't persist thankfully. The whole modern moss and diffusive resinous spangle is just too tenacious to go away and what your left with is actually a much more mellow and wearable take on the whole Quentin Bisch vibe. Where I find it differs is a much more flat, driftwood hollow feeling on the skin, it's not as annoying as Ganymede or Bois Imperiale nd I like both those perfumes to a degree but I found wearing them something of a screechy ordeal! This is more subdued, but maybe even too much so and this would likely be a criticism from fans of the genre, perceiving Bleu Infini as a pale pretender, and they may also have a point. This is a bit of a curveball to what I was saying about the cohesion of the collection, it's in keeping with the resinous, spicy, spikes and such, maybe the toned downness of what I know this sort of perfume can be, not gonna lie though this is a bit of an outlier in the collection and sticks out a touch.

I’ve only had this fragrance for about a week, so I’m still testing it in different settings and weather, but here are my early impressions. On my skin, it opens quite sharp and herbal. At first spray, it’s not the most pleasant stage for me — it feels a bit green and piercing, almost medicinal in tone. But that opening doesn’t last long. As it develops, it softens and transforms into something much warmer and more enjoyable. I start to get a sweet, slightly gourmand impression that reminds me of cinnamon-flavoured oatmeal — cozy, creamy, and subtly spicy, with a woody undertone that keeps it grounded rather than overly sweet. This is still very much a “getting to know it” phase for me, so my perception might evolve over time and could be different from others. Performance-wise, it’s impressive so far. Longevity is easily over 12 hours on my skin. I can still smell it clearly the next morning after wearing it. Current testing conditions: cool summer weather (not hot yet), which might also be influencing how the sweetness and woods come through.

Open with a good scent of oak moss but at the dry down it’s Bois imperial

Oakmoss beast, opens very strong with oakmoss, seaweed/kelp type smell. There is a kind of eucalyptus and cypress touch there too. A bitter opening similar to something like Encre Noir, Yatagan or Aesop fragrances. Medicinal, the clary sage adds a coconut shell type vibe. Calms down to a sweeter base of akigala wood and rose that is found in most of Bisch’s compositions. Has a salty photorealistic marine vibe similar to Sel Marin. This is nothing like Ganymede, this is bitter, medicinal and Ganymede has a mandarin and saffron sweetness to balance it out. This is much much closer to Healy’s Sel Marin than Ganymede. People expecting a “blue” fragrance will definitely be disappointed. Not a love here, but I will let it settle a bit.

This smells like an old tea bag it’s not for me. When they say mossy and earthy they were not lien🚫🚮

I finally got a full bottle of this one. I got a 2ml sample a couple years ago and when I first tried it I thought it was interesting but nothing mind blowing but after trying it again recently I realized there something about it that bring me back to the 2000s, it doesn't smell like a fragrance from the 2000s but ite smells like a feeling from that time. Like maybe a school dance or the feeling of excitement of growing up. This fragrance smells like a feeling or memory thay maybe never existed. Its not a everyday fragrance and its extremely over powering. All you need is two sprays and will last all day. It does smell like other Quentin Bisch fragrances but this one might be hes best one. Its has a nice sweetness and interesting smell that will make be people wonder what your wearing. I would wear this in night outs, cooler weather, and special events. This will make you stand out from the crowd. The price is high but since you only need 2 or 3 sprays the bottle can last you a couple years.

I know Carbone get's a lot of attention but Bleu Infini is just something else, it still feels unique in the sea of perfumes. I think the notes might seem a bit of scary and not so easy to wear but this is quite versatile. Maybe to ome not the easyest to wear but I see this as quite a versatile perfume. I wore this perfume during a warm weather, during rainy days, in the evening, in the daytime and it actually works every time quite nicely. It is for sure not a fresh light scent, but there is some strange easiness, maybe it's the sage but it feels nice even in warm weather. I feel that most of the people would assume this as a masculine scent but I am a female and I think this wears very luxurious on a female. It's not like 'oh she's femme fatale', but more like 'oh she knows luxury' type of scent. It feels like dusty even powdery dry woody scent with aromatic notes. I don't get any similarities to Ganymede, not even a glimpse. It is a totally different genre.

Can't believe I'm saying this yet again about another scent: but it's same exact DNA as Gaynemede, Bois Imperial, Amouage. Akigala wood, that celery green/immortelle vibe, etc etc. I think Gaynemede is special but why spend all that money when it's being offered in cheaper packaging: Bois Emperial. I will say, I do like the addition of labdanum in this one, warms it up a bit. But yeah. This structure. Again.

Salty lichen - absolutely intoxicating. There’s a base note of labdanum that comes through in the dry down. If you like true, unadulterated oakmoss that persists through the wear you will love this. This doesn’t smell like the metallic Ganymede, which is another Quentin Bisch masterpiece, but you can tell it’s made by the same artist. Don’t expect a typical aquatic, this is much more special. Well done!

It has a shocking opening, but when you put water on your skin it gets a bit diluted and smells amazing actually. The next step: I need to think of something to layer it with because it could be a great woody base with a sweet touch of Sage. For men, it'd probably be great as it is. It is not Oud or Salt. It has its own unique style (unlike most fragrances of this collection) and it is very attractive.

This is a very solid fougère. The opening is quite harsh, sharp, and herbal, dominated by clary sage. The mossy notes that follow, in my opinion, are overly intense. And by intensity, I mean more of the 'decayed' aspect of the mossy character. As an olfactory experience, it's fun but I never found it wearable.

Oh my, the scent is so classy and refined. It's a pure love. The opening is a bit bitter for my taste, and takes time to settle. Can someone suggest me a solution?
