Cuir Élysées

The fragrance opens with a dark, jewel raspberry, not sugary, but velvety and ripe. It’s the kind of fruit note that feels like a flash of color against black leather. Almost immediately, the leather accord rises, and this leather isn’t rugged or smoky; it’s smooth, polished, and slightly warm, lending the scent a confident bad bitch edge. As it settles, the perfume deepens into a soft, rounded warmth. There’s a faint sweetness that never becomes gourmand (thank goodness) and is balanced wood and a whisper of amber. The result is a fragrance that feels both decadent and composed, like someone who appreciates luxury but doesn’t need to flaunt it. I made my way to Macy’s without hesitation. I had only discovered the fragrance today from a sample that accompanied another purchase, but it swept me off my feet the moment I tried it, so I had to buy it.

This is so beautiful but in an aggressive way. I love the raspberry sweetness and there’s a bit of rose in there but truly, the star of the show is the leather note! So in your face but in a wonderful way!! This has the same sort of attitude as Fétiche La Rose, in a way. They do not smell the same but they are both fragrances that are in your face and loud/obnoxious. Personally, it’s a love 😍 every once in a while, I love me a good strong fragrance that projects and that has people asking questions 😅😂😂 This is more of a Fall/Winter fragrance, because it is so strong and it is definitely not a safe office scent, you’ll choke every one in your vicinity...so, yeah, absolutely not a safe blind buy. Also, you must love leather (as a note) and be into fragrances that scream: “I have arrived!!”🤭🤭🤭

This has nothing to do with LVEB, I second what Thegrimmreaderr wrote- this is an incredible and well balanced sweet raspberry and smooth leather scent. It is actually very long lasting, but doesn’t project as well as I would like it to as it is absolutely addictive. I hope it is due to it being brand new and it macerates into something a little stronger. Having said that, it’s deep, lovely, well rounded fragrance and one of the best in this profile.

First of all, this smells nothing like any of the LVEB so the trolls really need to get a life. Second, this is an incredible fragrance if you're into leather scents. It's perfectly unisex IMO. The raspberry keeps it from being too feminine. The leather is the most prominent note for me but the sweet raspberry keeps it from being a one-not-wonder. I absolutely love this and am so glad I snagged a bottle during the Neiman sale.

This is truly an intoxicating fragrance. It’s mostly a slightly dark raspberry with a hint of rose and leather in the background. The sandalwood makes it smoother as time passes by. It’s lasting around 12 hours on my skin and 3 days on clothing.

I liked it in the store....and I liked it on initially. It is pretty raspberry heavy, and reminds me of the bath and body works raspberry body spray I had in the late 90’s. Very synthetic, leather is lost. I’m going to try to pair/layer with my ombré leather to see if it helps balance the sweet. Otherwise I’m calling it a loss of $200

Rich young b*itch perfume. Trying to be opulent, but just misses the mark. Has all the potential, but relies too heavily on its clout (Balmain name) to get by. Perfect for a brunch in Upper Eastside Manhattan mid summer.

The combination of the tartness of the raspberry with the leather was headache inducing. The leather notes were constant to me. This is the first fragrance I had tried with leather in it and I've learned thats not a note for me. I ended up layering it with SDJ 62 and seperatly with SDJ 76 which toned the leather down and made it tolerable to finish the sample.

This is rough. I tried it knowing it had a lower rating and the rating definitely fits the juice. Very safe to skip this one entirely. Smells like a girl wearing very cheap raspberry body spray getting into a new car with new leather seats on a first date that doesn't go beyond that. Smells like a date that's over before it even started.

Wow, this is just bad. Nauseatingly sweet, extremely synthetic. There is a vaguely pleasant leather accord under the exaggerated sweetness of fake raspberry, but I can barely smell it.

I very rarely absolutely hate any sort of fragrances, but this is one I absolutely hate. It actually smells like an old dusty musty damp basement or stairwell. It just smells... Disgusting. I don't know what they were going for with these notes but I think its the leather that just throws off and ruins it. Do not blind buy this, actually don't buy this at all.

Zero LVEB This wore medicinally on my skin and I had to scrub it off. I was hoping for more from Pierre Balmain.

If I could be the one to choose which raspberry leather perfumes become well-renowned, the world might look like a very different place. This Cuir Élysées is the amazing raspberry leather perfume that Tom Ford Tuscan Leather only pretends to be. (Though most TF TL fans probably don't care much about those slight raspberries anyway.) While the raspberry note in Tuscan Leather is pointlessly faint, here it pours out as tartly & tangily sweet jam, with pink pepper adding bright enhancement. I also want to invoke the presence of sharply green fractionated patchouli, even though the official notes won't cooperate. There is something of the 'fruitchouli in excess' about this. This might even read as as a preferably simplified, sweetened, and intensified flanker to Azzaro's Forever Wanted Elixir, ...though such a comparison is even less likely to gain any traction. Sampling this was immensely enjoyable. I should add that I wore this outside on a warm, not hot, summer day. The day's gentle heat probably did supply some exceptionally pleasurable warmth and lift to both the leather and the jam.

Trying the new Balmain Cuir Élysées, a bright pink beauty on skin today. Picture Tom Ford Tuscan leather was stripped cleaned from the sensuality of last night and fitted into a bright pink silk gown that’s poured onto the body this would be it. Not so dark and moody like most raspberry leather fragrances we’ve seen such as Givenchy Hot Couture but more along the line of the trending flirty fruity floral beauties alongside Delina, Very Good Girl but with a touch of punk with that leather note. By no means are they similar, they would simply fall into that same family. If Eh Nihilo Lust in Paradise is a fragrance in that family in the break of down then this would be the fragrance in that family closer to nightfall, Very Good Girl Elixir would then be closer to 9pm if that makes sense.

It’s good but not for me, if I were to blind buy I wouldn’t be mad. If you love fetiche la rose by loubiton or appreciate delina exclusif u would like this. It’s like a mix of those two but with raspberry instead of cherry like in fetiche. Leather is almost transparent, can’t even detect it, and raspberry is dominant. On the sweeter side,it unique. Nothing like a mainstream perfume. I would forsure compliment if I smelled a girl wearing this on a night out.

You better love leather in your fragrances because this is a leather bomb in the initial spray and at the dry down!! The mid transforms to this beautiful raspberry creamy accord probably from the sandalwood in the mid. Then it dries down to a strong leathery profile almost like a strong musk...a the leather turns on my skin like a Tiziana Terenzi musk

You lost me at pink pepper. It's everywhere and it's just sad.
