Extatic Intense Gold

This stuff is amazing. Intoxicating. Luxurious. Deep. Rich. Warm. Balsamic. Vanillic. Jasmine heavy. Powdery heliotrope. Extatic Gold by Balmain is a smooth, rich, ambery scent. Feels very balanced, rounded, calm, cozy, enveloping. Why on earth was this discontinued is beyond me??? In my eyes, this fragrance belongs to the Golden Era when designers used to create unbelievable, amazing scents that were strong, didn’t cost an arm and a leg, and smelled unique. Nowadays, everything designer is going towards mediocrity and monotony! Beautiful and attractive perfume that blends jasmine and heliotrope with vanilla, amber and labdanum. Simple structure, simply beautiful, warm scent. Fall season in a bottle! Luxurious bottle and packaging, classic design with golden accents on black background. So happy to have a bottle. If I am not mistaken, it’s a unicorn these days...

Och, my... Balmain Extatic Intense Gold is a true masterpiece!!! ❤️🔥 Vanilla is here so round, creamy, not too sweet, not too prominent. I get very well blended almonds, heliotrope, smoke, tonka, labdanum. Very womanly and sensual, warm, sexy. It is quite linear, as others say - but this is big advantage of this juice in my opinion. World is full of perfumes that open with great zest and then always dry down to vanilla and musk. This one is different. You get ALL ingredients magicaly mixed and blended since the first spray till the drydown. The scent gets activated by warmth of your skin and lingers sweetly around you with approx 1,5 meter silage. Lasts up to 4-6 hours. So sad it has been a short line available only for 2 years. So glad I bought 2 bottles (after a week of waering this beauty and collecting zyllion of compliments) 😉

What a beauty Extatic Intense Gold by Balmain is! This is the most interesting vanilla I've ever smelled, absolutely beautiful smell, very elegant and classy. It was a blind buy for me, but I am so happy with this fragrance. Definitely worth a try, if you like amber and vanilla sweetness, you can't go wrong...

A powdery resinous perfume! This is so good. This perfume is warm, sensual and dense. Amber and labdanum are the most detectable for my nose, powdered by some heliotrope and sweetened by some vanilla. As simple as this. The result is gorgeous! I don't detect the jasmine at all! Simply beautiful!

A lovely, modern floral with a hint of vanilla and a lot more of Labdanum. Charming, with reasonably good longevity and sillage. It has just enough powder to be richer than some florals, and enough creaminess to mollify vanilla lovers. I'd truly enjoying smelling Extatic Intense Gold in the air about me, as the composition is quality and a nice change from kiwi-peony-candy! I'm not as impressed as I would like to be, however, owing to the lack of dark, naughty notes. It IS dark compared to a fruity-floral, but not so dangerous when compared to Rochas Femme, Tabu, or Habanita. *Sigh* Balmain's presentation is gorgeous. I guess black and gold bottles with balsamic accords listed get my hopes up where only Vintages and Arabians ever go.... Update - The base notes are indeed more balsamic and rich. Though not my favorite noire femme, Balmain is a fine fragrance in the newer style.

Sex in a bottle. Not very sweet. I get lots of labdanum and vanilla but the jasmine is not potent. I get a bit of heliotrope. This is not a fragrance of great depth and pretty much linear on me. The sillage is moderate like its longevity which is surprising considering the notes in this. Great for layering with fragrances. What really stands out is the powderiness and creaminess. I love to use it for layering.

More balsamic, deep pleasant oriental, a lot creamier than the first Extatic. I would say it is an oriental pleasure in a bottle. Good for cold fall and winter days.

DIFFICULT PERFUME.NEVER PURCHASE IT AS A BLIND DATE

My dry winter skin didn't absorb many of the listed notes. It was a purely balsamic, very spicy and linear fragrance. This should smell like the perfect winter scent but it just didn't work on my skin during this season. Now with springtime temperatures, my skin is retaining more of the notes and I am enjoying its full potential! The notes are still somewhat of a roller coaster. Beautiful opening, harsh middle, but intoxicating drydown! The vanilla blossom begins to give this perfume some sweetness and balance. The kinks smooth out and a well-blended trail is left for the entirety of its time. Such a unique and pleasing smell.

This is very rich and deep vanilla, i would even dare to say it's on the darker side. Heliotrope gives it slightly powdery touch. Very beautiful especially for vanilla lover. But there are two points that make Intense Gold less valuable for me: sillage which is very close, definitely skin scent on me and second point is longevity, i don't find it longlasting at all. Such a shame.

Was surprised at how intense this was. It smells very leather/sandalwood to me, balsamic and creamy, a nice winter scent. edit: i ended up buying this beauty, i couldn't get it out of my head. Its one of the best balmy/vanilla scents I've smelt. I might even buy a backup. The dry down smells a bit like decadence meets tom ford femme.

Hmm...rich old lady. A very nice rich old lady, but old lady nonetheless.
