I think that this perfume is absolutely beautiful! It is a moderately spicy floral bouquet with a nice and fluffy, powdery base from the iris and the spiciness from the georgywood. Lily's waxy white floracy is most prominent to me, followed by the sweet apricot-like scent of osmanthus that brings a very feminine sweetness to this fragrance. I smell hints of the magnolia and the ylang ylang, but nothing too obvious. That is my only criticism, that I wish that these two notes were slightly more obvious in the profile of this perfume. The wear time on my skin was about 8 and a half hours and the projection of it was an arm's length radius, enveloping me in a delicious and sexy halo of scent. I love this for all seasons and all times of the day, but feel like it works especially well during either an autumn or winter evening, due to its spiciness. It isn't spice for those who hate spice though, which is perfect for me! This perfume is still firmly a floral one. The smell of this fragrance is definitely unique and Balmain outdid themselves with this one! The bottle is also very beautiful, simple and elegant. I love the shape of the bottle, its expensive feeling weight, the gold accents and how the accents look against the bright red bottle. The ridged look is pretty too. This perfume is for a confident and grounded woman who is not shy and is ready and willing to stick out in the best possible way, which is why I think of this as something that a woman between the ages of 25-34 would love, though all ages can certainly wear it! It isn't your typical gross fruity gourmand or woody and ambery fragrance which is popular these days for women, so you won't smell like everyone else. The price is also great for an exclusive line by a designer fragrance house too, especially compared to Chanel, Dior and even more so, Tom Ford! Altogether, I would give this fragrance an 8.2/10. I highly recommend it to all women!

This is hard to describe. The first spray is like candy but it quickly transitions to osmanthus and iris, which together smell like suede or leather. The iris is subtle at first, but it’s always there and seems to intensify as it dries down giving this earthiness contrasted with succulent fruitiness of the osmanthus. As someone who doesn’t typically go for ylang, you can definitely smell it, and it just works in this fragrance. The lily plays in back to provide some watery white floral effects but is very muted. Sometimes I think I smell indolic tuberose as well. I am really loving this and I feel like I have smelled this profile before, it reminds me of another scent in a red bottle somehow—but I don’t think I’ve ever smelled iris quite like this. While the entire collection solid this is exceptional.

Balmain Rouge is one of those rare fragrances where the composition matters more than the individual notes. There is a slight bitterness in the opening on my skin, but it quickly melts into a beautifully balanced floral heart that feels creamy, soft, rich, and effortlessly luxurious. What impresses me most is the blending. No note sticks out, nothing feels sharp or out of place. Instead, the florals merge into a seamless, rounded aura that is both comforting and elegant. It has presence and excellent longevity, yet never feels heavy. I have been told that I smell like a warm summer evening when I wear Balmain Rouge edp. Sophisticated, soothing, and addictive to smell on skin, this is easily one of the most beautiful modern florals I have worn in a long time. Full-bottle worthy.

A bouquet of pink and yellow flowers, this is a big sweet floral but natural smelling. Reminiscent of 80s powerhouse fragrances that are not really made anymore; loud but at the same time elegant and luxurious smelling. I can see a woman all dressed up going to a wedding or church on Easter Sunday wearing this, but it is beautiful enough for anyone to enjoy. I am impressed with all of the new Balmain fragrances and this is a fine example of what this house offers. Thumbs up.

Delicious. This is utterly spellbinding. It is sweet, so you must be ok with that. However, it is ultimately an airy and beautifully sweet floral. While it may not be what is typically classified as niche in terms of smell, the quality and uniqueness still made this full bottle worthy for me. I can see this garnering many compliments. I smelled it on an associate in store—the dry down—and knew that I wanted it. It is a beautiful scent from start to finish.

This scent profile is definitely not something I’d typically go for...but when I tell you this is my #1 favorite fragrance of all time! This fragrance is so elegant! If I could describe a woman who would wear this, it would be a beautiful woman with pin straight hair wearing a monochromatic pants/dress suit. I just see Cheetah girls X Chic Aesthetic! 10/10 all around! 🦢♥️✨🪽🥂💋🐆

Sampled this and it's gorgeous. Someone below said the first spray smells like candy, and it really does - an expensive, slightly floral candy. It smells fruity and floral with some slightly green notes (like a beautiful garden on a humid summer night). The vibe is flirty and fun and carefree. I can't stop smelling my wrist where I've sprayed it!!

Oh My!! Beautiful. Very elegant, classy & feminine scent. The notes are very well blended (no harshness, no note overpowering the other), just the right balance of each note. I’m not an osmanthus fan and I’m so glad, it is mute on my skin (prefer it this way). A tad too sweet to consider unisex but It would smell fantastic on a man nonetheless.

This became my signature perfume. I smelled the sample card until i bought the perfume. It is a sexy, mesmerising scent. I think it has a saffron hint to it. I love to smell woods and flowers in the same perfume. This perfume has an amazing balance of wood and flower notes. You should definitely give it a try!

This really surprised me. I haven't smelt a perfume that smells this good in a long time. It smells young and fruity. Sometimes I will be in public and a woman walks by who smells incredible and I wish I smelled like her... I think this scent is what I've been looking for!

Oh my lord. Another Quentin Bisch stunner. This is as lush and sexy as can be. Made for a grown woman who knows who she is and is unapologetic about her strength and allure. There’s nothing cutesy or innocent about Balmain Rouge and I love it.

I'm a sucker for osmanthus, so it's no surprise that I would love this one. I got a couple of compliments on it, too! I really like that the iris comes through and adds that delicate papery touch to offset the heavier osmanthus. Love it.

Sweet woody, powdery lily, very feminine , soft and warm from the ylang and osmanthus, a bit aquatic. The projection is mediumand it will get you compliments. Is very similar to Burberry Weekend for her edp, but Balmain is more complex

Delightfully bright , smoldering and attractive this is a less dark version of D'orsay Lust Flower some differences I would say she is a gemini, you don't wanna go there with where but you can't help it she's mesmerizing.

Usually not a huge fan of this scent profile but something about this smells extremely nostalgic, like a 2016 nostalgia. It almost smells like maybe the smell of scented slime that we used to make or buy.

This is such a soft and pretty scent. I love it so much. The magnolia is what really shines in this fragrance. Perfect for Spring and Summer. Definitely full bottle worthy.

Beautiful floral with a lovely sweet touch that radiates in the sillage. It does give a nostalgic vibe. So glad I have this in my collection.

Very lovely scent . Soft floral but it is definitely not a light fragrance . You kind of get a feel for what it will smell like with the name rouge and the color. I don't know about the notes I'm guessing the georgywood is what I'm smelling a lot of. And the creamy vibes of the ylang. It's nice and smells high end for sure. But to me it definitely leans more feminine. It reminds me a bit of older women's perfume. Smells nice but not for me..it smells like a lighter silky Guess Red currant and balsam . I give this a 7/10 bit not for me

Very spring like, flowery and woody, its very well blended because I cant tell the notes apart. It doesn't evoke any particular feeling for me.

I ordered a bottle from Balmain website, it came beautifully wrapped, and tadaaaa... well, not my best blind buy, and in my opinion, definitely not worth the price. It's a very familiar to other mega-floral fragrances that are hyped these days, and I can confirm that I've smelled similar scent before on many ladies out there. To my nose, it's perhaps too sharp on the opening, it's not rosy fragrance at all, there is a bit of Alien DNA somewhere among all the flowery sharpness, and on the dry down it gets more rounded, less sharp, more musky as well, and it gives me particles of musty sweat, too. I would see mature ladies wear this, but I don't really mind who wears what. I'm going to put a sign on my wall: 'try before you buy!'.

An absolutely sublime opening of sweet, juicy, syrupy fruits with a subtle woody touch. Rouge is here! Alas! This moment of bliss doesn’t last. 'Red' suddenly turns into 'White'; neat, clean white florals that feel terribly synthetic, with an unbearable rubbery or plasticky smell that just won’t go away. Clearly, this is the kind of perfume you really need to try for yourself! In short, Red is an illusion, or perhaps I should say, a disillusion...

It’s a waxy kind of soft floral. Iris sets the tone of it all. Aging it a bit. On first sniff I definitely thought this may have cedar wood in it but I’m guessing it’s the other woody note listed. The magnolia and lily are the most prominent floral notes I get. Smells like an expensive shampoo but not in a bad way. Not for me but still nice.

im starting to believe i don’t like Osmanthus. the Lily makes an appearance but that Osmanthus is so potent, its all i smell. This isn’t a fragrance that will fade quickly. This lasted all day and still going through the night on my skin. You get your moneys worth, that’s for sure. not a safe blind buy, make sure you are able to sample this.

I should like this. I like perfumes with all the featured notes. I appreciate Quentin Bisch's other works. But Balmain Rouge is just too sweet, with no contrasting notes to moderate the floral sweetness. I'm so sad that this is a fail, as I had high hopes for it.

This scent felt familiar somehow, but I couldn't quite place it until the day I tried Tubéreuse Astrale again, and it hit me. At its core, it’s a floral fragrance, but it leans heavily into a 'perfumey' territory, far from anything natural. I've never really liked osmanthus to begin with, and it's noticeable here too. What bothered me the most was how the fragrance never quite transformed into a clean white floral bouquet, despite the ingredients suggesting it might. It could be a good pick for those who want to fill the room with a bold feminine energy but no matter how many times I tried, I just couldn't warm up to it.

Old, mature floral. Something your granny would wear. Sickly sweet and syrupy at first, but drys down to a plastic, rubbery scent. Reminds me of a house candle. Could work for cold weather, but I don't think I would find this attractive on someone as it's more mature.

...or maybe Red Talisman? This Rouge by Balmain Beauty possesses a memorable distinctiveness. At first, it does openswith that too-common sense of corn masa and white florals, ...which I don't associate strongly with the primary listed notes, ...but of course, notes are just notes, and the underlying chemistry may vary greatly between scents described by the same subjective note. Fortunately, the corn nuance soon dies down as the fragrance dries. Instead, overall, the sweet spiciness of lily is most dominant, ...while osmanthus seems more represented here by its leatheriness, than its peachiness. That, in itself, is a bit odd, ...but the true dark horse here may well be Georgywood, a complex and still fairly uncommon synthetic. It is most famously employed in the note profile of Blue Talisman by Ex Nihilo. No, Balmain's Rouge doesn't smell exactly like Blue Talisman, ...but it does smell like the result of layering Blue Talisman with a mixed bouquet of white and yellow floral notes. ...and I was a worried that the name Rouge might be a tip-off for another unneeded Baccarat 540 'tribute', ...though Georgywood does carry along its own subtle aspect of saffron. I like this odd Rouge, ...almost as much as I like the fresher Blue Talisman, and for the same reason. Both bear the same identifiably pleasant and distinct synthetic note. One for which I have yet to tire. These two scents will surely be filed adjacently in my brain's olfactory library.

Although this isn’t similar to possibilities by La Perla , it is in the same category and the closest to a sexy floral that I’ve discovered. Finally got my bottle ... surprised this isn’t talked about much. I envision myself wearing this in Miami vacations in the heat or in the hot tropical nights. So sensual, very rich , and unique. This is a SEXY spicy floral. Incredible! My husband said “WOWWWW” to this and he hates florals. They give him headaches and smell to him like his aunts so it’s a turn off. So this is a major LOVE . So happy I also wore this to a friends wedding and I got a compliment by passing saying I smell so good. This is a compliment getter

This is a nice high end designer fragrance but for me it’s just a like, not a love. It’s one of those scents I would reach for very rarely. I liked the opening more than I did the dry down. The opening is bright and candy like just as some other reviews have mentioned and the dry down is okay but bored me if I’m being honest. The longer I wore it, it felt a little too perfume-y like a lot of designer scents can be but overall it is still a great fragrance that I can see being crowd pleasing just not for me. I will say it has excellent sillage and longevity and I think is worth the $ if you’re into this type of scent profile.

Reminds me of tuberuse austrle but tolerable. Smells so much a like but an elevated version. Airy sexy florals with some freshness, a bit of a metallic COLD fresh smell. Fresh florals. Not the animalic type of florals. Very balanced. Flowers are like the ones in possibilities, it won’t turn off people. There is a tiny hint of a dry saffron smell (bit rubbery). Similar to the one in Rosendo no 5 (which I hate, but smells great in here). I felt on top of the world while wearing this. Lasts and projects all day, its beast mode. Sophisticated but sexy. Next perfume hype.

Loved this after giving a few minutes to its bloom time on skin. Loved it. I understand the reviews on sexiness. This is good stuff. So beautiful, floral and sweet all at once. What a sillage! When this hits the air, it is electric. Ordered a bottle immediately. Nothing like Fleur Narcotique which I also own. Definitely night time appropriate although I will wear this also during the day when I feel gorgeous and want to be noticed. Very feminine and unique take on lily. It’s like I opened a bouquet of stargazers on woods. So lovely.

Ylang explosion on floral base. I have not smelled such a bold floral scent in a long time. It is basically a lily and osmanthus fresh bouquet with addition of hot ylang; for me it adds a solid tropical vibe and makes the scent really interesting. Projection is moderate, but the scent lasts long and calms down after 2 hours, it becomes more dry, yet still captivating. Very, very good creation! Edit: I fully agree that it has 90s vibe, it reminds me a tiny bit of Sun Moon and Stars by K. Lagerfeld, without metallic vanilla.

This one is hard for me to describe, but I also don't usually do florals. I wore this a couple times from a sampler, and WOW. Rouge is a POWERHOUSE floral scent!!! 1 spray is, unfortunately, just too much for me (and I wonder if it was too much for anyone iny vicinity!!). Longevity is great, and that's all I can really effectively share about Rouge. Smells like a good quality perfume if the notes appeal to you!

This is a really pretty woody floral. It has a classic scent sent profile to me. I could see this being worn to dinner or to the office. It’s elegant. You definitely get that Quentin bish DNA with the rose and the fruits and the wood. It’s lovely, just not terribly unique

I might consider this for spring/summer as it's a fruit/floral. I tend to avoid these, as sometimes they can be reminiscent of Jr. High. It's a quality scent, however, and the woody notes add complexity. Just not my favorite of Les Éternels due to the overbearing flowers.

She’s pretty! that Georgeywood can be a bit “tire-y” but it works here. It’s pretty dominant along with the lily and Osmanthus. I think it smells nearly identical to tiger lily without the coconut. But this one has a better dry down and lasts a lot longer. Verycprettt

This reminds me of Paco Rabanne 1 million, the original EDT. Sweet and bubble-gummy. Really likeable but not overly impressive or unique.

Substitute the mango for an apricot note a you get a deeper Moonlight in Haven by Killian, less dessert-like, more ambery floral.

I see why it is compared to Weekend. But Burberry is so much nicer, rounder and richer.
