Rosewood Amor

I would like to start with saying that this is something that will be very dependent on your body chemistry as to how it wears so DONT blind buy unless you can do returns. On me, I got mostly oak moss and saffron. It was a soft, clean skin scent. The longevity was moderate, but if you want an inoffensive smell that isn’t sweet this may be good to try. I’d say solidly unisex though. It lasts well with lotion and turns almost cinnamon scented on me with a couple hours. Very nice overall and not a bank breaker ($20 at Burlington). EDIT: This is MUCH better in warm weather which I forgot to mention. In cold weather it really doesn’t smell like much, but in warmer weather it smells lovely and goes a bit floral. The saffron also Heath around much longer the warmer it is. Also, I’ve smelled MFK Baccarat 540 and this is nearly an exact dupe for it on me. You have to reapply as it’s not as strong, but basically the same scent.

Cloud doesn’t even come close to being a dupe for baccarat rouge after I smelled this! (I’m exaggerating but you know what I mean) This is pretty much an exact dupe for BR540 like exact. The performance isn’t as good and I’m okay with that because if I paid $300 for BR540 and this performed better I would be fighting someone. Now with that said the performance isn’t bad, I caught whiffs of throughout the entire day and could still smell it at the end of the night. The sillage isn’t anything crazy no ones gonna be able to smell you from across the room but you’ll still get noticed wearing this. Keep an eye out at your local discounters like Tj maxx and Marshall’s you can find it for around $20 there instead of paying $50 on fragrancex or fragrancenet.

I LOVE this one. Bought the 100ml for $16 at TJ's without reading any reviews or notes. I've had good luck with Banana Republic fragrances in the past so I figured what the heck. I sprayed it this morning and instantly loved it, but could not figure out what it reminded me of. About an hour into wearing it, it clicked---definitely BR540. Moreso than Cloud does, for sure. And as I love BR540 quite a bit, this is a big love for me as well. If you're looking for a cheaper dupe and don't find Cloud to scratch that itch (which it doesn't for me--I love Cloud, but don't find it a dupe for BR540), I say hunt this one down, you won't be disappointed. This is even better than some actual dupe oils I've tested, tbh. Plus, the bottle is pretty. :)

This is nice and BR540ish but I like Cloud better for its fluff. Actually this one has a fruity, crisp, sweet aspect of the “type” that I appreciate with a mild side of band-aids sometimes that I don’t mind. I never get band aids from Cloud though. I think these are different enough to keep both? The opening notes of this are really beautiful! Has that airy sugar vibe. Like the raspberries on the top of a crème brûlée floating mysteriously in the air. I wish I didn’t go nose blind to this. It’s very good.

Very medicinal. I love that clean Dr office smell. I love saffron which is why I bought this but I actually don't get any of the notes listed 😅 I still consider this a blind buy win because its no good even though its nothing like its described. Very Dentist office, gauze, nitrile gloves, scented. Sterile but wonderful?

This is so lovely on my skin. It's airy, ambery and sweet. I do see the resemblance to MFK 540. You won't get the sillage or lasting power of MFK 540, but they do smell pretty much the same. I do get more fruitiness in this one.

Incredibly close to BR540, I’d say pretty much a clone, the closest I’ve come across to date. Lovely way to try the pricey scent for much less. For the price the longevity is solid.

Definitely a clone of BR540. I have a bottle of BR540 and I love comparing dupes. This and Zara pretty much nail it. Got my bottle for $10.

I have tried many BK540 clones. This is the closest to BK540. Excellent scent for the price. Bought 2 bottles.

This smells like BK540. Very affordable and smells nice. Sillage is ehh... but could be better.

This is spot on dupe for BR540 without the heavy price, and some performance as well as sillage. But..: for $20 at a local discount store I am not going to complain and I would definitely repurchase again, and again at that price point. If you don’t want to pay the full BR540 price, you may like Al Haramain Amber Oud Rouge instead as that also is an excellent dupe. To me, this perfume, Rosewood Amor is a lot lighter than the Al Haramain and doesn’t project as well or have the same sillage but when price is the ultimate factor then go with this. Rosewood Amor is beautifully mixed and feels a lot more expensive than it is. I would put it more in an eau de toilette category than an actual parfum based on all performance factors. It would be perfect for an office situation, or daytime events. If you are looking for longevity you may be disappointed.

Heard about this online and hoped I'd stumble across it in person to try it out. Saw it at a Perfumania outlet, but at $70 I thought I could find a better deal. Sure enough later that same day I found it at TJ Maxx for $20! And yes, it's basically an exact dupe of 540 without the beast mode performance. This one's not going to fill the room, but I sprayed it on at night and could detect a faint whiff of it the next morning, about 11 hours later. If you can find this for a good price, this is a must have. I would say under $50 is good, but keep an eye out at your TJ Maxx and Marshalls type stores for a steal.

Like Baccarat Rouge 540, this smells exactly like a "fancy" department store from the 2000s-2010s! Where the shoe department was right next to the fragrance counters. Faint leather/suede/rubber, a close-by bakery (like Cinnabon or Auntie Anne's - think "sweet dough) + a mix of the then current popular perfumes. I really think this is so popular now with women in there 20s (and maybe 30s) bc of the nostalgic thought of the grown up/sexy mall/women and that time in their (our) younger lives when they (we) were so wide-eyed.

I’m glad I took the plunge on this. I have been screwed over recently listening to reviews and buying blindly, but I am so happy I bought this. When I first sprayed this on it did smell like B540. But that quickly dissipates and goes into its own scent but it still is very close to B540. The creator of this did an excellent job. If you can’t afford B540 this is a very good substitute. This is a skin scent and it doesn’t last long but it’s very comforting and well worth purchasing

Moderate longevity (3-4h), I associate it with a summer raspberry sweet mousse. The ambroxan molecule is quite present as well. I don't know BR but got an idea about it when testing this one. Swapped my bottle, I found it fit for a young woman as it inspires playfulness, energy and positivity.

Wow! This is by far the closest I’ve smelled to BR540 The opening is exact. I got a sample as a nice extra in a package and before I even checked the label I immediately thought it was baccarat rouge I’ll try both on my wrists but I’m pretty amazed already!

Love at first spray. It truly is quite similar to Arianna Grande's Cloud, minus the coconut. I'm pretty sure Cloud probably has better longevity. I just sprayed Rosewood Amor so it's too soon to tell, and I'd say it goes on lighter than Cloud at first spray as well. I really need to get my nose on BR540, so I can do a true comparison. Knowing myself though, if they are somewhat close I can't see myself shelling out for BR540. I only get a slight hint of that medicinal smell some have mentioned. I like this so much that I'm now temped to try the original Rosewood even though woody scents are really hit or miss with me. If you like Cloud, but not the coconut (which I don't even notice in Cloud), try this. It's LOVELY. Update: After a couple wearings I have to admit that I like AG's Cloud better. They are both really nice, but Cloud has better sillage and longevity. Cloud is also a tad sweeter and fluffier smelling.

All I get is dry ambroxan smell. Nothing sweet, no raspberry, maybe some moss. A little salty. Medicinal, surgery, gauze/dental office feel. Very strong. Radiates a lot. People asked and complemented on it. They weren’t even standing close to me and had masks on. Stayed on clothes and skin for a long time. Very close to BR540. Maybe not as deep. Not sweet like Burberry Her or A Grande Cloud. Still undecided if I want to keep it. It is rather a strange smell for a perfume. I might get rid of it as it doesn’t bring me much joy and so far the only association I have is with this is medical procedures.

I read that this was the best dupe for Baccarat, I have never sampled Baccarat but I do have AG’s “Cloud” and it’s very similar except Rosewood amor lacks the coconut✨

Revolting! If this is what Baccarat Rouge 540 smells like then I guess I will save my money.

You guys, this scent is so good. only issue is longevity is weak ( better on clothes). It is Unisex in my opinion. It has a Middle Eastern vibe, not cloying or overwhelming at all. Try it, won't regret it, especially for the price! Edit: yes it reminds me of Baccarat..especially the medicinal/dental office scent which ( not all noses pick it up though, mine does sadly)- also I became anosmic to it ;(!

One of the best BR540 dupes out there... Work the buy for $16.99 at Ross. I have BR540, and this dupe as well...
