Velvet Pomegranate

I found this for $20 at Burlington and it's absolutely beautiful. Bright and fresh opening that carries through to the dry down, I don't have many perfumes that pull that off. I don't really pay mind to a "young" or "adult" scent, if I like it, I like it - but at the same time, I can see this as a youthful scent for an older person. I also recently bought Tuberose Overdose and the similar scents show a couple votes for Overdose, but I smell this as distinct. Overdose is, at it says, very tuberose bubblegum while Velvet Pomegranate is a sparkling fruity floral. It smells very fruity champagne-esque to me. A mature candy sweet fragrance. I'm in love, I can definitely see myself burning through this bottle! 😍

This fragrance mixed with my skin chemistry gave me a pleasant surprise. It initially smelled like the freshness of the pomegranate combined with scents that are reminiscent of a zen garden, with light scented florals. That's what I pictured in my head the moment it hit my nose; it was nostalgic. Then I was subsequently hit with this scent that reminded me of expensive incense, the kind you would find at various temples. Then, the dry down brought in a lovely fruity scent that lingered that eventually broke down into a sweeter scent that was reminiscent of marshmellows. I really enjoyed the journey this fragrance took me on.

Wow. Wow. Wow. So good. Like. What in the world. This is SO ridiculous how good this is!!!! First blast a sweet sweet treat of rhubarb and pomegranate. Mixed with a beautiful sexy mature oud and spicy bite. This smells like a $500 fragrance. Bottle is gorgeous. Box. Everything. If you’ve dabbled in the Banana Republic lines before the same packaging is here just. Vibrancy. The collezione riservata collection is one to covet. Velvet Pom just dances along my skin and constantly changes. From warm sweet fruity to oud spicy masculinity. Absolutely a beautiful juxtaposition of fragrance. 10/10 !!!

Bought this at the same time as Tuberose Overdose. Tried TO first, and wasn't impressed - very little projection and sillage non existent. Left it to develop, and still not satisfied with it. I then tried Velvet Pomegranate, and was again disappointed, but left this to macerate, and my word it was worth it. A tart pomegranate and rhubarb scent, somewhat reminiscent of So Scandal, but less reliant on tuberose. So glad I got this, as I love the fruitiness of it. I also like bottle and packaging it comes in.

Beautiful fragrance. I suggest that you let this one sit for a bit if you are uncertain about the initial spray. The opening is bright with rhubarb, bergamot, and pomergrante. Then, the sweetness of the pear, vanilla, and tuberose shine through with just hints of jasmine and orange blossom. The more I let this sit, the more I love it. On me, it's a very feminine fragrance.

Wonderful fragrance and long lasting. At first spray I smelled ‘Paradox’ by Prada. Within a few minutes it smelled like I had layered Si Fiori over it, which is delightful because Si Fiori is discontinued (SO SAD). Paradox is on my list of wants but once my beloved si fiori runs out, I’ll get this. Sweet, welcoming, juicy and delicious. I love this one.

Picture a big fluffy pink marshmallow dusted with sparkling sugar and filled to bursting with sweet red sticky pomegranate and raspberry jam. That’s what this. A beautiful ultra sweet sticky confection. It has more oomph in sillagr than most BR perfumes I’ve tried and lasts a decent time. I’m in love with this scent.

Beautiful fruity orange blossom. Really reminded me of Si Fiori upon first application but it’s now morphing into its own scent profile. This has progression whereas Si Fiori stays the same to my nose. Amazingly good fragrance for the price.

I like Velvet Pomegranate, but not a love. It is very reminiscent of My Way and Paradoxe. I didn’t care for either, but I did sample them in the spring and summer so that may have something to do with the dislike. Plus, I felt they were very overpriced and quite tuberose heavy. So Velvet Pomegranate gives you the same vibe as those other high end perfumes for $12.99 at Burlington for a 1 oz bottle. This is a very rich, sweet perfume so I agree with others, use sparingly preferably in colder months or in the evening. I could see this making some sick. I will not reach for this often as I’m not a big white floral fan, but occasionally, I will indulge. I think I’d like Velvet more if I actually could smell more fruit, especially pomegranate and it was a lighter version. This is quite heavy, gives rich bitch vibes! Edit: My 23 year old loves this! I may buy her a bottle some day if I can find it and the bottle is really cute especially if you like red or have red decor!

In the same vein as paradox, but darker. The fruits are dark and juicy. This would be a great night time fragrance. If you like dark berry scents from bbw or Victoria's secret you'll like this one. It'll pair with a lot of mists .

Goes on very distinctly feminine but imo it's unisex enough after a few minutes of drying down. Sweet, candied white floral where some of that candy-like punch dies down after 5 or 10 minutes.

I expected a sweet fruit bomb, but it’s much smoother than that. The pomegranate adds a gentle tartness while the woods and amber keep it soft and elegant.

Really lovely fruity overdose of pomegranate. yet again a banger.

Fresh and floral tuberous open. In the dry down it develops into a sweet floral Vanillic scent. I did not get any fruitiness. This fragrance strongly reminds me of two fragrances: Armani My Way in the beginning and then a gradual transition to YSL Black Opium in the finish. It is not as strong as either of those, but certainly costs less than both. This is marketed as unisex, but who are they kidding? This is a contemporary female freshie through and through. If you are a fan of tuberous heavy ladies perfumes, you'll probably like this one, therwise this is a pretty redundant fragrance. I've probably smelled more perfumes like this than I can count. I was so hoping for a tart and fruit forward fragrance with a name like "Velvet Pomegranate" but alas, it's another generic tuberous perfume.

I’m not rly a big fan of it, it doesn’t rly sit too long on the skin, and it’s not rly a unisex fragrance either it’s definitely sitting on the feminine side, the musky sweetness on the dry down is nice but I’m not a fan of freshness when sprayed on it’s like a mix candied pears and harsh laundry detergent. But if you do kinda like those sweet floral fragrances it’s a great price, it’s just not for me

To me, this was a missed opportunity. It has potential, but I find the top notes too saccharine (sweet), almost like candy, that they clash with the patchouli and don't make for a well blended scent. I think this scent is a bit sharp and loud, maybe more for an extrovert. Also, this is not unisex. I think BR needs to start making that distinction.

smells the way strawberry apricot sugar free redbull tastes but then on my skin it shifts to a very gross medicinal smell. Disappointing

This has a pretty prominent orange blossom note in it. I’m not the biggest fan of orange blossom so I’ll have to keep testing this. The tuberose mixed with it makes it read very candy-like. Reminds me of a jolly rancher. This would definitely be a safe blind buy for anyone who likes sweet candy-like fragrances. It has a hint of JPG Scandal in it- not sure what that’s coming from but it’s definitely there.

Blind buy I could not resist. In need of a joyfull summer evening fragrance a bit out of my comfort zone. It opens very (red) fruity and sweet but it doesnt get cloying. Tuberose and patchouli combo is nicely done and suited for summer evenings. It has a soft smooth drydown where I pick up rhubarb, musk and a soft vanilla. It makes me happy! The packaging and bottle are awesome ❤️

If you are feeling unwell, this perfume may give you a headache. The scent is a bit strong.(I'm feeling that way today because I'm actually not feeling well) I think it would be good to use it as a room spray. I feel that paradox and Velvet Pomegranate are completely different.
