Steamy autumn woods with the mineral scent that comes with damp asphalt slick with oily leaves. Great longevity and I get a lot of compliments on this! Reminds me of getting firewood from the damp woodshed at my aunt's cabin in the northern rainforests of British Columbia. Absolutely amazing. The cedar and palo santo are really true to form. I don't get much sweetness or anything floral but it's cozy and bright and organic all the same. I pick up on some very green notes in this, which push the woodiness forward into a sort of electric/lightening zone. Almost like a fougere because I do get fern leave and fig on top with a touch of soapiness which really balances the deeper musty woodshed note. Amazing scent from a small Canadian perfumer!

On a card this opens with a heavy woody almost eucalyptus smell. Followed by a borderline fennel / black liquorice overtop. It dries down to a realistic delicious almost dirty palo santo that i have been desperately looking for. On skin I got that same fennel / liquorice scent right off the bat and lingers quite a bit. give it about 30 mins and you have yourself a beautiful Palo Santo fragrance. Its a bit bitter, its woody. It has that trademark sting that palo santo has. Its neither smoky, nor creamy. Its rooted and grounded and a bit dirty, which is how i feel wearing this.

I’ve really been enjoying this one. Starts with a strong dirt note—earthy, mineral, cold— that settles after a few minutes once the palo santo enters and brings some woodiness and warmth. The dry down is musky, sweet, and spicy; I can’t really detect the cold dirt note at this stage, just delicious musky warmth. I can see this being an easy all season reach, but with an interesting earthy edge to it. Looking forward to a larger bottle and exploring further.

An etheric moody scent of foggy woods. Pine and cypress up front. The palo santo shatters any delicacy with it's puncturing force, smouldering and dizzying, a narcotic dose of fragrant wood. Beneath is a trail of wet earth, mossy and broken by meandering footsteps. Upon drying the scented woods, sappy needles, drenched earth, and dense fog settle into a pleasant and calming dreamscape with a touch of musk. I absolutely adore it.

This is quickly becoming my signature scent. Pure palo santo at first whiff, and stays that way on my skin for a long time. Bright, herbal, and earthy. It eventually dries down to soft wood and dirt. It blends well with my body lotion, which is burt's bees hemp lotion. The strong verbena and basil complement the palo santo and dirt nicely. It reminds me of summer days in the garden with my grandmother.

Ohhh, this one surprised me with how much I liked it. The woodsy (cedar/piney/notsure) tone that's lovely. Is that the palo santo? I'm not actually sure what that smells like. It feels a bit masculine, and I'm going to suggest my spouse try it as well, cause I think it would smell nice on him. Really like this one. Will likely buy at least a travel size, and it's on my shortlist for a full bottle.

So comforting. Smells like an antique shop. Once it settles, it smells so natural. There's a slight citrus in there, and mixed with the heavy woodiness it slaps you in the face soo good.

this is my palo santo white whale!! so pure and true and has a touch of wet dirt that makes it all the more mysterious. i’d join this cult in a heartbeat...

Love this fragrance, I've been wearing it almost every day. I wish the dirt was stronger but that just gives me an excuse to do some layering, right?

This is a very warm, woody perfume, true to the notes described. It has a strong cinnamon and cedar essence, and also a light sweetness, maybe orange-y. I don't pick up on a strong dirt note, but it is there more once it dries down. It smells very sedating, but not foresty or green, it conjures up warm, shadowy imagery for me. The smell of spices in this perfume reminds me a lot of Christmas holiday smells, so keep in mind if you have a strong association between Christmas and the typical Christmas spice smells, that this perfume may smell Christmas-y to you

this is giving slightly more masculine to me, it’s funny when i thought of it as a feminine scent i was getting “a smoker lighting candles to try and mask the smell of their cigarettes” not a bad smell actually, but a bit grungy and dirty, but the second i imagined it as a masculine scent it became very clean woodsy aftershave. neither of these are bad and also take gendering fragrances with a grain of salt, anyone can wear it and overall i find it a very pleasant smell, think im going to give to my boyfriend to smell on him though :)

Can't make up my mind about this one! At first spray, it's not for me- there is something powdery in the petrichor/dirt notes I don't love, and the whole thing comes on strong and sweeter than I had hoped. HOWEVER- the dry down is very palo santo and I kept huffing my wrists a few hours later. Smells like a brand new tarot deck. Great scent for the purveyor of an occult bookstore. I could see this growing on me to the point that I pick up a bottle, but time will tell. LOVE Barre's branding and packaging btw.

the initial spray is extremely overpowering and i at first regretted doing three spritzes. the dry down is so beautiful though and the palo santo really comes through. it smells exactly like a burning palo santo stick. definitely understand the name now, it smells like a long-haired california spiritualist luring you in to his sex cult

bright grunge green. a bit of sharpie

I tried this on, maybe 2-3 sprays, and very soon after had an allergic reaction. My face got puffy and my eyes were red. This has never happened to me before with perfumes. If you are sensitive to perfumes I would pass. The scent is nice, but it is a woody fragrance you can find in other skin safe formulas.

First spray is instant herbal and ether notes. It’s fresh and spicy at first, then dries down to a warm woody scent with cinnamon and the palo santo notes. It's the most realistic palo santo perfume i've smelled! I could see a tarot reader and chunky jewelry enjoyer wearing this. Hippie is the wrong word for it, but I know a lot of people who’ve either grown up on or at some point lived on a commune (cults, I guess haha) and I swear they smell exactly like this, whether it’s the scents they’re drawn to as adults or just something about them. This also smells like every tree planter I’ve ever met regardless of their gender so maybe there’s something to tree planting and communes? Not sure. Either way! Lovely scent, I can see the Christmas take as well with the warm spiciness. If you’re someone who likes nature, chopping their wood by hand and has the occasional thought of living off the grid with an intentional community, give this a try

I wanted to like this one so bad. The first sprays are so thick and heavy and I really get the wood and the dirt. It's super dark and creepy but in a fun cologne-y kinda way! But then it morphs and smells so off, I really think the ether note tips this into unwearable for me. It's cold and medicinal and yeah, I definitely see the carmex comparison because it even smells kind of waxy? It's so weird but I really think this must be a skin chemistry thing for me because on paper it smells way better lol.

On the initial spray it smells crazy grassy and overpowering. The dry down is more sublte, aromatic spicy piney. Like a men's aftershave. Definitely more masculine.
