سأكون لك كما تريدني .. أو ستراني كما تحب أن أكون هذا باختصار هو مفتاح وكلمة السر لهذا العطر فبداية العطر صادمة للغاية، والصدمة ليست لأنه قوي جدا وهذا حقيقي فالدار الهولندية المصدرة للعطر اسمها "Baruti" أي البارود ولكن لأنه ستلاحقك العديد والعديد من التخمينات لافتتاحية العطر وتصنيفه فاكهي - عشبي – بخوري – خشبي – زهري – فوجيري أنا أفضلها فاكهية عشبية فالبداية يتحكم بها الثنائي: أوراق الكشمش الأسود الكاسيس أو الكاسي "Cassis" والتي تجفف ويضاف إليها الكركديه لصنع شراب الشاي في روسيا وللدخول في صناعة بعض المشروبات الكحولية واضافة النكهات الحارة لبعض الأطعمة والمخللات وفاكهة البرقوق المجففة الحلوة الحارة اللاذعة في نفس الوقت هذا الثنائي أعطاني نفس الانطباع لافتتاحية عطر الشاي الروسي وأراهما قريبين من بعضهما البعض بشكل كبير، فقط عطر الشاي الروسي أكثر جفافا رائحة الجلود الموجودة في المصنوعات الجلدية الفخمة ستداعبك بين فترة وأخرى ولولا وجود القليل من اللافندر والورد البلغاري لكان العطر خانقا خاصة مع وجود نوتة بخورية راتينجية ثقيلة ولكنها تختلف تماما عن النوتة البخورية الشرقية فالعطر لا يحمل أية ملامح شرقية على الاطلاق والسر في وجود النوتة البخورية الحارة الغير شرقية هو راتينج المستكه أو اللبان الروماني والتي يمكن أن تستخدم في التبخير عند حرقها أو لإعطاء نكهة مميزة وحارة بعض الشيء للعديد من الأطعمة والحلوى والأيس كريم فهي بشكل عام ربما تذكرك بأجواء عطر جوبليشن من أمواج بقيت نقطة الاتزان الأخيرة بالعطر وهي تكمن في هذا الثنائي الذي يندر أن يجمعهما عطر واحد زهرة السوسن الرائعة التي تعطي شعورا بالبرودة والانتعاش مع حبات البن المحمصة الداكنة الفاخرة والتي تعطي شعورا بالانتشاء واتزان المزاج العطر يحمل فلسفة مكانية لمدينة برلين في الشتاء حينما تفوح من المقاهي المنتشرة في الشوارع روائح الشاي والقهوة والحلوى المرتكزة على المكسرات والفاكهة المجففة وربما تزدان الطاولات بأزهار السوسن واللافندر المنعشين وكثيرا ما تثير برودة الشتاء الشهية لتناول الأيس كريم بنكهاته العديدة ومنها نكهة المستكة الرائعة. وتختلط هذه الروائح الكثيرة والمختلفة بعبق قوي ينبعث مع حركة السترات والشنط النسائية الجلدية الفاخرة ملحوظة: ليس بالعطر اي وجود لرائحة العود كما هو مكتوب التفرد ونقاء العطر : 10/10 الجمال: أمر نسبي ولابد من التجربة الثبات والفوحان: 10/10 جباران حدث ولا حرج

Beautiful scent for cold times: perfect for evenings or outside activities as 2 sparys are enough for a day. It has a (maybe the classic like Dior Fahrenheit) leathery scent, but it is not dominant as balsamic accords are in perfect harmony with the leather. It feels very dirty and serious, but also totally mindful and clean in the beginning. As time goes on, the fruits gain their place in the composition. This is the part when you walk in the winter market in your leather jacket, stop at a hut and buy a hot wine. The sweet steam flies into your nose: plums with a bit of vanilla, a bit of cinnamon, and orange peel. And the journey is not over yet, after drinking the wine on the cold windy streets, you go home to sit in your comfortable couch and while looking outside and watching the snowfall, you smell the fresh bouquet on your table. What a nice ending with a hint of iris and soft rose! This one is for the brave ones, not an easy scent in spite of the light ingredients. You have to spend some time with it to understand and like it. I recommend sampling before buying!

I find this perfume a very interesting one and i like It more than perverso, the one that i thought would be my favourite of the collection according to the notes. But that one has a very weird dry down while this one is for me nice all the time. I find It a very fruity perfume. The note that i get the most os a fruit, maybe the plum, over a very resinous background (very noticeable the sweetness of myhrr and smokiness if incense). I can get also some Woody but, i hadnt seen the notes here i think i would beber think It has oud, because although It has the tipIcal medicinal vibe of ouds i am not able tobrecognize It, but i have yo day that my José is not very good :). The performance is good, very good longevity with moderate projection and the smell is subtle and easy yo wear, nice forma daily use, better with fresh weather, although It could be a nice opción for a summer night. Scent: 8.5 Longevity: 9 Sillage: 7.5 Quality/price: 5 Originality: 8 Versatility: 8 Global: 8.5

Opens aromatic green with hints of fruit The mastique is giving it unique almost earthy tones combined with coffee It's overall not very pleasant to me personally - too much greenness, too much earthy, bitter coffee along with aromatics At around 1 hour into the dry down it develops slightly bitter body odour like qualities and weirdly enough i'm enjoying smelling it more now The cassis leaf also gets very prominent then and the entire composition turn very fruity green and slightly bitter It's so good you just have to get thorough the 1st hour of it smelling quite awful haha

My favourite cold fragrance. Difficult to decipher notes for me as I find it completely evocative of a cold grey dank city with a pulsing underbelly of life and heat underneath. It’s a very dense heavy hitter, good for a long day into night wear. I’ve debated with myself if it veers into the medicinal BPAL heavy/heady oil type fragrances and it doesn’t quite. It reminds me of a Gorilla Perfume called The Bug. I just think anyone considering this should sample. I adore it, winter, cold, urban, wear black and greys. Now at Liberty in UK in round bottle.

This is everything a cold-weather perfume should be - and more. There are plums and juicy cassis (sweet like the stuff in Kir Royale, no sour cat-pee notes here), there are warm notes of coffee and myrrh...but then there are also cold notes, a shoe-polish whiff from the mastic and something slightly astringent or herbal, probably from the lavender. So, the perfume is perfectly balanced between warm and cold, like coming into a warm cafe from the cold street. Genius, and very wearable.

This is utterly uniquely amazing. It goes on OUD. I am talking helfire smoke oud. That's all you get and a balsamic note. Then it starts to dry down and a sweet, rich, ripe fruit rises. I thought it was apricot. Like a syrupy boozy apricot but see it is plum in the notes. In the dry down there is a little whisp of woodfire smoke/incense and a dark rich fruit. I hate fruit scents. I love this.

Oh CASSIS! I absolutely love it! The black currant in here is divine and dominating. The rest of the notes add depth and support. Too bad so many people cannot differentiate cassis and cat pee... So sad to wear the most lovely note in perfumery and hear from some that you smell like cat pee...

Very pleasant Winter scent. Get cozy rose, coffee, conifer herbage, a touch of smokiness, lavender and Oud. Very comfy on a cold, snowy night. Some warm sweetness. Magic here! Unisex I feel. Just so cozy and comfortable. A perfect fragrance to melt those urban doldrums in the dead of Winter.

Très similaire à baraonda nasomatto avec meilleure performance je suppose que gualtieri à modifier un tout petit peu la formulation puisque ce dernier est sortie une année avant baraonda Chapeau pour cette maison qui arrive à créer des parfums uniques à chaque sortie

This is one of the best in the line. It still has the burnt plastic DNA, but it's well blended with the warm notes, and there's a very compelling crotch-skank element. I thought I hated this brand but I do like this.... I might even want a bottle.

Not for the faint of heart... This is not easy to wear, but if you are able to pull this off, you will be on the path of becoming a..., let's say, a "Perfume Whisperer". Pin-point notes in here is very complicated. It is dense, smoky, medicinal and herbaceous. I do not get the coffee note per-se, but it has the darkness of an espresso and some resinous sweetness. Nothing really to be compared with, not that I am aware of, so you better try it by yourself, and get your own conclusions. What is clear to me is that this juice is not for Summer. Uniqueness: high Scent: 6.5/10 Performance: Big (one that can stick in your brain) Would I buy it: No (I am not there yet...)

I actually really enjoy this one. The cassis leads the way and I like it, especially with the myrhh and olibanum giving it a spice/smoke accord. But, the fruit and flower notes actually serve to give this a sense of brightness turning more powdery in the drydown. Sillage is large for the first couple hours. I sprayed on my arm and I was leaving a good trail everywhere I moved it. Overall, this is my second favorite from Baruti so far, falling a little behind Chai.

A great rich sweet scent that is truly like walking through Berlin's (or Budapest's!) Winter markets. Mulled wine, spicy teas, leather bags, scented soaps, coffe stands and freshly baked sweets. So cozy I love this in the evening and probably a great cold time scent. Lasts well too. Opening compex and sophisticated mix of sweet and flowery notes. Fades into very green almost nettle-like vibe with some oud backbone. Similar to "You or someone like You" but without mint, less sweet, deeper. I think it's perfect day scent for any season when it's not hot. Summer morning in EU fits very well. Gives this fresh but warm feeling that is so enjoyable.

Stale coffee that turns into a light plum and powdery amber. Ok. Wearable. Not my favorite of the discovery set. But, also not the worst. I'm indifferent to this. I have worn it a few times and it seems as if it is missing something. Like it has an identity crisis. I don't know. Just get the discovery set and try them all. I liked Chai and Indigo the most.

This is a mesmerizing scent; I kept being pulled back to it after I sprayed it on. Coffee, fruit, leather, and a hint of crisp winter air are transporting. This isn't a smooth, tame leather; it's thick and rough with an edge of bitterness. I am not sure if it's something I would wear often, but I will definitely be trying it again to make sure.

EN. Absolutely wild perfume, long lasting and deep. You would fall in love immediately of its rebel soul or hate it forever because it would show you your fears. IT. I’m playing the cozy game Coffee Talk, and this instantly brought to mind one of its recipes: Black Magic; espresso, mint, and honey. Now imagine adding a ribbon of cannabis smoke on top. It’s not officially listed, but it’s there in the atmosphere; it might even be a misread of mastic or smoky lavender giving that resinous, slightly smoky-hazy effect. Underneath, there’s a strong impression of well-aged oak barrels; dark, seasoned wood with a boozy patina; paired with a more rugged, “raw oud” idea. Not a polished oud, but the rougher, grainier fantasy of oud: earthy, woody, slightly animalic-leaning in texture. The overall mood is undeniably dark, yet still cozy-warm. Pure dark academia to me: like opening the door of a library after stepping in from winter cold. Smoking is apparently allowed here; so you’re sipping rum-laced spicy coffee, letting smoke curl through the air, and reading by the heat of the fireplaces. The room is dim, and the goal isn’t rigorous research; it’s sinking into shadowy, page-turning stories and borrowing the comfort of other people’s presence; so you don’t feel afraid. That said, the sweet facet here; combined with that “coffee” note (which almost never feels truly convincing) and the minty and herbal lift; throws me off a bit. Berlin im Winter opens chilly & white, shading into silvery frankincense. Then, a few minutes in, I also get a band-aid-y or bug-spray sharpness, around a woody oudh core and touched by the merest hint of fruit brandy. This is an elegant evening fragrance, a noir-ish femme fatale (but definitely modern, not retro). Under the fruity/medicinal/woody chord there's something richer and more ambered, with a touch of myrrh spice, that saves Berlin im Winter from being too tinny. Do I like it? I'm not sure. It's a little thin overall for a scent intended to be on the rich-and-deep side. Something like Bond No. 9 Chinatown hits a similar dark fruity-woody vibe with more heft. But Berlin im Winter is definitely a creative angle on the genre. It's a very *cold* scent; darkly glowing, yes, but also sharp-edged and chilly, which I appreciate. Maybe very slightly feminine-of-center if I read it as a sort of modernized fruity chypre, but could also be read as a more masculine dark Oriental in the Lutens-inspired boozy-fruit zone.

The opening whiff is a strong earthy spice, not Arabic style, but more Eastern European muted to brown earth, very hard to describe. Urinary undertones not unlike civet are present and noticeable throughout, added to this is a Bellini mix (Prosseco and peach puree) with a sprig of mint. I might find dry herbal notes of immortelle in the background. Black-brown-yellow scent with blossomed green-orange veins - cassis yes mainly as acidity, leather very carefully and obscured with myrrh or incensey notes but plum not present in my case. If the slight scratchiness is caused by iris or amber is hard to tell but they are not very well pronounced. Original, but for me not at the level of 130 Eur for 50ml. Im unable to connect this scent to winter markets, more of a damp overgrown neglected part of garden in early spring with cat pee (not entirely bad but very gaudy presence). Test before buy.

Ok, first of all I have to state that I love Baruti fragrances, especially Dama Koupa. Everybody raves about Berlin in winter, its sweetness, its uniqueness etc.. First time I sprayed it, I got all of those plus a cat pee bonus in the background. I couldn't dissociate that note from the whole potion. It was there, lingering, like an odd dirty secret ingredient. Sometimes eucalyptus or certain types of mint can smell a little bit cat pee-like, so it must be some hidden aromatic note that gave me that olfactory sensation I guess...

Background: I used to work in a coffee shop where the manager would come up with all sorts of quirky and exotic drinks. Mushroom chai, that sort of thing. Most of them were surprisingly good. This perfume is like if he missed the mark one cold February with a dill pickle latte, complete with house-made cucumber syrup. A guy from Berlin comes in to order one with oat milk. Coincidentally, this is the day we’re training a new barista, who burns the oat milk. The new barista proudly grabs the dried dill for a garnish, but the lid falls off the shaker and the entire contents fall into the burned oat milk and cucumber syrup abomination. The saving grace is the espresso. This is artisan espresso, and if you can put up with the weird dill, syrup, and burned oat milk smell, the espresso could be worth it. Despite everything I dislike about this fragrance, I have to admit the coffee note is well-crafted and addictive. I’m looking forward to trying more of Baruti’s scents in the future even though this one wasn’t for me.

Caustic opening. To my untrained nose, the initial blast conjured the smell of dill & black olives?? The fruit/amber drydown is calming enough, but the opening haunts me throughout weartime. I don't know why I ordered this sample in the first place, since it is not my style at all.

Legitimately smells like cat pee. I had a good shower and scrub, and unfortunately it had gotten on my freshly washed sweater, which then smelled like cat pee. I had to wash the sweater again to get it off. Cat pee, cat pee, cat pee. If you liked old Jicky, you'll LOVE this piss!

Erm, I don't know where it went wrong and where are all those delicious notes, but to me it smells like dill + a bit of oud and leather. Surprising combo, but I don't smell anything wintery or berlin about it.

Unfortunately for me it is immediate body odor. I had to scrub this off.

Baruti is a house that I initially discovered while perusing through perfumes on IndieScents. Considering the quality of the line, I was surprised to find precious few reviews of it posted on major forums, which only piqued my curiosity more. I also had some difficulty finding much of anything about the company, aside from the fact that it seems to be a re-launch of a company called Magnetic Scents (almost completely unknown to me), which came out with four perfumes in 2012, all of which were also created by Spyros Drosopoulos, the owner of Baruti. That’s about all I know, unfortunately. The current incarnation of his line is available on IndieScents and Bloom Perfumery out of London. Berlin im Winter contains lavender from Greece, rose from Greece, mastic oil from the isle of Chios, iris, cassis, plum, myrrh, frankincense from Oman, Irish coffee, NOOUD (another of the fragrances in Spyros’ line), amber, leather, and whisky. Berlin im Winter is possibly the most unique fragrance I’ve smelled in the last year - really. This is a cozy, warm, woody fragrance that has a lot in common with many fougeres: the lavender is certainly there, and perhaps not oakmoss but something faintly green is in the heart and base. What really surprised me were the few notes that come together to form the accord of what I detect to be a warm peach note. It must be the way the cassis mixes with another note, but something highly resembling a peace really sings at the heart of the fragrance. I don’t intend to communicate “gourmand” in any sense, either: it’s not overly, or even moderately sweet. Despite the apparent presence of Irish coffee and whisky, I don’t pick up on these at all. The performance on this is absolutely out of this world. If you’re one of those people who rolls their eyes when they read or hear a perfume described as a “beast,” you’re not alone – but this is very close. Oddly enough, I usually get only four to six hours with extremely concentrated perfumes, about the same as I do with many EDTs. However, this extrait lasts easily ten hours on my skin, which is practically unheard of. For me, ten hours is about the ideal performance I could ever ask for: I don’t want it to perform for longer (you might change venues that day, or decide to change clothes). As far as performance goes, it’s pretty much the perfect scent: more-than-satisfying longevity with a sillage of perhaps a foot or two. Spyros is certainly a perfumer to keep your eyes on. I’ve had the pleasure of trying several of the other fragrances in the line, and what he can do with accords really boggles the imagination. NOOUD, another one of his creations, contains – as the name implies – absolutely no oud, yet manages to smell like a carbon copy of it. I would dare anyone in a double-blind sniff test that it didn’t contain oud. And Chai is a hyperrealistic steaming chai tea, redolent of clove, cardamom, ginger, and vanilla. I’ve already tried it – and that’s a gourmand I can get excited about.

I have to preface this review by making it known that I have a lot of respect for Spyros Drosopoulos as a creative and as a perfumer. I've had the pleasure to test out Berlin im Winter, Perverso, Dama Koupa, Chai, Voyance, Oh my Deer, and NOOUD (all extraits). I need more time with Dama Koupa and Perverso because they're both masterpieces that require more familiarization to write a review, but I think I've gotten down the basics about Berlin. Berlin Im Winter, put very simply, is a very high-quality, herbaceous green scent. It's worth noting that four hours into the wear my girlfriend said I smell like a green field. In the opening, there's a bit going on with the notes including the plum, cassis, myrrh, woody, and some boozy element. I have to be honest I'm really struggling to point out the other notes, perhaps it's because I've never come across them in perfumery or perhaps it's because I haven't had enough time with it as well. However, one thing is for certain, the Cassis is extremely noticeable throughout the entire longevity of the scent. As it begins to dry down the Cassis takes over with a mild, very well-blended plum accord in the background. It's definitely not two-dimensional, but again I'm having trouble with the other notes. In terms of longevity and performance, I can't say it's anywhere near as crazy as Perverso and Dama Koupa, but it's not bad at all. Within the first 4-6 hours it was noticeable within an arm's length or a bit less, and after that, it became a bit more than a skin scent until it slowly faded away completely at about the 10 hour mark. I realize that skin chemistry probably plays a large role in this considering how many people are putting down eternal and enormous in the longevity and sillage scores. If you're reading this review and you're in the perfumery hobby, immediately go purchase a sampler pack on Baruti's website. Spyros Drosopoulos's creations are stunning, both in creativity and sheer quality. There's nothing more that really needs to be said.

I received a sample of this from a fellow perfume lover last summer but I can definitely say that I'm glad I waited until winter to wear it more. A great alternative for a bunch of burnt vanilla-tobacco-amber scents that are so popular around Christmas time and winter in general. Berlin in Winter opens with a very strong medicinal, almost metallic note, similar to the scent you get when you smash fresh lavender or immortelle leves between your fingers. I can see why this can be a bit revolting for some. The opening stays strong for a good half an hour and then the metallic note disappears leaving a much softer blackcurrant leaf note in the background. In the drydown I get the scent of jammy biscuits, lightly spiced with ginger (?) and full of dark and thick fruit jam, and a very pleasant resinous base. Lasting power is very good - stays on for around 12 hours on me (and that is just a couple of sprays from a small atomiser). Not sure I will ever go for a full bottle, as this isn't your everyday scent. But will probably get myself another decant for next winter.

I love this perfume. It was one of my first forays into niche perfumery. It's so evocative of winter in a library to me but with a good amount of herbaceousness, like there are several Christmas trees in the room. It's very long lasting. To me it also has a bit of alcohol and books. It's oddly both an indoor and outdoor scent. The name is perfect. I think it's a work of art. (I am a huge cassis fan) I would never recommend blind buying something like Berlin in Winter. You have to sample it first. It's a work of art but the price is insane to me. Perfectly unisex. 5/5 despite price. It's really really good if you are into evocative scents.

First of all, I would suggest that there is a fraction of NoOud in this perfume. It is the same High Quality Synthetic Sandalwood plushness that exists in Vreeland Absolutely Vital. The opening is very Pregoni-esque. The body of the scent differs in that it is more voluptuous, pastel and romantic than O'Driu. All Staccato is reserved for the opening. Ultimately this becomes a waltz between the High points of Cassis, Rose and Quality Synthetic Wood. Masterpiece? Oh, yes, this has all of the texture, colour and scent, of Art, Creativity and Precision. Beautifully orchestrated. Think Berlin Philharmonic billowing clouds of exquisiteness.

Firstly, I was surprised by how small the bottle is! I know it's only 30ml but the bottle itself is tiny! No biggie but took me aback a little. The perfume itself though is incredible. Not many perfumes make me stop in my tracks, this one definitely did though. Need to wear it a bit more as first impression was the logevity wasn't as great as I expected but that may change as I wear it more. Definitely recommend giving this a sniff, it was a blind buy for me based on reviews and a owner of a perfume shop telling me it was his favourite perfume. Glad I bought it, really beautiful.

I get mint, lots of mint. Like winter sun. And "dust" smell, like low dark-grey winter clouds in the big city. Sweetish dusty smell. And those 2 notes compete - mint wins.. and then dust wins.. and mint again.. like sun shines suddenly.. and then greyness again.. and so on... So altogether quite a "Winter in Berlin" =) Interesting smell, and not bad, but I won't be buying the full version. I tend to think that above all perfume should smell nice)) yeah boing I know but I work in the office))

Medicinal. I like the cassis and mastic notes but the oud and whisky dominate and create a harsh potion. Faint florals appear in the heart but they are no match for the leather-clad oud-mastic-whisky-cassis powerhouse stalking the streets of wintery Berlin. This perfume might pulverise air-borne nasties and could be the perfect accessory for pandemic masks. Brutal in tone. Distillation: medicinal spritz pulverising nasty germs on bleak winter streets

So interesting. The opening is glamorous and almost a little retro, in the best way—mysterious and more than a little sultry, not overly feminine. It’s mostly the cassis and plum that come through on my skin. Over time...I t’s lovely and subtle, more of a skin scent. After maybe a half or an hour, it takes on a vegetal quality. Unusual and weirdly compelling. I like the name. I don’t see the connection to how it smells, at least on me.

It opens up with the piercing smell of greek mastique and cassis, interesting combo I would say.The lavender is there , giving it an aftershave vibe. After all these vibrant screaming notes, 15 minutes in, you're left with a calming powdery sweetness of iris, amber and rose, a totaly different direction, while a hint of lavender and leather are waving quietly in the background.

Another scent I had on my 'possibly maybe' list, and now, unfortunately, it is coming off it. The plum is TO DIE FOR, but coupled with the blackcurrant leaf, the accord struck is high-pitched, metallic and unfortunately too screechy for mine. The mastic is AMAZING, but, that screech in the forefront is too much for me.

very awesome gorgeous scent ... nose sypros is really a genius ... this is a very lovely oud. very unique with iris plum... worth a bottle. it also has a volatile note in it that amplifies the oud and iris .....

More challenging than I expected. Something in this reminds me of Ladamo by O’driu. Coffee and rich warmth and sweetness? Yes, but with a bizarre medicinal, herbal twist that you will either love or hate.

Blackcurrant jam, hint of birch tar smoke, dewy leaves, fruity black tea, plum and a soft yet coarsely textured spiciness. Pleasant, wearable yet interesting.

Deep in this fragrance, there is a dirty side, hidden somewhere, far away somewhere. In a positive way "urine". Hot juice.
