Perverso

As soon as it's sprayed, Perverso bursts onto the skin like a freshly baked caramel cake: warm, enveloping, and utterly mouthwatering. It's a gourmand opening that grabs your attention instantly, sweet yet already hinting at a toasted complexity beneath. Within minutes, its presence becomes impossible to ignore. At the bar, I received several compliments. Everyone who came near me wanted to know what fragrance I was wearing. Many detected a strong note of licorice, intense and unmistakable. The car I drove to work was completely saturated with its scent, transformed into a chamber of pure fragrance. A curious moment: I had lunch with a friend who apologized for not having changed after work, thinking the strong scent around him came from himself. In reality, it was Perverso that filled the space, and the scent was unmistakably coming from me. The sillage is among the most powerful I’ve ever encountered. However, around the fifth hour, it begins to soften. The perfume becomes less overwhelming while still noticeable. After about nine hours, it weakens further, reaching a more manageable and intimate stage. During the dry-down, Perverso shifts gears. Unexpected salty nuances begin to surface, subtle but present. It’s as if the grey amber, listed in the fragrance pyramid, starts to come through. A marine, slightly animalic undertone creates a fascinating sweet-salty contrast. It reminds me unmistakably of salted caramel: rich, addictive, and unusual. As the scent continues to evolve, woody notes reminiscent of hazelnut start to emerge. A warm, toasted sweetness with a delicate, nutty-woody character replaces the sugary top notes. The roasted facet gradually fades, leaving a smoother, more velvety base. With time, Perverso only gets better. In my opinion, it becomes increasingly pleasant, more refined, more intriguing, as if settling into a personal, unmistakable olfactory signature. However, after 12 to 13 hours, the scent on skin becomes very faint. On clothing, it lingers a bit longer, but its strength can be considered spent.

I am trying this wobderful perfume right night and i am just un LOVE with It. The opening is very very intense and sweet. Withount having seen the notes i thought un roast coffee mixed with cocoa and biscuits. It made me think un perfumes like chocolate greedy by montale but with a Big load of coffee and maybe something resinous like incense. But after a while It begins yo changes, becoming drier and smokier and at this point i CAME here, watched the notes and... Yes! It really fotos all... Hazelnuts are very noticeable, but not the sweet vibe of the dried fruits not the smoky smell of the riasted ones. The cocoa is still present but puré and dry cocoa and the resinous vibe of the styrax is every time more presente. The tobacco and the rum id very noticeable and the biscuits smell is didsapeared at all and now i can only feel a little sweet vibe in the background which can be the caramel, but again a burnt one, like the one which people put over the flan or the ice creams. The lo gevity and sillage is good but It not a very versatile perfume. I think only weareable ar night and better with fresh weather. Good for clubbing and night eventos. Very different yo other perfumes i have tried. Of course before ir later It Will have a place on my collection. Perverso is the fragrance from Baruti that was most interesting to me when I first smelled some of the line at Perfumology in Philadelphia, clearly a dark, sweet, spicy, semi-gourmand from the onset, and I’d be remiss to omit any of the interesting notes: rum, roasted nut, cocoa powder, caramel fudge, fig, tobacco leaf, styrax, musk, and ambergris. Most of all, I get the roasted nut, caramel fudge, tobacco leaf, and styrax, a sweet and spicy blend that leans slightly sweeter but clearly with a lot of non-sweet components, too. Perverso is in the vein of a Slumberhouse fragrance, with its dark juice, and scent characterized by a sort of sweet/spicy but not entirely gourmand mix. It’s not quite as sweet nor resinous as, say, Bruno Fazzolari Ummagumma, instead, rather, a mix of the gourmand elements crossed with tobacco and styrax. So bits of Slumberhouse Jeke and Ore, perhaps. It’s a dense extrait de parfum, with exceptional performance, and is priced at $140 for 30ml, sold at great boutiques like Perfumology and Tigerlily Perfumery, both of which offer spray samples. Overall, it’s great, even if it does not rank among the very best in this category like some of the Slumberhouse offerings, and I definitely recommend trying it out if you like those types of fragrances, as I surely do. 8 out of 10

For me, this is less of a fragrance to wear out and more of an experience to savor. I had to have it - not to smell pretty or make a statement, but to open the bottle and take in its richness, or dab a little on the back of my hand to evoke something deep and emotional. To me, Perverso is nearly perfect: a bold yet beautifully balanced blend of hazelnut, cocoa, musk, and smoky undertones. It reminds me unmistakably of salted caramel - rich, addictive, and completely unique. As it develops, the sweetness mellows into warm, woody hazelnut tones. There’s a subtle toasted quality that gives way to a soft, velvety base, never loud but always present. With time, it becomes more refined and intimate, almost like it settles into your skin as a quiet signature, distinctive without ever trying too hard. My husband and son both enjoy wearing it, and I love catching traces of it on them - it smells incredible.

I rcvd a sample of this fragrance with a purchase I made. What amazed me about the fragrance was how the scent stood out amongst all the other samples I had in my sample tray when passing by. A strong nutty scent, with a lil cacao note and a faint sweetness. I don't pick up the rum and tobacco note but I know it's there because this fragrance wouldn't be a powerhouse without it. I tried it out with my fiance and nothing negative was said and believe me, she is very opionated with fragrances she doesn't like. With that said, I'm very happy I picked up this fragrance, for two sprays is all you need and it will last. Perfect for winter nights, bars, hanging out with the fellas, cigar rooms etc. I'm definitely considering a backup bottle. I know this fragrance is not for everyone but for me, its perfect!

Ok, tried edp and extrait today.... pretty different i tell you... The extrait is just a gourmand bomb, roasted (not burnt!) Hazelnuts very very dense (like a big overdose in a cookie), plus cognac (or rum whatever booze is in there). I find it powerful, accurate (as in hazelnuts flavour), nice and interesting for a gourmand scent. The edp is the other way around, the boozyness comes 1st (cognac or rum), strong, but nothing compares to the extrait "density," or punch, and in 2nd comes the roasted hazelnuts. Dense scent, strong booze, not poison, not nuclear bomb like all the freshies lovers write about. Stick to your Eau fresh or Bleu de Chanel! It's for... a night out for strong gentleman (this would kill any Ultramale or those crappy "kings of clubbing fragrances") 5* for edp 4* for extrait

Wow wow wow this is some pokey stuff, like others have said it is dark and powerful but also rich and intense, I’ve only just received bottle and it was a blind buy based on the notes and review by scented moments on YouTube. I love “by the fireplace” by MM and this is Quite different but obviously very nutty but in a much more serious way. Looking forward to waring this over the winter it will be perfect for cold nights but more for outdoor use this will choke people in close proximity. In a good way I think. My first purchase from this house. I ordered it from the UK yesterday and it came from Amsterdam today. Incredible service.... also got two samples only of which was NOOUD and it is possibly the most realistic leather fragrance I have ever smelled. Really impressed with this I love it

Perverso occupies the same rough terrain that Sova occupies. They don't smell the same, nor do they have similar accords, but the way ingredients are blended and completely altered is the same. Again, they don't smell the same, they're not even in the same category, but they certainly work the same. The dynamics, the layering and levelling -- both are extremely complex, multi-note scents that shift and move throughout. I mean, this is more gourmand, the tobacco is much more subdued, but where Sova heads off into a farm themed direction, this one hovers around the resins and sweeter notes. Both are pieces of art, and a pleasure to live in, but this one is MUCH more 'accepted', in an office-wear kind of sense. I love both, and both are remarkably different, but they work the same.

For me it smells amazing, almost perfect combination of hazelnut, cocoa, musk and smoky notes. But for everybody who sits near me or in the same room with me, it smells like lovage or parsley. Strong smell of garden herbs used for cooking. No exception, all of them said the same thing, that i smell like lovage and/or parsley and the room smells like a kitchen. I'm confused, i didn't expect Perverso to have the same effect on the others like Followed by Kerosene does. The longevity and sillage are enormous but unfortunately it's good for me and bad for the others. P.S. Yesterday i wore it at my office and when i got home, after 9 hours, my wife asked me if i spent the whole day in a kitchen instead of my office because me and my clothes have a strong smell of parsley. 😔

Oh my God!! This is the thought that came to my mind when I first smelled this fragrance. Do not look at the notes, because nothing is going to resemble the drawing, or the smells that your mind may try to guess. Darkness, this is what this composition generates in my mind. But not an unpleasant darkness, it is a darkness that attracts me, more and more. It is like opening a very old noble wood cabinet, loaded with tobacco, after a while hazelnut and cocoa smells come out, always with tobacco as the protagonist and it literally becomes a brutality of fragrance that you cannot stop smelling. Not suitable for all audiences, complicated and not very versatile, but its originality is well worth it. Uniqueness: high Scent: 8,5/10 Sillage: high Longevity: more 12h

I have received this a few days ago and i am definetly impressed. This perfume is quite unique because its one of the few that changes so radically. First 45 minutes are leaning more to chocolate / tobacco vibes after which it becomes very aromatic and almost medicinal but in a very pleasant way for my nose.Only after about 2 hours the strongest burnt hazelnut aroma begins to take the spotlight. This perfume shocked me exactly because of how pleasantly it changes and almost suprises you. It becomes a skin scent only about 12 hours after applying which is true Eternal longevity and i really preffer longevity in perfumes. Sillage still has to be tested but it seems like it projects quite well but in a very elegant and non-intrusive way. I really like it.

This is an amazing fragrance but as others have said, it is arguably the strongest perfume I've ever smelled. One or two sprays maximum and you best be outdoors when you wear it. You won't feel like you have to let it settle for awhile. If you wear it indoors, one spray...that's it!!! It's potency makes me feel like this more borderline gourmand than anything. It isn't later into the drydown that it's gourmand characteristics are fully able to be enjoyed and appreciated. In its heart, it reminds me of a dark butter-pecan flavor except the pecans smelled pleasantly roasted. Sample first....this is NOT for a beginner. This is for someone who wants to explore something much more adventurous and interesting.

I have one word for you. DARK. Baruti really dont mess around when it comes to creating intense and rich fragrances... I mean I dunno the whole line but been obsessed with their Nooud for a couple of years, recently ran out and decided to try their latest release Perverso. As somebody previously wrote on this thread, its a gourmand for people who hate sickly sweet fragrances. The gorgeously rich chocolate mixed in with the smell of tobacco and rum is to die for. I can't really smell the fig tbh, instead, I'm getting a touch of saltiness (could be ambergris in fairness) but yeah... it does exactly what it says on the bottle - a deviant concoction for perverted hedonists...YUM.

Blew me away at first sniff! Nutty, smoky, sweet and perfectly balanced. Roasted hazelnuts and tobacco work so well together and as it dries down the sweetness from caramel and cacao becomes more prominent which gives it an almost coffee-like feel. Projection is strong in the first 2 hours and stays a long time with a couple of sprays. Amongst thousands of gourmand fragrances, this one stands out as a unique concoction so make sure to try before you buy, some people may find it challenging. For me, this is where i want to be at in my fragrance journey, at this point of my life. Well done Baruti, i’m looking forward to discovering more from this house.

I'm not much for review writing but came across this fragrance house by accident and DAMN. I honestly just felt blown away by this perfume... It's not your typical in your face gourmand, I'd say its a fragrance for people who hate sickly sweet gourmands ... bitter, smokey at the top, with a definite chocolate heart, kinda boozy (boozy usually doesn't work on me) but the dry down of this one is so damn beautiful. Smelled leathery on my boyfriend and smelled woody/smokey on me... But overall, it's just delicious. If you are looking for something that really stands out and is different, you have found it! Bravo Baruti.

The strongest perfume I’ve ever tried. Lasted over 12 hours on the skin and clings to clothes very well. This perfume is perfect. It’s a brown sugary gourmand that can be worn by anyone. I was surprised at first to see how many people marked this as a masculine scent but upon further wears I can see what people are saying. It’s balancing the sweetness with a rich and smoky base coming from the tobacco that makes it unisex verging on masculine. Perverso could easily overpower someone who is sensitive to strong scents. A high quality perfume that delivers amazingly well. I look forward to getting a full bottle. 10/10

The description is so real for this one, i dislike gourmands but i absolutely love smelling this one In the opening i get rich nutty cream (cocoa and hazelnut) with incense/smoke nuances Like a hazelnut praline or photorealistic filling of kinder bueno As it's drying i'm starting to get more of the smokey tobacco that comes off slightly bitter in the base along with some resins and rum And as it's dried it's not as gourmand but rather rich smokey tobacco enveloped with rum on a base of musk It also develops slightly aromatic qualities, i'm guessing from styrax but i also detect some fig in there

Feel like this one might be highly underrated. There's a LOT going on in this fragrance to my nose. I can definitely pick out some hazelnut and caramel, almost burnt, with hints of rum and pipe tobacco. In a way, the sum smells a little bit like burnt rubber on a hot day... but not at all in an off-putting way (as I know that sounds). There's some incense smoke(?) I think too. but when you pull your nose back a few inches, give it a minute, and take it all in? It's quite beautiful and lovely. I can't stop sniffing it. I'll give it an 8.0/10.

Wow this is some strong stuff! Salty, nutty, boozy, dirty, sexy..in overdrive! This kind of fragrance you solely wear for your own pleasure. There are days when I am afraid to even get too close to the bottle, since it is so strong. On other days I am more brave and I smother myself with this raw sexy heavenly goodness. One spritz will get you through an entire day and night easily. Not suitable for work or social events.

Salty animalic chocolatey hazelnuts. This is definitely an animalic gourmand, the only one I have in this category is Taste of Womanity. They aren't similar btw. A one-spray wonder, performance is off the charts. I wasn't able to smell this at first, it's that strong. Amazing quality. Not for everyone, so try before you buy!

Wow! Best of niche gourmande i've ever smelled. Hazelnuts, sweet rum, sweet oud(not listed, but definitely there), a little bit fruity, a lot of pipe tobacco, caramel and some earthy/spicy note (styrax?). Awesome, awesome blend! A little goes a long way, 2 sprays and you're set for the whole day. I applaud the perfumer! 95

I have the extrait version. It's a fantastic dark nutty-caramely and a little bit smoky(in a good way) tobacco gourmand miracle. I think this fragrance is absolutely masculin. The Perverso is very powerful fragrance. On my skin have extremly longevity and great sillage. I use maximum two sprays for the whole day! Enjoy it!

A sweet, dry, savoury resin, if that makes any sense... Notes of musky coffee, bleached woods and sweet, boozy yumness... There is more than a passing resemblance to Odoon, though, and I may indeed need to compare the two against each other because I am considering Perverso...

The general decline in longevity and sillage of perfume these past years has been relentless, we still need these types of fragrances. Perverso is a superb gourmand with a strong presence enveloping you in a roasted hazelnut cloud. I may need a back-up bottle.

How similar is this to kerosene followed? really love the sample of perverso i have and would love a full bottle but 30ml is a bit pricey when theres 100ml of followed but cheaper... perverso on my skin pulls off lots of caramel, rum and nut for reference

If you like dark,boozy and gourmand fragrances it's a must have,This is a house I will continue to explore!

Masterpiece, one of the most long lasting perfumes

Perverso really is something else (I am reviewing the extrait) a caramelised hazelnut punch in the face, charred almost with some of the hull having been toasted in the oven too. It’s important to note that it is one of the one of the few gourmands out there that is not based around some powdery vanilla amber accord. Instead it appears the gourmand notes are layered around a dry, woody accord that feels like it lurks right under the smooth gourmand surface and is ready to burst and take over the whole fragrance, meaning that Perverso is automatic to my nose typically masculine leaning. What I find very interesting is the seemingly eternal caramelized hazelnut accord that is here to stay along with with a touch of cacao, rum, and benzoin... and stay they do for over 10 hours on my skin with good projection, too good perhaps for every day wear. I am marking it as a like for now, because intense fragrances like this one tend to evoke different reactions based on daytime, mood and season, but I see potential in this becoming a future favorite. Edit: the extract is indeed a bit too ”piney“ for the lack of a better word, even when microdosed it feels a bit jarring over 15 hours or so, almost as if the nose filters out the hazelnut and clings onto that bitter woody facet. I will test the edp soon hoping the intense dry woodiness is less present than in the Extrait.

I've been working through the scents from Baruti since I got the discovery set. This was my first one sampled. The initial spray hits me with a blast of salty nuts before settling down a little and letting me smell more of the rum and chocolate notes. Later on I get touches of tobacco and the caramel becomes more prevalent, giving a bit of sweetness to the scent. To me, this is very much a niche scent in every sense of the word. It's powerful in projection, sillage, and longevity. The quality and care is unmistakable, regardless of how much you might like this. Do I like this scent? Without a doubt; it is fascinating to my nose. My problem is, I don't know if I want to be around people and smell like this, so I find I would get very limited use from it. It's not a delicious gourmand, suitable for a date night in that I don't find it particularly enticing. I think this, like some of the other Baruti since I have tried so far, would just be for me to enjoy around the house.

This is so different than what the notes suggest it may smell like that I felt compelled to leave a review. Bought a bottle from indiescents on sale since I've been stalking perverso(yes... oh no! and just fragrances...) for some time. Dry, smoky, tobacco, amber, ambergris and a hint of rum dominate the opening and initial stages... and here I was thinking it would be a sweet, nutty tobacco fragrance, it's not sweet at all. The mid notes transition slightly in that direction but not enough to counteract the overly dry opening.. it def gets better (for me) and sweeter as it dries down but the notes left me wondering and conflicted, is this the fragrance I bought blind or something totally different? Spyros always has something sinister up his sleeve and this is no exception. Totally unexpected, a pleasant surprise...a winter time scent and keeper for sure! Dry, nutty, boozy tobacco with a hint of smoke and a bit of the sweet stuff; Thanks for this welcome surprise!

The performance has been said enough and I agree,if someone wanted to make stronger with you intensly for Godzilla, this would be it. Now the scent. This is burnt Hazelnut with a hint of ashy Tobacco. The combo seemed interesting, but,there is something synthetic that really all zi can focus on is this sweet honeyed burnt hazelnut,and it just ,I don't know, it dominates other notes,and it really makes me sad because I really really want to love it, but at the moment, ugh, such a shame. Do not smell it up close , because it is very strong. Try to get whiffs of it in the air. I will update my statement, give it more tries and see what others think. I really hope I get over that sweet synthetic note Update: I have given it few tries,and unfortunately, the more I wear it,the more I hate it. Very synthetic. It's not sweet,it's like bitter and chemical and really repulsive. Performance is great though. Sample before buying.

This fragrance is on a really fine line and if you're dutch by chance you might recognize something along the lines of (gevulde) speculaas (warmly spiced, crispy buttery biscuit cookies sometimes with almonds on top) spice blends used usually contain cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger. After this dries down, this nostalgic smell turns into ambergris caramel and I understand people's disappointment. I'm not sure whether I like it or not, because the entire identity of this fragrance dies within minutes. Usually these aforementioned cookies are made during one of our holidays (Sinterklaas) and the holiday lasts about as long as the exciting part of this fragrance, which is kind of symbolic. Whether that is intentional or not is Baruti's secret. I don't know if I can like it. Personally I don't smell old socks or burnt rubber, just a bit of caramel.

Once again I have another example that proves to me that it is extremely important to try a fragrance more than once before you make a final decision about it. I could have told you that this is the worst fragrance I've ever tried. Nothing could change my mind. It was that bad. Or so I thought! Here I am wearing it for the second time and I find it fascinating this time around. How does that even happen?! It is true that I have become a little bit bored with the mainstream fragrances out there. When I say mainstream I'm talking about BDK and other fragrances like that. BARUTI is about as independent as you can go. And it does prove itself to be the case. I don't recommend this house and particularly this fragrance to anyone who is not already Advanced. But if you are, then be my guest!

How do I know the fragrance I’m about to wear is nuclear in power is when I remove the cap and the smell hits my nose without needing to smell the sprayer It’s that crazy and potent As much as I would’ve loved to call it unique but surge lutens made this composition first hand The problem with this it’s not easy to wear around others After applying directly two of my family members were wondering were did the Indian food smell come from What happened is the overdose of notes and power made it hard to smell like a pleasant thing Maybe the styrax had a hand in turning sour but the true beauty of the scent comes around after the first couple of hours and it smells like burnt candied hazelnuts It’s divine and I received a compliment Try before you buy stating it intense is a understatement

EXTRAIT A bullish melange of pyrazine style notes. Unsubtle tight mix if pungent roasted nut, maple, fir balsam with a hint of...celery. VERY strong, long lasting, big sillage. NOT a sugary gourmand at all.... beware!

I sprayed ONE spray on my arm and it filled the hole car AND my house. This is genuinely THE strongest Fragrence I have ever smelled. NOT safe blind buy

nuts! completely nuts! oh yeah, and some perfumey things too. not for everybody and maybe not for a lot of people. eccentric and not shy about it.

This is atrocious. It opens with a pleasant hazelnut note that is very nice. That lasts about five minutes then morphs into a bizarre pepper/chili pepper accord that I was not expecting, ok whatever. That lasts for a tick then settles into an off putting celery seed, burnt rubber, dry caramel mess. This sample is going in the bin. The house is going on my black list. Perhaps Spyros might want to consider going back to neuroscience and to just dabble in perfumery as a hobby. This is going to be a long day lol. I am happy to report I am able to upgrade this from atrocious to meh. At the end of the day this is a dry caramel, which is fine, but what we went through to get here. If one wants to end up on this road but doesn’t want to put up with the long, rough, off putting on ramp my I recommend Caramelo Vanilla by New Notes. It gets you the same dry caramel but without all the strum un drang upfront.

In my opinion, it's not so much hazelnut as it is roasted chestnuts and grilled marshmallow with a dose of fir smoke (could be the tobacco they list in there but I don't quite get that from this). Sweet wood and spice, touch of candied fruit. Gourmand like there's no tomorrow with a balsamic twist. The faintest hint of cold incense grounds it so it doesn't just only smell of caramel and vanilla bean. Overall, definitely on the sweeter spice side. Gotta love cake, not a day scent. Careful : this EdP will not die! It stays even after washing it off. Put on clothes at your own risk!

The name befits the smell. It is strong smell of something that’s not very attractive. It reminds me of something from Indian kitchen but it’s not something I would want to smell like. It is quite strong. Up close it smells of something sweet but burnt. All in all when I do put this on at least for the first couple hours makes me wonder wtf is this. One spritz is all it takes

I have enjoyed the Baruti discovery set. Many interesting offerings. For me, this isn't one of them. It is potent. Which is not an issue. The issue is that for my nose, I get maple nut goodies. Love those things. Like to eat them. Don't want to smell like them. I get that mixed with a house scented candle. Can't quite put my nose on what type of candle.

Roasted hazenuts with some burned caramel. Not very sweet. A heavy bomb of cozy vibe. Drydown goes into sewwter Follow/Followed DNA. Longevity and projection is atomic. For very advanced users not young rookie.

How on earth did they make this so potent? I sprayed it twice from a sample vial onto a scent strip, sniffed it once, got up, walked to the front door, went outside, realized the trash can was still out at the street (it's trash day), walked down there, threw it away, and brought the trash up from the curb. When I came back inside, I walked back into my office and realized the scent was still there. Whatever small amount didn't hit the strip when I sprayed it had dissipated into the air and ended up being blown to and fro by the ceiling fan, and now the whole room smelled like it. Still does. HOWEVER. While I had been outside throwing it away, I walked down to the street with the scent strip in my right hand, and even outdoors, the scent was there, but it wasn't as overpowering as it had been indoors. I think if you're wearing this, and you walk into any indoor venue at all, there's about an 85-90% chance that whoever's inside will ask you to leave, even if they're normally a really nice person. And if you were brazen enough to wear this on the subway, you'd stand a solid chance of starting some sort of front page mass hysteria. But if you are a person who spends ALL of their time outside, and you live someplace where it is always cold, and you also want to wear a scent that will reliably get you comments (not compliments, comments), this will do that for you. The comments probably won't initially be directed at you. It'll be more something like your friend saying, "Hey I think I need to sit down, I just started smelling something really strong, and I think I might be about to have a stroke." Then you'll say, "No that's me." And then they'll say, "Oh wow okay did you mean to smell like that on purpose?" And then you'll say, "yeah." Point of Clarification: The scent itself really is not bad. The combination of notes is fine. It's just the strongest. fragrance. ever. And it will nuke anybody within a six foot radius. So it actually may be the ultimate COVID-era fragrance since it'll ensure you get a solid six feet of personal space. It's undeniably an achievement, and I'm glad to have the sample vial as a conversation piece. I'm very confident that it will last me my entire life.

From testing on paper (not brave enough for skin): Perverso opens like a punch in the face, boozy, nutty, and very dense. This I kind of enjoyed. However, like Dingleberries below me, I then get a very green touch on top of that dense layer, which gave me unmistakeable CELERY scent memories. As I don't like celery, I'm really not taken with this stage, and I cannot unsmell it. I have no idea which note evokes this, perhaps the fig? These two layers, nutty and celery, which do not merge but almost seem to sit on top of each other for a while, make Perverso a decidedly unpleasant, pungent scent to me - albeit an interesting and memorable one, as this is clearly made with high quality materials and smells very different from anything else I've ever tried. The celery note does mellow eventually, but too late for me. Would like to see how this smells on someone, but am currently unwilling to offer my own wrist for the experiment.

Rum, tobacco, cocoa, a sharp lavender-adjacent note, and scorched woods; that’s the core impression. Visually, it immediately throws me into an image of something tar-like: a sticky, asphalt-dark brew made from pitch and sugarcane molasses. It’s as if this substance has been used to draw sigils on the ground; step on one, and it snaps shut like a trap, dragging you down into an underworld of angry lava and jumping flames. Down there, satyrs, infernal imps, terrorguards, and succubi mock the unlucky souls who stumble into the sigil. The succubi lounge with goblets of rum-spiked hot chocolate, flicking their whips with casual, random cruelty, while the satyrs savor thick cigars and laugh; loud, lewd, and unbothered. This falls firmly in the category of fragrances I want to like but can't. There is something in this that is overly harsh and off-putting to my nose. The composition has what I would consider the perfect amount of sweetness combined with a dense nutty accord. Imagine eating a hot plate of chestnut pancakes whilst sitting on a wooden bench in an old fashioned bed and breakfast. Sounds wonderful doesn't it? So yeah, this should be a love for me but its not..perhaps its the blending or maybe one of the ingredients (maybe the chestnut) is coming across too harshly for my liking. I would encourage everyone to sample before buying but I think most niche fanatics will enjoy this. Just not myself unfortunately.
