Green, fresh, powdery; those were the first three words that came to mind, and I’m convinced they’re spot-on. It smells richly of grass, wrapped in a very polite, pleasant freshness. It’s calm and soothing, yet also genuinely uplifting. There’s a quiet melancholy to it, but at the same time it feels like it’s taking you by the hand and gently trying to lead you out of that melancholy. This one evokes a distinctly forest-like atmosphere for me. You’re among trees after rainfall; not a textbook petrichor, but there is that pairing of damp, humid earth with wet grass. Nature has been soaked. Cool breezes still brush under your tree. You close your eyes: wet greens, a touch of soft moss, and airy, tender fresh florals. And somewhere very far away, a salty wind drifting in from the sea. Everything feels in harmony. I put three generous sprays on my neck and one or two on my left wrist (I wear my watch on my right) and it was INSTANT heaven. What an amazing first impression this makes on you, and what a wonderful combo of notes this offers up, verdant, semi-ripe green notes, crunchy violet candy and sweet musk -- I love it! Just when I got back home, my lady caught whiff of it and said "we need to talk about your perfume", and she does NOT like it, unfortunately. That's okay, I'm halfway through packing a suitcase and Tinder is near downloaded, so I'll be okay! I do love this scent, it's sweet-floral dainty, and with slight traces of Johnson and Johnson "No more tears" shampoo -- there's a HOM violet scent that smells the same, too -- but it doesn't distract or detract. All in all, a wonderful scent I'll need to wear when the lady isn't around, but other than that, massive LOVE.

The secret treasure in Baruti’s catalog. One of the greenest offerings out there, and is perfect for rainy spring and summer days/nights as well as a change-of-pace scent for cold winter days. Difficult to be in a bad mood when wearing this one - brings to mind barefoot morning walks in the grass. Though not as room-filling as other Barutis (Perverso and Chai come to mind), it *might* overpower if you go heavy, so give it a couple of test runs before committing. All in all, this is an excellent perfume that deserves your attention, especially if you’re looking for a standout green scent that isn’t what everyone else is wearing.

Tindrer is an incredible, dewy, green breath of spring, touched with violet and fortified with the firm citrus note of lemon verbena. There's something mossier and muskier underneath that adds interest and keeps it from being too precious. It's almost salty; a hint of (clean) sweat. Tindrer doesn't smell at all like a classic chypre; yes, it's green, floral, and mossy, but somehow the structure is totally different. It's not traditionally "perfumey" in the slightest. It might even be a masculine. It's powdery-delicate in the heart, but also fiercely tangy-sharp with the verbena and galbanum. I'm in love.

The violet is rendered into something I’ve never experienced before. I’m not 100% what, though. It’s not soft, dainty, wispy or even delicate. It’s backed with a balsamic element, along with a Nasomatto ‘musk’, and all together there is an accord that is not 100% smooth and unified. There’s a refreshing element to this, as well, maybe I need to try this one out in isolation, and not with 5 other fragrances on my arms. But anyway, I’m inclined to feel this is a no, but I might just try it out again, just to be 100% sure...

Opens very damp, earthy and fruity Like bat - but bat is like vibrant, slightly decaying tropic fruits on damp soil but this one is more green and floral with fruity hints on a base of damp earth Since the first whiff i am absolutely in love with this As it's completely dry it becomes less fruity and citrusy and more powdery floral on a base of musks For anyone who's tried the extrait version of this one: how does it compare scent wise, is it the same composition and notes or different? Wowowow. This is a standout green spring fragrance for me. It honors the floral powderiness that is unavoidable in springtime, but balances it with bushy oakmoss and plenty of fresh dew. This is a such an energizing, hopeful scent to me. The extrait (now discontinued) expresses a lot more powdery musk and violet, making this a stronger, soapier scent. I prefer the EDP on myself, as the balance of fresh green notes plays nicely on my skin and to my nose.

This is a MARVELOUS summer fragrance. Imagine you are stepping barefoot through wet moss in the woods. There is rain-drenched violets everywhere and wet soil between your toes. I put this on yesterday in the morning and boy oh boy did I feel gorgeously refreshed for the whole day. Bravo!!

This is verdant and refreshing, and would be perfect for spring and summer. I like how the galbanum stays through to provide an anchor for the airier notes. The oakmoss and musk haven't been added with a heavy hand either, which is a plus for me.

Tindrer is a beautiful green fragrance. I smelled the violet right away followed by the green notes and galbanum. It makes me very happy to wear this fragrance. It lasts ALL day on me. Magnificent!

Luca Turin on Tindrer “I also very much like Tindrer, which strikes me as a lovely masculine version of de Nicolaï’s Odalisque."

I had far too much expectations for Tindrer, likely my fault. Its not a bad perfume at all. Like-able and organic. Living here in the tropics with the surrounding smells and nuances: my wild garden, neighbor's cows, ponds and wild flowers people de-weeding their overgrown land etc. can have an unconscious effect on ones nose. When Tindrer was tested, I didn't find anything amusing or explorative because i have smelled this here in my place before. But that's besides the point I suppose. I reckon that if you are living in a cold environment and it reminds you of a patch of forest in summer, this would probably work magic. The fragrance is a mashed up concoction of fresh leafy grass, wild flowers teeny bit of cow dung and fresh pond water (in my experience). Thrown in are some white flowers which raise their eyebrows after the first hour.Quite a linear perfume. Its a work of art and not necessarily to please crowds. 7/10 BTW, the colour is light green.

Based off memory, and one day of wearing this sample of Tindrer, I am reminded of Miracle Homme L’Aquatonic. To echo e raw below, in a “neon” sort of way. Spyros’ is similarly grassy with a sweetened base, but certainly more “neon”/metallic. Transitions into a galbanum note that echoes Aramis Devin in its pastoral nature (but that’s about it)... not to be confused with smelling identical to either, but perhaps a bit of the semi-sweet violet of Maurice Roucel’s Riverside Drive as well is shared. The base is a sheer, cyber green prism a la Greenergy-but-better...

Opens with the scent of walking into a green, just rained on garden. It's full of the greens, violet, and a little brightness from the lemon verbena. It's not quite as powerful as some of the other Baruti scents I have tested. Strikes me as a bit leaning feminine but still safely unisex as it does dry down a bit earthier and not quite as flowery. Overall, not as much of a wow fragrance as some of the others from this house, and it's one I'd probably never purchase. Just not quite my kind of scent.

Wooow this is amazing! I remember smelling it in store and not being super impressed, but on skin, wow. First blast is minty to me, fresh, might be the lemon verbena but its a spearmint to me mixed with oakmoss, very earthy and green, love it. Projects amazingly. This might be my next on the buy list. It smells very natural and wet/floral green. I had that wet/moist/cold feeling from some perfumes such as L'Occitane's Eau Iparie earlier. The performance is outstanding for this light and airy feeling, 12 hours easily, but the price for 30 ml (120 eur) is outrageous. I liked the smell a lot but without the huge discount i had, i wouldn't have bought it. Because it smells only'nice', it won't rock your world.

This is nice. The description from Vickalicious is what I get. But, i actually like it. It sits somewhere between a garden near dewy grass or a fresh cut lawn near a Waterpark. Weird yes, but it works. Soft. Leans feminine but wearable by anyone.

Far from the demure Victorian interpretations of the flower, this a brashly trumpeting violet, a violent violet, the scent of stomping heartily through a massive violet meadow at midday, crushed wake of purple & green debris. Neon violet.

Green, deep green forest trees. Wet wildflowers in the medow below. Smells like rain on a forest floor in early Spring. Nice.

The only one I like from the discovery set. Well balanced, refined slightly flowery herbal. Reminds me of summer fields.

Harsh scent with a sour ferocity and a green heart. Opens with galbanum, lemon verbena and a big wallop of violet leaf creating a musty vibe. It's not so much sparkly as outdoorsy. Onder de Linde is so much more thrilling than this and although it's green heart is twined with florals, it manages to shine in a way Tindrer doesn't. I'm not keen on lemon verbena in perfume. I love it rubbed between fingers while walking, but as a note it lacks character and isn't as exciting as lemon; itself problematic given its overuse in cleaning products. Greens are amongst my favourite perfumes & I have a wardrobe crowded with them; De Scherrer, Bandit, Cabochard, Silences, Dryad, Chypre Siam, Trussardi, Givenchy lll, Azuree. The best of them thrill me but this one is merely bracing. Distillation: sour ferocity violet leaf and galbanum bracing without thrills

Green notes, galbanum and little verbena fading into oakmoss and musk with hint of flowers. Gets very dry with time. For early spring. Not very specific or ground breaking.

Tindrer is a pass for me. This opens up very green- it reminds of walking into a florist shop or cutting the stems of flowers. Shortly after the opening I get dry, earthy purple flowers, watery rose, and some musk. It smells like I took the water from a vase of flowers and sprayed it on. This was almost immediately a skin scent on me, and last as such for about 3 hours.

A purple and soapy candy with a bitter starter of galbanum, citrus verbena and dense, sparkling green. Quite loud, a megaphone that also fits well on a man with a white shirt and an open collar. Powerful, super-clean trail and the temper that distinguishes the Baruti. More daytime, brighter, shimmering with white musk ... Too much meh.

I mistakenly thought this was Baruti's linden perfume and boy did I smell linden in this. It is intensively green but it still has this honeyed-green flowery aspect and of course if you stay enough you will start to see through this synthetic nature of the ingredients, yet the floral part is quite realistic. What I missed in my misconception was how citrusy this scent also is. "Citrusy verbena" might literally be the perfect bridge between this and that, and it easily depicts lime and bergamot peels, herbal tea, grass, all that stuff. I don't know about "happy/sad" except maybe the violet doing its job speaking softly melancholic about childhood games in the meadows All in all it's a beautiful fragrance with a well-told story but, unfortunately, almost no projection. Or, as another user beautifully put it, "sillage is restrained yet present". What a poetic way to see said melancholy through the scent's trail. Maybe it shouldn't be louder after all.

the opening is damp & musty... it smells like an old place that I cant quite pin down - a store full of antiques? a graveyard? an old wood forest ... it's a strange shapeshifter ... my partner said he got dusty books in the opening when he wore it it stays mostly dry & bitter for the first 2-3 hours before softening up with light soapy violets and then it smells heavenly, it just takes a while to get to that point ..I like it but sort of wish the florals were noticeable from the beginning 4 sprays medium to skin scent projection but decent sillage when my partner wore it ...I could smell him every time he walked by me

I am transported to an idyllic summer day in my childhood Nordic and I am running barefoot on a summer meadow that smells wonderfully and realistically of hay and fluffy violets. After a while I am drawn back to the present and a strong scent of galbanum-violet-soap dominates the rest of the day. Jag transporteras till en idyllisk sommardag i min barndoms Norden och jag springer barfota på en sommaräng som doftar underbart och realistiskt av hö och fluffiga violer. Efter en stund dras jag tillbaka till nutiden och en stark doft av galbanum-viol-tvål dominerar resten av dagen.

Just received bottle of this from the Netherlands & it's lovely! Gorgeous bitter green opening leading to intense violet heart. There is an almost balsamic fruity element in here that absolutely seems identically shared with Baruti Berlin Im Winter, although no listed notes are in common. ETA: Trying sample of Baruti Indigo right now & getting this same fruity balsamic note, and I wonder if that could be mastic/lentisque, which IS a listed note shared between Indigo & Berlin Im Winter?

Refreshing green scent. Like most green Baruti scents starts off with a heavy dose of sweet spearmint and lemon verbena not boring citrus. Galbanum kicks in to provide as soft green herbal note with some ozonic touh. Dry down becomes violet dominated with the soapy floral powderiness. There a slight spicy element too like musk. Superb longevity and excellent projection. Its not oakmoss dense infact a strange mossy tone here. Superb scent for spring/summers.

Tindrer opens with a icey cold green violet vibe. Almost like minty violet. Underneath is a layer of almost a Nasomatto-esque musk. It's very unique and I can't really compare it to anything else. There's something sort of normal about it though, it might be perfect for someone who likes fresh and aquatic stuff but wants something unique. It's a strange concoction that really makes me want to try the rest of Baruti.

To my nose this is cold at first. Mentholated icy violets with a touch of the lemon verbena, then it transitions into a soapy lemony Mr. Bubble like the opening of A Sorta Fairytale in Hyde Park by Strangers. But it doesn't stay there, the violet subsides and the Musk takes over. A beautiful white Musk with pokes of that lemon verbena. I could see this getting a lot of use in the Springtime.

Got a sample of this and gave it a go . Wore it on a super hot day , sprayed it at 8am in the morning got my first compliment around 1pm . This stuff is super powerful , for me even after 12 hours still it was going strong and I was turning heads . May not be the most versatile perfume but if you are looking for a beast mode perfume this one is for you it will fill a room with two sprays .

Great lasting power. Reminds me of Narciso Rodriguez for him. I also recall having smelled a few notes in Invasion Barbare and Carolina Herrera 212 Men. Tindrer is of high quality and lasts forever. But.. it's REALLY soapy. If you like to smell of high quality soap, try Tindrer. Really unisex, by the way. 6/10

Fresh cut grass, pissy musk, redcurrant acidity, intense violet, galbanum, cedarwood, cypress and wormwood. Very different but realistic scent. One for the lovers of rainy, mossy and green bitter scents.

My favorite pick-up from Baruti. This is fresh cut grass with a lovely violet scent. Very green, very beautiful. A summer day in the garden distilled and bottled.
