Figue Amour

I was traveling and smelled this in a fancy boutique marketplace in downtown Tampa FL of all places. I think I am intoxicated by the fig. My friend felt there was too much hippie sandalwood, but I kept smelling and smelling and bought the soap. It is is called Figue d'Eté, and I can't tell if it is the same thing. (I would probably buy the d'Eté as a fragrance too but am not sure it is even available as a fragrance.) Anyway, I still may buy this scent online from the company: creamy, woody, figgy vanilla with greens. The pink pepper adds a glorious freshness. I hope to find other scents in this vein. I hesitated to buy the large bottle of the EDT for $145 and now wish I had not. If this is what Provence smells like, oh my! I also love Sous le Pont Mirabeau (same perfumer as this) for the salty figginess (from Etat Libre d'Orange)

I don't really hear anyone talk about Bastide but they have a gorgeous line of scents. I got the sample set because I wanted to try Figue Amour, Neroli Lumiere, and 1958 and found that every scent in their line was really lovely, though Figue Amour is my favorite. I love a fig perfume in summer but they're so hard to come by. This one is delicious- it feels warm and summery but green and bright and a little sweet, too. I love the way this perfume develops on my skin and lingers for hours, I'll catch a whiff and fall back in love with it. Philosykos is my favorite fig perfume of all time, but Figue Amour is rushing into second place in my fig lineup. Definitely worth checking out!

This is a terrific sandalwood scent. It's easy to wear day and night. It certainly captures that summer in the sun spirit. I find it simple yet simply sensual. I think the lotions are the best. The longevity and dry down are unremarkable- neither terrific nor bad. What I do like best and why I would recommend it is the application. It's a pleasure to put on, even if it doesn't last long. It's a moment in time that transports me away.

Fresh, green, figgy, with a hint of bitterness and spice. Found this gem on my quest to explore every fig fragrance I can find. This is a beauty, quite different to the usuals like Philosykos which is less bitter green (and frustratingly dries to a BO like scent on me), and others such as Debaser with the common coconut note. It stays pretty green and linear. Doesn’t last long given it is an EDT but a fresh beauty nonetheless.

I ordered a sample of the Neroli Lumiere, and they threw in an extra one of the Figue Amour, which I liked better. What I get is a nicely balanced sandalwood and vanilla. I don't really know how to pick out the fig. Beautiful packaging and excellent communication and service from this company. They also used paper packaging instead of bubble wrap and shipped very quickly.

I can only afford the hand cream at the moment. It's that perfect lush juicy fig and green notes with woods that I prefer probably to the more popular Philosykos or other fig scents. They do bodywash, hand-wash and lotions too and it really is the most gorgeous range. Can't get enough of this smell! I want more!

Wow! Gorgeous. Dry, spicy wood, bergamot and pepper opening to a core of green fig. Musk at the base. Balanced between a salty gourmand, and a slightly musky freshie. Softly layered. Nothing overstated. Very special fragrance. Bastide has created one of the best fragrance lines i have smelled in recent years. All offerings are excellent (Rose, Nue, Figue and 1958 are standout to me!) all are casual, sporty outdoor scents (none of them are really for dress up, for evenings, etc. though ‘Fig Amour’ is ‘serious’). I would like to own 3 or maybe even 4 of them. Wow Mathieu Nardin!

Very realistic green fig. Lots of cardamom on top. Nice sandalwood underneath. Real savoury/vegetal element. A bit musty and dusty to my nose. I'm just not much of a fig lover. But I can appreciate that to those that love fig, this would be stunning. VERDICT: Interesting fragrance with nice depth. Enjoyable sampling experience, but ultimately not for me. Missing a bit of an edge or a fun element.

this starts with a green fig along with bergamot, orris and a dose of cardamom. it's green/citrus and a bit spicy. i am a bit surprised at the reviews below that say there is no fig here. on my skin, fig is the strongest note. it does get more woody over time. it's green, dusty and somewhat dry. a solidly good fig perfume, i think. not too sweet.

Lemony bergamot with a little bit of soapy freesia and pickled wood. Very nice perfume. Smells like an herbal spa scent. As the perfume ages, it starts smelling like a cool, floral oakmoss, which I prefer. Smell: 9 out of 10 Longevity: 7 out of 10 Unisex For reference, I'm female.

Another surprisingly good offering from Bastide. This is a fresh, natural fig that opens bright (bergamot and cardamon) then turns into a sandalwood scent in the base. There are several in this EDT line that I would love to wear on a regular basis, including Figue Amour.

This is nice, it somehow smells more of sandalwood (sorta similar as Santal 33 by Le Labo) in mid and dry down.. in mid it has sunscreen/plasticky note that I am not much sure about.. over all I felt Fig for a limited time at the start. I need to try it few more times to find out if I am into it or not. Do check the profile of person and their perfume choices before taking their opinion seriously.

Smells like a really nice fig scented bar of soap to my nose. I dont know why people associate people saying something smells like a bar of soap as a bad thing, I personally think its a good thing, who doesnt want to smell like a really nice bar of fig soap?

This is one of my favorite fig perfumes! It reads very sweet figgy to me compared to philosykos which reads as much more green. I personally find this more wearable-- a little spicy, very warm... Smells like summer in the south of France!

This is a gorgeous scent, very thoughtful and well executed mix. I get mostly green notes though and very little fig. I would prefer this more as a candle then a scent on my person, but I like it very much. It conjures a lovely mood.

Smells very similar to "Eau" by Who is Elijah... I'm really not a fan of the sandalwood in either of these perfumes but that is just my personal preference. Quite strong and long-lasting for an edt.
