Paradis Nuit

I have heard Sebastian, The Perfume Guy, talking towards the end of 2024 about this brand very positively and two days ago I’ve seen some 50 ml bottles of Paradis Nuit on the shelves in a local store. Being curious about Bastille Paris, I have bought a bottle and I think I have found my soapy scent. Unlike some other soapy scents, Paradis Nuit doesn’t smell like cheap soap, very laundry like and sharp, but it’s warm, honeyed floral, with a very pronounced woody backbone. I genuinely believe that the mix of cocoa pod, acacia and patchouli are the saving grace for this soapy perfume. About two years ago I have blind bought Milano Fragranze’s Naviglio, which turned out to be a failed blind buy. It has, like Paradis Nuit, soap, neroli, petit grain but it smells really cold, cheap and very laundry like. Maybe it’s the lavender or the vetiver but I don’t enjoy wearing Naviglio... Paradis Nuit is soo much better, it’s more complex, smells niche, but very beautiful and balanced, has some contrast between the soapy notes, the warm florals, the soft woods, clean, fresh patchouli. I don’t know what hay does to a perfume, but I don’t mind it here. It’s blended nicely with the rest of the notes. Paradis Nuit is the first scent I have bought in 2025 and it’s an instant love. Smells unlike anything in my collection!

A beautiful soapy, thick, powdery, creamy, fluffy gentle fragrance that lasts and lasts... Very soft but not weak! It reminds me a lot of something, but I don't know what, I even consulted with a perfume colleague and she said the same. We can't figure out exactly what it associates us with (which is also a good sign). A very special fragrance that I personally like, I am 35 years old, a completely straight guy, and I think this is a wonderful, charming unisex fragrance for both sexes. Very likeable and my personal favorite along with Bataille. This perfume is so dreamy and harmonious that the name Paradise in the title really suits it. Lovely! For my nose, it would be ideal for spring and autumn. Rainy autumn with leaves, a walk in the park or forest... Spring, Saturday morning routine, coffee on the terrace...or something similar. Winter ? Maybe why not, a sweater and a fireplace and some kind of warm dessert or chestnuts with whipped cream. For summer, I think it would be too much..

An incredibly unique scent, the cacao and soap do not clash at all but are beautifully brought together by the white flowers which are not at all overpowering. While it is a very clean scent I agree with some of the previous posts: this is not an office scent. It's rather sensual - in a cozy way. It's an evening in with a loved one, or a big breakfast with a hot drink on a rainy fall day after a steamy shower. I adore this and am already looking forward to bringing this out in the fall again.

Beautiful soapy scent. Comforting and clean. The addition of the cocoa makes it soft and gentle unlike most soapy fragrance that can be harsh and assertive. I have over 100 bottle of perfumes and nothing smells quite like this so it's another win from Bastille. Worth a big bottle since this is easy to wear and longevity is great. It's a skin scent but lasts a while. I adore how it makes you smell clean and inviting.

I am going to be very upfront about this fragrance. This is very erotic. It smells like a wet towel your lover dried their body with, left outside in the sun. It has a faint, corporeal vibe to it. Far from dirty or animalic, but it’s there and it’s noticeable. Longevity could be better, but it is very beautiful. My favourite from this brand.

Glorious! Clean but so very interesting. The cocoa, and sandalwood give this warmth and bite, while Savon de Marseille note keeps it fresh. Honestly one of the most unique perfumes I have smelt in a minute, and a true JOY to wear! Edit: This is quickly becoming my most complimented perfume. It's truly magic.

Wow! I am speechless... Soft soap bubbles surrounded by creamy sandalwood. Slightly powdery textures in the heart thanks to the Acacia flower and coca powder that also enhances the sandalwood. Lovely everyday scent that is elevated, elegant. Full bottle and signature scent worthy in my opinion.

Wow I love this so much. Super clean and soapy with warmth base. Get compliments all the time. Quite sexy really... When you are close to someone and smell this on their skin it is very comforting and ooh la la.

An incredible feminine perfume. Unique, high quality, fresh but with an interesting twist thanks to the white flowers and wood. I've smelled it on a friend and had to know what it is. A must try!

I like this. This smells like fresh air in a spa. Even tho there is a soap accord, I don't get the soap note that I want from this. I am a soap note fanatic and this just isn't soapy to me. I honestly don't get any of the notes listed. this just smells like fresh air. This is a peaceful scent. This smells unisex to me.

Soapy, spicy Aromatic opening, woody dry down

Sure, spray it in the air and it’s all soap and fairies and white flowers and your sweet lover’s post-coital woman musk, but spray it on skin... Has anyone else ever smelled the inside of the removable plastic ashtray that comes with those triangle-exhaust 2007 era Honda Civics? When I was a kid we’d pass said ashtray around the back seat and take long deep huffs from this little chamber of outgassing plastic fumes. We called it the bumhole. It had a pleasing little soft close lid to fiddle with while your parents argued over whether or not to take the M6 toll. Anyway, on skin this fragrance smells like the 2007 era Civic bumhole. I’d know that smell anywhere - my developing childhood brain dedicated a fair few neurons to it. That and Dave of course. Ahh Dave.

Almost floral, clean linen fabric softener, the soapiness is broken by earthy notes of cocoa, which in combination I perceive almost as grey soft suede. The powderyness not unlike iris or saffron adds a metallic and colder aftertaste and a subtle scratchiness to the scent. After the third hour, notes of dill appeared. Interesting spring and summer silvery grey scent. 50 ml for 100 Eur might be adequate if it makes a signature scent for you.

This smells like a Lush fragrance. Or that overwhelming smell that hits your nose when you walk into a Lush store. It’s interesting, bright, soapy but not boring, smells vintage in the drydown. The cacao is barely noticeable. But in general still Lush-like, somewhere between the combined drydowns of 1000 kisses deep and karma. Nice but I’m not sure if it’s worth the price. Not my favourite out of the discovery set.

I think the neroli and the patchouli give this an older gentleman vibe to my nose. I don't think this is very unisex or alluring. It reminds me of the smell of a birdcage in a bird shop maybe it's the hay, but it smells a lot like the dry seeds and cedar that you'd get in the air at a pet store. I respect it, but it's not me.

Indian spice market. It’s so overpowering and strong. I thankfully only spray on the paper and not on my skin. If you like very spicy, cedar, with a hint of dark chocolate and white flowers you’ll like this one.

As a soapy scents lover I was blind bought it Beacouse of the French soap note mentioned as a Top and was expecting one more clean scent in my collection.But .. What a surprise, First spray and you understand that this perfume is absolutely unique , different from others . Yes it’s sounds different, it sounds very sensual and intimate, but not in a feminine way . To cut a long story short it’s a smell of a man ,post-sex feeling , that evoke a lot of emotions. Imagine the warmth of skin still radiating heat , layered with the comforting essence of cleanliness and intimacy. This scent encapsulates the thrilling aftermath of passion , a blend of warmth , freshness and anderstated sensuality that lingers in the air , leaving a memory of closeness and affection!

initially an incredibly photorealistic hay scent, but the second it dries down, it’s completely gone :( what’s left is a VERY light soap smell and not much else.

Coarse soap with the natural greenery and astonishing hay in the opening, shifts salty minerals in the mid, it's a true movie and an incredible study.

No cacao at all and a pungent, scratchy note at the beginning, like garlic. Not a fan
