At the Beach

Beachy, sweet, creamy, tropical, fresh, sunny, bright, refreshing, marine, aquatic, salty, citrusy, floral, warm, musky, feminine, sensual, flirty, transportive, nostalgic, and even somewhat cozy I did previously review this, but wanted to share an updated review in hopes that I can better describe it. On me this is a beachy, sweet, fresh, and marine/aquatic scent with tropical, sweet, creamy, and warm toasted coconut, sweet, floral, and slightly buttery frangipani, fresh, bright, and citrusy bergamot, refreshing, marine/aquatic, and salty ocean breeze, and soft sunkissed musk. I also think I’m getting a little vanilla too even though I don’t see it listed in the notes. There’s just a whisper of a Sun tan lotion like scent (I always love that!), but it’s very subtle, so don’t be afraid of that. Overall, it’s such a beautiful, beachy, sandy, and fresh ocean breeze scent. I have this in the mist, lotion, body scrub, body wash, sea salt hair mist, hand lotion, and hand soap. I’ve been using this for many years, ever since it first came out. I love it on its own, as well as layering the body care products with some of my other favorite beachy/coconut fragrances. It pairs so well with most of my favorites. This does remind me a lot of one of the newer Rosie Jane fragrances, Missy. Missy has more tropical fruity notes, but whenever it dries down it has a very similar resemblance to At The Beach. I would consider it to be almost a dupe in the dry down. This feels feminine to me, and like it’s fitting for women of any age. I think this is best suited for the warmer weather of late spring and summer. I think this is best suited for more casual occasions, as well as for work, or school. It’s a very pleasant scent that seems to be pretty crowd pleasing, so I do consider this a safe blind buy. I’m so glad that B&BW hasn’t discontinued this one, and that they keep it available throughout the entire year. I get really good performance with At The Beach (especially if I use the body care products with the mist). The longevity is decent, it lasts about 5-7 hours before I feel that it might need a touch up. The projection is nice, it radiates out about an arm’s length. Beachy, coconut, tropical, floral, lactonic, salty, citrusy, sweet, vanilla, marine, nutty, sunny, radiant, refreshing, feminine, sensual, seductive, flirty, alluring, inviting, comforting, transportive, tranquil, nostalgic I love how this has a toasted coconut note, and they really nailed it for the toasted vibe. It’s not overly creamy/lactonic, but really toasted and somewhat nutty. I also get the exotic frangipani, slightly aquatic and citrusy bergamot waters, and a saltiness from the saltwater breeze. I also get a really luxe Sun tan lotion scent which I really love! I’m not sure exactly why, but I also get a sand-like vibe from this. I absolutely adore At The Beach! I’ve been using this for years in the body wash, body scrub, lotion, mist, and hand cream. I really love beachy, coconut scents during the warmer weather, and this is one of my favorites! I really love pairing the body care with my favorite perfumes. This is the kind of scent you either get or you don’t, based on the reviews here. It’s exactly what it’s being sold as: a beachy scent. It’s salty, coconutty, tropical-floral suntan lotion. The bergamot lends some brightness. It’s beautiful. Gauzy and translucent - this one isn’t strong; it’s a sea breeze of a scent. Perfect for summertime or whenever you find yourself craving that beachy vibe. I like that this is offered year round. It also works well with both coconut and light aquatic scents. Tonight I have it on with Bombshell Isle from VS, but I also think it would be great with Davidoff Cool Woman WAVE for her which is a salty frangipani aquatic. I have both the body cream and the body mist and layered together gives an optimized experience but it’s still a softer scent. So while some seem to dislike this, I find it wholly likeable and doubt that it would be offensive to passersby. They would probably just think you came from the beach!

while staying in the florida keys, all the bath products in the fancy hotel had this scent and i think that’s incredibly fitting. slightly sunscreen-esque, but not plasticky. coconut leans more fresh and creamy (it’s not a thick, toasted coconut vanilla, more green). the plumeria is pleasant and gives a certain lightness. salt water is present but it’s a pretty, sparkly, clean salt water. no funky ocean smell here. overall it’s very much a beachside hotel fragrance. you can tell it’s not expensive, but it doesn’t smell incredibly cheap. she’s fun in the summertime or any time i want to smell pleasant when it’s hot out. i wore her to the disney parks and it felt very right. the vibes: white button down shirt on the burning sand. mock tortoiseshell sunglasses. a windy day on mauna kea beach, complete with a sunscreen massage from a devoted partner

I adore this!! I have the body spray and Lotion and it's the best sunscreen scent I've ever smelled and it layers beautifully with lots of summer perfumes including aqva divina, Intense tiare, Versace crystal noir, Fire island, and lots more. It's extremely long lasting especially for a body spray. I get lots of coconut, not sugar sweet but sunscreen type. Salt and fragapini. It's so beachy, smells just like being smothered in sunscreen, with salt water drying on your skin with the heat of the sun warming it. I love this! It would be amazing if they would make a perfume version! :) sillage starts at an arms length and then softens to moderate to soft, lasting around 4 hours on my skin. By far my favorite scent from BBW.

Beach in a bottle, makes me think of sunsets on the beach, wearing an airy t-shirt, salt in my hair, drinking a coconut watching the sun go down after a surf session. It's a nice, breezy, salty combination of lime and coconut of me. I just retested this, the first time I tried it it got mixed up with other mists. One spray on the back of my hand and it's still going strong after 4 hours (it's a skin scent, of course). Call me crazy, but it smells a lot like Virgin Island Water by Creed to me. That one dries down to a skin scent real fast and it's gone after a couple hours, and overall 15$ for 200+ ml is better than 450$ for 100 ml, right? Love this, will be purchasing soon.

My favorite scent ever, it's so relaxing and clean smelling but not to the point where it smells like a chemical cleaner. When I first spray it I definitely get the coconut and bergamot notes, and as it dries down I start to pick up the hints of frangipani. I can't really smell the sea salt, but that's okay with me. I wish they would make an actual eau de parfum of it because I don't feel like the fragrance mist lasts long enough or is strong enough compared to the other products I own in this scent (namely the lotion or the shampoo.) Maybe it is a skin issue though. I would recommend layering it with Waikiki Beach Coconut if you are looking for a sweeter, more full scent.

Coconut Lover back at it with this one! VERY TORPICAL! Edit: I forgot to mention, I don't typically like tropical coconuts, but this one is so good that it defies my preferences! To say I love this would be an understatement! It just smells like the beach! It is so salty and I love it! Reminds me of being at the ocean! It is the perfect blend! Writing this review reminded me I need to go grab some more! It is the perfect balance of scents, and it used to be my go too! Great value for your money! My only complain is that I wish it was just ever so slightly more coconut leaning (Crazy, I know!), but this is me searching for an issue with the scent! 10/10 would recommend!

One of my all time favorites from B&BW! It’s a lovely, soft, toasted coconut scent with vanilla and solar floral notes! A really beautiful and refreshing beachy fragrance. It’s also not one of those coconut fragrances that has a sun tan lotion like scent. I own the fragrance, body scrub, body wash, body lotion, and sea salt hair mist! I love pairing it with some of my other beachy favorites like Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Replica Beachwalk, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, JHAG Vanilla Vibes, and JHAG Lust for Sun! It’s soft enough to not overpower them, but it also pairs really nicely with them!

This is the ultimate sunscreen scent. The coconut and floral combo is just magical, it makes for a lovely fragrance. The coconut is toasted and not sweet. The bergamot is fleeting, and the salt note enhances everything! I wish they made this in an eau de parfum, but a girl can dream! P.S this is the best coconut fragrance I have ever tried. No vanilla, no fruit. Just a beautiful coconut and floral composition. I can't get enough of this! Update: I go through this scent really quickly. The fragrance is so addictive and warm, however, I wish it were stronger! This scent could be like 30% stronger. Just saying.

This is my third summer in a row repurchasing the At the Beach body spray and the entire Bath & Body Works line and honestly, that says everything. I genuinely can’t go to the beach without bringing this with me. It’s easily one of my all time favorite scents from BBW. To me, it smells like pure coconut, but in a way that’s light, bright, and super fresh not heavy or overly sweet. It’s not the longest lasting on its own, but pairing it with the body wash and body butter definitely helps with longevity. I tend to go through two bottles every summer.

This is one of my favorite scents from B&BW. I use it every single day as my "at-home" scent since it is a body mist. Immediately, you will smell the coconut, vanilla, and summery feel of this perfume. Of course, since it's a body mist, it doesn't last very long, even though the smell is very strong when you first put it on. However, it is extremely refreshing, fun, and a very safe and fun choice if you want to feel like you're about to go out on a hot day! I love the smell of sunscreen, but personally, that isn't there for me, which is also okay.

This scent is the perfect summer scent. It's long lasting, but not overly powerful where you will be annoying to those around you. It's sweet and clean. I have a travel spray of this scent that I keep in my desk at work and it's a perfect work fragrance. I get lots of compliments on this. I think it's probably one of the best BBW scents to come out in a long time. I have to agree with the reviewer that said 99.9% of BBW scents the past few years have an underlying cheap musk fragrance and they all smell very much alike. This one is different!

I was SO neutral on this for the past (almost) year working at B&BW, and this past month or so it's become a new obsession out of the blue! It really is THE beachy fragrance-- not just summer, but THE BEACH. Sand, sun, sunscreen, and salty ocean air on the breeze that gives a little relief from the heat. Wearing it makes me happy... but also a little sad in a nostalgic sort of way, because I'm reminded of childhood vacations. Also sad because I'm not currently at the beach, and this scent really, really makes me wish I was lol

Yes!! I got the perfume version. I've reviewed the body spray. Well the perfume is slightly different. In the perfume i smell a salted lime and coconut water. Slightly sweetned. It's very breezy, oceanic and warm. As it dries down i smell tiare (not listed in the notes) and coconut husk. The lime dissipates after 15 minutes. The salt stays all the way to the delicious end:) it's so cold and snowy today . I've layered the lotion, body spray and perfume And this is making me feel uplifted .

I love this spray so much, it truly smells like a summery day! It's salty, with bits of coconut and sand. Although others around you may not be able to smell it, its pleasant aroma will make you feel better whenever you wear it. I think it's definitely worth a shot if you're into lighter, breezier, more subtly sweet fragrances. (especially if it's on sale) It doesn't smell like the manly "ocean" colognes or anything, it's really just a sunny beach day with sunscreen and a pina colada.

Summer in a bottle! Depending on humidity, I find projection to be more prominent, lower humidity it sits closer to the skin. This smells more like a creamy coconut but is not too sweet, a good smelling sunscreen/tan lotion without the notes of 'zinc'. A friendly reminder of what is to come in the cold winter months. This smells to me like a creamy Coconut, sweet Frangipani flowers and a kiss of citrus and salt. One of my go to fragrances for summer and vacation.

This scent is fabulous! I can smell the toasted coconut, salty note, a lil bit of frangipani flower., it’s just perfect beachy scent to wear in a hot summer day. I feel like a bronze goddess when I wear this. Layered with my Palmers coconut monoi body oil and my beautiful fragrance Terracotta le Parfum by Guerlain makes it even more intoxicating and I do receive compliments. The longevity quiet good for a body mist and the sillage is also pretty good as well.

Perfect Summer scent. Has a nice coconut, suntan lotion smell. I layered the lotion and body spray with Maui Fantasy and loved it. Very tropical and warm together. Made me feel like walking down by the beach near alll the shops. Gave me that instant warm sun feeling. The blue bottle makes you think it’s aquatic... to me it’s not. The bottle should look like the lotion container with the White Beach foam flowing onto the warm gold sand.

Can a smell transport you to the beach? The answer is 'yes' and this is one of them! I bought the mist, cream and shower gel after a LONG time of telling myself I would and I do not regret that decision one bit. Goes on as a fruity coconut and dries down into something just a bit saltier, it has a 'warm' quality to it even when I sit in my air-conditioned house. I may be more a fan of fall scents but this is my go-to for the summer.
