Bahamas Passionfruit & Banana Flower

I don't know what a banana flower smells like, but this is SO PRETY. I love that they made a tropical fragrance that smells tropical without having the typical coconut or mango added in. It's very unique. Super juicy and edible. It's refreshing in the 90 degree weather we've been having. I can smell banana but mixed with floral nuances so I'm guessing that's what a banana flower would smell like:). I love it and it seems to last almost all day. I also managed to get the body cream since my mom picked it up for me along with another backup spray. She had no idea that I already own it so she knows me very well lol. I also have the diamond spray with the glitter. The lotion elevates the scent to even greater heights, considering it performs very well all on its own. I love having this in my collection. I hope they bring it back again someday.

i first smelled this in the body care last year and thought it was kinda off so i left it there. this year, i decided to re-smell all of the tropical scents B&BW brings back every year and this smelled soo good to me this time around. out of all the returning tropical scents, this one and pink pineapple sunrise were the only ones i picked up. it’s very fruity and tropical from the passionfruit, slightly green with a different fruitiness from the pineapple leaves, and just a touch of a banana scent from the banana flower. i really love that this isn’t overly sweet so it won’t get cloying in heat&humidity and there’s no coconut! so many tropical scents feature a heavy coconut note and it just gets a little redundant. the longevity isn’t great but i don’t mind reapplying since the scent is so uplifting and never gets too heavy.

I got this first in candle form last year, and when I saw it was recently re-released in a whole line of products this year, I grabbed a small travel spray just to see. It's a nice, easy to wear, and gives tropical vibes without throwing a piña colada in your face. It's also not too sweet, which is nice as it doesn't get too cloying or overwhelming in the sun and humidity. I also don't mind the lack of longevity with this, as I prefer that with scents I would wear in the summer. Definitely one I would recommend from B&BW, and fairly unique to the pile of mango/pineapple/coconut scents they release in the spring/summer.

Yay! This got added! Thank you @butterbean for letting me know! I love this one. It's light, but not terribly fleeting like a lot of other BBW mists. The banana flower note is amazing, and I feel so lucky to have tried it! Fragrantica only has two scents with this note in the whole database. It's definitely the most prominent note, along with a splash of passionfruit and a bit of pineapple leaf. It doesn't smell like pineapple or banana, though. It's a green tropical scent and it's very unique, unlike anything I have ever smelled! I got myself two bottles and all the body care products. Love it!

This is a beautiful refreshing mist! I recently blind bought this and this is a really good blind buy! Coming from An Asian American with Southeast Asian ancestry it smells a lot like banana flower(We have it in soups, we have a tree and it’s very close to that smell;amazing !).It has that green waxy faint banana smell. And the pineapple is more dominant than the passion fruit note. This is a very simple, interesting, well executed fragrance! If you love green tropical notes don’t be afraid to try!

Smells great. A yummy fruity tropical fragrance WITHOUT THE COCONUT. Yay!! Not a huge fan of the smell of coconut and almost everything described as tropical or Caribbean has coconut thrown in for some reason. This smells of pineapple leaf and banana flower. I love it for a simple scent on a simple day where you just want to smell edible and lively.

One of my favorite bbw scents! Smells like a sweet tropical cocktail 🍹. The banana is there, the passion fruit is there- The two are blended together so perfectly! After spraying the mist, I immediately thought of givenchy Amarige perfume, which i have. They smell similar. Amarige is just a bit sweeter. The best layering duo!

I bought this fragrance the first year it came out. It’s creamy, fruity summery goodness. The banana note is my favorite. It’s a really fun, flirty fragrance, perfect for hot days or even wearing it at bedtime, just to smell good before falling asleep. Hopefully we will see more banana fragrances from BBW in the future.

Smells incredible, a tropical drink that when layered (lotion, and body mist) will last 6-8 hours with moderate projection. I’ll repurchase if they bring this back an easy sexy sweet summer fragrance ❤️❤️❤️.

@CatOwned If you get the body butter and layer it with that, trust me, it'll LAST! I have the whole set and if I use the body butter with the mist, it lasts nearly all day.

This fruit combo would be really sexy on a super confident man (maybe layered with something else like kurkdjian grand soir) It has a nice unisex scent in my opinion. ❤️🔥

This was one I didn't expect to like as much as I do. I'm not a big fan of pineapple in fragrances but it's done well here. I get the pineapple for sure but it's well balanced with the other fruity notes and smoothed out with a slight banana undertone from that very rarely used note of banana flower. Not that it smells like bananas though. It's tropical fruit and summer in a bottle. It's like a super sweet, almost candy-like, tropical drink. This is one you pull out in summer or bring for vacations for daytime wear and causal evenings. Not necessarily a "perfume" smell, but it is a really yummy gourmand type of scent. I hope they bring this back every summer because it's fall now and it's out of stock.

I'm late to the party, but this is so nice! I didn't honestly expect to even like it this much, but it's one of B&BW's better tropical scents (IMHO). It's kind of a green scent and doesn't fit the packaging to me, but that's ok (though I do love when scents match the bottle). It has a flowery, smooth tone. Yes, it says "banana flower", and that's accurate as far as I'm concerned because it isn't necessarily a true *fruity* banana. It decidedly vacationy. That's about all there is to report. Longevity&sillage aren't great, but it's a summer release from B&BW...so it's not as if anyone expects greatness. It's simple, pretty and fun. 🌴 ⛱️

Tried it for the first time yesterday and it’s a nice tropical fruity scent. It layered really well with my Saltair Exotic Pulp( which is guava heavy) and Fursan White( which is creamy vanilla coconut). It doesn’t smell like Maui in à Bottle to me, but it certainly would complement it in a layering routine. I have Maui in à Bottle along with Maldives in à bottle, and I think they could both be worn with this because of the tropical banana note. I’m not a à big fan of fruity fragrances but I’ve been trying to find some that I like and this one is good.

The notes listed are very accurate imo. I blind bought it and I’m very happy because it smells even better than I imagined. The banana flower really brings something special to this fragrance as you can really distinctively smell it. It’s sweet and yummy but with something a bit different than other summery scents from BBW. I LOVE it and for such a cheap price I feel like it’s a must buy.

I know Bath & Body Works is well-known for having NO basenotes, or WEAK ones... but I like Bahamas. A simple tropical fragrance without any coconut, it definitely makes me think about island life. I am a guy who won't wear this to work or anything, but I enjoy it around the house. It puts me in a good mood.

It's a great sporty mist because it lasts about an hour and is gentle. I get 90% banana flower with a bit of sour juicy pineapple. It isn't sickly at all. It is mellow and medium sweet. It transports me to a happy tropical place.

such a beautiful, floral yet juicy tropical scent, but the longevity is dreadful. such a shame because the scent is just gorgeous and so versatile. also one of the rare ones both my mom and i love - we never agree on any scents.

A nice banana smell. I got it because banana is underrated as a note. Predominantly passionfruit with a kind of greenish banana in the background. I like waikiki coconut more but I do like this as well.

Very nice floral tropical scent with a prominent banana flower note (not to be confused w/banana fruit). A bit of passion fruit with some green notes of pineapple leaf. Love the dry down of this.

Makes you feel pretty on a summer day. 💕 not too sweet, not too tart. Beautifully blended happy medium, a tropical fruity floral. Love it.

I oversprayed this at 7am and I'm still smelling it at 1pm. I am so shocked this actually last that long.

Kind of reminds me of the scented detangling spray I had when I was little.

I'm not sure how I feel about this being a scent for me. However, this smells so much like Barbie, the toys. Idk how else to describe it. Like pulling a mermaid barbie fresh out of the box and combing its hair. I dont hate it, just don't know if I can wear it lol.

Dry down is great, but I’ve had people tell me that it smells like rotted apple/ apple cider immediately after spraying and I’d agree

A 7/10 for me. Pretty tropical but I don't really get any passionfruit note here, the banana flower tbh was quite too much

In the lotion- you get more passion fruit In the mist- you get more banana flower

i tried the lotion in-store and bought the mist online as the staff member said they smelled the same. they do not. i loved the lotion but i borderline hate the mist. theres something really yummy and creamy and fresh about the lotion however the spray gives me a headache. im really disappointed but im planning to just gift the bottles to others as i think it could be well liked by some people i know. its just not for me and ill return for that lotion one day instead.

as first spray, its very overwhelming and lowkey stank, but after it settled down nicely on my emoji sock it was actually pretty good!

The opening is intense tropical, generic maybe, then quickly the floral notes become more dominant and it smells so unique. This is like a non aquatic, more feminine Set Sail St Barts, in that genre at least. Smells tropical without any coconut note/coconut scent and I love the sweet ethereal floral scent of the banana flower, it is pink/yellow in my mind as I smell it. I do get a subtle banana and pineapple scent as I smell my arm. Im a little tired of coconut in perfumes, so this is ideal for me. The passionfruit here is deep, sweet and green like the passionfruit of Escada's Fiesta Carioca. Nothing sickly sweet though as opposed to that (or even BBW Daydream which is a dupe for Fiesta Carioca). This is a unique scent and one spray of the mist lasted strong 3 hours on me. I think BBW keeps creating amazing and unique scents, to mention my top favorites: Magnolia Charm (divine, unique white floral), Almond Blossom (one of a kind), Pink Cashmere (weak but amazing), Brown Sugar & Fig (like a warmer Katy Perry's Indi), Cashmere Glow (bubblegum on my skin then ambery goodness).

The banana flower in this is what made me excited to try Daisy Wild. Honestly, I think Bahamas is better (and I'm a fan of Daisy). Bahamas (the lotion form + spray) is somehow deeper, richer AND more fun to wear. Of the myriad tropicalish summer fragrances from BBW every year, this one feels special. The lotion + body spray hangs around, too. Update: I applied the lotion and realized why it smells so special: there's a raw/brown sugar note in there. The sugar note has a "crunchy" crystallized feel, very reminiscent of the bowls of raw sugar for sweetening coffee that I remember from living in Central America. Works so well with the banana flower and feels so transportive.

I'm not usually into tropical scents as I get tired of them pretty quickly. Something about this scent though keeps enticing me. It's very sweet, juicy and yes tropical, but thankfully there is nothing sunscreeny or fake coconut here. I really get the passionfruit and I guess banana flower... something floral but not a heady or screechy floral. This makes me think of a hot pink and orange sunset on a tropical vacation and you're enjoying a fruity cocktail and decked out in a tropical printed maxi dress and sandals. This is fun and sexy and not too serious. I can't wait to pair this with Hempz Floral Banana body butter.

Bananas and passionfruit are such unique notes, B&BW is impressive that they created this..it starts with the juicy tart passionfruit scent and then develops into natural smelling ripe bananas! Dry down is a sweet melody of both notes and i detect vanilla and some soft floral note as well along with hints of juicy pineapple. Simply delicious. Too bad it was a seasonal scent. They might bring it back but it will be watered down as always.

I swear I smell this on at least one person every day when I'm walking to class on my college campus. I always thought the notes were more floral and musky before I went to B&BW and made the connection that this is what I was smelling. It kind of gives me a headache but it's beautiful. Smells like a middle-aged blonde woman who tans, chews spearmint gum, and is way hotter than her husband. She has a big purse, too. 7/10 :D

I picked this one up for my daughter. It is a lovely, LIGHT summer beachy scent (and as others mention, not really ANY coconut in this one!). I agree with others, it's definitely a skin scent. But I also like that it is unique and very beachy/summery/happy IMO! It's not "too much" of anything, and I really enjoy that about it. And my elementary student can spray away without over spraying it seems 😉

Whoever compared this to Amarige, I can totally see the comparison. It smells like that kind of an early 90s floral. So much so that when I tested it, I was flooded with memories of women who used to wear it. I’m not smelling any of the notes actually listed for it.

This is a very pretty smell! It smells like tropical fruit without that annoying coconut smell that's so common. My only complaint is that this mist is extremely weak with no lasting power, and most BBW mists seem to have more lasting power on me for some reason.

I pretty much only get photorealistic passionfruit from this. No other notes. Performance is as you'd expect from a body mist - you can smell it for the first hour, then it becomes a skin scent.

The hand sanitizer for this scent is amazing. It smells like the most delicious thirst quenching tropical cocktail. The scent lingers and leaves a trail, unlike the ffm and other forms.

Agree with the reviewer below me, I also don't like tropical scents but this one is very nice. Clean and sweet, lasting power is good compared to most bbw sprays

i like this, it has kind of a sour smell to it but it is a nice tropical scent! i wouldn't buy this again but i will enjoy the bottle of this while i have it!

The new 2022 version is super water down My 2021 last all day even the shower gel I can smell on my. Skin for hours
