Be Joyful

I was wondering when this fabulous fragrance would be added to the database and here it is. It's discontinued, now, sadly, but it is one of my favorite perfumes from B&BW. I didn't care for the cap when I first saw it many years ago, too kitschy, but the juice is fantastic. It's a fruity, floral, gourmand scent but fresh and uplifting from the zesty Clementines. Layered with BBW Mad About You lotion and the scent lasts all day.

I had a full bottle of this in a lotion stashed under my bathroom sink. I’d forgotten this entirely. Found it just in time to wear on this bitterly cold day. I layered it with Jimmi Choo Jimmy Choo. Amazing combination for me. It’s so freakin sweet my tiniest dog hopped on my chest and proceeded to try to lick it off of my hands! she quickly realized it didn’t taste like it smells, she continued to lick her lips.

I used to wear this back in the summer of 2016. It's a fruity, slightly tropical fragrance with a big dose of sugar thrown in. I can't smell any jasmine or white florals. It's bordering on gourmand for me. Just delicious juicy fruits plus sugar. It works for day and night and any time of the year imo. It's not too heavy nor too light that's why I reached for it all the time. Love it!

It’s not a terribly complex scent but I can’t think of anything else like it either. Maybe Gingham? It’s very sugary sweet with some citrus. Also, it’s easy to wear everyday and inoffensive to most. I’m surprised this scent never came back.

Full notes: A joyful blend of fizzy clementine, frosted jasmine & shimmering sugar. Additional notes include winter melon, mango, honeysuckle, dulce de leche and amber. I used to collect the perfume mini's they created for their holiday scents. I stopped because I found that I didn't like a lot of them. I ended up giving them all away except for this one and vanilla rum. I like this one because it's very fruit forward. Lately bath and bodyworks has been creating many fruity floral gourmands that are indistinguishable mashes covered in a synthetic musk. I like their scents where you can smell a particular part of the scent a lot more than others like cucumber melon, country apple, or vanilla bean noel. They do fruity scents in particular pretty well. You can tell bbw had a hand in here with a little bit of the musk, but otherwise it almost smells like an escada scent. I get a strong clementine and mango that is juicy and sweet. It has a slightly floral fuzzy warm musk in the back ground. The florals are too generic smelling to pick out for me. Overall, I like this one. Fruity and fun!

I have worn this perfume forever and I've gotten complimented on it so much! Doesn't last the longest, but it's perfect to spray on clothes or near my hair. Haven't found anything quite like it – it's perfectly sweet with a hint of citrus but not too gourmand on me. I will forever love this perfume. Something I could wear every day that isn't overpowering

I love Be Joyful! It’s a sweet, youthful and fun winter fragrance. However it really is a holiday time fragrance and I personally don’t think it would fit anytime outside of November/December. This definitely limits how often I can wear it but I enjoy it when I can.

I wore this for 3 months back in Feb-May, and it's one of the only FFMs that I've used completely up. It has an innocence about it that makes it perfect for any occasion, yet an effervescence that gives it a little sparkle! It's an "extroverted" fragrance but it's not heavy at all, and the sugar isn't cloying. There is a lot of clementine in here and it's very noticable on the top. Clementine, sugar, and a little bit of white floral is exactly and exclusively what it consists of, but sometimes it's all you really need. My daughters loved this so much on me that I bought them both a bottle. It's ageless and can be worn by the very young or the very old. Even though it's a holiday scent, it could really be worn all year and none of the notes clash with any season. It's one of the rare truly universal fragrances.

Be Joyful is a sweet fresh citrus through and through. At first it’s a sparkling sweet citrus like a juice then it becomes more creamy like an orange crème brûlée.however it’s too simple (I don’t get the jasmine) and too weak in performance. The perfume is slightly better than the mist but still weak and so not worth the price difference. The cap is so over the top and it actually jingles! However there’s nothing outstanding or Christmasy about it, but it’s pleasing overall.

This fragrance is very Joyful, Very bright. You get the orange right off the bat which will give you a little burst of brightness. It's tart, but it turns sweet. It doesn't have huge projection, but it doesn't require you to put your wrist to your nose to detect it either. On me, it lasts for 4-6 hours, with hunts being able to be smelled if you get up close after that. If you like fruity, but not overly sweet, I would give this a 7 our of 10

I absolutely love this fragrance, so sad i can’t find it anymore specially in my country. It’s a fruity-sweet kinda fragrance but not at all suffocating. Some people say it’s almost a gourmand but on my skin it didn’t performed like that.

-Generic out-of-the-shower scent. -Rather nondescript scent once the initial blast of alcohol dries down. (-)
