Beach Nights

I did previously review this, but thought I would post an updated review of it since I happen to be wearing it today. Truly one of the very BEST marshmallow fragrances ever, along with Yum Boujee Marshmallow!😍 Sweet, fluffy, powdery, salty, marine, fresh, woody, feminine, sensual, flirty, playful, charming, whimsical, dreamy, delightful, uplifting, cheerful, yummy, addicting, inviting, cozy, comforting, nostalgic This is such a charming and delightful fragrance! It’s a sugary sweet and fluffy vanilla marshmallow with just a touch of chocolate, but it also has a lovely and unique twist with a fresh, salty ocean breeze and marine scent, as well as a soft woody scent of driftwood. These notes combine to create the impression of roasting marshmallows at a bonfire on the beach. This is very well done, especially for a BBW mist. It’s super fun and yummy, but also very wearable. I’ve had this for quite a few years, I think I got it during the summer of 2016. I have the bottle with the blue and yellow stripes, although I don’t see it here anywhere, I think it must be the OG version. This is one of the best fragrances that BBW has done! I honestly can’t imagine anyone actually truly disliking this fragrance. It’s just super pretty, yummy, and easy to wear, and surprisingly versatile. This is actually a kind of unique fragrance. It’s not just a sugary sweet marshmallow scent, but more. The balance of the sweetness of the marshmallows and vanilla with the salty marine scent and woody driftwood is done really well. It smells delicious enough to eat, but you’re still getting that bonfire and marine scent too. I definitely highly recommend trying it if you’re a fan of marshmallow fragrances. It would be hard not to enjoy it. I get the similarity to JHAG Vanilla Vibes because of the salty and marine scent swirled with powdery vanilla. However, Beach Nights also has the addition of sweet and fluffy marshmallow, diriftwood, and a touch of chocolate. I’m a huge fan of both marshmallow and vanilla fragrances! So, for reference, some of my other favorites include Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow, Vanilla 28, The Wedding Silk Santal, Kayali Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato, GdT Celeste, PDM Oriana, Kilian LDBS, Princess, YSL Black Opium Le Parfum, Black Opium Glitter, D&G The One Desire, The Only One Intense, Pour Femme Intense, JPG Classique Pin Up, Pink Sugar, Skylar Boardwalk Delight, JHAG Vanilla Vibes, Commodity Milk, Ellis Brooklyn Marshmallows, Phlur Heavy Cream, VS Vanilla Lace (OG), BBW Boardwalk Marshmallow Clouds, Cotton Candy Clouds, Fireside Flurries, Bonfire Bash, Whipped Honey & Vanilla I actually get great performance with Beach Nights (possibly because I of the older formula), and it’s even better if I pair the lotion with it. The longevity is very good, it lasts 7-8 hours on me. The projection is nice, it radiates out probably around 2 feet from me.

Sweet, fun, flirty, yummy, warm, happy, nostalgic, powdery, dreamy, slightly salty and marine, and a subtle woody scent. This is such a great fragrance! It definitely makes me think of roasting marshmallows over a bonfire on the beach! I get lots of sugary sweet, powdery marshmallows, and warm, rich vanilla. There’s a hint of salt, the kind that brings to mind a warm ocean breeze and adds a touch of a marine scent. I also get a bit of a woody scent from the driftwood which makes me think of a bonfire. Together, the salt and driftwood bring to mind that beach bonfire feel, but it’s more in the background... the sweet marshmallows and vanilla are the most prominent and what the fragrance is centered around. I see that chocolate is listed in the notes, but I don’t pick up on it. It smells super good though and I love it! This is actually a kind of unique fragrance. It’s not just a sugary sweet marshmallow scent, but more. The balance of the sweetness of the marshmallows and vanilla with the salty marine scent and woody driftwood is done really well. It smells delicious enough to eat, but you’re still getting that bonfire and marine scent too. I definitely recommend trying it if you’re a fan of marshmallow fragrances. It would be hard not to enjoy it. I get good performance with Bonfire Beach, especially when using the lotion and mist together. The longevity is nice, about 6-7 hours on me. The projection is decent too, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me. I have grown to really like this scent in such short time! I purchased this at semi annual sale and immediately loved the opening. It reminded me of something from my childhood that I can't quite put my finger on. I only have the mist in this scent and I am fine with just that, since everything else in this set smelled a little weird to me. I love layering this with my hot cocoa and cream body cream. I find that it brings out the cocoa scents strongly and makes the scent last a lot longer than usual. It also takes away from the weird, salty dry down. Like I said, my favorite part about this is the opening. I don't know what it smells like, but it smells good. Longevity is okay, not terrible. Like I said, layering this with a strong lotion makes it last a lot longer. Overall, I really like this. I feel as if I can wear this in hot weather and not feel "weighed down" (or maybe I am just a gourmand lover since I am wearing this in the Cali heat wave). I got this in June and I'm halfway done with the only bottle I have, with my huge mist collection, that says a lot. I really hope they bring this back in the Semi Annual and Body Care Day sales. I need to stock up.

After all this years this is still my favorite B&BW scent ever made. It's so different, so sweet but a bit salty at the same time. Marshmallows, vanilla, chocolate, salt, it has to be the most unique Vanilla I've ever had and not something you would smell on every corner by ever brand out there. I can totally see some people not liking this because it's not a simple sweet marshmallow vanilla, but since it's a similar scent to Bonfire Bash (imo), the people who dislike this should give Bonfire Bash a try. That one is a lot safer blind-purchase. Anyway, sadly this mist is not strong at all. I love to layer it with my old blue bottle lotion of Beach Nights, because btw the 2022 lotion is entirely different and smells nothing like the OG at all. I wish B&BW would make a stronger version next time, or even offer a perfume version which I would wear like every day. Scent 10000/10 Longevity 3/10 Projection 2/10

I just picked up a trio today at B&B Works...I think it smells soft & pretty with a hint of the beach-ocean, but in the driftwood/salty air kind of way...it is not a “coconut or suntan lotion” vibes scent at all. Honestly...as far as the scent goes, imho, it’s just not that big of a deal. Like most BBW products & for $14 or less it will probably be gone within 3 hours or less. On my skin i don’t get chocolate or gooey sticky caramel anything. If you enjoy Mariah Cary's "M" perfume, you would probably like this. In fact, I plan on using the body cream with M to give it a longer lasting base. I smell a bit of incense, some toasted marshmallow, driftwood, salt, some vanilla & soft white florals. Nothing ground breaking, probably fun to layer with, to wear to bed to feel cozy, or just to know you smell “soft & pretty” & won’t offend anyone. (It’s very light). Cheers!

This is literally the first B&BW fragrance that took me back to the nights when my family and I went camping - us kids would be running in the sand having so much fun chasing each other, while in background the music is playing and the adults can be heard laughing & singing. When the waves crash on shore, you smell the salt water in the air, mixed with the slightly burnt marshmallows scent that’s roasting on the campfire. That’s what this scent does to me - take me back to the good old days. I will forever - well, for as long as possible - have this in my collection. For a bold scent, I like to layer this with By The Fireplace, Coffee Break or The Only One. For a softer scent - JHAG Vanilla Vibes, Love Don’t Be Shy or Signature.

ahhh, what can I say. this is my favorite bath and body works scent EVER. IT'S SO DELICIOUS. It smells like an ethereal marshmallow fairy. it is so fluffy, pillowy, and dreamy lol. It's honestly mesmerizing. I wish I could find a perfume equivalent of this. I am almost done w/ my OG mist and it is still potent and delicious. I have 2 back ups of this scent and I really hope it returns again in the future bc I need it in my life forevsss :) also this is a huge compliment magnet. I put this on around my best friend and she was like "OMG whatever you just put on smells so good". She kept reaching for it the rest of the time at my place. She mentioned that is smelled very sweet and clean in the air

I just wanted to mention that if you love Beach Nights, or missed out on it, and want something similar, then I highly recommend checking out Coastal Dreaming! I have the EDP of CD as well as the mist and lotion of BN, and they’re actually pretty similar! I compared them side by side (one on each wrist), and The biggest difference is that CD lacks the chocolate and marshmallow notes, and the vanilla is just subtly softer. They both give a very similar vibe, and they’re both gorgeous fragrances! Plus, Coastal Dreaming comes in an EDP as well as the rest of the body care products, so if you’ve been wanting a stronger version of Beach Nights you may be happily surprised with Coastal Dreaming!

After many many many years of using Beach Nights, 10 years to be exact, there's finally an EDP version (dupe) of it. An actual good one. Not a cheap smelling dupe, not a bad dupe, not one that smells literally like oil (like the Dirty Soul Soap dupe which was awful). The DUA Brand finally made justice to all Beach Nights fans after B&BW keeps skipping it every single year. The name of the perfume is Moonlit Beach and it's RIDICULOUSLY good! It's 100% spot on, like literally 100%. What a time to be alive! I can't believe I'm finally wearing a strong version of Beach Nights

This wears exactly how I hoped it would on my skin. Sniffing straight from the nozzle I only got some aquatic freshness and salt, but once it warmed up on my skin I get salt with gooey, melted marshmallow. No smokiness though. Its so bloody pleasant and I can definitely see where the hype is coming from. I can also see how other people's skin will bring out different notes, making it not smell the same to everyone. There's something so warm, happy and cozy about this while also having some extra dimension like how a perfume would have. Its SO good.

i just got this off Depop and i'm in love omg 🫧 in the beginning when I first spray this it smells like a beach night. literally. there's driftwood and salt, the beach breeze blowing in your face, with toasted marshmallows roasting in the fireplace. 🫧 as it settles down, I smell that smores accord. it smells more like marshmallows and graham crackers. 🫧 it just smells so good and I hope Bath and Body Works brings it back because i wanna match it with the body lotion or cream. if you like marshmallow, you need to get this! 🫶🏾

This combination is one of the most unique B&BW has ever produced. The toasted marshmallow smells so fluffy and creamy. I also get the saltiness the others mentioned here, along with the chocolate and a tinge of woodiness. Overall, it's such a cosy scent that I can use anytime. It lasts quite okay on me, but I still would love to have this last longer because the fragrance itself is so good and one of a kind. I'd give this a 9 only because the scent doesn't linger that much on me.

I'm a gourmand lover and really enjoy this scent. It's a nice soft chocolate-y Marshmallow with a hint of driftwood and sea salt that makes it leas gourmand-y and more perfect for a summer night!! I don't know why but I always get a melon note, similar to Summer Melody, and I have no idea why, but it works for me. Like any BBW product, the longevity is not amazing, but when I overspray on clothes, it does last. It's also very unique. I definitely would buy it again.

I've been wearing this spray for a long time, and it will never not have a place in my collection. This is one of the most perfect gourmands you could ever imagine. I am obsessed with it, and I have never gotten as many compliments on any fragrance I've ever worn as I have on this. I don't care how expensive it gets, I will always buy this. This is a true compliment getter and absolutely delicious. You will literally smell edible. I will never be without it!

Recently I have been on a Bath and Body Works spree and ordered Butterfly, Summer Melody and this perfume. This one is so dreamy. To me it smells like sweet powdery vanilla marshmallows upon first spray, and then I get the sea salt and driftwood in the dry down. Smells like a summer evening. Also kind of reminds me of Cheriosa 71, if you have that you will enjoy this.

This smells like I’m at the beach at night while wearing vanilla lotion and eating s’mores. Reminds me of summer nights at secluded beach spots on Long Island, either Huntington Bay Or Babylon area. If you know you know. Maybe a little of the incense I use to burn to keep the mosquitoes away, Egyptian a goddess, musky. I layer this with my beloved Sun Di Gioia.

I do not own the 2022 Version, but the one from 2016. To my surprise it is still amazing and smells sooo good. It just smells like toasted Marshmallow with a hint of water from the sea. It`s super long lasting despite it`s so old. This is to me one of the most perfect Marshmallow scents.

Salty marshmallow driftwood. It is the feeling of toasting marshmallows at a beach campfire without the smoke. It’s not overly sweet, it’s light, airy and lovely for everyday summer. If you don’t like gourmand notes you might still enjoy this scent because of the airy driftwood & salt.

This is probably one of my favorite scents from Bath & Body Works. It's a light, airy, salty take on toasted marshmallows. It's a scent that can be worn during the day, or to bed. This is more of a cozy fall and winter fragrance, and less of a summer fragrance as the name suggests.

Out of all the ice cream flavors, I find Cookies & Cream to be the most overrated... but this is exactly what Beach Nights smells like on me and it's comforting AF. Been wearing it to bed to feel extra cozy. Didn't think I'd join the hype and now I hope to stock up. 🌛🔳🔲🔳🔲🔳🔲🔳 🌜

One of my favorites! I live in a country with more than 7thousand islands, a tropical country and may have the most number of beaches in the world. I leave near a beach, and this fragrance mist is perfect for spending nights with the sound of waves.

Absolutely love this fragrance. It is the BBW version of Clean Reserve Skin. I get some chocolate when it is first sprayed but that quickly dissipates. Nice light salty sweet scent. Not cloying in my opinion. BBW needs to bring it back!

My favorite scent ever from Bath and Body Works I’m completely obsessed. Although I’ll only wear it for summer I pull it out just to smell it. I overstocked because I must have it for summer for years to come!

Holy moly!!! This is a powerhouse sweet fragrance and it lasts on your skin and clothes for a very long time. I adore everything about it. It is so comforting and delicious. A+

By far my new favorite BBW scent! I am now getting backups so I can make sure I always have this scent in my collection. They need to bring this one back

My kids have this, and I've purchased this in the past for gifts. It's always been a huge hit, even among people who dislike gourmonds ("I hate sweet perfumes 😒"), this one has twisted a few boundaries. Typically what happens is someone will open it up and folks will go - "Oh wow!! That's good!", or, "That makes me hungry!" I've witnessed haters melt like smores within the aroma of Beach Nights, and completely fall in love with it 😆 This is oddly rich, thick, gooey and it has a burnt vanilla smell, particularly in lotion form. There are some See's candies that have caramel and marshmallow combined, and this reminds me of those. There's something gently salty here as well, creating an addictive sweet&salty combo. That while being slightly smokey sets this apart as one of B&BW's more unique creations, and it's one that doesn't get lost in the morass of recycled or slightly tweaked released that become redundant. It actually lasts and projects decently. If this were an EDP, I'm sure it would be beastly. As it's a mist however, it's not a gourmond monster, but you certainly get your money's worth with this one. I don't personally have this (I have "Vanilla Bean", not to be confused with Vanilla Bean Noel, that contains the same burnt vanilla tone) but I've known others to quite literally hoard products, because this is a few people's ultimate favorite. I'm glad it's back for their sake 😊

This one reminds me of something from my childhood I can't quite put my finger on. I'm thinking it's something I had as a teenager probably. I mostly get Toasted marshmallows with a pinch of Sea salt and Grahm cracker with a bit of Vanilla and a hint of Chocolate. All perfectly blended. On my skin it pulls more of the toasty marshmallow and salty notes. This scent has made me fall in love with salty vanillas and I would have to consider it one of my signatures because I wear it soooooooo much!

i got this for free in a charity basket when i was in the hospital LMAO... i am not typically a fan of b&bw scents but this one is actually nice. it is a very sweet, marshmallowy scent with some saltiness when it dries. of course as a body mist it has poor longevity, but i use it to touch up throughout the day on top of my base perfume (glossier you). once it dries it does not have the cheap smell that blights many b&bw products.

One of my besties is unhauling a good amount of her Bath & Body Works fragrances that she never used and offered to send them to me! This is the first of three in the first shipment she's sent my way. It took a moment, but I like this a lot! A very yummy salt air and s'mores gourmand scent. I tried it by itself first, which was great, and then I layered it with Sweet Tooth and fell in love. Will be keeping this one!

Sweet warm but sharp scent. Another nice scent by B&BW. It's definitely still youthful and not nearly as sophisticated as some of their other scents, but also not nearly as simple and kiddish as Strawberry Poundcake for instance.

It's a quality marshmallow smelling fragrance. You can't go wrong with picking up a quality marshmallow smelling fragrance to add to your collection. Doesn't exactly fit the name "Beach Nights" to me, though.

Beach Nights is good but not much of a complement getter for me when I wear this one.

This is literally just a toned down version of Merry Cookie! I don't like that scent at all, it's too headache-inducing. Beach Nights is a bit more tolerable. However, I still don't like it.

I don't get it. I must have gotten an old bottle or my chemistry is way f---ed up. I get ZERO marshmallow and that's the only thing I cared about getting. I don't even smell much vanilla. I get mostly the driftwood and some sort of floral that's apparently not even there. Almost like tiare flower I've smelled in other stuff. I wanted to love it so bad because all the reviews were so good for it, but it just stinks on me. I don't even want to sell it. It's got to be me or a bad bottle. I don't believe that this many people are wrong so don't not buy it because of my review. I don't know anything. But don't feel alone if it doesn't work for you either. The search continues for the perfect marshmallow scent. I have Demeter's Marshmallow OIL coming. I hear the oil lasts longer. I know the spray would last no time on me. Nothing lasts on me unless I bathe in it.

This is very faint, that alone turned me off because a soft body spray can only promise you a huge disappointment if you care about longevity. Sometimes this smells like burnt marshmallows, other times it smells like diluted pine-sol. When it starts to smell nice, you can barely smell it. This does not preform well, and it’s not a scent worth having. I’m returning this. I don’t understand people’s desire for this fragrance.

This was such a disappointment for me. Can't say the reviews didn't warn me about the ocean, sea breeze notes, but people were also raving about the supposed marshmallow note. Calling it one of BBW's best gourmands and stuff, which I'll come to the "gourmandness" of this mist later. This, till it's deep dry down, is first and foremost a salty sea breeze scent with some gourmand notes hiding behind the freshness. It gives ocean air and pool water for the longest time while you're wearing it. This is also quite salty, and the salt stays till the end. After halftime you finally get the slightest bit of creamy sweetness, turning this into a clean girl creamy scent for a bit there. Quite reminiscent of, but different enough to Clean Reserve Skin. It feels like the gourmand notes are fighting with the salty, breezy freshness to finally get their moment. Their moment, they only get in the deep drydown. Close to skin and clothes you finally smell a quite delicious sweet and salty chocolaty graham cracker smell. Something slightly roasted comes through as well, but it's faint and I wouldn't necessarily identify it as a roasted gooey marshmallow, sweet and caramelized (which is why I got this mist for in the first place). The graham cracker chocolate smell also reminded me of chocolate chip cookies, yummy, but the marshmallow was still missing for me unfortunately. For my personal taste the deep dry down + roasted gooey marshmallows should've been the main stars of this mist. They could've added some fresh-creaminess, but it really didn't have to be this dominant authentic fresh sea breeze note imho. It also pulled dirty sea water, pool water sometimes, not my cup of tea. I don't like aquatic notes in my gourmands. Also, the roasted note in this also pulled cigarette smoke on me sometimes, smelled dirty, a no go. I don't know, this just wasn't for me. The packaging is stunning. I love BBW's bottles with the goldish nozzles. Also how they spray.

smells like Skin clean reserve generously sprayed onto a tester strip, except it’s been sitting on your nightstand for a day so you are left with a faint dry down that still smells really beautiful and addictive. almost like a paper scent diffuser haha. It’s fresh and clean ocean air but it also has a light white chocolatey sweetness that makes it so soothing. I picture I get it is: sitting on an empty beach with the waves splashing at your sandy feet. The sun has dipped below the horizon and the world has turned bluer and colder with only the sound of seagulls far away and slow crashing waves to accompany you. And you are there with the air and salt in your hair, savoring your last piece of white chocolate and enjoying this rare moment of tranquility and sweetness before it gets too cold and you must get up and leave. I’ve realized that I really enjoy this scent profile and I hope to get a full bottle of Clean reserve Skin soon. This review would be more fitting for that. But I think the feelings this mist evoked speaks for itself. This perfume smells like a place or a moment more than anything and I think that’s what make it’s so special Beach nights is a very fitting name. Side note: I find that putting ur nose right up to it brings out more of that cakey, almost artificial? vanilla that bath and body works uses in a lot of their other vanilla scents. I feel like it’s best to spray it onto your shirt and enjoy the whiffs u get of it as u go about your day.

I purchased the Beach Nights body spray because I couldn’t stop thinking about it after leaving the store. The smoky, powdery marshmallows mingling with the salty marine notes makes this a very intriguing scent profile. However, on the dry down the salty marine notes become more and more prominent, overtaking the sweet marshmallow, and it annoys me. It’s definitely an interesting offering from B&BW but I think I get sick of it because it has the same vibe as Mariah Carey’s M and Kenzo World Power (not because they’re dupes but because but that marine salty annoying note is present there as well). I think the best fragrance and the only one I’ve truly liked with that scent DNA is Olympea.

Another one of my favorites from Bath and Body works! I used to wear this in High School when I was a cheerleader too. Reminds me of the days when I would slather this on and then walk to cheer practice!lol This is more of a summery Vanilla than anything.Its very sweet, one of the purest vanilla scents I’ve ever smelled but it’s not just a vanilla scent this has a very strong marshmallow scent that I really love it’s different from other gourmand scents in my opinion. I also wore this to my high school graduation in 2022 so this scent has sentimental value to me! Love it and BBW needs to bring it back this summer.

I ordered the two creams online at BBW, they just came today. One had the top broke a bit, not sealed at all, the other was fine and sealed. That said, I like it. It's a nice little gourmand. Wish I could have got the fragrance mist also. I get sweet chocolate, vanilla and a creamy smell. It sorta reminds me of the Paris Hilton fragrance from the mid 2000's. So, will u se the lotions up, and see where I can find the mist. I like it, like being the key word here. Not offensive.

I have a few of these, the OGs. Kept well, dark cabinets, they keep forever. I get a green coconut with the marshmallow. Prob the Sea Salt. I have it on now, I'm waiting to see if it dries down to this good ol *Marshmallow* If you are looking, the Perfect Scents Marshmallow Cloud, I actually like a little better. If you like the deeper smokier, that Fireside S'mores (EEK, is that the name?) At Walmart, is the shakizzle.

The lotion and body cream of this are best versions of the scent to my nose. Less graham cracker and a bit more marshmallow and bergamot. Not a love enough to pay Mercari mark ups, but if B&BW ever brings this back, I'll def be buying several lotions. I put the body cream on yesterday afternoon, went bed, still caught whiffs this morning, and so could my kids.

I’ve been shopping at Bath and Body Works for 15 years, and this has got to be my favorite scent that they’ve ever released. To me it smells like an expensive hotel - perhaps it’s the sandalwood note. I hope there will be a candle form released soon.

This doesn't smell like "beach" anything but its really nice gourmand vanilla scent with just a hint of saltyness, thats more sophisticated than your basic vanilla offerings. I have a body cream and now want to get additional products in this line

This body mist smells so good but I think it’s been discontinued a good dupe for this is Bare Vanilla Sol and it lasts for a while

I would do anything to see this scent come back. I’m so careful with my backups because I love it so much!
