Bonfire Bash

So good??? Cozy???? Feels so comforting, I can't begin to explain why. It just works so well. Let's look at the notes: Bourbon vanilla, sandalwood, and cashmere musk. Very simple, right? Shouldn't even be interesting. But goodness, it amazes and it stuns. I actually hold an inspired-by of this, so might not be the exact same. Though this perfumer has a 90% hit in my opinion, so I trust their nose. From the initial wear, it's warm and smokey. I detected some balsam tones in it, which is interesting, because I wouldn't take this as a fragrance that would have balsamic nuances to it. Nevertheless, it elevated the experience and kept things as warm as the bonfire... "Does it smell like s'mores?" Not really. There is sweetness in it. But doesn't outright tells you there are marshmallows and chocolates at this outing. It's like there are maybe three to four people hanging around, sitting on the logs, but only two people are chewing on their toasted marshmallows occasionally. Someone brought graham crackers. The chocolates ran out because someone ate the rest of the only packet someone else brought. The rest of it is filled with chatting with each other as they all watched the bonfire, big enough to light up their faces, small enough to huddle close to it. If I smelled this on a person, I would think, "Bonfire Bash or Aries?" Kidding. Jokes aside, that is one interesting person. Would I chase them out a store they were in? Nope. If they were ordering a drink next to me, would I be interested in chatting with them? Maybe. Only if they don't mind. I love the smokey factor of it. It's great for layering under many perfumes that have a gourmand touch to it, to make it more cozy and less hyper sugary. Brings down the sweetness just a tad to make it more mature. But it does still leave that smokey trail, lingering around. I would say this is relatively aromatic. Definitely warm spicy, but in such a nice way. Men or women could wear this. If a guy wore this, I feel like I should find a way to make him smile. It ends by becoming sandalwood, a little bark-y. If I could get this perfume as a reed diffuser, I would be IN LOVE. And no, I don't really want a candle, but that'd be fine too. Every facets of this makes me happy. I want to get myself a man who smells like this, goddamn. I would be buried in his shirt. Screw the aquatic colognes or green-smelling thingamajigs — I would go on my knees for a person who embodies this. How do you find a person who is exactly the scent they could wear?? Anyways. I haven't actually tried Aries yet. I hope this line has reached a BBW near me because dear god, I will be fighting the person who's trying to get the last bottle, there's only ONE BBW IN THIS ENTIRE STATE, GRRRR. Then I will proceed to go insane in the reviews of BBW Aries. Hehe. :3 Edit: - Yeah, after reading the reviews here, @Thalianna is right: It does smell like an art room. The first time I sampled this, I thought it had a graphite-ish smell, but I kind of forgot to refer to my notes when I wrote the bulk of this. - Maybe it smells a bit marshmallow-y, but it's not something I sought out. Maybe I'm distracted by the intoxicating warm spicy. - Boozy vanilla? Not so sure about that. But if you were to put a bit of vanilla extract in the oven for a little while until you could smell it wafting out, then maybe. - The more I think about it, the more I'm reminded of a lotion I had, but I don't quite remember what it was called. It has that sandalwood after-scent, lingers woody and sweet to the skin. - I've been told by my local perfumer that Replica By The Fireplace smells like literal smoke. Like, if you want to smell like a forest fire, here you go. It's that strong, so they said not to spray too much of it. This one doesn't hold a wisp to that because this is sweeter. - I don't think I'd label this as a gourmand. But I could respect that. I don't really see it as a scent that smells like a certain food. It just smells like warmed reed diffuser vanilla and sandalwood to me.

*this is a review for the OG Bonfire Bash mist* Vanilla, powdery, woody, sweet, musky, warm spicy, balsamic, feminine, sensual, seductive, flirty, charming, whimsical, dreamy, delightful, inviting, cozy, comforting On me this is a sweet and powdery vanilla swirled with creamy sandalwood, and soft cashmere musk. I do get a marshmallowy vibe from this, although it leans more woody vanilla. It’s definitely giving sweet, woody, warm, and cozy fall vibes. Like being wrapped in your softest and warmest sweater while sitting around a campfire outside of a mountain cabin with a soft scent of toasting marshmallows It’s super pretty and cozy, and it’s definitely a very easy reach. It comes off as the perfect cozy fall/winter scent! I have a bottle of the OG mist as well as a newer version (I’m not sure which year it’s from, but it has a picture of a mountainside on it, I wrote a review previously for it.). While they’re still the same scent, they’re not actually identical. I was surprised to discover that there were differences, and that I preferred the OG. I initially hunted this and Fireside Flurries down because I was looking for something that smelled like their Marshmallow Fireside candles and hand soap, and they were both recommended by multiple people. To my surprise, although I really enjoy both of them, I actually slightly prefer Fireside Flurries because it comes across as more marshmallowy and toasted. I started out with the version that looks like it has a mountainside on it, but when I got the OG mist I was delighted to discover how much more I enjoyed it! Bonfire Bash does come across somewhat marshmallowy, but it also comes across as a woody vanilla. The OG version of Bonfire Bash comes across as a more smooth, creamy, vanilla marshmallow, while the newer version comes across as having a chocolate chip cookie vibe that sort of overtakes the lovely marshmallow scent, and it’s a bit more balsamic leaning. As for the OG mist, I have to say that I love it just as much as Fireside Flurries. There is a similarity to Replica By the Fireplace, although this is like a much softer version of it. As you may suspect, they pair really beautifully together. There are some similarities between this and Phlur Vanilla Skin, VS Bare Vanilla, VS Autumn Shore, SDJ Sundays in Rio. I see that Phlur Vanilla Smoke is also listed in the “reminds me” section, although I find that one to be way more woody, balsamic, and smoky without much vanilla, and zero marshmallow. Vanilla 28 is a much warmer and boozy vanilla with more depth, and Nest Vanilla Bourbon is lacking the woodiness as well as the vanilla marshmallow, and has additional notes of orange bitters and night blooming jasmine, so I don’t find it hard either to be overly similar. Sweet, warm, powdery, woody, musky, warm spicy/softly smoky, balsamic, feminine, sensual, flirty, playful, charming, delightful, inviting, cozy, comforting, nostalgic This one really surprised me. I’d heard it was similar to the Marshmallow Fireside, which of course doesn’t come in body care, so I had to try this. Yes, I do think it’s similar, but definitely not the same. I get the sweet and slightly boozy bourbon vanilla, the woody sandalwood which adds a touch of a balsamic scent and a very slight smoky vibe, the soft and powdery cashmere musk, and there’s something about this that’s giving a subtle chocolate too. It’s almost giving chocolate chip cookies. I wish I was getting a prominent fluffy marshmallow too, but the vibe is kind of there. It’s definitely giving sweet, woody, warm, and cozy fall vibes. This is absolutely one of those head-turning fragrances without trying too hard. It smells so delicious yet so rich and profound. Smokey and mysteriously captivating vanilla with a touch of cosy sandalwood and a comforting hug of cashmere musk. Divine and heavenly. I wish B&BW didn't discontinue such a special and immaculate scent. I've spent an entire year looking for a bottle and finally got one for only $7. I'm so happy since this is already discontinued. I probably will have a hard time finding a backup bottle, but I'll use mine sparingly for the time being. This one is top-tier when it comes to performance for a body mist. It lasts fairly long on my skin and clothes. I guess we're just compatible like that. It's like perfume disguised as a body mist. It also leaves a fair trail even without the body crème or lotion. This is best layered with any vanilla perfume for maximum longevity. The drydown lives up to its name as it smells exactly like bonfire roasted vanilla marshmallows. I can imagine myself being by the fireplace, too. I'm a freshie girl and this had me floored the first time I smelt it. Perfect for fall and winter. Definitely more than money's worth. One of my all-time favourites for sure.

I am on am on a bath and Bodywork binge. My heaven this reminds me of my beloved private room perfume 💜 I started out with this one Bonfire Bash 🔥 and wow it is absolutely gorgeous.🌸 I mean how can it not be with a slight smokey warm vanilla bourbon divooooooon yumminess ...and the creamy lush Sandalwood....and the soft feminine cashmere. 💜The top notes remind me of my favorite perfume Cocoa and Cashmere by Clinique but that scent does not last unless you apply most the bottle to your clothes , hair and skin, and the bottle is so very tiny compared to BWW huge 8 fluid ounce. My Bonfire Bash bottle is different than the one shown mine is 💗orangy pink and has little confetti bubbles all over it and the juice is pink. It has a a 💫✨💫glittery lid. Bonfire bash is a tad Smoky but nothing overwhelming on me its clean nothinh harsh...it is just so lovely. I got it for less than $14 on eBay. Its so scrumptious like a barbie doll head I used to have. Ohhh lala it's very luring and lasts 6 hours on my skin befo i reapply ..I can't wait to try others I also bought the Raspberry Jam 🍩 Doughnut. I'll review that one after I bathe. When I first got a whiff of By the Fireplace I was desperate to get it, but at the time couldn't afford a full bottle. Then when I came into a B&BW I sniffed a sample of this and to my surprise, it was astonishingly close to the original, almost an exact replica. I got the body mist, shower gel and body cream without a second thought. It should be noted, though, that Bonfire Bash is decidedly less smoky and much sweeter, you're getting more 'marshmallow' than 'campfire' comparatively (though the woodsmoke is still there). On top of this, of course, you have a much weaker sillage and projection from a body mist compared to an EDP (hence why I got the shower gel and cream to layer on). I can only hope B&BW re-introduces this scent come fall, else I'll have to resort to scouring Ebay for any remnants as frankly I am borderline addicted to this BTF dupe.

To me, personally, this smells just like a S'mores! I get the warm notes, marshmallow, vanilla. I can see how this is a hit or miss with others. I've heard it reminds people of a guy's smell. Or a burnt smell. Everyone nose and body chemistry is different. I have oily skin so this does great especially with the deeper warm evening notes. My mom however has dry skin and hardly sweats so cotton clean smells do better with her body make up. I definitely ADORE this scent for fall and winter! Find what you like :) As always if you don't like it Bath And Body Works has a 100% happiness guaranteed policy. Bring it back if you don't like it. Long as it looks new or well taken care of and more than half of the bottle is left. You can exchange form for form or price for price. Hope this has helped someone :)

Tbh in my opinion this is the best scent ever made by B&BW. I simply can't see someone disliking this. Probably the safest blind purchase for absolutely anybody. Any floral person, any fruity person, any gourmand person, any woman, any man, and even anti-gourmand persons will like this. It's simply RIDICULOUSLY good. A bit light in both projection and duration, but the scent itself is just ridiculous in the best possible way. I wish there was a perfume version of this, I would definitely spend $100 for it. Btw the lotion isn't the same, and so isn't the body cream. Also, someone said this is a dupe for Victoria's Secret Tease Creme Cloud. Absolutely disagree. They smell entirely different Scent 10000/10 Longevity 4/10 Projection 5/10

Bonfire Bash is one of my faves BBW scent. It's a cozy S'mores scent. If I had to choose between Bonfire Bash and Fireside Flurries, I will definitely choice BB any day. FF is a bit headache-inducing for me, probably because of the lavender and the added sweetness. FF is also a bit mroe cloying. BB is more liquor vanilla or smoked marshmallow/S'mores which smells cozier. Surprisingly, BB doesn't smell overwhelming to me. Bonfire Bash and Beach Nights are totally different. To my nose, Beach Nights smells almost the same as Merry Cookie but more tamed. BN is sweeter, almost cookie smelling and not marshmallow to me. I simply don't like it. If you don't like Merry Cookie or Christmas Cookies, you should give Bonfire Bash a try.

My favorite fall B&B scent, putting Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte in second. I don’t usually gravitate toward smoky scents, but wow, this one was done right in every way. First, there’s the warm, gooey marshmallow that sits below the cozy firey smokiness of a campfire. The vanilla bourbon is perfectly intertwined, a subtle and yummy, toasty, bourbon vanilla goodness. It makes me think of what a night in the fall of Stardew Valley would feel like. Dry down in order according to my nose is smoky vanilla, toasted marshmallow, subtle bourbon. I do detect the cashmere musk, my nose just tends to pick up more of the sweetness!

surprisingly long-lasting on my skin and clothes and I got unexpected compliments from my SO everytime I wear this (since ffm are often just skin-scent and i got quite a lot of BBW mist and perfumes, and he's only keen of a few ones) they say that this one is somewhat similar to Sweet whiskey, thats true but Bonfire bash has a mysterious and sophisticated depth that make this one so captivating. creamy, musky, marshmallowy, warm and woody (not too much) at the same time! just yum! btw, i mix this ffm with my Versace crystal noir EDT (powdery, woody, warm spicy,...) and oh god i smell amazing, just sm love

I have a sample of By the Fireplace and this is a bit similar, aside from the big price difference. Bonfire Bash is my favorite Bath and Body Works fragrance ever and it's so smooth and smoky, a darker vanilla and sweet woods scent. This is what a cozy autumn/winter day or night is to me in a bottle. I get great longevity and sillage with it, especially being a body mist - I can smell it on my clothing into the next day, on my skin for hours. Great for layering and affordable, even better when on sale. B&BW should put out a perfume of this. Thank goodness they brought it back from before.

I’ve gotten a compliment every single time I wore this fragrance. I even had some woman track me down in the store asking what I was wearing. Unfortunately this is now discontinued and bottles are going for a lot of money, fortunately I found another bottle on mercari for just $6. I love this fragrance! I wish B&BW would make this one of their main scents. It dries down to a yummy vanilla marshmallow on me with a hint of smokiness, it’s just perfect! One of my top fragrances I go for especially during fall/winter.

This fragrance gives a masculine edge to the traditional vanilla. The cashmere musk adds a powdery and slightly peppery scent and with help of the bourbon this fragrance leans more unisex as the spiciness of it masculinizes the vanilla. The name is perfectly fitting for this fragrance as it encapsulates the warmness of this scent and bonfire memories made in fall/winter nights. Still my no.1 fragrance till this day; was my signature fragrance and the only good thing I had in the 8th ring of hell (high school).

I bought a boxed lot of fragrances in an online auction, and this was included. Yes, it is a women's fragrance, yes, it decently feminine smelling, and yes, it's kind of a generic smelling sandalwood/vanilla/musk combo that's probably already been done a million times already... and I don't care. I love it. The only thing I don't like about it is that I got this bottle in the middle of SPRING, as this is a definite fall/winter fragrance. Oh well, maybe I can use it as an air freshener in my bedroom. :-D

This 100% smells like s’mores. This is liquified campfire s’mores. I would say it works all year round except for springtime. This works on summer nights. Not for a date night but more so for camping or hanging out with friends. Cozy autumn/winter scent. Unfortunately this one really doesn’t last very long on me. Or maybe I just go nose blind to it after awhile. I’m still gonna wear it though because it smells like freakin s’mores and I get compliments when I wear this from whoever can smell me.

This does not smell like Maison Martin Margiela By The Fireplace but it’s everything I had hoped By The Fireplace was going to be! By the fireplace has an extremely realistic burnt wood and roasted chestnut smell although I do somewhat get that burnt wood in this it’s toned way down and it’s more gourmand-cozy-sweet and way prettier. The notes are blended perfectly! This is much closer to Mix:Bar Vanilla Bourbon than it is to By The Fireplace

For the person below who wondered if Bonfire Bash was like Fireside Flurries: I have those two plus Beach Nights. I like it has the sweetness level of Beach Nights or Cotton Candy Clouds. Vanilla forward with a slight smokiness. Fireside Flurries to my nose is toasty/smoke forward with a stronger marshmallow note than vanilla note. Bonfire Bash is softer and prettier than Fireside Flurries on my skin, which pulls very strong smoke.

I love this so much! It was pretty much love at first sniff for me when it comes to Bonfire Bash. It's the woody note that stands out the most to me, followed by the marshmallow/vanilla note. Definitely a cuddly fragrance, it feels like whoever's wearing this acquires a comforting and trustworthy vibe. I would also say that out of all the BBW scents I've tried, this is one of the most long-lasting on the skin and clothes.

This is one of my favorite scents ever made by B&BW, and since it has always been light, I've then been using Vanilla Skin by Phlur and it has been great since they're very similar... UNTIL NOW! The DUA Brand just made their Bonfire Bash dupe and it's literally spot on and for a fraction of the price of the Phlur!! I am in loveeeeeeeee after so many years I can finally use an EDP version of Bonfire Bash 😭
