Brightest Bloom

I love this so much! Carnation is one of my favorite fragrances and this has plenty of carnation. I usually avoid LOV because some Lily of the Valley fragrances bother me but this one doesn't. So many reviews say it smells like Daisy or Daisy Eau So Fresh, but it does not! I hate Daisy and all its flankers, and I don't like the way actual daisies smell either. After seeing those reviews I just had to compare the notes in Brightest Bloom to other perfumes I've smelled to see what a better comparison would be, so I used the search by notes / my shelves feature of the database here and these are the other perfumes I like that all have carnation, LOV, jasmine, and cedar notes: Sun Moon Stars by Karl Lagerfeld, Opium YSL (the original 1977 one, which was one of the 2 fragrances I wore in high school; it obviously also has amber which Brightest Bloom does not have), Fleurs de Rocaille by Caron (Fleurs with the s, the 1934 formula, not the modern Fleur one), Fleurs d'Ombre Bleue by Jean Charles Broussard, and Gucci No 1 Parfum by Gucci. Take the cedar note off and the list expands to include Cinnabar by Estee Lauder (the other fragrance I wore in high school.) Haha no wonder I love this so much! It's a floral version of my favorite teenage amber perfumes. And of course the most obvious carnation fragrance of all time is L'Heure Bleue, which is one of my top 5 faves. Carnation was featured more often in vintage fragrances than in modern ones. That's why it is so special to find a carnation forward modern fragrance that has all the accompanying products: the lotions, the soaps, the shampoo and so on. If by chance I managed to find a vintage lotion the same age as some of my vintage perfumes I couldn't use it, it would have gone bad by now. Brightest Bloom is a treasure! I'm not out of it yet because I bought backups for my backups but I still hope they bring it back! For seasonality, I know most people are going to consider a floral to be a spring fragrance but carnation is the birthstone flower of January and my mom and I used to buy ourselves a bouquet of carnations every year for our January birthdays so to me carnation fragrances are winter fragrances. To me carnation is nostalgic as well as beautiful and I love this so much, and I've said that about exactly one other perfume ever, and it was L'Heure Bleue.

The notes are Lily of the valley, jasmine sambac, garden carnations & fresh cedar wood. This is a beautiful mixture of pretty florals. Very sweet, a bit soapy but more of an air freshener like floral. It has a fruity fizzy shampoo like sweetness to it at the initial stage along with the florals. Then it sets onto the skin a little & turns into a creamy floral sweetness. It's heavy on the florals so people with sensitive noses might find this slightly headache inducing. The dry down is magical to me. It turns balmy, creamy woods like. I was scared of the cedar wood in this fragrance but surprisingly it adds just the right amount of creamy touch that this fragrance needs otherwise it would have turned out to be a sharp fresh cut florals which i am not into. I would summarise this fragrance as a creamy, balmy floral. It's very creamy, very woodsy on the dry down. You have to like florals with a creamy woody touch to enjoy this fragrance. It's not a juvenile or fresh sweet uplifting floral, it's much more mature than that. A very spring appropriate scent. You can wear it as a casual day fragrance as well. It's very feminine & classy so you can wear it the day time wherever you want. This is pretty, pious femininity in a bottle. The projection is noticeable in the air. The longevity is extremely good. Given how bnb's new releases all have poor longevity these days but surprisingly this turned out to be a beast mode on my skin. It lasts for 5/6 hours on my skin without any reapplication. I am extremely impressed with this scent, not only the packaging is stunning, but the fragrance is stunning as well. I might need to use the shampoo & conditioner of this range, omg i want my hair to smell like this 🩷

This is drop dead gorgeous. I can't get enough of it. It's not the typical scent that you usually smell at bath & body works. It's so green, fresh and what's the word I'm looking for...balmy? It smells like a flower garden in the forest. It smells like what Snow White would wear when singing to the animals. This isn't even my favorite type of fragrance but there is something so hypnotic about it and I have been wearing it since I brought it home. wish I would have grabbed the body cream. I want the whole collection. If this is what Daisy smells like then I must have Daisy. This is the kind of floral that actually smells like fresh cut flowers. I used to have a ffm called May Bouquet when I was a kid and this has that same type of vibe. This is the most cottage core of the bath and body scents. The flowers are so pronounced that they almost smell sort of fruity. It's kind of tangy, a little woody, kind of shampooey (in a good way). It smells like flowers in the rain. The mist lasts a super long time on my clothes and skin. It's perfect. This gives me clean girl vibes and I hate the clean girl trend but I know some girlies on here are into that, so this would definitely fit your aesthetic. It also gives me whimsical, fairycore, witchy vibes which is more of my thing so a lot of different people would enjoy this. I usually go for gourmands and moody types but this has its own little mysterious allure going on that is irresistible. They need to make this permanent! They took my Luminous away and I'm still upset about it.

I love this product! I bought all the products to Brightest Bloom. The EDP version does not perform great if worn alone. When layered with the body cream and FFM, it lasted 4-5 hours. I even woke up to the lingering scent, which is rare since I sleep with perfumes every night. You are pleasantly aware of the scent bubble lingering around you when wearing this. Note* I own & compared all the fragrances that will be mentioned - with the help of my family. After smelling them side by side, we all agreed that it immediately reminded us of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, which happens to be one of our favorite fragrances. However, my daughter used Marc Jacobs Daisy this morning, and it smelled just like it - a younger sister to Chance Eau Tendre but a twin to Daisy. Comparing Brightest Bloom to Pink Lily and Bamboo. BB is more crisp, while Pink Lily is more of a soft floral, aquatic fragrance to my nose. In short, I do not think this is a rebottled fragrance.
