Brown Sugar & Fig

This scent was my fav from the SAS release this year, it's a nice creamy sweet coconut milk, but the fig notes add a slight depth to it. The fig is a little green, but the brown sugar balances it out. I wish it lasted longer but for the price I can't complain. If you like this, you'll probably like milk orchid from commodity and perfumerism! A lovely cozy milky clean scent!!

My first time trying this and I see what all the fuss is about! Edit: interestingly enough, i bought The Dua Brand’s dupe of the edp, but it seems the dupe is based on the old floral/green notes and not this more lactonic and creamy version. I hope B&BWs does a full line re-release with an edp to reflect the update in notes.

I love everything about this scent but the longevity, the smell goes away after 30 minutes. I'd do anything to keep the scent as strong as when I first sprayed it, looks like I'll just have to keep looking.

This is a beautiful and comforting scent! I think this could be worn year round. It is definitely a favorite from B&BW! :)

Motherly, clean lactone notes with softly browned sugar and waves of fresh date-like-figs. It’s like what i wish warm vanilla sugar came through with. Almost a green/clean/fresh scent like a box of dates or very ripe cut figs. Somehow sprinkled with browned, caramelized, yet not at all burnt or baked sugar. + Not sweet in a bakery way but a true more early 2010s non-cloying inviting sweet sugary scent. Milky and fresh without being condensed artificial sugar. from the fig carried by the coconut milk makes it comforting and motherly in my opinion. My mom swore she never wore this and maybe i’m mistaking it for Warm Vanilla Sugar but they’re not the same scent really. + The longer it sits on my skin the more milky and sweet it becomes, the fresh figs mellow down to an almost clean musk/ laundry tone carried with airy whisks of coconut skin and granulated light brown sugar, not dark sugar but very sweet, wearable, and moderately lastly, better on clothes.

Fickle figs. The fig note here is lovely smooth creamy with hints of green and earthy undertones but unfortunately lasts for 5 minutes on my skin. As soon as the alcohol evaporates the fig note dissipates with it. It however lasts a bit longer on my clothes and hair. I’m then left with a creamy sweet coconut pudding sprinkled with carmelized brown sugar on top. Delicious and comforting with just the right amount of sweetness. BS&F lasts a total of one hour on my skin and maybe two on clothes. I usually prefer this scent profile in autumn but since it’s very light I can use it on the rare occasion I crave a tropical scent in summer. I also use it to spray my clothes when I’m using perfumes featuring coconut (Crystal Noir, Terracotta, Born in Paradise etc). It will work well with orher fig perfumes as well but the only ones I have are Womanity and one from The Body Shop.

I don't have the newest iteration of this, I have the one before it and let me tell you how surprised I was to read that people have lasting power issues with it. Not on my skin! Figgy and only subtly sweet (in a dry way) and really, really lovely! Lasted all day on me and I kept getting whiffs of it (beautiful scent bubble.) Most definitely fig forward and even though I found the lasting power to be great, it's still what I would consider to be mild and understated. It's not an aggressive fragrance and doesn't slap you in the face. Quite enjoyable. This is an underrated gem for sure. It's much better than more popular Bath and Body Works sprays but doesn't seem to get the recognition it deserves. Smells high-end and expensive with some character. Layer this with Kayali Vanilla 28! A stunner of a combo! You won't be sorry.

Brown Sugar & Fig smells so good!!!! I love the drydown... That caramelized brown sugar really shines. It smells so good I can imagine actually tasting the individual sugar granules. I am so glad Bath & Body Works released this scent for the Semi-Annual sale. It gave me the perfect opportunity to try something with a fig note.

I get mostly coconut milk as top note with a hint of fig, the Brown sugar note serves as the base. First snif was not what I expected because of its name. You could compare it to a toned down, fresher sol de janeiro. I like it for summer on a hot day.

Honestly it smells like if Black Opium was a body spray when dried down, that's when the caramel and brown sugar really comes out. When you first spray it you get alot of coconut and fig.

BS&F, is slightly less rich and creamy now than it used to be. The new products are lacking the nearly maple syrup tone that this used to have, and it feels thinner. It's a bummer, because this was a unique and standout offering for a long time. I've already reviewed the older version so I won't go into deep detail, but this is an "adult" gourmond (although now, less so, as it feels more basically vanilla and akin to other stuff that B&BW peddles), with the fig and coconut pairing seamlessly together. It's hard to distinguish what is what, because they're very balanced. This new formula is more *milky* as opposed to *creamy*, if that makes sense to anyone, and it feels like they substituted the heftier brown sugar for more vanilla. Who knows? Maybe that's a good thing for your preferences, but I'm weary of the same vanillic stuff from B&BW and I'm dissatisfied with the new bottles. It's not special to me anymore. Still, there's something sensual about it...but it used to be even more evocative. After I'm done with my old stuff I'm letting BS&F go.

nondescript brown sugar and fig, quite literally. based on the notes, i thought i would love this so much more, especially given my fixation on tom ford's new fig fragrance, but i can't say it's earned a permanent place in my collection. the opening is exactly what it says it is, but as though you were smelling it through a sheet of paper of some sort. it quickly turns into something coconut-y, musky, and green, but i can't quite place my finger on it. i have the current 2025 version, but maybe in another life this was a truly perfect sweet fig scent.

This is the weakest scent I have in my collection (purchased at SAS in Dec '25). As others have said, lasts maybe 2 minutes. Bath and Body Works, what is the point!! I hope this is a one off and not the future of the brand cheaping out.

after dry down, i mostly just get brown sugar and coconut milk, almost no fig to be seen. i believe the only remains it leaves are some earthy undertones. it’s pleasant, but i really love fig notes, so i’d have loved to have more of it.

Notes : fresh ripe fig, coconut milk, brown sugar and velvety musk. OMG MUSK Galore YUCK!!!! 🤢 This review is for the mist. I am sorry to differ with what other people say but this concotion should have never been released. It's a musk galore, you can't smell anything else. It's a nasty blend of fig and musk. The fig isn't even ripe either, it smells sour, rotten and then the musk comes through. I don't get any coconut milk which was my main reason for buying the mist. I was primarily drawn to this mist because i love coconut milk and since it has brown sugar i thought it would be a warm fruity gourmand scent. I was told it will smell creamy which drew my interest even more but boiiii this smells nasty!!! I actually got a migraine from it which has never happened with me before. I was initially wary of it cause it has a fig note but i still took the risk of trying something new but 🤦♀ i had to sell it off to someone for a very cheap price at the end. You have to be really a fig fan or a heavy musk fan to like this. It was not my cup of tea. A very loud " PASS"!!!! from me ❌

I never did get to try the original release of this, but a guilty pleasure of mine is the presence of coconut in every other perfume of the mid-late 2000s. My last personal encounter with Brown Sugar & Fig was 9 years ago, in a mini spray. At the time, it weaved between something fresh, lightly caramelized coconut with juicy summer fruit bouncing in and out. It was still strong though, and had a personality of its own. It wasn't like the other freshies in the store at the time, so I'd go along with it. Then it would morph into, for whatever reason on my skin, a cloying coconut musk cleaning product. All fresh-fruitiness disappeared under the waves. Just when I thought I was enjoying the scent, it would stick to me longer than welcomed and I would tire of it quickly. My interest was piqued in the comeback for this spring; my nostalgia radar has been hankering for that 2000s coconut, so I started with the body lotion. It smells 95% the same. This time around, the fruity green top note is the first to catch your attention, slightly more astringent than it used to be. It then envelops you in that cloud of caramelized coconut, combined with remaining freshness of that green fig to prevent it from going full macaroon or full "coconut cleaning product." That strength in the fig distinguishes it from my previous experience, and might I say improves it. A very clean, green coconut cream. On testing the FFM, it has slightly less of the fresh green impact but is still present. I've still yet to find out if the scent as a whole has weakened, as with most BBW seasonal re-releases. But even in a toned down state, the new Brown Sugar & Fig manages to not fall flat. It's more of a skin scent now than a daytime high school glam, and it actually benefits from that.

Reviewing the 2022 version: I'm in love. This is a musky, earthy, coconut-y scent. It starts off as a ripe and juicy fig with some coconut and musk in the background. The "green" that comes from the fig quickly dries down and what you are left within a few minutes after spraying is a lot of coconut and musk, fig is in the background. The way that coconut and musk are done in this one kinda reminds me of Snowflakes & Cashmere, especially in the drydown. Longevity is higher than average, for bbw this is actually pretty good, considering that latest releases barely last at all. Don't expect it to be too sweet; if you've never smelled it, there is not too much of brown sugar from this one. It's more like the sweetness comes from the fig itself and it gives some earthy sweetness to the scent and not sugary sweetness, but that is in the opening. Body cream is great too. I would say it definitely has more of that creamy coco/musk sweetness, and not as much of the earthiness that comes from the fig. Not a complicated scent at all, but quiet a pleasant one. I see myself wearing this on my day off when I stay home, its a very comforting scent. The bottle did it for me too, one of the only times when bbw actually put some thought into the packaging if you know what i mean. Probably the only time when i like the repackaging, this looks a lot prettier and more catchy compared to the 2016 release. So def something I would want to display on my vanity.

I love this I just wish the longevity was at least a little bit longer, it's more like a skin scent and doesn't project. Most bath and body works has poor longevity but this one seems to be worse in that area than other ones. However I love how it smells so much I will continue to repurchase. I smell every note listed above it's a well blended body spray, but I do not get the caramel. It's so good, very light sweet in a fresh way it's gourmand but not in a tarte cake way. I just feel like the fig note with the brown sugar sets itself apart from other fragrances, I really wish they would sell this again with the actual perfume. But I mostly love putting this on around the house or after the shower. Has a relaxing quality to it as well.

It smells like fig with coconut milk sweetened with brown sugar. It is sweet and creamy but also has some fresh and green aspects that make it not cloying. In the later drydown what prevails is the brown sugar. It is pleasant, I like it, but to my nose it is somewhat simple and soulless and I use it in informal moments or at home. It is wintery and has a moderate projection and a duration of 5-6 hours on my skin, not bad for a mist. I have the 2022 version that I recently rediscovered as it was sitting at the furthest part of my shelf. It smelled plainly sweet and lactonic, so I layered this with Diptyque’s Philosykos just to play with the fig note, AND LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, I smelled like a goddess who was surrounded by fig fruits and a wreath above my head. I felt ethereal. If you’re having difficulties with its projection and longevity, I highly suggest get the lotion too and layer the body spray with an actual perfume with similar notes.

2025 release. brown sugar where?? should've been renamed to white musk powder & fig. cause boy it's not sweet at all. its an extremely POWDERY , white musk & fresh fig drydown is pure powder white musk. honestly kinda disappointed cause i really wanted a sweet note? its SO powdery, I can't stress this enough. but its not a bad scent by any means. i like that its fresh and borderline soapy, it will be good for warmer days.

Can't believe it's not listed yet, it smells 90% like Moonlight by Ariana.. I was disapointed when I blindbought and smelled it because I already have Moonlight

I blind bought it. For me, it smells like women’s deodorant that is powdery. But take it with a grain of salt as I am not into violet scents.

Don't bother with the 2025 version. Weak as hell. Smells like the homeopathic interpretation of Brown Sugar & Fig. B&BWs is cutting corners.
