Butterfly

Butterfly is absolutely a close cousin of both Sweet Pea, Carried Away...and also Beautiful Day. It has the same light and upbeat quality, but this is more balanced and a little more...dare I say it, grown up. The raspberry is tangy, and I smell a heart of some sort of white floral rather than the alleged "iris". It's nice, and smells decidedly clean, but I find it slightly more compelling for some reason than many of B&BW's fruity and clean releases. It's nice, and slightly shampoo-y, but actually manages to smell memorable. It lists vanilla in the notes, but it's only slightly so, and I'm glad for it. I'm tired of vanilla honestly. It makes a safe fragrance for the gym, hot days, office work, or sensitive environments, and I think it would be difficult to locate someone who dislikes this. I had a frag friend recommend this to me, and I'm so thankful she did! I didn't expect to be impressed, but I am. It's refreshing, and makes me feel happy and pretty 🦋🌞 (Cross posted to both entries.)

Sweet, happy, bright, joyful, radiant, and very beautiful. The raspberry nectar gives a lovely sweet and slightly tart scent to the delicate, airy, and fluffy vanilla... think whipped vanilla meringue drizzled with raspberry nectar, or even a kind of raspberry cotton candy. There is only a very subtle floral hint from the soft Iris petals, just barely noticeable. Such a wonderful fragrance, it makes me smile! An easy scent to love! I own this in the perfume, body mist, lotion, and shower gel and I get really good performance with it especially when I use the body care products too. The longevity is great, it lasts all day on me. The projection is nice too, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

I am a sucker for fruity and bright scents, and Butterfly is truly the epitome of those two things. It is airy and light and perfect for spring (although I personally wear this year round). This spray is definitely not for people who enjoy sultry or musky scents. It feels "young" and fun. Upon initial spray, you get a strong raspberry note, then the iris kicks in, and as it fades, it leaves a mix of the two and a slight vanilla note. I personally prefer this, because I like how it stays mostly fruity and uplifting.

Freaking LOVE this perfume♡ The thing is, it doesn't last as much as I like, but, it doesn't matter, it is gorgeous, feminine, sweet, powdery, lovely and sexy!! Definitely, one of my favorites form BBWs.

Butterfly is so much fun, the notes are ultra y2k manic pixie rave girl. I layer these products with dior addict: purple glow and the bbw delicate iris.

Reminds me a lot of Ari by Ariana Grande! The raspberry and clean notes that almost smell like a sweet shampoo. The bottle is super cute too!

Pair the bath products with Guerlain Insolence 🤌

It's bright, fruity, refreshing floral. Perfect for springtime. It has a nostalgic 90s/early 2000s vibe to me. I don't pick up on the vanilla much at all. I like to layer this with Happy Nation Vanilla body mist to bring that note out more.

I got the travel size edp of this and just spritzed it on myself. It's pretty faint for an edp and I'll never feel like I need the full size bottle. It's not bad and it's not great either, it's pretty average. I might even pass it along to my daughter because it's not doing much for me.

This is just an updated version of sweet pea by bath and body works.

I never got the hype with Butterfly. It is almost exactly the same as their Confetti Daydream, except you get more of the raspberry in this fragrance. It's a peppery floral that sometimes can come off as laundry detergent, which I don't know why anyone would want to smell so strongly of that. It's a asthma attack waiting to happen. But what is strange about both Butterfly and Confetti Daydream, the dry down becomes almost like a sweet cigar smell, but not in a good way. Again, it just has this peppery floral-ness about it.

guys, this is nearly identical to Van Cleef & Arpels Feerie! I was literally wearing Feerie just a few days before starting a new job at BBW, and when I sampled this (granted it was the lotion, different packaging) I couldn't believe how similar they were! It's almost grapey!

Listening to the Perfume Room podcast and perfumer Honorine Blanc says she interpreted part of her custom signature scent for this fragrance! So excited to try this out next time I hit the mall.
