Butterfly

This is raspberry on steroids! Wow! I am quite mad at myself for sleeping on this fragrance for sooo long just because i read reviews about it being a juvenile or a boring fragrance. I do get it where the juvenile, generic or boring complaints are coming from but it's completely false to my personal opinion. This is soooo good i am going absolutely going nuts over it 😍 this is a supremely sweet syrupy raspberry centric fragrance. It's a paradise for people who loves raspberry in their fragrances. Usually syrupy raspberry note comes off as medicinal ( cough syrup like) , juvenile or super synthetic. But not with this one, it is a true syrupy raspberry that has been glazed with honey. There is a powdery iris & airy vanilla sweetness. It gives me the image that i am walking around this lush garden on a sunny day, where colorful flowers are in the bloom, a gentle breeze is flowing, bees and birds are pollinating the flowers and the air smells super sweet due to the pollination. Everything is so cheerful, happy and bright. This is a happy fragrance! This is a pretty country girl fragrance! This is a spring appropriate fragrance! The sillage is pretty crazy too, two big pumps and your entire room smells like raspberries. The staying power is beast mode on my skin. I only have to spray a tiny amount and it will last me through the whole day. With the matching body lotion it will perform wonderfully. I kind of wanna invest my money on the actual perfume now, if it's this good in the mist, the perfume will have me in a chokehold 😅 This is absolutely compliment worthy on it's own or you can layer it up with any vanilla or berry centric fragrance and you are good to go.

Bath and Body Works “Butterfly” is a lighter and more powdery and less vegetal version of their “Sweet Pea.” It has the same “base” of Bath and Body Works fruity florals. I smell it and know it is from Bath and Body Works. Sweet Pea I feel has more Raspberry. Butterfly is tart and fresh. It is inoffensive and reminds me of clean and fruity 90s scents. Sweet Pea was something I have worn off and on since I was a teenager and I was born in 1983. It is fresh, fun, and casual. I am the type of person that when I get dressed up, I do not wear heavy perfumes. I still just enjoy a good body wash or bar soap to match a lotion and perhaps a light spritz of a body spray I enjoy and I get compliments. I feel Butterfly is something you could wear to to a spring or summer wedding but also rock with jeans T shirts. Do t count on it being a signature scent though as it is the type of thing BBW will most likely discontinue. I own the body wash, cream, lotion, fine fragrance mist, and a mini perfume so for the next 2 years, I will probably use it a lot and then it will disappear from my life forever.

Butterfly is absolutely a close cousin of both Sweet Pea, Carried Away...and also Beautiful Day. It has the same light and upbeat quality, but this is more balanced and a little more...dare I say it, grown up. The raspberry is tangy, and I smell a heart of some sort of white floral rather than the alleged "iris". It's nice, and smells decidedly clean, but I find it slightly more compelling for some reason than many of B&BW's fruity and clean releases. It's nice, and slightly shampoo-y, but actually manages to smell memorable. It lists vanilla in the notes, but it's only slightly so, and I'm glad for it. I'm tired of vanilla honestly. It makes a safe fragrance for the gym, hot days, office work, or sensitive environments, and I think it would be difficult to locate someone who dislikes this. I had a frag friend recommend this to me, and I'm so thankful she did! I didn't expect to be impressed, but I am. It's refreshing, and makes me feel happy and pretty 🦋🌞 (Cross posted to both entries.)

I'd describe this as a timeless/classic fragrance. This is what you'd wear when you want to feel beautiful and feminine. I feel the same when I wear it as well. It just gives me that confidence exuding beauty. The raspberry gives it a fresh and tart dimension, the iris (which my body usually hates) balances it with a powdery touch, and the vanilla lends it soft and sugary sweetness to round it all up. The combination is just simple yet glorious. It also performs really well for a body spray. I can still get whiffs of it on my clothes beyond the 6-hour mark. Impressive. The packaging is really pretty. It projects over arms' length. This is the perfect day scent when you wanna feel like the prettiest girl in town. Fragrance : 10/10 True to Notes : 10/10 Packaging : 10/10 Sillage : 9/10 Longevity : 9.5/10

I purchased the BBW Butterfly fragrance mist out of curiosity and also because I'm a fan of Mariah (because of the butterfly thing etc.). It says it has notes of raspberry nectar, iris petals, and airy vanilla. I don't smell the vanilla on this one. I'm not familiar with the smell of raspberry nectar and iris petals, so it's hard for me to describe it. But, this is definitely a fresh and light fragrance mist with hints of florals, which I think is kind of its downside because it's so light that after spraying it, after 15 minutes, it's gone and you can't barely smell it. This actually kind of reminds me of Beautiful Day and French Levender & Honey, also from BBW. I think if BD & FL&H will have a baby, this is it. I love the bottle thou, it's very pretty.

Such a pretty fragrance. It's simple and pretty light, but a very nice, slightly fruity floral. I'm not really getting any vanilla, to be honest. I would consider this a crowd-pleaser, in the sense that while maybe not everyone would love it, I really can't imagine it bothering anyone. This is a go-to for me when I want to smell nice on a normal/boring day but not give myself or anyone around me a headache. Nothing really that special, but nice and easy. I will say, there is not much lasting power. I still love it though, and if they ever discontinue it I'll be pissed. ETA: Maybe the lasting power isn't that bad. I had sprayed some on myself when I was wearing a sweater, and four days later I could still smell it on that sweater

My word I don't know where to begin describing my love for this fragrance, it's gorgeous. I got the set today and you can smell the sweet raspberry wrapped around a gorgeous floral note, and the soft vanilla is detectable in the background of all of that. The shower gel has a more detectable raspberry note but it still smells beautiful. Out of all the BBW scents I own this is my absolute favourite! To me it smells like eating a bowl of fresh, in season raspberries while sitting in a sunny flower garden in spring. It is youthful yet a little flirty, airy and uplifting, everything I was looking for. This is part of my new signature scent and I reccomend this for anyone who loves sweet, fruity-floral scents. 10000/10

Sweet, happy, bright, joyful, radiant, and very beautiful. The raspberry nectar gives a lovely sweet and slightly tart scent to the delicate, airy, and fluffy vanilla... think whipped vanilla meringue drizzled with raspberry nectar, or even a kind of raspberry cotton candy. There is only a very subtle floral hint from the soft Iris petals, just barely noticeable. Such a wonderful fragrance, it makes me smile! An easy scent to love! I have this in the perfume, body mist, lotion, and shower gel, and I get really nice performance especially when I use the body care products too. The longevity is great, it lasts all day on me. The projection is nice, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

Sweet (raspberry, vanilla) and elegant (iris). Innocent in its youthfulness, yet it is gifted with just the right touch of maturity. As its name suggests, it is the scent equivalent of standing in a moonlit field, surrounded by butterflies and their fluttering wings. You're able to see them, delicate and pure as they are, shimmer when the light hits them just right. Your eyes struggle to follow them all at once, darting between the wings grativating towards the nearest flowers, and the ones still circling you. The scent mostly fades away after a short amount of time, but it pairs beautifully with vanilla fragrances. A layering essential, as I see it.

This would be my everyday scent, no kidding, if it wasn't for the massive migraine it gives me every time I smell it. I have smelled so many other BBW FFMs with no problem, but this one I am out for the count for a day if I have to smell this! It is a shame this smell is perfect in my eyes, candy sweet, slightly fruity, slightly powdery, very joyful smelling. I am upset! I wonder if I can buy the lotion of this and avoid headaches? It is so bad that I now associate this scent with pain. I'm sad!

no words can describe this better than yummy. it's a simple fragrance that hits you with the raspberry at first smell, but slowly melts into a great gourmand type for those who find that gourmands don't mix well with their body. if you like fruity/vanilla scents out of the bottle but they tend to settle poorly on your skin, this is a great one to try. the iris helps cut through the sweetness into something more light and neutral while maintaining its yummy raspberry-ness

This is honestly such a versatile and simple fragrance yet something you’d always like to keep in your collection. It smells a lot like sweet pea with an added raspberry note. The raspberry note is very pleasant and not cloying at all. Also the vanilla note adds a beautiful softness to the iris and a playful candy like sweetness to the raspberry. I really like this scent and I feel like this is one of those scents that keeps me feeling uplifted throughout the day!

I reached for this after almost a year of leaving it in the back of my closet. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the scent, it's sweet, fruity, powdery, everything is well balanced, but the weakness... it literally disappears in less than an hour. I decided to look for something with similar notes that smells more mature, with better sillage and longevity, and I came across Club De Nuit Maleka by Amraf. I will let you know how is it!

butterfly by B&BW is a flowery and kinda sweet perfume. it smells a lot like sweet pea by bath and body works. it is bright and uplifting, and is my favorite scent. i wear it every day. it lasts for about an hour on me and then it starts to fade. but as it fades it gets kinda sweet smelling. it is a perfect late summer scent, but i wear it in fall too.💯 i love it!! 10/10 edit; it also has a kinda powdery note.

This does remind me of Sweet Pea. I detect the raspberry in this. It's a very safe pleasant body mist. Smells like fruit juice. I use all my mists to layer with my perfumes. I'm layering this with my Lancome LA Vie Est Belle. It tones down the patchouli note in LVEB and makes it wearable for me. I don't like patchouli forward fragrances so this makes LVEB smell really nice to my nose.

If you like the scent of raspberries, then you may enjoy this one. The raspberry nectar is definitely the star of the show with this fragrance. With the powdery floral of iris helping with softening it, and while there is vanilla in this fragrance. It is a very faint vanilla. A tart yet sweet fragrance, that is perfect for the warmer months. Very fresh and bright scent.

Easily my favorite BBW fragrance! It smells like a sugary raspberry shampoo! The type that you use because everyone compliments your hair and how it smells after you use it! This is my summer/spring body mist! It pairs well is Ari by Ariana Grande and Pour Femme by Dolce and Gabbana if you want to elevate it!

Beautiful scent and perfect balance between fruity and flowery, however longevity sucks (on my skin at least). It makes sense since it's a body spray and not an edp. I'm selling it on Vinted if you're from EU and interested 🙂

sweet, floral, clean smelling yet warm. makes me feel feminine and put-together while still being relaxed and casual 🫧 lasts pretty long too, especially when layering both the body cream and body spray! <3

It smells so bomb, i think this is my new favorite body mist. The dry down kind of smells like the fairy dust from lush. It is a sweet, fruity, almost tart smell, it also smells really clean and fresh.

is it normal to by hypnotized by perfume? i smelled it once, didn't like it, but then after a second i went wait....let's give it a second whiff...and i could not stop sniffing it. it's entrancing

it smells nostalgic. I don't know but I felt like I smelled this before about 2000s era. It's really good smelling.

It is a sweet, raspberry-vanilla, daytime fragrance that has an innocent-like energy to it that I find comforting.

I absolutely love this scent :) To me, it comes across as a sugary raspberry followed by the sweet floral iris note. The floral notes are gentle and the vanilla note is barely there to my nose, with the sweet and tart raspberry taking center stage. If anything, the iris and the vanilla are just sweetening and balancing the raspberry scent but aren’t very prominent. I’ve seen reviews describing it as powdery but I smell no powdery-ness in this scent! Maybe the iris comes across as powdery to some, but to me this smells like a very sweet, juicy, tart raspberry with a hint of light and airy floral iris.

I am happy with this. It lasts far longer than I was anticipating. It starts off a bit tart, similar to the opening in the original gingham but definitely not as freshly squeezed as that lol I’d say this is far more mellow, it’s more of a raspberry candy in the opening. Though I believe this scent really shines in the dry down, the iris is to die for. It is so soft and sweet almost like the scent is kissing your skin. This projects well enough for a body mist, I think this is worth the purchase dare I say even blindly (if you love candy scents) such a flirtatious little scent.

It is quite funny that out of my almost 200 perfume collection this scent is my 8 year old son's favorite. Everytime, I spray this he never fails to tell me you smell good mommy! This holds a special place to my heart because it reminds me of my son. I like this but this is not really a favorite because sometimes I find it too sweet and cloying depending on my mood. I also bought the body lotion to make the scent last longer. Actually the staying power of this is quite good. Sillage is superb and the price is cheap.

This is a very simple fruity shampoo kind of smell, but I like it a lot. I really don’t smell a lot of the vanilla note, it’s definitely very very berry forward. I’ve noticed it smells a lot more floral on the skin than it does in the bottle. This body spray is also very nostalgic to me, as it’s my mom’s favorite fragrance, so it’ll always hold a special place in my heart :>

This scent is very sweet and playful - I get some vague 2000s So...? vibes from this one. Something about the raspberry note probably. It's light and pleasant, the enemy of no nose, but definitely on the immature side. As a grown woman I really can't justify wearing this into the office or on a date, but I would spritz it on to run errands or do a bit of window shopping.

I fully agree with another reviewer mentioning that this smells like shampoo but in a good way. The raspberry isn't too tired it is very soft sweet and light and feminine. Using this I smell clean but not a boring clean if that makes sense. It is very pretty and great for layering with other fragrance.

i like this !! smells like pure leaf raspberry tea to me at first, but the flowers definitely come in after a little bit. i dont really get the vanilla, just a looot of raspberry overpowering it maybe ? lasts really long on me, also. it sticks to my clothes all day and sometimes the day after.

I sort of blind bought this a while ago and it’s been such a good body mist!! It smells floral, really sweet, and it feels refreshing. I just hate how this literally disappears after like 20 minutes in my skin, but lasts for a while on my clothes.

I like this smell, but something about it I do not love. It reminds me of raspberry yogurt. This does have some staying power and strength for a body mist though so I still think it is a great value, especially on sale.

Well this is a nice smell but it strangely reminded me of Love Spell by VS. Which i'm not crazy about. Not a huge similarity but still... It's more basic than i expected it to be. Still smells nice, very raspberry.

The raspberry nectar is definitely the star. The iris does add a slight powdery floral note to contract the sweet vanilla and cut the tartness of the raspberry. Cute body spray, youthful and fun.

heavy dose of raspberry with some iris thrown in. it's nice for the warmer months. a sweet shampoo-y scent. it reminds me of sweet by LL if the cherry note was replaced by a tart raspberry.

This is exactly like gingham blue. The only difference is that this is more feminine. It have some floral and hints of sweet notes which makes it different

I have tested it in BBW store before boycott, raspberry Iris vanilla calm mist, combains Iris flower which provide powdrey scent mixed with vanilla and raspberry. This fragrance you can wear it any time during the day or in spring and summer seasons, but I think this fragrance missed to be more mature so it very suitable for layering more than use it alone. I received the entire set of Butterfly during the summer. It was a thought gift from a friend. Today, I decided to wear the body cream and body mist, layered with Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy. These two did not complement each other well at first, in my opinion. Together, upon initial spraying, the fragrances smelled like chewable children's vitamins. As time went on and the fragrances began to dry down, I began to get a mixture of juicy summer berries, white flowers, and an ambery-musk. So far, I'd have to say that Butterfly is just ok. It performs well for a body mist. It has decent longevity and sillage. The fragrance just does not wow me. It is just average--nothing that I'd want to reach for frequently.

Raspberry. Raspberry. Then followed by a hint of florals. After that, it dries down into candied flowers. After an hour, you're left with the generic sweet candies-and-berries scent similar to a typical kid's/teen's drugstore cologne. If you like that, good for you. If you're like me who didn't like how the sugary sweetness takes over, then might as well give it away (or try to layer it with something more floral to tone down that candied dry down). The dry down made me regret buying it. On the up side, (as with most Bath and Body sprays I've tried so far) the scent lasts longer than VS body sprays.

butterfly is the perfect blend of raspberries, florals, and vanilla. it’s a really gorgeous, girly fragrance and a great everyday scent. it’s powdery and smells a bit like a generic bath and body works scent. this also is my most complimented body mist hands down and i’ve never met anyone who doesn’t like it. but, i have been wearing this scent for about a month now and i have gotten kind of sick of it and it almost makes me nauseous whenever i smell it :((. i’m going to take a break from it for now and hopefully when i come back to it i’ll rediscover my love for this body mist.
