Candy Apple Cauldron

I went to Victoria's Secret to smell Tease Sugar Fleur. I wandered the mall after and stopped in B&BW. I couldn't believe how similar this is to the Sugar Fleur. Like Sisters close at least on paper. This one seems to have a woodiness that Sugar Fleur doesn't have, though I can't specifically pinpoint what. I haven't tried them both on skin yet, but I did end up taking both home, so I'll update when I do. Update: I sprayed this one on my left arm and the Sugar Fleur on my right. This one does have a very slight woodiness that isn't listed in the notes and it seemed to stay Green Apple sour longer, but otherwise they were so close to each other. I love the sweet candy floating in the back. They are such fun scents.

i think this is my favorite of the halloween scents. it's not as sweet the other two. the green apple definitely comes in first (and more on the spray card) but then it's all spicy citrus on my skin. and i usually hate green spice but this is really nice. it pulls a lot more masculine on me than i had expected in the store edit: the longer it sits on my skin the more it smells like fresh laundry out of the dryer??? which im not mad about but it's unexpected

Easily the best launch of Bath & Body Works 2024 Halloween collection! It smells like a candy green apple, and is very different from the other scents we have gotten so far. It’s fresh, citrusy, and sweet all at the same time. Overall a great scent and have surprisingly good projection for a body spray.

One of my favorite bath and body works body mists I’ve ever bought. I love the smell of green apples, and it exactly smells like it! Highly recommend.

Sweet, fruity, tart, fun, bright, crisp, sugary, yummy, playful, and fresh! This really does smell like a sugary sweet candy apple! Definitely a fun scent! I picture a just picked, large, bright green, Granny Smith apple that’s fresh, juicy, sweet, crisp, and tart. It’s coated in sugary sweet candy that’s still slightly sticky. A deliciously sugary and super yummy treat. I only bought this one in the body lotion because I wasn’t sure if it was something I’d reach for often. However, as a lotion I could easily pair it with another fragrance. I don’t have many apple fragrances, but what immediately comes to mind is VS Tease Sugar Fleur. I’m excited to try them together! I think it will be a pretty, sweet, flirty, playful, and fun scent. Out of this year’s B&BW Halloween fragrances I only bought the lotion of this one and the body wash, lotion, and mist of Wicked Vanilla Woods. Personally, I really dislike Vampire Blood and I just wasn’t drawn to Ghoul Friend. I did get a couple other newer ones too: Vanilla Romance (incredible!) and Gingham Glow, as well as more Dark Kiss. Overall, I was even more impressed with my order (a blind buy) than I’d expected to be! Vanilla Romance and Wicked Vanilla Woods are definitely my favorites!

Not exactly what I was hoping for, but a fun scent! It smells like an green apple car refreshner or to be more exact like some wet wipes from my local drug store. The initial spray is similar to a green apple hard candy and then it becomes wet wipes. I love the packaging, I love the idea of an green apple scent for Halloween, BUT I wish they would have made it more like Vampire Blood as it is for me the perfect replica of a sweet, hard candy. It also reminds me a lot of Pop Jelly Fresh from VS. I think it`s nice to have and a fun addition for every now and then. But nothing that is mindblowing though.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one, I’m probably a little old to be wearing this but I couldn’t resist trying out the fun new Halloween scents. I get fresh tart green apple with some thing musky, but in a good way that to me could make it unisex. The lotion is sweeter than the body spray. I’ve heard it compared to the Apple body mist that was released earlier this summer, but this one smells notably different. I added vanilla sugar By kayali And it really made the Apple note pop. Pleasantly surprised, it’s a fun one, nothing serious, but definitely fun and the best of the Halloween scents.

This is absolutely giving Jolly Rancher vibes and when I smelled it in-store immediately felt like I needed it. Luckily the impulse subsided. It's fun but not something I think I would actually reach for. When I made my husband smell it he said it reminded him of something I already had. And while I do have a couple apple fragrances I could not fathom what connection he was making. After prying a little more I found out he was thinking of DG Light Blue. Which I can see this being like it's sugary little sister

I actually like this one the least of the Halloween fragrances, but as I sit with it more it's VASTLY grown on me. Perfect fruity green execution. If this had some woodsy notes at the base, I'd wear this as a man.

A lovely green apple, emphasis on GREEN APPLE doesn't have that overly sweet red apple or caramel apple note. Kinda like a green apple candy, but with a fresh almost soapy crispness that is lovely.

Smells like a green jolly rancher! I love that they included bergamot in this.

sour green apple incarnate. delectable and very tasty!

This is a nice enough apple fragrance but there's a note in it (perhaps the bergamot) that throws it all off. It feels like it should be a sweet, delicious apple candy (or even a fresh green apple) but the note is too bitter and almost soapy. I had a similar feeling about Ghoul Friend. The bottle and name are so fun and spooky and I'm a slut for anything Halloween but the scent just doesn't satisfy my apple craving. The "No. 3 Apple" mist (in the white/green bottle) is a much more delicious green apple to me.

I am a massive apple scent lover but this is not my favorite. As some have mentioned, it gives off Jolly Rancher vibes, which to me, makes the apple scent smell very fake. It's not bad to spritz right out of the shower or to freshen up but I wouldn't wear it a go-to as it does smell very juvenile.

Straight delish Granny Smith apple. Will be so fun to wear in the fall! Might pair with Ellis Apple or Tom Ford Lost Cherry. Edit: Now that it’s sat for a few months in my collection I’m no longer a fan. It’s gone sour in a bad way. Had to throw it.

Smells yummy 😋 just like sour Apple candy straws, nothing like candy apple. Last about an hour.

Straight up smells like a green jolly rancher. Short review because that's the only comparison that needs to be made lol 😅 Very childlike/juvenile. Not gross or anything, just definitely not my kind of scent.

The reviews on BBW are so contradicting, from love to repulsion. Some people were anosmic to it, I don't blame them, it's a weak scent and also lacks a strong base to give it more body and a perfume quality from the opening. Some musk or amber & sandalwood would have made it more perfume-y from the start and more potent. The opening: candy-sweet green apple, but still bright, intensely juicy green like apple juice, not too crisp, its sourness is subtle and nothing sickly sweet. I think it's the bergamot that adds a more tart tone to it, but the result is juicy and bold, not obnoxiously sour. It is not the ozonic shampoo-like apple from BBW's Mist No3 Apple with strawberry and rain notes, and it's not the VS Eau So Sexy's green apple that is high-pitched sour and sickly sweet from the whipped cream. VS PINK new mist Apple Rush is similar to Eau So Sexy btw, with juicy syrupy apple and intense caramel sweetness, but better. The opening of Candy Apple Cauldron on me is not citrusy-sharp/dry and astringent, only fresh and bright and with the usual BBW juvenile fruit-juice candy sweetness, just as I find it in mists like Bright Christmas Morning (which has apple too btw but it's a lot more sour), the type I don't take seriously to wear as a perfume, and usually just buy one lotion of. So the opening is not perfume-y. It is not too tart and artificial to smell like Raid. It is a candy sweet apple but fresh, not as bubblegum-sugar-sweet as in Tease Sugar Fleur. If Candy Apple Cauldron seems too cheap and juvenile for you at first, wait for the drydown it doesn't delay. In the opening I did not smell anything close to Tease Sugar Fleur, as the scent was too fruity juicy and simplistic, until the mist quickly settled on my skin and then the shimmering sugar note evolved adding its "pink" girly sweetness reminiscent of Sugar Fleur accompanying the fresh green juicy apple, and blending with the slightly citrusy caramel-bergamot to develop the signature balsamic sweet and warm, slightly citrusy scent of Sugar Fleur. The mist becomes more perfume-y at this point. Progressively it reminds me of bubblegum just not as sweet and not as high-pitched and delicate as Sugar Fleur's super sweet sugared bubblegum-caramel effect. What I love about this is that the apple-bergamot produce a bold deeper green effect compared to the high-pitched green apple-bubblegum of Sugar Fleur. Due to the balsamic caramel it is almost a minty effect along with the bubblegum sweetness. Tease Sugar Fleur also has a minty apple effect on me from the balsamic caramel-apple pairing, just A LOT more high-pitched. Impressive how not linear this mist is and how quickly it changes. I also sense a more syrupy solar undertone early in the drydown. Later in the drydown I also get a bittersweet burnt sugar scent that develops from the balsamic caramel effect - more on that below, reminiscent of the balsamic bitter sweet 'smoky' smell of Moonlit Martini. It is overall fresher in my opinion, not as girly "pink" and amber-y, and not as bubblegum-sweet and sour as Tease Sugar Fleur is. Not sure why some folks say that this mist is more sour than Sugar Fleur, not to me. This is also much deeper as in bolder, juicier too. So I like that aspect. Candy Apple Cauldron becomes sugared progressively. It's like the deeper, bolder green, bergamot version of Tease Sugar Fleur, but more plain too lacking the warm amber, with a refreshing bright juicy opening that is not bubblegum sweet right away and not caramel-warm at first, unlike Sugar Fleur. They have different opening. Tease Sugar Fleur smells more dimensional, warm and rich right away with its various notes with more depth due to its sandalwood/amber base. Sugar Fleur is also subtly floral and high-pitched due to the bubblegum note - no bold juicy, dark and deep green elements as opposed to Candy Apple Cauldron. Tease Sugar Fleur smells way too candy-sweet and 'girly/young' for me and with intense sourness that is too high-pitched throughout, so I dislike parts of it. I do own both though. Here the green apple opens the fragrance by itself, intensely juicy green, only slightly tart with the bergamot. Sugar Fleur lasts super long on me and I like its fresh perfume-y jasmine. I do like the instant warm amber of Sugar Fleur, but I prefer the bolder darker, juicier less sweet and not so high-pitched green essence of Candy Apple Cauldron, even if the opening is not like a perfume and throughout it still smells like a juicy mist, but that's an advantage perhaps. Pairing Sugar Fleur with Candy Apple Cauldron would create a bolder green effect and tone down the high-pitched bubblegum sweetness of Sugar Fleur. The bittersweet green effect and the solar syrupy element from the shimmering sugar + crystallized bergamot notes: As I said from the sprayer even, aside from the juicy apple, I smell this bittersweet 'burnt sugar' balsamic scent that I find in Moonlit Martini too, it's more intense almost smoky in the latter due to its alcoholic green gin note. Aside from the bittersweet balsamic Moonlit Martini type of scent that I detect later at the drydown, I first get a warmer sugared element, kinda solar, maybe why it's "crystalized bergamot" and "shimmering sugar". They produce a sugared caramel effect right away that becomes more syrupy. That's when I relate it to Poolside Cabana, being very green and so sugary too, but that one is too sour like lime. It's like I am smelling the sugar here; same sensation as with Poolside Cabana. The solar sugar effect subsides and then the balsamic bittersweet scent appears as an undertone to the whole scent, from the sugared caramelized green apple-bergamot pairing, just like the gin and fruity notes of Moonlit Martini collide and create a similar bittersweet scent. It's not "burnt" exactly, just slightly bittersweet added to the balsamic citrusy caramel-apple effect. I mainly detect these undertones when I smell my skin. This weird syrupy Poolside Cabana solar effect and the whole Moonlit Martini bittersweet element are missing from Tease Sugar Fleur which can be good, but to me it adds a darker element in this mist. Some are instantly repelled by it, some reviewers mentioned a burnt smell, yea the bittersweet Moonlit Martini vibe, maybe because BBW paired caramel and sugar with green tart notes, but it deviates from the smoky burnt plastic smell of Wild Sand and it's milder than the intense bittersweet scent in Moonlit Martini where it's way too bitter for me from the gin.

I agree this has a similar vibe to VS Tease Sugar Fleur. That one is more vanillic, but this one layers super well with it. Green Jolly Rancher vibes.
