Capricorn

I second DreaNoel. Finally! A Capricorn inspired scent that is not earth and dirt or herbal. I don’t know why Cap always gets the short end of the stick in zodiac inspired fragrances, but this one got me excited because it’s different. It’s creamy rose but not overly rose-y like some other rose perfumes. It’s sweet but not juvenile and it’s creamy but not heavy. This is perfect for a rainy day where you want to smell fresh floral but not heavily so and also want to feel cozy without feeling sticky sweet.

I came here to sing the praises of a scent for Capricorns that FINALLY does not smell like trees/dirt/rocks/moss Yes we are an earth sign but we love refined classy things. While they don’t seem to share any similar notes, on my clothes this is very similar to Laila by Geir Ness. Which to me smells like a fresh winter day. Makes sense for the December/January babies. Lightly floral, sweet, a hint of cream. I hope they make the full line, soap/lotion etc.

I sprayed this on my clothes before bed last night and I can still smell her! I bought it immediately because she smelled like the child of Cocktail Dress and Whipped Rose Latte, and there is an ingredient that makes this such an ideal Winter frag, a cold musk perhaps?

Oh Bath and Body Works, you can never forget your roots. I wandered into the store to just see what the fragrance in my zodiac sign B&BW had to offer. Fully expecting some peppery, overly spicy or overly Earthy mess that my Capricorn siblings would agree we see a lot of, my expectations were through the floor. But I smelled it and I salty imagined a cozy cabin filled with fine dusty literature, a rich hot chocolate and a bouquet of fragrant freshly cut roses. Elegant, simple, cozy. I remember thinking “this is what a Capricorn smells like.” I know they’ll never launch this scent again sadly, so I usually spray it around the house, on myself for lounging around the house or if I want something light for a quick errand that I don’t want to use my pricier scents for. Great for a purse, car or a quick grocery run. Or for simply laying in bed sheltering from a storm, cozying up to “Sense and Sensibility.”

I like it. I don’t know why I saw so much hate online. Sure it’s not spectacular, but it’s cozy, classy and warm. The rose is well done. I need to wear this. I bought it in December and have only sampled twice. I think I let all the negative reviews affect me. I sampled S+F Rosewood, an Atomic Rose dupe tonight. Lovely drydown (not the best opening, unlike this)! I plan on buying that and layering it with this. This will go well with Always and Forever too and my Dua Tease Cocoa Soirée VS dupe. The cocoa isn’t real strong which I’m glad since I’m not always a fan of chocolate notes.
