Carried Away

This was my signature in high school and I am over the moon that they're bringing her back this SAS! I still have the very same 2013 bottle I used to mist myself with every morning and I'm so glad I don't have to restrain myself from spraying it every so often anymore. Even though it's a decade old at this point it still smells just like it did: fresh, floral, sweet and most of all, fruity. It's the kind of scent that lifts your mood as soon as you spray it. It's strong without being overpowering and while on the youthful side it isn't quite as immature as scents like Sweet Pea (blargh) or Summer Melody. It really reminds me of Magnolia Charm to the point where they are almost identical to my nose (with Carried Away being a bit brighter smelling) but apparently that opinion is not a popular one lmao. I'm really curious about how the new formula will compare with the one I currently have, I'll report back with my findings once I can get my hands on it. ETA: I picked up a newer bottle and I have to say there is no discernible difference other than the new one being stronger and smelling less like alcohol. Now that I'm comparing them side by side the older one has a bit of a nail polish remover vibe that I assume is due to age. The new one definitely does it justice!

Gorgeous scent, pear + floral notes are extremely popular at B&BW. My favorite was magnolia charm, until I smelled carried away. There’s something so addicting about this scent to me. It smells bright, uplifting, and sweet like candy. I don’t buy lotions often but this one is definitely lotion & backup worthy. I’m afraid it will sell out soon, so get your nose on this one if you can. People compare it to poppy and sweet pea, which I get the similarities. This one is my favorite probably because the added raspberry note. Sweet pea reminds me of my childhood, and poppy is a beautiful scent but feels like it’s missing something. Carried away surpasses all the scents in this fruity floral category by far in my opinion. It easily takes the spot of former favorites. 😊 I’ve heard others say this is juvenile smelling, and I don’t really agree with that. I think this is a perfect example of a fragrance any age can beautifully pull off. At the same time though, I wouldn’t consider this a mature fragrance or be my first pick as a gift option for someone else. It has a shampoo like quality about it but can see some thinking it’s too sweet. It will not pass as a perfumey or luxurious scent, more causal and bright.

This is my favorite B&BW fragrance to date. I have only ever had the body splash, but I plan to purchase the EDT eventually. I always mention bottles in my reviews and I've previously said I always really like B&BW's packaging. This bottle is really adorable and playful and the blue main color was a wise choice. (My synesthesia is showing.) The scent of Carried Away is particularly nostalgic for me because, without ever having previously owned it, this is the same scent of my room when I was a tween. It takes me back to the days of playing Final Fantasy X-2 in my blue, dolphin-adorned room. It's bubbly, fresh, clean, slightly fruity-sweet, and very playful. Words can't express how in love with this fragrance I am. This fragrance also features every single floral note I love most except waterlily, so it literally feels like it was made for me. 10/10 from me, and I realize I'm completely biased, but for good reason. This fragrance speaks to me and I recommend it to anyone who likes that airy, fresh, slightly fruity sweet, playful fragrance. xx

This is one of the first 3 Bath, and Body Works perfumes I've bought, yesterday when I was in the mall. OMG This is just perfect!!! When I smelled this I was like bingo this is it. I don't love that many perfumes, but I can say I love this one. No it's not my favorite out of all the perfumes I've, but I do really think this perfume is great. I'm seeing a few people saying this smells like BCBG Bon Chic, I can smell similarities, but it doesn't smell the excat same, because Carried Away is much stroger than Bon Chic, in my opinion, and I prefer Carried Away over Bon Chic any day. I don't really like perfumes that are too light. At least meet me in the middle. This scent will definitely carry you away. Love at first sight, or smell that is! To me there isn't a note that stnads out of the crowd. No notes take over, they all blend in together which I really love. I hate when you buy a perfume that has a combanation of notes, but you mainly smell two, or three of them the most.

Carried Away, in my opinon, is the second best fragrance from Bath and Body Works- behing Sweat Pea. It is full of fruity, sweet notes and creates a crisp, clean aroma after settling. The longevity is poor, I myself would rate it a 4/10, as it is an EDT. This is a perfect scent for working. If you are like me, you hate losing your perfume's scent at the restaurant you work for. With Carried Away, I feel no guilt spraying myself twice or three times within an hour. After those manny layers, it does not fumigate or become too stout. A must have for those with a limited budget, hate smelling like where you work, and enjoy an excuse to smell "girly." An added plus: The EDT bottle is adorable and travels well.
