Carried Away

I'm in the minority that likes this. It doesn't smell too sweet nor cloying to me. This could also be a cousin of Sweet Pea as they share the same fruit notes. Smells a lot like fresh fruit. I like pairing this with some of my vanillas, though, it is also such a fresh and uplifting scent even on its own. It's really fun, carefree, and girly. The projection is so strong, but just like any other fruity body spray, it fades under an hour. It's quite cheap so I drench myself in it when I'm in the mood.

Fruity and fresh! Such an amazing smell. Always wear it during the spring/summer season.

This is beautiful in the ultra shea lotion form! It can be quite challenging to acquire this in spray, lotion and body wash at once because it is technically retired. It's such a beautifully balanced whipped sweetness and tart fruitiness. The vanilla is cool and edible (as opposed to the warm like in Warm Vanilla Sugar or Vanilla Bean Noel), and the raspberry is tangy. It's slightly floral with some crisp jasmine too, which is the bridge between the vanilla and berry. I detect almost a light laundry note too? It's very *clean*. I really don't get why this one isn't more popular. (Cross posted from other listing.)

First I’d like to start by stating that Carried Away was not a new launch in 2023 as mentioned above. I remember getting one circa 2007-08 in the older rectangular waisted bottles and then another one circa 2012-13 in the cylindrical bottle but with light blue and magenta ribbons (that’s the one I’m reviewing as I don’t have the one pictured on top). The pear note here is the protagonist. It is fresh and sweet without being overly synthetic or icy as in say Pear Glacé. The raspberry lends some tanginess, the jasmine freshness and the vanilla sweetness but non of them overpowers the pear 🍐. Lovely for layering whenever you want to enhance the pear note in your perfume and add some freshness.

Carried away is fruity, fresh, and clean. Her opening is a burst of raspberry and pear similar to Confetti Daydream. So if you didn’t get carried away last SAS, Get Confetti Daydream this sas, the only different that Carried away has to Confetti Daydream is that the dry down is a dewy Iris, while Carried away dry down is fruity with a hint of vanilla and jasmine. I do love Carried away for its burst of sweet fruits, something I felt that was missing in Confetti Daydream but realized that they are both pretty similar, either way, I love carried away and use it pretty often since it’s a fresh fruity scent and can be used everyday.
