Cereal Milk Soft Serve

how is this a polarizing perfume! usually when scents are controversial, i can see both sides, but this spray to me is nearly as perfect as it can get. as a gourmand girl, this is an absolute dream come true. it smells exactly like the name suggests: a creamy, milky vanilla soft serve topped with nostalgic corn flakes that has just the right amount of malty & doughy notes. i feel like i'm in a frozen yogurt shop whenever i wear it. it's genuinely perfect & doesn't have those sometimes weird lemon-y notes that cereal milk fragrances tend to have. childhood, watching old cartoon reruns on a crt tv while eating breakfast with your sister on a sunny morning. the only qualm is the longevity. it does not last very long if you don't layer it (luckily they have a lotion & body soap! & a hand soap that for some reason has very long longevity lol) scent development ❤ opening/top notes & initial impression: i mean... it's a pretty one-dimensional scent, in a good way. the way it smells when you spray it is kind of how it stays. ❤ middle notes: leans a teeeeeny bit more towards the malt/cereal, but overall pretty much stays the same. ❤ dry down/base notes: beautiful. characteristics ❤ season(s): all. cozy for the winter/fall, great for a nostalgic transition into the spring, & for smelling like a traditional ice cream shop in the summer. ❤ occasion: it can be a bit youthful, not something i'd wear on a date. but for daily day time/post-shower wear, i love it. great for fun activities. ❤ time of day: day ❤ versatility: see 'occasion' above ❤ uniqueness: SO unique! has a lot of personality to it, especially compared to other vanilla soft serve/ice cream & cereal milk scents ❤ compliment factor (personally): i've gotten a few! it's pretty close to skin & again doesn't last too long sadly which plays a factor practicality ❤ bottle/packaging design: adorable & childish but not in a bad way! playful! ❤ ages i think this is best suited for: 10-30 ❤ mood/vibe: playful, nostalgic, youthful, sweet, creamy, comforting, cozy, cuddly, familiar, carefree, sugary, malt, grain, cereal, soft ❤ repurchase/purchase if sample?: yes. i have like 10 bottles & wish i got more overall recommend?: yes. 1000%.

I honestly did not have high hopes for this, but I can say that I have been unequivocally blown away! I am not a gourmand fragrance lover. In general, I don't like to smell like food, especially sweet food. However, I am always intrigued by laconic scents. This one really delivers. My first impression is that of eating a Cold Stone waffle cone full of melting vanilla ice cream with Frosted Flakes mixed in. I cannot fathom why cereal is not one of the notes since it is so prominent. I don't understand the reviews that say it smells like sour milk, but of course, everyone appreciates scents differently, and there is certainly a strong memory/association factor that might be playing into some people's perceptions. (Happens to me all the time.) I also tried B&BW's Milk body spray and was underwhelmed (smelled more like a soft musk to me), but it seems from the reviews that people who don't like Cereal Milk Soft Serve do like the Milk fragrance, so maybe give that a try if this one is a no-go for you. I wish it projected more and lasted longer, but I still love it way more than I thought I would.

this smells SO good, one of my favs from b&bw, their whole milkbar line is p good imo, its such a shame the reviews on this scent is 50/50 bc as a gourmand lover this is one of the best scents in my collection. This smells like a yummy milky bar of white chocolate and cereal on my skin and smells heavenly when paired with eos vanilla cashmere omgg... this is very long lasting too for a body mist. This has been a constant compliment getter ranging from little kids asking who smells like candy when they walk behind me to persons who are in a room w me saying to eachother "in here smells so good" One thing that kinda freaked me out about this though is the texture of the spray, guessing its like that bc it can be sprayed in hair aswell but its quite odd, it has this almost sticky feeling to the skin that leaves a shine when it dries down so i have to rub it in. Also quick psa this STAINS!! so plz look out for that bc at first i did not know this stained until i sprayed it on my white uniform top while at school /3 its better to mist it on from afar or on darker clothing.

I was excited to try another collab with celebrity chef, Christina Tosi. The notes from the brand's write-up are: soft serve ice-cream, Frosted Flakes, cereal milk, salt, frosted sugar, Corn Flakes - and these more accurately reflect the scent than what's listed here (sugar, ice-cream) imo. As milk left in the bottom of a cereal bowl was Christina's inspiration for opening Milk Bar, it's nice to see that reflected here. Very creamy-lactonic and sweet, fans of lactonic gourmands would likely enjoy this. Some reminders of the first collab with Christina: Milk Bar Birthday Cake, although this is even more creamy but less cake-y. Great on its own, or easy to layer. Would layer well with gourmands (including the other released collabs with Christina), white-florals and other lactonic scents, but I'll probably layer it with tuberose scents, magnolia scents and coconut scents. The spray and the cream are both enjoyable, and even better layered together. Love it!. Enjoy!

Incredibly amazing, comforting and addictive. Probably one of the most unique fragrances i got so far, it could be that it's difference makes it so polarizing, It opens with a sweet, creamy cereal milk accord that instantly reads nostalgic and cozy, like the leftover milk at the bottom of a sugary breakfast bowl mixed with vanilla ice cream. The sweetness is so smooth and well-balanced, never harsh or powdery. Don’t be scared off by the cereal notes; if anything, it leans closer to a soft, creamy macadamia-like sweetness than literal cereal. Despite being a milk-based gourmand, longevity is solid, and it stays deliciously close to the skin. Overall, this is a beautifully executed gourmand: warm, playful, and deeply satisfying. If you love sweet, creamy, nostalgic scents, this is an easy love—absolute perfection for a gourmand lover.

I am in love. I love the kinds of gourmands that reminds you of an ice cream parlor or a dessert bar. This is it. The vanilla is milky and creamy, perfectly ice cream. The savory nutty notes read cornflakes or waffle cone. I overspray this body spray and it doesn’t get overwhelming but it does last surprisingly well for a mist. I catch whiffs of myself for around 6 hours (better than some perfumes). If you don’t like juvenile-leaning gourmands, this is not for you. For those reminiscing about happy summer childhoods who want a cozy gourmands for fall and winter (honestly this isn’t cloying for spring or summer), this IS it. Get it on sale if you can. I got mine for 5.95 during their body mist sale. The body cream smells divine too - thinking of purchasing it so I can layer myself into ice cream parlor heaven.

Reading the notes I was like meh, ice cream and cereal, really good, but is it that special? Y e s. Yes absolutely. I'm such a sucker for nostalgic scents and this is right up there. It's like you're an adult and you're in the backroom's playrooms. This is a great vibe, and I'm very curious as to how it would smell with rainbow cereal.... The scent itself aside from the vibes? That's a very photo realistic lactonic cereal scent. I know it has ice cream, but it smells milkier than ice creamy, not that I'm complaining, it's perfectly sugary. I adore it, if you're on the fence, please give it a chance, because unless it turns sour on your skin it should be a safe buy. I think this is more summer time than fall/winter tho...

smells so good IM SORRY!!!!!! surprisingly enough i much prefer this over the aromatherapy milk spray -- which is a much more PURE milk scent, but i always found it a bit too alcoholic and weak for my tastes (⁠ ́⁠ ⁠.⁠ ⁠.̫⁠ ⁠.⁠ ⁠`⁠);;; people arent necessarily wrong about the milk note being sour, but the sourness...isnt... unpleasant..???!! very photorealistic and blunt on the milk/cereal promise -- WHICH IT DELIVERS!!!!! which is why i suspect people to have very strong contentious feelings on this🥸🥸 anyways if if you're a true #CREAMhead like i am then you'd definitely enjoy this 🥛🥛🥛 #SCENTOFMILKOUT micdrop 🎤💥💥💥💥💥💥💥

these reviews had me almost not trying this one out but I’m glad I did anyway. This is so delicious & creamy. I don’t smell anything soggy or nasty at all. I pick up a decadent vanilla scent with a doughy quality. I smelled this on myself when I woke up the next morning ( I’m assuming it was my clothes that it lasted on ) and got whiffs of it all day long. Needless to say, I purchased 5 bottles. The cinnamon sugar scent was too similar like crumb couture or very vanilla from VS for me to make that my favorite, and the birthday cake one was too light. always give a scent a chance for yourself before making a decision!

I've actually surprised myself with how much I love this and I am fickle with my milky frags. This is a sweet sugary cereal milk with a likeable cornflake/rice crispy quality that probably prevents this from becoming way too sugary sweet. It's nostalgic, edible and honestly pretty comforting. Currently loving spraying this on my sweaters for a cozy nighttime fix. Very much recommend this as a bed scent. (Btw, this is the only thing I've enjoyed from this collection. Everything else had made me nauseous :/).

I loved this so much I bought two bottles, but i think when it gets warmer I'll be putting it away til fall/winter. At first it's really corn flakey! but as it settles, I get warm, sweet vanilla marshmallows. It's pretty one note, but its so good. Seems to be 50/50 with half the folk enjoying and the other half getting pee and corn flakes. Thankfully I get the warm vanilla marshmallow scent. I probably only have another month or two of wearing this and then I'll keep it packed away til fall.

First of all, this scents longevity is crazy!!! I love milk scents so this is perfect for me, I can see why some say it smells spoiled, it's just warm sweet milk to me, with some starchiness in the background. I love it I wear it to bed (to save the noses of the public) almost every night especially in the winter. It's actually just so good I can't hush up about it, it's so cozy and comforting (i have 6 bottles of this thanks to semi annual sale, and im not mad about it)

Okay y’all, this is a very good Lactonic scent! I’d say pretty photorealistic! Very sweet and creamy. Much more sweet than fresh cream philosophy. While I don’t get the ice cream note persay the milk and sugar cereal is pronounced: with this said.. it works best on skin and LESS is more! I find that it layers AMAZIng with vanilla bean Noel Vs its respective lotion. It brings out the sugar vs the milk/ .. it’s warm:: sweet, cozy and less is more ;)

idk why everyone is saying it smells bad . It smells so goodddd. The initial spray is like similar to sol de janeiro 71 like a bakery smell ???But that last for a minute and when it settles into the skin it’s like a condensed milk smell and some kind of white chocolate and on me the smell lasts so well. But beware this is for TRUE gormand lovers if you don’t like those kind of scents your probably not gonna like this fragrance.

3 scents: milk, sugar, cereal (from most to least predominant) This doesn't smell spoiled or anything like that to me at all. Smells like sweet milk with a little hint of corn flakes/cereal and not in a popcorny scent way. It's perfect and smells like the name. One of the best milk scents I've smelled! I imagine this would really smell so good in the shower. Hope to get the body cream.

Omg this smells amazing! I thought cereal milk sounded disgusting but I was wrong! I love the Birthday Cake scent but wasn’t really interested in the others but just bought them out of curiosity because they were on sale and OMG! I love every scent in this line!! I haven’t tried the peppermint one, yet, because it’s on the way. This one is a gourmand lovers dream!!

I have genuinely never bought perfume, cologne, or any other spray-able scented product before this. I got the soap version of this, and loved it so much I bought the perfume. Take that as you will. This smells like you shoved cereal and vanilla ice cream into a bottle, then proceeded to shake it up and pour it down yourself. Luckily, I actually like that.

I get that it’s not everyone’s taste but I am def in love with this one ! The sugary milk note omgg I love it so much ! Packaging also very very cute and it’s one of the reasons I got this baby you all ! Try this spray if you love milky sugary scents . And it stays on my clothes for 10 hours or so :) I like to smell it on me even after all those hours

It smells *exactly* like rice krispy treats. It takes the whole cereal milk thing very literal. It's really sweet, but not necessarily in an artificial way like strawberry poundcake. I personally love this scent. It is a weaker one though, it doesn't really project but lasts a little while on my clothes. Layering might help it last longer.

I am addicted to this scent. It smells like frosted flakes and rice crispy treats in the best way. It's such a nostalgic scent, it's giving "end of the bowl cereal milk" vibe. I dont understand the hate for this scent! I love it. I think its a delicious, creamy, malty, sweet scent. People are complaining about the corn/malty note, but it is called cereal milk. That note is to be expected especially with corn flakes on the bottle! Its super photo realistic, I wear it almost every day.

This is so good! It smells like marshmallow treats! When I first smelled it, the corn cereal note was so strong, but the more I sprayed it, the more I got the sweet marshmallow. Now ive got the spray, cream, body wash, candle and hand sanitizer. It's really one of my favorite sprays that I own!

In the winter on skin, it’s more cereal and more less soft serve milkiness. Smells more soft serve milky on clothes. Since now the weather is more warmer, the soft serve comes out more on skin as well. I love it. Could be a nice gourmand for summer as well, if it’s not too hot.

An instant LOVE for me. It smelled familiar but I couldn't quite place it at first, then it hit me: This reminds me so much of Snif's Crumb Couture. It's not identical, but it's damn close. I'm sad I missed out on the bigger sizes of this; all that's left are the minis.

Smells like vanilla ice cream and rice crispy treats. I love it. Very sweet and cozy. The candle has more of the cereal smell and the body spray has more of the vanilla ice cream. It reminds me a bit of Lick Me. Has good longevity for a body spray, about 5-6 hours.

This smells EXACTLY like a cereal with sprinkles that I vividly remember from my childhood. I can't place it, but a Google search tells me it was probably Sprinkled Donut Cap'n Crunch. Photorealistic, sugary Rice Krispies with sprinkles in milk. Delicious.

Imagine eating a bowl of rice krispy treat cereal with a bit of sugar. As you finish the bowl and go to drink the milk, you get that sweet, milky scent that follows. That’s what this smells like, the milk of a finished bowl of rice krispy treats 🥛🥣

super yummy. a powdery, sweet milky punch (like melty vanilla ice cream or condensed milk) with a slight nutty oatiness that creeps up!! no sour milk scent like others are saying, definitely gonna be wearing this for the rest of the winter

Smells exactly like soft serve ice cream with a hint of cornflakes, very photorealistic. Milk scents can be hit or miss and sometimes can give a sour/off smell but this one isn't one of them. Definitely thing B&BW should make it permanent!

Notes are: soft ice cream, golden cornflakes, frosted sugar. To sum it up "sweetened milk/sugary milk". That's all you need to know! A bowl of cereal with milk which we all have eaten for breakfast. It feels like a singular scent because not much is going on. It's just 2 notes milk and cornflakes. In the initial spray you will smell that crunchy sweet cornflakes, don't be weirded out ( even if you do i get it 😅) by it because it's toasty and warm. It also fades away quickly & as it starts to settle in you start smelling the delicious milk (think vanilla ice cream cone with crunchy cornflakes to chew on or rice crispy treats) like sweetness & in the complete dry down all you smell is sweet milk which is sweetened up by sugar with no cornflakes to detect anymore. It's simple, lactonic and sweet but not creamy as you would hope for a milk scent to be but for an artificial foody scent this one is quite impressive. Props for thinking out of the box. The cornflakes note is definitely a unique take on the everyday gourmand scent. However, Some will find the milk note to be spolied, some will find the cornflakes note to be funky smelling, some will find the entire scent to be too childish, artificial, rancid so you can take all of the reviews left in here with a pinch of salt because this scent will leave different impression on everyone because of that cornflakes note. Not to mention since this is also a cereal milk leaning scent and not everyone wants to smell like that so the reviews will not be unanimously agreed upon. To me, It's a simple & fun scent. It's on the juvenile side and not much useful for those who are looking for a decadent creamy lactonic kind of experience. I personally found it sugary sweet instead of being creamy frothy decadent sweet milk. I have to admit i was initially a bit taken aback because the cornflakes note smelt rancid and unpleasant to me. But i warmed up to it & since the cornflakes note doesn't stay forever so i can bear with it for a few minutes, after that it's just sugary gourmand treat 😋 I can see this being used as a good layering scent to amplify the sweetness of your extremely rich gourmand perfumes. On its own it can be used in home if you want to feel warm, cozy & not in the mood to do anything serious while being a couch potato. Winter would be the best time for the mist to shine but since the sweetness isn't that cloying so you can use it in any season particularly during the day time. Projection is medium & the longevity is 5+ hours on my skin but you have to generously spray it to create that scent bubble. It's not a weak or beast mode fragrance so one can be creative with this scent 🥰

I was skeptical to try a lactonic fragrance due to the 'sour milk' effect some people talk about, but I thankfully never got that here! The scent itself is less juvenile (for those who care about that) than I was expecting -- the oat-like cornflake accord combined with the powdery sugar note somehow keep it from feeling too childish, but not too grandma-ish either. The drydown is a pleasant vanilla skin scent. I usually don't care to discuss longevity when talking about Bath & Body Works' products, as the brand isn't known for that in the slightest... but holy Hell. I don't know what kind of witchcraft they used to produce this, but it lasted for the entirety of my 7 hour restaurant shift. It could just be a case of skin chemistry, but it was so surprising to me that I figured I'd mention it.

upon initial spray this is very lactonic, almost overwhelmingly so, but thankfully it quickly settles into a nice vanilla ice cream scent with a hint of cereal. as the day goes on, it fades into a more generic sweet sugary vanilla. on me it lasts maybe 3 hours or so. i like it, but it isn't a standout in my collection

it smells the best from a distance, you will definitely notice a milky scent if you are huffing it up close

I tested this in store the other day and the opening spray was RANCIDLY sweet. It made my boyfriend gag lol. I've only recently gotten deeply into fragrances, but I've never ever smelt something that genuinely just smelt like FOOD. Like actual frosted-flakes and milk with a pound of sugar that had been sitting on the counter for an hour. It was kind of fun, honestly, but I could never wear it myself. The dry down on a tester was a more gentle vanilla sweet and actually nicely creamy, I liked it a lot! I just really could NOT handle the initial spray to the point that it ruins whatever amazing dry down I'd get. I'd assume the longevity is eh as most B&BW stuff usually is, but the initial spray was so strong I'm led to believe it might last longer than the others.

I really wanted to like this scent. It kind of smells like vanilla sweetened almond milk, vanilla with too sweet creaminess which can be overwhelming, which I did really love and got compliments on! But! I could not get over the corn flakes note. Its not an overwhelming note but I could distinctly smell the corn for hours and I just don't want to smell like my dog stepped in my cereal.

I like where this was going but somewhere down the scent hole they miss something and I can’t put my finger on it. I’m going to try this with a banana bread body oil.

I wanted to love this SO bad. Lactonic fragrances are literally my kryptonite and when I saw this, I immediately assumed I would love it based on the descriptions (frosted flakes cereal milk? sold.) and I even bought backup bottles, the body cream AND body wash, lmao. This does not smell anything like I was hoping for or expecting. To my nose, it’s giving super dried out Cornflakes (not Frosted Flakes, which is way more sugary to me). I’m really hoping it’ll grow on me, but for now it’s just, ugh...and this is coming from someone who typically loves these scents. It’s not creamy, it’s not milky, it’s not sugary, it doesn’t smell like milk after you’ve finished cereal; none of that. B&BW’s base ‘Milk’ fragrance smells WAY better and is 100% lactonic and gives off that “leftover cereal” vibe this one fails to do. If you’re interested in this, I would absolutely suggest smelling it in store first and wouldn’t consider this blind buy friendly at all.
