Charmed Life

Most of the scents are pretty generic to my nose as of lately. Forever Sunshine was nice and I'm glad I have it but this one is even twice as good and I would defintely tell someone, YES! buy it! It's perfect for just about any time of year but this scent makes me want to put on a big ol' fluffy sweater and spray this under it. I'm loving this scent! I think if you like BS Fantasy, you'd love this! I may be wrong but I think this is the best in the last few years from Bath and Body Works! It's not THAT different than many scents out there but it's sure one of the best when it comes to a budget and affordability! Twenty dollars with a coupon, great buy and terrific gift! This should be popular with young girls and elegant enough for anyone over that age! I'm very impressed with this creamy, sweet, and proper scent for the masses!

This is just a little touch up on my former review.... Does anyone else get mega compliments with this scent? If I get near anyone, it's like....SOMEthing smells good, WHAT do I smell? WHO has perfume on? What IS that? It doesn't smell like any particular thing but I hear....That just smells SO GOOD. This is a most friendly scent. It likes to interact with people.

This was easily one of my favorite BBW scents. I was so disapointed when it was discontinued... I still have the lotion though. I love the vanilla and pear!

I love this one form BBW! I can definitely pick up on the juicy guava, sparkling pear and creamy vanilla musk notes in this one.

Fruity, creamy, sweet and not much else. Charmed Life is a cute scent that smells nice but I don't like it enough to actually wear it. It truly reminds me of a lighter Jessica Simpson Fancy and a fruitier Victoria's Secret Heavenly Stardust. And since I have owned and worn both of those, I find this one to be rather boring. :( I like the opening notes since they are juicy and bright but that lasts only a few seconds and then, all I am left with is that same creamy and sweet nuance that I've grown accustomed to. If you don't own the two fragrances that I previously mentioned then this would be a good deal. :) Charmed Life lasts a good 6hrs on my skin with a nice sillage. I also only paid $12 for my 2.5oz Edt since it has been discontinued. But, if you own either of the aforementioned fragrances then you aren't missing anything at all! Those similarities are quite distinct and that may be the biggest reason Charmed Life didn't sell well. Been there, done that, pass! P.S. This definitely isn't better than Be Enchanted ( my current fave)! Not even close! o.O

First Impressions (from memory): I remember this one from childhood. I did remember it specifically in the summer when I took swimming lessons. I liked it overall, and it’s the better ones out of the Bath & Body Works collection. I do remember it being a little cloyingly sweet, but it was okay for my age. This reminds me of swim lessons in the pool on school summer break. Note to Bath & Body Works: I’m gonna say this in every post about Bath & Body Works. BRING BACK FRESH VANILLAS DREAM ON!!!! I know it is a Victorious secret product, but I specifically remember buying the last bottle from Bath & Body Works. Either that or it is the Mandela effect, but I’m doubting considering there was no Victoria Secret in my small town mall. Verdict: Pass- young nostalgic summer break in the pool.

I got this as a free gift with an online order before it came out. It's ok smelling; bright, a little flirtatious, and sparkling. It kind of puts me in mind of a Paris Hilton perfume. I like it, but I don't love it. I think you could wear it year round and it seems to be a non-offensive frag, so it would probably be safe for work too. I've noticed that it's got some of the same notes as Britney Spears' Believe, though to me, the pralines aren't as predominant in Charmed Life as they are in Believe nor does it last as long. Honestly, if it hadn't been a free gift, I probably would have skipped it, but what can I say, it was free.

I really like this scent, and yes, am I picky when it comes to BBW's scents. Some smell nice, some are duplicates of previously released scents and well, there are those that smells distinctly DIFFERENT.. like this one. For me, its a blend of good smelling Vanilla-based cake and freshly sliced guava / pear. Its an all-summery kinda scent! Don't know why BBW suddenly discontinued it. I stocked up on the EDT, the body cream, the body splash AND the shower gel..I guess I planned on hanging on to this scent for a while. LOL :)

This is one of my happy bbw scents. It goes on with a splash of fresh juiciness, great for morning pick me up time! I have the edt and body mist and find that layered they have a decent staying power . A perfect gourmand-fresh frag to wear at home, shopping, with friends or simly after the shower. There are no harsh notes coming from this charm and it would suit a girl as much as a woman. Quite happy this made a return in my local bbw! A keeper..until it goes away again!

Exotic. Juicy. Sweet. Creamy. I really enjoyed this. First it smells like luscious juicy Gauva's which reminds me of being on holiday in the Caribbean, I can smell a bit of the pear too. It then develops into a creamy warmer but yet still a tropical scent as the Guava lingers. The coconut and the vanilla adds to the creaminess. This is a pretty great all rounder. It's tropical and fruity enough for the warmer months yet warm and sweet enough for the colder ones. Lovely.

A fruity vanilla. Starts off with a lot of sweet fruits and a fair dose of vanilla. After it settles, I get mainly a warm creamy vanilla scent, not much fruit or florals. I like this because it's not as sugary as some other fruity vanilla scents, while the pear and guava provide a different fruitiness than the berries I usually wear. I find this to be a warm cuddly scent, good for colder weather.

I agree with Mandashell on the comparison to Charmed Life being similar to a fruity version of VS Heavenly Stardust, I like Charmed Life better though. It's lighter, more feminine, and I would definitely wear this more. I really like the fruity creamy vanilla vibe it has. Good sillage and staying power, mellow and enjoyable, glad to have it.

Had this on lotion. Smells nice, girly and powdery. The lotion has a good effect on my skin, making it soft the whole day.

This scent has a big launch a few months ago and is now being put on clearance. Wonder what that means in terms of likeability. Paris Amour, Forever Sunshine, Dark Kiss, even Sea Island Cotton and Twilight Woods are just better. Everyone likes different things and that makes the perfume world go 'round, but this was just the Guava bandwagon. There was a pommegranate bandwagon, and a pear, strawberry. For some reason I received several forms of this as gifts, anything I couldn't exchange, I gave away. The young relations said "big yuck" and wanted Sweet Pea, Dark Kiss, Paris Amour and Twilight Woods. Get it while you can, it is a great buy, there was a ton of stock when I went in recently, but at any price, it is still "meh".

Terrible! All I smelled was strong baby powder after I applied this product and it gave me a bad headache. It does not at all have any fruit notes that I can detect. I only smell the heavy, heavy musk and strong powdery notes. This fragrance seems very mature considering the packaging denotes that it's for a younger audience. I'm hoping this will stay limited edition, retire, and become replaced with a new fragrance. I highly do not recommend.

Smells amazing! I got it for half off, B&BW was having a sale, so I got it and it smells AMAZING. So sweet, simple, and awesome. For the winter I put the mini lotion in my purse for when my hands get dry. Can't get enough of the scent!

This is a very strong scent, too strong for my taste. I don't smell anything fruity about it, in fact all I get out of it is a very strong baby powder. Not for me.

Charmed Life is almost a dupe for Lancôme's La Vie Est Belle. Even the name "Charmed Life" is another way of saying La Vie Est Belle French for Life Is Beautiful. But don't dismiss this fragrance as a worthless dupe. It smells really nice and it's even fruitier and sweeter than La Vie Est Belle. Truthfully while I do like La Vie Est Belle I prefer this one because it has more notes and has more scents to enjoy. The guava is clearly there when you first spray it. I detect a pear and sweetness of berries. So it starts really fruity. The fruitiness is there for the long haul and in fact I would say that this is mostly a fruity perfume. Even after the peony and lily of the valley begin to emerge the guava is still present. After a while there's an apricot scent very jammy and delicious, followed by coconut, milky, sweet. Then there's a generous dose of vanilla. The vanilla is the big player here especially at the end but I could also detect that praline and a light touch of musk. A sweet and pretty fragrance to wear in the day time. Nothing extraordinary just casual and sweet enough to wear as you go about your day. The scent is actually quite subtle and doesn't project too much. I've worn it many times and no one can smell it on me. Perfect for layering with other fruity florals and a good perfume to match up with shampoos and hair gels that have fruit scents like apple, passion fruit, or vanilla. The vanilla in this perfume is so nice. The price is very affordable and you get so much out of it too. I think about perfume not only as a luxury but as a practical thing. You can wear one every day if you know which one and where, and what time of year. This one is for cool spring months or warm summer months. Very pretty.

Some years ago I discovered my love for the scent of guava in fragrances, with Believe by Britney Spears having been the scent that inspired it all. I happened upon Charmed Life in the body mist concentration whilst on an overseas holiday and promptly purchased a bottle when I discovered that guava was one of its main accords. For at least two summers, Charmed Life was my go-to for sweltering, intensely hot weather. It was a beautiful mix of fruity and sweet, subdued enough in the body mist form that I could apply it quite liberally to my entire body. The perfume although similar to the mist was a little heavier, and were in my opinion better suited to Spring and Autumn which are not typically the seasons that I crave fruity and/or guava dominant fragrances. To this day I have never gone through a bottle of fragrance so quickly as I did with Charmed Life. I sprayed it like it was water, and I kind of miss it now that it's gone. I am keen to explore more of the Bath and Body Works mists as I found through experimentation that I am quite partial to mists in Summer, especially with the dry, unrelenting summers that I experience where I live.

I got this on clearance. I don't wear it enough- everytime I do, my six year old says I smell 'good'. My husband says, 'whats that smell?' LOL. pretty different from Twilight Woods fragrance spray. I am struggling with a head cold, and I have to say, this spray made me feel happy, not sick and ready to go drive in the 10 degree weather and snow. Its sparkling, summery and puts me in mind of nothing else I own, due to the guava topnotes. I like it, but I don't love it. Its non-offensive and every time I wear it I think, why don't I wear it more? I dig the top and middle notes, but my nose can not detect much vanilla or praline. Sad, because I love vanilla. Maybe my nose just got used to the stronger scents I have with vanilla as a dry down. For me, the fruitiness is somewhat long lasting (3-4 hours) and stays on my clothes. I really like that in a fragrance:)
