Christmas Cocoa & Mint

This scent is dangerous: anytime I put it on, I suddenly want to inhale a box of Thin Mint cookies. A Girl Scout Troop could make a fortune off me in the winter months when I'm slathering myself in this scent. Christmas Cocoa and Mint gives off a strong Thin Mint vibe: you smell the bit of crumbly cookie, the waxy chocolate, the cooling mint. As always with these type of scents, I feel the chocolate part could be a bit stronger and/or last longer as it's the first note to fade away into nothing. The longevity of the scent overall is very short, but I'm so hooked to the initial smell that I don't mind reapplying. This is a nice addition to their rotating Christmas scents and one I'd like to see return again in a more potent formula.

I got this for just a couple of dollars on clearance at TJ Maxx since it was missing the spray top. Once I finished off another bottle of perfume at home, I cleaned and put the spray top from that one on this bottle and it fit just right. Now I can enjoy this body spray! I really don't see how it's specifically a "Christmas" scent since it just smells like mint chocolate chip ice cream to me. Sillage and longevity aren't the best, but then again, it's a "fine fragrance mist" and not an eau de parfum. The bottle is certainly big enough and the product inexpensive enough (especially at the price I got it at) to warrant reapplying during the day, but I generally just wear it at home when I want to feel nice. I have my bottle sitting next to my computer at home. I think it's a good scent for summer since it reminds me of ice cream, but could certainly be nice for fall and winter as well since it's "cozy".

This is 100% mint cocoa - spot-on, hyper-realistic, and projects like a beast! I actually had to step back when smelling because it was SO strong (in a good way!). I can see the parallels people are making to thin mint cookies and mint chocolate chip ice cream - but to me it's neither of those... as it lacks a cookie/baked good note, and also isn't as lactonic as ice cream is IMO. The cooling blast of mint from the opening balances well with the sweetness of the cocoa, and does soften a bit within a few minutes - to a mostly-hot cocoa dry-down (with a hint of mint in the base). I can't wait to wear this one for the holidays. It's so icy, realistic, and festive!

-I'm starting to think mint cookies are scented after this, and not the other way around. -Delicious pick-me-up scent that fades within 5 minutes. -Dries down heavily lactonic.
