Coconut Lime Verbena

Ejjhaaa...! I said it first when I faced the first blowing. In winter wrong ... to recall the imaginary boiling summer experience, which lures a smile onto our face always. :)

I had a travel small version of the lotion. Even a hotel one. Someone gave it to me and I threw it in the cupboard "for a rainy day" in case my body product unexpectedly runs out. And that's what happened. Looking for something to smear myself with, I found this guy in the cosmetic bins. Silence. The first thought was "where did I smell it before?" The scent simply sent me back to the 2010 (approximately), when I, being a schoolgirl and a fan of cosmetics catalogs, ordered the cheapest perfume from Oriflame, and which will be so imprinted in my olfactory memory. I remembered this scent and have never heard anything similar. I have 200 perfumes in my collection, and I have never been able to find a single one that would remind me of this one. I have been looking for such a coconut for a long time, exactly this combination of citrus, sweetness and lightness. I was very disappointed that when I looked on the Internet, I saw that this fragrance had long been discontinued. Although I only had body cream, I always dreamed of buying it somewhere. It was quite expensive on the sales platforms. And then, having already resigned myself to the fact that I would never find it, I saved a little cream, so that when I was not in the mood, I would only need to smear it on my hands and delve into memories. And then I received an email (I never open ads) and I was surprised that verbena was back! I immediately ordered a spray, gel, two creams and one lotion. And now I'm waiting, I want to hear if it will be the same?

So this is back. Doesn’t smell like the original (2003) though. That one I liked because it wasn’t coconut heavy, it was subtle. More lime and vanilla to my nose, subtle on the coconut, a hint of verbena. The original notes were coconut, lime, verbena, vanilla and musk (no clue where fragrantica got that notes pyramid from?). Current version in store smells like the Bodycology or Walmart knock offs that came out at the time this scent was popular, in that it’s heavier on the artificial coconut, not as much lime, and missing that nice vanilla dry down. They list the notes now as being sparkling key lime, jasmine and coconut water. So disappointing :(.

I don't have this perfume but I have the body spray and I love it! Perfect for summer. It's so light and fresh you could basically spray it on all day if you wanted to. Perfect for those long sweaty days when you just want to refresh yourself. I hope to get the perfume someday. There are just so many scents that are wonderful and BBW, its hard to choose just one. I would also like to try DKNY Pure Verbena, sounds good. P.S. I agree, I don't note much coconut really.

The original from 2003 had a bright, lime-verbena opening. When it dried down, it was more vanilla than coconut. Similar vanilla scent to the one from their original Warm Vanilla Sugar. This spurred tons of copy-cats from different brands, which at this point I’d be happy to get my hands on, but many of them have been discontinued too. The Coconut Lime Breeze that came later was more lime, and didn’t have as much (or any) vanilla.
