Coffee & Whiskey

This shares notes from two different worlds so both sexes could pull it off. There must be some amber in this along with the coffee whiskey notes, and to me that's the only masculine note in it (the amber), which many feminine perfumes also have, like the amber in Fairytale and it makes it slightly manly to my nose and that's Fairytale's beauty. The beauty of this though is the intoxicating whiskey and the gourmand cozy vibe that the sweetened coffee gives. I love masculine scents, but some smell like sweat and cigarettes on me. This one doesn't. The opening on me is sweet yet very balsamic, so much that it reminds me of the Tiramisu cake where there is coffee and liqueur in the base (at least the way we make it in Europe). I also compared it side by side to VS Vanilla Clouds with the cottonwood and toasted Hazelnut and well they are very similar, almost identical (cannot see much of a difference at their drydown), Vanilla Clouds being more feminine, sweeter due to the vanilla, but with a masculine tone and intense amber (cottonwood whatever it is anyway), with the hazelnut giving a mocha type of scent. At the opening of Coffee & Whiskey I smell something almost green, maybe it's the whiskey with possibly some amber, amber always smells "green" to me for some reason, hard to describe it. That's a nice contrast and pairs well with the coffee note, again reminiscent of Mocha or Hazelnut. The Vanilla Mocha Creme of BBW would be the girly version of this, but I prefer this bad boy. The drydown is more masculine, almost like Iggy's perfume which again is unisex, but more masculine than this one actually. I can imagine this on a guy, the manly notes will be more prominent on their skin than on mine. It is a neutral fragrance emulating the smell of coffee, coffee with cream, but without being bitter or reminiscent of fake bake which usually has a dirty stale-coffee-stain type of smell that Britney's Private Show kinda has. It is what I wanted Sugar Cherry Crisp to smell like, because something about it reminds me of coffee, but it's too syrupy sweet even though I like it too. This is for women who don't like overly sweet, overpowering scents. It actually is similar to Private Show, sweeter and 10 times better, since it lacks the harsh bitter stale coffee scent of that one and because it is smooth, as if there is some cream in it, yet I can still smell the rich coffee. It is a cozy comforting scent that adapts to the chemistry of the wearer and can compliment men and women. The whiskey is like a Baileys liqueur on me. It adds a balsamic tone to it, more prominent at the opening and then when I smell my skin up close it is like sweet liqueur. The whiskey note is subtle and maybe if it had more of it, then it'd be more masculine. I am not a coffee lover, I am allergic to most caffeine in fact, except from Greek coffee that does not cause me issues with my heart rate, but I love certain coffee scents. I find this even better than Black Opium, both being a little balsamic. It's like a Demeter scent that just describes a particular smell or feeling, like the coffee with cream in the morning, the smell of coffee beans inside a coffee shop like the ones we have in Greece, especially the coffee that is sweetened or flavored. I was hesitant to buy it since it's marketed for men, but it smells feminine on my skin and I love all its stages, it becomes sweeter and smoother on my skin with time while at first it is bolder and with some sweet cold bitterness that of crude coffee beans. It could easily be in the Aromatherapy line which features more crude realistic smells. It's something the men in my family would not wear. It's for the men that like gourmand scents and like to experiment.

Edit: Okay I am changing this to an unequivocal love. This is gorgeous. Maybe my bottle needed to settle a bit? But it’s rich and decadent and I get that booziness now along with the coffee and I love how this is not linear at all. You did well, Bath and Body Works. You did really well. Got this today because honestly, coffee and whiskey sounds phenomenal and even if I have a few perfumes with a prominent coffee note (like Britney Spears Private Show and Dolce Gabbana The Only One) I don’t have a boozy one. My first impression is that it is... weak? Like I was expecting a powerhouse but it definitely is much softer. Or at least on my skin. I can smell it when I dig my nose into my wrist, but not much otherwise. When I do smell it, it is amazing - that I have to admit. I don’t get a whole lot of booziness unless you count the alcoholic opening (not in the sense I wanted it to be boozy, know what I mean?) but I do get coffee flavoured hard candy. I don’t have anything quite like it in my collection and I love it. The dry down turns beautifully woody on my skin - I swear I smell sandalwood. It’s almost addictive. I can’t stop sniffing myself. Overall I really like it. I would have loved it to perform better on my skin, but I’m hoping overspraying will help. I have been wearing quite a lot of BBW Sweet Whiskey and Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte these days and I can see both of these layering really well with this scent. But I love Coffee and Whiskey on its own so much I might not even layer it with anything else.

This is a sugary gourmand with lots of vanilla. I'm shocked vanilla isn't listed in the notes. On me, this smells like a sweet, spiked vanilla latte. The coffee note is definitely there underneath the sweetness, but if you're looking for a photorealistic coffee bean or black coffee scent, this isn't for you. The whiskey is difficult for me to smell, it adds a slightly boozy quality to the vanilla but doesn't stand out on its own. The longevity is decent, I get 3-6 hours of smell out of about 3-4 sprays, and it will linger a little longer than that on clothing. The sillage is also decent, it won't overpower a room but someone passing you in the hall will definitely pick up on it. It's definitely more of a fall/winter scent, but it's good for both day and nighttime, especially if layered with something darker/spicier for evening. I've layered this with different woody, spicy, and resinous perfume oils + essential oils and it works well with all of them. Overall, this is a wonderful fall/winter sweet gourmand and one of my personal favorites. It's a good value for the price. It's a crowd pleaser; I get lots of compliments when wearing it from both men and women. It leans feminine due to the vanilla, but I think a man still could pull this off well, especially if it's layered right. If you're looking for a sweet, slightly boozy coffee scent, you'll love Coffee & Whiskey.

Picked the cologne up in December 2022 alongside the body spray can as I was in B&BW one day and randomly smelled it. Smelled like Christmas in a cologne. The cologne: to me it smells like Baileys Irish Cream or a Starbucks Vanilla Latte. Very wintery scent. The initial opening is a warm, sugary, vanilla scent. I can smell the coffee somewhat in the background and barely smell any whiskey. It smells a little powdery on occasion. I loved the cologne because it smelled very light and feminine to me. I gave it to my girl, I love smelling it on her. The body spray: to me it smells like straight up coffee grounds, like someone that has been working around coffee all day long. A medium to dark roasted coffee. It is somewhat nice when layered onto the cologne in the way that it prolongs the coffee smell on the cologne’s vanilla dry down. I prefer more to layer the body spray with Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille. Disappointed that the cologne is disappearing, as expected of B&BW. The cologne is personally ruined for me as I sat and continued smelling it one day. Sometimes the dry down smells somewhat like buttered popcorn to me, can’t get the smell out of my mind and ruined the scent for me. I still love the opening warm scent though. The body spray kinda saves it.

I'm a woman and I absolutely love this! Bath & body works was having a sale on their handsoaps and the minute I sniffed the coffee & whiskey I fell in love and said to myself "if they made this in a perfume I would wear it". When I found out they made this in the men's section I didnt care and bought it right away off of ebay for $20. At first it had too much of that cologne vibe in the background, so I let it macerate for about a week and came back to it. It smells absolutely divine now! That sharp cologne vibe disappeared. It's creamy, coffee, boozy & smooth. Although it doesn't have vanilla in it the whiskey dries down into a boozy creamy vanilla note with a touch of the coffee still lingering slightly in the background. I've been wearing it to bed since new jersey is still hot & humid. Cannot wait to wear this baby in the fall/winter, it's so cozy and delicious especially paired with the EOS vanilla cashmere lotion😋 P.s. Ladies do not be afraid to purchase! You can absolutely pull this deliciousness off! If you like the handsoap you'll definitely love the cologne.

Hands down, my favorite bath and body scent. Works great layered with lotion, mist, cologne. Also Works well with black opium and britney spears perogative. It smells amazing and lasts hours on skin. At first, it's noticeable arm's length away but it gets softer. Or I get nose blind after awhile. This combination smells as good as coffee break by mmm. Lasts longer than that one does. And costs much less for the body lotion, mist and britney spears perfume. Honestly 1000 percent . happy with my purchase and will buy it all again. Coffee and whiskey is awesome. Edit: have bought coffee and coconut body scrub, coffee and whiskey body wash, coffee and whiskey cologne, autumn shores vs mist and lotion, vanilla mocha martini mist and I plan to layer those as well. Not all at once but play with it until I find the right combo. So far I love coffee and whiskey mixed with britneys perogative. My go to. Still lasts long. Sometimes I add choco musk.

This smells so good! The opening starts off with a very cologne-y smell (obviously, since it’s for men) but that kinda fades as the perfume develops into a sexy blend of the most realist smelling freshly ground coffee and a bit of sweetness with a soft aromatic base. It smells slightly boozy in the dry down. After about 30 minutes or so, this smells so intoxicating. It becomes sweeter but just enough. I don’t find it creamy at all. It’s perfectly unisex. I pair it up with BBW Midnight amber glow body lotion and it smells delicious. It lasts for about 7-8 hours on my skin and even longer on clothes. Very inoffensive and I’d wear this all year round. Not too thick/dense, perfectly balanced. Update: Holy smokes! Y’all gotta try pairing this up with Zara golden decade or Libre Intense! It smells absolutely stunning. This is a wild combo here. Elevates this scent to another level. Uff.

Edit: I wore this all summer but it really shines in colder weather. Chocolatey, creamy, comforting, work appropriate, everyone is drinking coffee in the office anyway. I went to Sephora to try out the Margiela Replica Coffee Break. If you added lavender as the base layer to this, it would be very similar. I like this fragrance isn't intense enough to offend and can be built up with layering so many different notes depending on what you want to bring out in it. I layer it with Smoked Old Fashioned a lot, but I'm going to run out soon (I hope they bring Smoked Old Fashioned, my #1 favorite Bath and Body Works Fragrance). I love a great unisex scent from bbw. Layer with the body cream for longevity. I just bought a few products from the Coffee & Whiskey line to finish my holiday shopping early

Easy blind buy if you're into coffee scents. It smells close to what you'd imagine from the notes, a nice roasted coffee smell with a splash of whiskey & vanilla. Just enough variation from a coffee-only smell to be interesting. Sweet enough to be cozy without being cloying. Be careful to not overspray this one because it's strong for a B&BW frag, and the longevity is also very good, I think somewhere in the realm of 5 hours before it becomes very close to a skin scent? I could smell it on me 12 hours after applying a few times. It's definitely more of a night scent, but depending on the temp could easily be worn in the day. For the price it's a no-brainer and honestly backup bottle worthy.

This is gold. Smells good and lasts longer than most b&bw fragrances I’ve tried. It’s not a super realistic coffee note but I don’t care for how much I love this. I wore this two a work social event and it became the topic of conversation. Two coworkers wasted no time and bought a bottle on the spot after I told them what it was. This is Crowd pleasing for a cheap price but not a cheap quality. I bought two bottles for $20 each when they were on sale and I regret nothing. Combine it with the coffee & whiskey body wash and lotion to smell good for over 10 hours. This might be the best B&BW scent ever, slightly better than mahogany woods. 8/10 ⭐️

I tried the cologne mist as a fluke. Let me say this best mistake ever, it was sitting on the sink in the communal bathroom at work. Boy oh Boy , this scent is SO GOOD! It lasted a long amount of time surprisingly, considering the regular body mists don't last at all. This is what I WISH FINERY MIDNIGHT CAFE smelled like. All I really pick up on is a light coffee smell and the most pleasant note of Whiskey. This is a very unisex fragrance, I never really felt "sexy" before with a fragance..... until this. Now I'm determined to get the Entire Collection when it goes on sale , and I'd love to layer this with BBW MIDNIGHT AMBER GLOW.

So good! I'm giving this to my husband for his birthday and I hope he'll wear it cuz I find it to be a very smooth, sexy fragrance. I sprayed it on myself and used the body cream on my hands while he was on a hunting trip to test the longevity etc. A bolder woman could probably make this work but I personally wouldn't wear it. Lasts a very, very long time and has about an arm's length silage. Very straight forward scent, I get more of a creamy whiskey on me and not much coffee, and like I said earlier, there's a smoothness to it. Completely addictive.

This one easily slid on to my weekly fall rotation tray and then I found myself buying 2 back-ups! I love this. It reminds me of another fragrance I enjoy, Eilish - it has that similar boozy, vanilla, dr. Pepper ~cherry cola~ vibe. But this one lasts much, much longer on my skin. There’s something extremely comforting about Coffee & Whiskey and it layers so nicely with Gingerbread Latte or Vanilla Bean Noel mist. I find this perfume to be unisex and totally suitable for women, as well. B&BW please don’t discontinue this gem.

This stuff is fantastic. Randomly tried it in the store and was very impressed. Irish whiskey must have a lot of vanilla bc it is very prominent in the opening. Sweet and warm, reminds me of a brown corduroy jacket for some reason. Then the coffee kicks in and it's what I thought Killian's Intoxicated would be, at a fraction of the cost. Project and longevity are excellent; could still pick it up after 10 hours. Something so simple yet so good, I should go grab another bottle before they reformulated or discontinue it. 9/10

I am a female and I love this so much! I am a coffee fanatic and I adore the scent of coffee. The caveat being that even though I love the smell of string brewed coffee, I don't necessarily want to smell like that all day if that makes any sense? This smells like boozy coffee while remaining perfumey! I love it so much. You can also layer with a vanilla if you want it even sweeter. It so good with Cheirosa 62, or Vanilla Bean Noel. Best part - it is dirt cheap and even cheaper on sale. If you love coffee - you NEED this.

After wearing Coffee & Whiskey ever since it came out, I have not grown tired of its unique smell. It stays fairly close to the skin and has a weaker projection after some wear. It has pretty straightforward notes, but this combination is honestly so comforting and feels warm and approachable for most. It truly is one of my most signature fragrances and I fall back in love with it every time I put it on. Its one of the more simpler ones in my collection, but that in of itself makes it so much more surprising :)

as a woman, i love this fragrance, but i definitely think this a true unisex scent as long as you don't mind some sweetness. personally, i think i would really enjoy this scent on a man but i can see why others might argue that it's too sweet. the coffee is there but not overwhelming, but the whiskey is where it's at! it gives a sexy masculine edge with an almost honey-like sweetness. smooth and delicious, perfect for a cooler evening. longevity is solid but the projection on this fragrance is real!

it's a delicious boozy coffee. what a suprise from bbw! It's a rather linear fragrance, it starts and ends similarly. The initial notes are boozy with amber and coffee, with the drydown being more tonka bean, vanilla and wood notes. I get about 6 hrs longevity on this, and my girlfriend goes crazy for it as well! (she's a coffee lover) Best worn in the fall imo, and at night as well. it's sexy, boozy, and definitely not like your typical bbw cologne. Worth a shot especially at the great price point!

Absolutely LOVE this one. The first time I smelled it in the store I had to have it. I picked up the body cream, cologne, and body spray to touch up throughout the day. For me I get a lot of the coffee note as well as a really nice creamy vanilla. The boozieness of rhe fragrance doesn't tend to come in for me until later on in the dry down. All around when it comes to this one, when I'm wearing it I just feel very cozy and wanna give myself a constant hug. 100% will purchase again.

i have the body mist, so i can't say too much about the longevity or sillage, but the smell! initial spray is an intense coffee with boozy undertones, but after dry-down, it becomes a rich whisky scent with deep coffee notes. i think because the scent isn't super complex, its attractive to both masculine and feminine perfume enjoyers alike—also a good blind buy if you like coffee scents. SAVE THIS FOR FALL AND WINTER! 8/10 (+7 for good perfume quality, +1 for realistic booziness)
