Cue The Confetti

aaaandd they fucked up the notes again

had the lotion and ffm; i can't actively check the scent anymore because i lost the former a while back and the nozzle on the latter recently broke, so this review is from memory and mostly about the FFM. my main complaint with this perfume is that it always took so long to dry down relative to other perfumes; it just smelled like alcohol for a good 2-5 minutes. when it finally dries down, it doesn't really smell like blackberry much at all to me, but the "new years kiss" note is accurate, which i interpret as clear, shimmering, and a bit champagne-y. but none of the notes were really strong at all, this perfume is very neutral. i would maybe describe it as clean, but not as laundry. it really just reminds me of a generic drug store perfume. i don't even recall what made me want to purchase it, but i wouldn't purchase it again. it's not offensive, but it's too weak and neutral, so it's a 4/10 to me overall.

To me, this does not smell like the new Scent Labs mini Blackberry Burst (notes: juicy blackberry, sparkling pomegranate & a hint of musk); Cue the Confetti does indeed have a blackberry note, but the brightness & sweetness of it is blunted/dulled by some other note(s). However, adding Blackberry Burst on top of this makes it brighter, prettier & more likeable, in my opinion. On it's own, CtC is just okay to me, but layered with BB, it's a solid like!

@realle sparrow, the notes on the bottle are: "Shimmering blackberry and a New Year's kiss". So, the only real note that can be added by Fragrantica is "blackberry". B&BW really had nothing to say on this except “blackberry and a new years kiss” ok... Dear BBW, we need actual notes and if you have nothing else to say but blackberry then don’t come over here with that NY Kiss bs 😆😆
