Dahlia

Gorgeous. After wearing both Dahlia FFM & the original CH Good Girl EdP, I personally think that, after drying down, they are *very* similar, with the main difference in scent being that GG has a light patchouli note (which I find most noticeable right after initially spraying it) that I do not smell in Dahlia. So, essentially, to me, Dahlia FFM is GG EdP without patchouli & with less staying power. On the initial spray, the florals in GG are a bit screechy, although they soften fairly quickly & then the pear & the more gourmand praline note starts to become evident & makes the fragrance more delicious, complex & interesting; Dahlia, on the other hand goes straight into that balance. In other words, Dahlia is more linear to me & right away smells the way GG smells after settling on the skin for some time. To boost the longevity of Dahlia FFM (unless the EdP comes back!), I hope to get GG EdP & layer Dahlia FFM on top of it. After the June 2024 Semi-annual Sale, Dahlia is going to become an online exclusive (booo!), so if you can scoop some up at 75% off in stores during the summer SAS going on right now at the time of this review, I would encourage you to try to do so! This smells like Toasted Praline & Pear if it were a floral scent. This is so pretty and sophisticated. It's just gorgeous. I have seen a lot of reviews saying good things about it, so I got a bottle to test. My, was I pleasantly surprised. The review descriptions I saw weren't enough to give justice to how beautiful this smells. It's got the perfect blend of sweet, fresh, floral, fruity, and lactonic. The bottle and name look so simple and yet the juice is so complex and well-blended, I love it. This is an easy reach. Inoffensive, can be worn any time of the year, heck I'll just wear this any time I want to. The sillage is quite strong with the dahlia note, though it does fade quite quickly. The drydown is divine. Smells so expensive yet delicious when the pear and tonka bean take over. This is an absolute love for me. 100 out of 10 would always be in my collection.

Disclaimer: I’m not a biggest fan of body mists.I have some (that I reach some days when I want something extremely light). Most of them smell generic and synthetic, and last a whole 3 minutes on your body (without exaggerating). But thissss one omg, I love it so much. This is the nicest, creamiest (in praline way, not a milky creamy way) floral scent. It has this tonka vibe similar to GG by CH, but subtle and not as screechy, so I enjoy it even more. It lasts for few hours, and in hot weather projects pretty good, so I can smell it on myself. It’s not overpowering and feels cozy without becoming too gourmand. It reminds me a lot of dream angel (without berry note) by Victoria’s Secret, even more than it reminds me of GG by CH (which i also happen to like so probably I’m biased). But I srsly can’t get over how good this is.

I initially assumed that because of carnation this would smell very overpowering given the overpowering nature of carnation (I bought this online). But when I first sprayed it on myself I immediately got Good Girl by CH, but just a few seconds in it develops into a beautiful, sweet scent that is still reminiscent of Good Girl albeit less spicy and less strong (which in my opinion makes it so much better than Good Girl). I absolutely love this. Most BBW scents do not have strong sillage or longevity, but as a BBW collector this is definitely THE most powerful BBW mist in terms of sillage and longevity, it stays on for days on clothes!!! Not to mention the beautiful and satisying sillage.

This fragrance reminds me of a distant relative of fairytale - only because of its magical, mythical quality, more sweet, muted, and powdery. I think I like dahlia better. This fragrance is nice. It honestly smells more expensive than what it is. This fragrance in the same realm of their other more expensive smelling fragrances like Luminous, At the Beach, Japanese Cherry Blossom, and The retired Velvet Tuberose. I really can't argue with a lotion that I got for less than 5 USD$ that keeps my skin moisturized and smelling very close to Carolina Herrera's Good Girl. This is definitely a good dupe but not a spot on dupe. However, layered together, it ends up smelling so much like Good Girl. If you like Good Girl, you will like this too!

I have Good Girl and I don't know how anyone would compare Dahlia to it. Good Girl is much warmer and heavier than Dahlia. Dahlia is probably the body mist I wear most often from B&BW. It's just perfect to me where some of their sprays are just so gourmand and sweet you nearly throw up, this one is fruity and sweet and maybe a little woody? Not sure but I get compliments when I wear it and I had to buy a bottle for my friend because she would sniff me like an animal every time I sprayed it!

Floral with a sweet carmel (praline) note and tart pear. It's like a subtle gourmand if that makes sense. I absolutely love this scent. The praline note is similar to that in Prada Candy which I imagine will layer well with this. I'm so impressed that I plan on purchasing backups of the body cream which I never do. This is probably the only fragrance I own with dahlia and I'm not sure why it's not more popular. The notes blend so well together, effortlessly. Step it up, perfumers!

Well made, perfumey, creamy sweet floral. It's not like most other bbw mist which hits u with a strong alcohol note upon initial spray. Has a rounded fruitiness accompanied by praline and heavy florals. After drying becomes a sweet tonka and praline scent. Seductive is the right compliment for this scent to me. Long lasting too. 3/4 hours. It's a spot on dupe for GUESS BELLA VITA EDP. I later them and it's a wonderful match

One of the more impressive performers from B&BW. This lasts almost all day on me and smells deliciously soft and gourmand without being too much. My husband said it smelled amazing and he generally doesn’t care for floral anything. I hope they keep this one in a regular rotation! It does remind me of Good Girl, could be a good cheapie dupe

I think the formula for this changed (classic bbw stuff). To me this pear praline...honestly I love it..no musk or patchouli or even florals...I am kinda obsessed with it dunno why. It's just sweet with a bit of a fresh pear effect so if you're a sweetness hater pbbly not gonna go well for you.

In my opinion it smells almost identical to Carolina Herrera, Good Girl especially when it dries down! I think it's the best dupe and it is also VERY long lasting, probably the strongest I've ever had from bath and body works. It smells like an actual perfume to me i love it so much 😍😍

Similar scent profile to Carolina Herrera good girl. Unfortunately, bath and body works discontinued a very popular favorite amongst many. This was a great alternative for the youngsters who can't afford the perfume. Prices are already crazy on eBay, mercari and poshmark.

Amazing creamy sweet-fruity fragrance for a cold winter scent (aka not warm and cozy). Lasts pretty well but poor projection. Starts with dahlia, then it fades into pear, and dries down to tonka bean and praline. 8.75/10

Very similar to Velvet Petals by Victorias Secret. Its a lush, creamy, sweet floral, not a fresh watery floral. I love this and it performs on the longer side for a fragrance mist.

Completely different notes, yet it makes the perfect Carolina Herrera Good Girl dupe! If you layer them, you will leave a gorgeous scent trail!

Smells like a fruitier sweet version of Carolina Herrera, Good Girl and also smells more perfumy than your typical body mist. Beautiful scent.

This is my signature scent, I wear it year round because it’s the perfect amount of floral without being too floral and not too sweet

This is so nice! Unfortunately, I only have the body cream because I only buy when the items are on sale. I just smelled Dahlia for the first time yesterday when my body cream shipment came in. It was an instant love for me. Definitely, one of the best fragrances B&BW has to offer--and they have aplenty! To my nose, Dahlia was musky, feminine, fresh baked cookies--lying in an aromatic flowerbed. I decided to layer it with Guess Noir--great combination! I will edit this review when I am able to purchase the fine mist. The body cream is an aromatic, luxurious, and safe blind buy. 12/18/23--I have received and worn my Dahlia fine fragrance mist. I really like it. It is sweet, yet sophisticated. Also, it is a mood-lifter! My husband was in the hospital for most of last week. When I applied the body spray and body cream yesterday, I instantly received a boost in my mood. The praline is the star of this fragrance--not too pungent--but adds the perfect amount of sweetness. Longevity is not good--it needs to be re-applied from time to time. Silage is moderate. Dahlia layers well, and complements other fragrances. Additionally, it is beautiful all on its own. In my opinion, Dahlia is a safe blind buy and a great addition to any fragrance collection.

Yes, yes...this smells like Good Girl. But actually, it's grown on me this year and I think it's better. Not in terms of performance, but I enjoy the scent profile more, as it actually resembles Good Girl Légère even moreso, and I prefer the Légère version to the original. OK, hear me out!... This doesn't contain some of the slightly sharp elements of GG, it feels smoother, creamier and juicier. I didn't enjoy the pear last year because I got sick and tired of pear in everything, but since I've been away from pear lately, I now smell this with a fresh nose. It's much more enjoyable than I first thought. It does have a slight colonge-y undertone, and who even knows what causes it? Nothing in the notes suggests as much. Still, this is predominately feminine and decidedly pretty. The praline isn't heavy like the note in La Vie Est Belle, but rather it smells like light wafers. The gourmond facet isn't heavy. So all of this is to say, because of how light it is, and how it's smoothed out, it truly smells more of Légère than the original GG. But it's certainly the little sister of either, and it's a cryin' shame B&BW discontinued it. I agree with everyone. Cherishing my bottle 🥺🏵

Dahlia is a light gourmand fragrance that doesn't pull heavy or too "juvenile". The pear and praline notes balance each other out, allowing the scent to be somewhere between a fruity freshie and a heavier, creamy sweet gourmand. I actually thought that the pear note was lychee as well when I was at B&BW testing it out before I saw the real notes. It would still be too sweet for me personally during really hot summer weather, but it would probably be no problem for people who wear gourmand fragrances year-round. Dahlia is fairly long lasting for a body mist and it will linger on clothing for a good while. I think it would be a good choice for someone looking for an affordable sweet body mist that can work in different weather conditions and could pass as a higher end perfume. I am surprised that Dahlia hasn't been made a permanent fragrance in the line, it would probably be a bestseller. I have the 2023 holiday rerelease with the simple label and quilted pattern on the bottle.

This is so pretty and addictive. I smell pear and praline with a watery-floral note (I don’t know what dahlia actually smells like). On my bottle, the notes listed are: pear, praline, dahlia petals, and tonka bean. It’s definitely gourmand sweet and yummy, but it’s neither warm nor deep, it’s more juicy and bright, and I love that it does not get sickly even on warm days. It also has pretty good longevity for a body mist, I can still smell it (although faintly) 5 hours later. Nice day to day scent for all-year-round wear. You will be told you smell good. I don’t like most B&BW body mists, but this one is a must have for me. This is my 2nd all-time favorite body mist after VS Bombshell.

Dahlia is one of my favorite fragrances from B&BW. It’s a creamy, sweet floral that blends beautifully. The dry-down notes of musk, praline, and tonka are dreamy and elegant with a hint of seduction. It shares some similarities with Carolina Herrera Good Girl, but it’s creamier and softer, making it better suited for everyday wear. I find it to be a lovely daytime fragrance that works for all seasons. However, my main complaint is that the projection and the longevity is quite poor. It quickly becomes a skin scent, even with generous overspraying. 8/10 Sillage 4/10 Longevity 5/10

i like this but it's not the favorite i thought it would be from how everyone hypes this fragrance up. for me, the opening reminds me of lychee with some fresh and floral qualities as well. i'm assuming the lychee-esque note is just how pear tends to pull on my skin, since chasing fireflies also reads as lychee-ish on the opening blast. on the drydown, more of the warmth and creaminess comes through, and i prefer that. i'd say this is a pretty safe blind buy since there's nothing offensive about it, but nothing magical either. longevity and projection are very solid though.

I was intrigued to buy it because of the Pear and Praline. I like Pear Creme Brulee and Emerald Mist from B&BW, I think they are good at making Pear Scents, so I wanted to give Dahlia a try. As compared to Emerald Mist and Pear Creme Brulee the pear scent is not that strong, but it`s definitely there. At first I was not really into it, it smelled too perfumy and too generic to me, but now I kinda like it. It`s a light pear scent with some chocolate/vanillaish sweetness without being a heavy Gourmand. You can tell it`s on the Gourmand site though.

I have Dahlia in the FF mist. It starts with a fresh pear that is sweet and juicy and luckily less synthetic and screechy than in many other concoctions. The floral note is nearest to a soft creamy rose to my nose but I don’t know how dahlias smell after all. The base is again a sweet and creamy vanilla-tonka but not very deep or dark as in CH’s GG. Dahlia is more light and innocent than GG but it would layer nicely with it and with any other vanilla/tonka fragrance.

This smells expensive, close to GG, but fresher, creamier, and better. Here the tonka bean shines with praline in a cologne-type base, and that pear is so juicy, I can't—it's amazing!! I was really skeptical of that dahlia note, but trust me, this doesn't smell like dahlias at all, maybe a bit floral. Overall, I adore the mist; I just miss the longevity the OG had.

Blind buy, when i smelled it i thought i got black opium, but it's good girl CH. How ever when I compared it with GG the body spray is on the more floral sweet scent but GG is more woody. However I feel its a good pair with GG, black opium, and choco musk also. Update: it grew on me very fast for someone who doesn't like floral.

this is a generic, pretty and pleasant girly scent clean and sweet doesn't last or project but its okay for a lazy relaxed time nothing to write home about and I probably wouldn't get this one again

A sweet floral scent on the opening, a little citrous-y fruity, too. A sweet creamy vanilla-ish on the drydown. It smells familiar.

Very nice floral, but does not have longevity. This lasted on me for about an hour.

The scent is a lot more cozier than I expected it to be, it's quite nice.

I have tested it in BBW store before boycott, dahlia petals crisp pear and praline mist, combains sweety gourmand base notes with dahlia flower, very similar to "Good girl og" perfume, without Cinnamon, Patchouli and Amber which are provide "Good girl og" perfume too sharpness, so I think it's suitable for any one searching on a light version perfume of "Good girl og". This fragrance you can wear it any time during the day or at night, in winter and Autumn seasons. Sweet and very cold. I get a ton of pear and praline with this, but the notes of Dahlia tone it down and give it a very characteristic bitterness. I particularly adore this fragance on its sillage - the smell directly from the skin or the bottle I feel turns bitter on me. The longevity is beautiful though - it sticks insanely on clothes and that's where I feel it smells the sweetest. I feel it is a nice mature gourmand that doesn't feel juvenile at all, very creamy and sophisticated. Not the type of fragances I lean towards using, though.

It’s super pretty, perfect scent, delicious even. BUT it doesn’t last for SHITTTTTT, layer with the body cream, lotion and then overspray and I will still smell nothing in an hour. So disappointed because if BBW bothered to put any quality into this, it could be the best $37 body mist they offer.

A slightly cloying whatever-bomb. This evokes memories that I do not have of being bullied in the locker room. I could definitely imagine being fourteen, clueless and insecure splashing this on before heading to the cast meal at a Fire & Ice after our school's production of Les Mis wrapped.

Cherished for a long time because of the nostalgia. And the packaging, oh so pretty. But something comes across as very synthetic to me now. Sweet and synthetic. Sweet I don’t mind. It does perform nicely for a body mist though.

I actually prefer this to Good Girl because I don’t detect any patchouli here. It’s an inoffensive but generic fruity floral. Personally, I wouldn’t consider this a gourmand.

My least favorite of the Bath and Body sprays that I have actually purchased. I was nose blind when I bought it but read the good reviews on here so I put it in my basket as it was just a few dollars. Horrible smelling when I did try it at home, at least compared to their other delightful scents, gave it away immediately. Funny how it is named Dahlia when dahlias have no scent.

I do not understand the hype on this- it’s terrible. I regret it every time I try to wear it.

This is magnificent when I first smelled it I fell in love. I got influenced by a YouTube influencer. It was love at first sniffed and I bought a bunch on sale to do total layering, but I do use Good Girl as my base. When I got out I bring along the Dahlia body spray which I put in a small spray bottle the same with the Dahlia lotion, I also have the Dahlia body gel. I’m a layering lady I spray my clothes, my hair and my hats. I let it marinate. It’s a beautiful feminine scent which attract men & plenty of compliments. Have no idea why Bath and body Works is not selling this anymore you have to go to eBay or Amazon. I have a stock which I am being stingy with, but I’m glad that I stocked up

Feminine and girly fragrance. Smells like a woman in her early 20s to early 30s Ina feld of flowers on a picnic wearing a flowy maxi dress eating pears and drinking sweet wine surrounded by sweet flowers. It's good to wear during the day and can be appealing for night time. Can be paired with perfumes like Good Girl or fragrances similar to that.

I have the body cream and I just don't like the scent. I put it on and felt a masculine scent from it. I dislike anything that leans masculine so this one is a no go. It's also not like Good Girl, but I am not dissapointed because I don't like Good Girl either.

This was my least favorite out of the dozen bath and body works mists I tried (in October). Smells like an old lady in a thrift shop. Grandma florals - had to return it the next day.

One of my fav , I truly love it , sweet,dreamy and sexy. It doesn’t smell like good girl at all to be honest so if you’re looking for a dupe, keep looking

the reformulation ruined it. the original had depth and smelled like proper perfume.
