Dahlia

I have the perfume and body spray in Dahlia. This smells really delicious - airy and yummy whipped cream. That praline note adds a creamy nuttiness. Yum! It’s not cloying at all - it’s cozy, sweet and warm in the gentlest possibly way. It gives me that safe feeling of snuggling my face into a giant wooly scarf as I walk around city streets in the evening...soft gold Christmas lights are twinkling and snow starts to softly fall all around me. It’s a “magical” fragrance. To me, it’s a little similar to Arianna Grande’s Cloud except it’s more buttery... it’s in the same ball park at least. This is likely due to the soft praline and whipped cream notes. Bath and Body Works have been coming out with so many bangers! I’m extremely impressed. This super affordable fragrance far surpasses many of the uninspiring fruity floral snore fest launches that designer houses have been pumping out lately (such as Armani My Way and Dior Joy).

One of my new favorites, I absolutely love Dahlia. Interestingly, I didn't care for it the first time I smelled it, but months later I gave it another try while I was in the store. The entire time I was shopping I kept getting whiffs of something delicious and realized it was this, so I bought the mist and body cream. I've been reapplying all day because it smells so pretty. A warm sweet floral, and it honestly doesn't smell foodie at all to me. I get mostly floral notes at first, then it becomes something extra warm and cozy on the dry down. A sexy fall/winter scent for sure. Someone compared it to Viva La Juicy, which is one of my signature fragrances, so maybe that's why I like this one so much. Also, I see a lot of people comparing it to CH Good Girl. When I stopped at the store today the cashier asked me if that's what I was wearing. Apparently she just got Good Girl herself and said I smelled just like it!

Definitely screams AUTUMN. When I bought this scent back in 2020, I was obsessed during the fall/winter months. Its floral, fresh, mature-smelling, with a touch of gourmand. There definitely is this "whipped" note in there -said to be whipped tonka bean! The "crisp pear" definitely comes through and adds that bit of fruity/freshness, which I love. Upon initial spray, the pear is the first thing I smell and its the note that made me fall in love with Dahlia. On my skin, this turns into a perfume-type scent, rather than a body mist. On clothing, it stays more fruity, but still floral, gourmand-ish, musky. Longevity, not that great but its a mist so my expectations aren't too crazy. You'll get compliments, but this doesn't project a crazy amount....maybe the parfum version would? Not sure, wouldn't spend that much on it unless there was a sale tbh.

My boyfriend and I went through Bath & Bodyworks for a date consisting of smelling the different scents in the store to find a scent for me and a scent for him. Narrowing down to the two scents we liked for me, I had Dahlia on one wrist and In the Stars on the other. Dahlia worked really well with my natural chemistry and has become a staple in my perfume selection. Not only does it smell great (my boyfriend compliments me often), but it is very affordable in comparison to my usual Estee and Aerin Lauder perfumes. I can wear it frequently and stock up easily. I hope Bath & Bodyworks continue to carry this great scent.

This smells almost EXACTLY like Jessica Simpson Fancy. It does not smell at all like CH Good girl. CHGG has a very heavy tuberose note and coffee, it smells like everything and is a heavy scent. Dahlia is a very light airy praline-caramel perfume with top notes of pear and airy florals. It is probably one of the best bath and body has came out with, and it is a less sweet/more woody version of Jessica Simpson Fancy. It layers well with Vanilla's and other Tonka Bean heavy scents. Its really good 9/10. I have the collection apart from the EDP and they all perform well and layer well.

This is definitely for gourmand lovers. I just sprayed this, (edp version) and when I crossed our living room my mom said I smell like CAKE. Yummy fragrance, and it suits both day and night time. Sad that they discontinued this. According to some, Gingham Heart of Gold is the replacement for Dahlia so I blind bought it--yes there is a bit similarity, same scent profile, but no. One of the best scents from BBW. Hands down.

Reviewing for the body mist. No praline for me but I get a burst of pear and floral. Not gourmand at all which GG is on my skin. Dahlia is predominantly floral on my body with a fruitiness at the start. My favorite body mist along with You're The One. Light, classy and feminine. I hope they never discontinue this. Edit: I can't believe they're discontinuing this

I can't get enough of this fragrance! The juicy pear is so lovely paired with vanilla and a deep floral. It is pretty strong too, especially if you layer up with the body wash, body cream, and body spray or edt. It's warm and cozy but it's not too sweet and cloying. It's perfect for the person who wants to smell warm, feminine, clean, and beautiful.

I don't know how to explain it but I would kill for another bottle of this. I have GG, and I enjoy it. But, there's something about this specific scent that isn't in GG. I honestly like this one a little more! sad they discontinued it and will continue attempting to mix GG with things to try and recreate whatever this is.

I can't believe they discontinued this. It is one of the few floral fragrances that actually seems to stick to my skin. It smells sweet without overpowering the top floral note. She dries down beautifully! Sultry and coquettish.... B&BW, sleep with one eye open.

I agree with Lemisha, it definitely has the same DNA as Good Girl. It’s a much more affordable option, too. It’s obviously not the same, but it’s still a great scent at a great price. My partner bought this for me, so I’m biased, but I quite like it!

If words could be put to a scent? "Everything is going to be alright." And a fabric? Imagine holding the sleeves to your favorite soft sweater to your face. It's such a sweet, feelgood scent that I can't get enough of. It's like comfort in a bottle!

To me this is an office friendly version of Carolina Herrera's Good Girl. I love Good Girl but try to avoid wearing it to the office because I am one of the dreaded over sprayers. This is one of my favorite fall scents.

This smells so much like CH Good Girl, but a bit lighter. I have the body mist, and it seems to last longer than most of the others I've had from B&BW.

This is a beautiful sweet perfume! The notes according to the back of the box are: velvet dahlia petals, crisp pear, praline musk, whipped tonka bean.

Love this one, but for me its reminiscent of a spiced floral with a chocolate undertone and the pear is more of a very delicate afterthought.

A love at first sniff. Yes, it smells like CH Good Girl. This is the only BBW fragrance I’ve liked enough to buy a full bottle.

So underrated. I’m heartbroken for not paying enough attention to realize BBW discontinued Dahlia, I would’ve stocked up 😞

Dahlia has the same fragrance dna as CH Good Girl but sweeter

I have Dahlia in the FF mist. It starts with a fresh pear that is sweet and juicy and luckily less synthetic and screechy than in many other concoctions. The floral note is nearest to a soft creamy rose to my nose but I don’t know how dahlias smell like after all. The base is again a sweet and creamy vanilla-tonka but not very deep or dark as in CH’s GG. However, Dahlia is more light and innocent but would layer nicely with GG and any other vanilla and tonka fragrance. Lovely.

I have the body spray of this and I really like it, smells sweet and floral fruity but not too powerful with the floral I do get a strong fruity sweet note though, pear? I see people say it's similar to good girl by carolina herrera, honestly I've smelled it before and I kind of forgot :( sorry people lol but yea smells good def a good buy Update, so there is a pear note in this I didn't even bother to look but yea strong pear note and the praline makes it very sweet

I am fortunate enough to have this, and it is absolutely the same scent profile as Good Girl, which I love! For me, this is exceptional in the heat of the summer. I know many find this a winter kind of perfume (and I would normally agree), but at least on me, the cold weather dulls and the heat makes it shine. Funny enough - my favorite version of this scent profile is Fruity Almond from Dossier. I like that one better than Dahlia or GG, so try that one too!

This one is the line with demi Moore, it gives you the vibes of an elegant mature woman, although, demi Moore's one you can use it if you're young, you can enjoy it still, but this one, no, I hate the fresh-nutty vibe it gives, I don't like that, I can appreciate it, but I personally don't like it, so if you hate the fresh nutty shit, don't buy this, it will be super annoying. update: this smells amazing in spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe they discontinued this. This is the best way pear has been done as a note in my opinion. Very juicy. I am still holding on to a bottle with a few dregs left, and I can't bring myself to finish it. It's very sweet and youthful, the type of scent profile that suits a young woman who is beyond the cusp of adolescence.

It's my biggest compliment getter. I smelled it first during fall of 2020, and wore it throughout the winter months. As soon as the heat settled in, it turned sour and kinda urine-y on my skin. YUCK. I'm hoping to break it back out when it starts getting cool again. I miss it.

I had to get a free reward gift, and since Bonfire Bash was sold out I was directed to Dahlia. This reminds me more of a Victoria’s Secret body mist. One called Golden Bloom.

I don't know about the perfume, but the body lotion and body spray are a dupe for Good Girl. I've had GG for years and this is a great way to extend my juice by layering.

One of the better B&BW scents...IMO. Has the CH Good Girl vibe...although I say,IMO,not a complete clone/dupe. It actually also has decent/good performance too !!!

This smells very similar to Good Girl but more.. innocent, if you will.

This is a pear bomb, supported by some light florals and a cushy vanilla. It's light (as the mists tend to be), but it does have enough projection to get noticed. And actually, this lasts a bit longer than the average B&BW spray! I do get the comparison to Good Girl, and I have been wearing GG quite a bit lately. It does bear a resemblance, this being a more stripped back, simplistic version. It's very odd, because the notes don't really match at all, but this has a similarity to it, the florals and vanilla on it are probably the common factors. I don't think it smells like Jessica Simpson's Fancy though. I'd also agree that it's a little more mature than many of their releases, but not not at all in any vintage sort of way. I'm a little tired of pear in everything lately, so I might not reach for this frequently until I begin to appreciate it again. I like it, but I'm not really in the right mood. It's not even that I dislike pear, it's just that it's in *everything* these days.

Ok, I am wearing this now, but had NO idea what dahlias smells like, or Good Girl perfume, either. So I didn't know what to expect. My first impression is... interesting. When I first sprayed on my skin, only 1 spray, it was surprisingly bitter. After wearing 15 minutes or so, the bitterness has subsided, and I can smell the praline. But, so far, there's not any magic. I was hoping the praline would be better blended so I wouldn't smell it specifically (I prefer linear scents), but it simply isn't interesting enough to buy a full bottle. Just "ok". UPDATE - I have a slight headache after wearing maybe 45 minutes, and I definitely don't care for that praline note.

smells generic . for me doesn't smell like GG . gg wayy denser and thinker like a cake with flowers on top but this smells like everything flowery sweet fruity 🤦♀️

I get pineapple notes. Nice fragance but is REALLY strong I can not use bodywash, body lotion and mist at the same time. Not buying again.

I just came here to say this smells like CH Good Girl, but someone already beat me to the punch. That's pretty much it...

Originality where are you? This is pretty identical to Miss Dream La rive or CH Good Girl, the heel perfume. They have the same type of milkiness and Dhalia opens up abit lighter but the final result is the same. Glad I only got the travel size. Fancy by Jessica Simpson mentioned by another reviewer is ALOT heavier, totally changes route with its variation of florals, only common note is pear but its not enough to match Dhalia. Fancy is a heavy cloying vanilla, sandalwood, amber bomb and im not even a fan of it while Dhalia I can totally wear and not be bothered, Fancy has nothing milky in it, while Dhalia and Good Girl have that distinct floral freshness and milkiness. (Miss Dream, Good Girl's dupe in fact added milk as a note due to that) Good Girl being more spicy and woody than Dhalia. I tested all three Good Girl, Dhalia and Fancy at the same time and Good Girl and Dhalia ended up smelling the same, while Fancy's opening was promising it totally took another road within 3 minutes, its just too sweet and heavy. Lasting power not great. I still like it but I wanted something I dont have already. Why do companies recycle the same scents lately, its like Ariana's Cloud situation, B&BW In the Stars is a dupe for it (better imo) but again I wanted something NEW!

This smells EXACTLY like Michael Kors Sparkling Blush. Nice inexpensive alternative if you don’t feel like shelling out $120 for the MK. I see a lot of people comparing this to Carolina Herrera's Good Girl (and I can see why, admittedly they do have a similar note), but they couldn't be more different. GG has a very strong, deep, dark, sexy vibe to it, making it appropriate for evening wear, while Dahlia is more light and delicate and appropriate for daytime.

This is nice and much longer lasting than average BBW offerings . I do find that it smells a LOT like Viva La Juicy which I like but never owned because to me it was just not that special. Dahlia has same pear vanilla vibe. ITs sweet juicy and warm. I like it a lot. I gotten small perfume spray and travel size body cream size and layered together those last several hours, unlike many BBW scents which fade in no time.

This is GOOD STUFF! A slight resemblance to Good Girl but I did the 'right arm left arm' test with the two and they are definitely different. GG is a bit more dark - Dahlia is sweeter. In my opinion, both are good and have their time and place as to when to wear which. Happy Halloween everyone! Continue to wear your masks even after this weekend! ;)

Such a staple to have in your collection. One of bath and body works best scents. It smells like a high end perfume but not overpowering or elderly. It's sweet, creamy, and floral. This is not the type of floral that is limited to spring, however. It is warm and vanilla-y to me so you can wear this year round. Highly recommend this one.

Sooo good! Reminds me of a baby sister/daytime version of YSL black opium. The tonka bean note is what really drew me in! It's not a typical floral whatsoever (hence the name) and I am soo happy I got this fragrance regardless of it not being one of the more popular BBW scents!

Very perfume-y in the lines of into the night. I only have Dahlia in the moisturizing body wash and creamy body scrub which I LOVE. The lotion and body mist, perhaps the scent itself is a little cloying. Too bad BBW decided to retire this scent :(

Smells like a brighter lighter more floral version of Good girl. I love the darker scent of CH good girl but it’s nice to pair these both together ! I loved this body spray so much that I bought the lotion and wash only 2 days later lol

This smells EXACTLY like Good Girl to me!!! But maybe just a tad bit sweeter than GG (I love sweet so I actually kinda like this scent more tbh, not gonna lie 👀🤭🙈). It’s less milky and more juicy from the pear than GG too

This is very much like the original Good Girl but lighter and doesn’t have the cacao note which I find a bit nauseating, unfortunately. Also smells a bit like Viva La Juicy Gold Couture.

Despite the notes and the main Accords listed above, this is not "in your face" sweet. I was encouraged to try it by the salesgirl and I do intend to return to purchase.
