Dark Velvet Oud

Wow this is wonderful, it is like a grown up version of Lush Rose Jam, it isn’t as sweet as rose jam and doesn’t have the screech either, this is well rounded, deep red velvety roses, the kind you find growing in hotter climates, the Edp lasts much longer than the body mist, I would say this lasts a good 10 hours on my skin, I wear it in my hair too, it definitely leaves a beautiful trail. Projection on skin is about 2ft. Layers beautifully with Kayali Vanilla 28 and with Penhaligons Cairo too. If you want to sweeten it but not add any more depth then goes great with Zara Rose Gourmand. It is lovely on its own or easily adaptable as a layering fragrance.

Lovely smell, definitely some rose notes, if not a little synthetic...but it doesn't project and doesn't last!!! I haven't tried the EDP version or lotion with it (the body mist). I think layering those would make the scent last longer. But the scent is beautiful, sexy, feminine and perfect for fall/winter, but definitely wearable all year round.

It’s just an ok for me... I bought because I love Oud and I thought this could be an easy “daywear” Oud/rose. But not really well blended or round at all. And it doesn’t last that long. And it’s similar to to Shagaf Oud. That one is truly amazing. This just kind of reminds you of Shagaf Oud on the dry down, but in a much more western “perfumy” way.
