Dark Velvet Oud

This smells a lot like expensive perfume. The oud is strong (maybe it just works with my body chemistry like that). The raspberry also isn't screechy. It has a subtle sweetness which blends very well with the rose, which weirdly also isn't too straightforward with the floral. I'm not really a fan of rose scents, but this combination is divine. The performance is also not something I would've expected from a body mist. This lasts so long, especially during cold weather and night time. It sticks to my clothes until the next day. It's that potent. It projects fairly good, and it radiates a bit beyond arm's length. This is something I can wear to a formal occasion without being too heavy or pungent on the nose. This is a 10/10 from me.

I adore this, and I happen to disagree with the review below that says you can't smell the oud. I certainly can, and it harmonizes very well with the sweet berries. To me, this smells like Into the Night with added oud. It's unreal the performance you get even though it's just a body mist. I wore this for a night out, and even though I sprayed conservatively it really stuck around and I kept getting lovely whiffs of the scent every time I turned my head.

I love soft floral scents and I have been looking for a floral scent that can also be unisex, and finally this is it for me! My husband loves the scent as well as I do. Its a perfect combination of rose/floral scent and oud. For some reason I think I can smell a bit of woody and amber even though its not listed above. I would highly recommend this especially for night time or a date night. After it dries down, its like a mature rose/oud-y/amber-ish note.

It really is EXTREMELY similar to jo malones velvet rose & oud. It has that specific sweet-sour opening smell that just pierces through your nose but that's the only difference i can smell from far away EDIT: after some time i decided that the similarity is about 80%, close enough to satisfy me and be a replacement for casual days but jo malone still has that smoothness and better drydown than it because later it just smells like sweet raspberries

I have the lotion, mist and body wash. Omg.. the body wash is heavenly, lotion lasted longer ony body than the mist. It really smells like perfume. I just didn't quite like the dry down of the mist. But overall I like this unique scent. Something different than the usual sweet scent from BBW. I didn't really expect it was a wow product just by looking at the packaging. Packaging looks boring and old. But thankfully I tried and tested it. ☺️

Dark feminine scent... Great combination of oud&rose! Despite being a body spray, it smells like an expensive niche perfume. I received more compliments than with any other perfume when I used it; if you want to smell like a powerful, gothic vampire, choose this without hesitation. I'm a gourmand scent addict and the only rose perfume I have is Lancome Roses Berberanza. I'll keep Dark Velvet Oud too!

This makes me feel like I'm in the desert, surrounded by opulence. I get a hint of spiced areca nuts/betel nuts, but not in a cheap way. The oud comes across very incense-like to me, all smoky and mysterious. The rose is not overpowering, but it isn't what I'd describe as soft. All in all, not a typical bath and body works fragrance. Can't wait for winters to enjoy it full and proper.

A beautiful woody, floral, and fruity scent. I went to BBW for something else but came home with this instead. Great performance for a body mist. I regret not buying the body lotion. I can always go back and get it. I finally got the body lotion on sale. So beautiful and stronger than the body mist. 😃

I only had the cream, but I freaking adore this so much the sweet rose with oud is sooo...to me this is gothic but keep it cute and fun which I looooooove I hope one day I find a good edp of some sort that features this. It's a little "juvenile" cause of the sweetness but i looove it.

Love love this. Its a very modern take on oud and combined with rose, it just makes it so sexy. A perfect date night scent. I am not a big fan of oud fragrances, but this one is just wow.

i have the Eau de parfum and it is sooo gooood, and the sillage is great. i bought this in mexico, hopefully it comes to the us someday so i can buy the whole line

It’s masculine with ties of feminine notes in it! It is incredibly sexy and cozy! A great winter and fall body spray!

I have this as a body lotion and the sillage from it is stronger than from many perfumes. It is lovely.

Starts of with oud, then enters a classic mature deep red rose. Settles as fresh oudy scent. Starts feminine ends a little more masculine/unisex.

I have tested it in BBW store before boycott, sweety oud with roses. This fragrance you can wear it any time during the day or at night if you prefer oud or heavy intensive fragrances in all seasons, hence, this fragrance performance like as perfumes performance not as mists. After boycott if you was searching on alternative fragrance with less price and good quality, I advise you to use "Mohra Silky Rose Lattafa" perfume it's depends on sweety oud with roses notes and very long lasting perfume and very similar dupe, perhaps it's better. جربته في متجر "باث آند بدي وركس" قبل المقاطعة، رذاذ عود حلو مع الورد. هذا الرذاذ يمكنك ارتداؤه في أي وقت خلال النهار أو في الليل إذا كنت تفضل العود أو الروائح القوية المكثفة وفي جميع الفصول، حيث أن أداء هذا الرذاذ يشبه أداء العطور وليس أداء الرذاذات. بعد المقاطعة إذا كنت تبحث عن رائحة بديلة بسعر أقل وجودة جيدة، أنصحك باستخدام عطر "مهرة سيلكي روز من لطافة" فهو يعتمد على العود الحلو مع نوتات الورد وعطر يدوم طويلاً ويمتلك رائحة مشابهة جدًا بل وربما أفضل منها.

The mist on initial 10 seconds smelt of alchohol. Other than that, it has a linear smell. The rose is heavy. Smells like sugared rose with oud in the background. The name is misleading as the oud is not pronounced at all. Rose lovers will like it. I think it is most suitable for a casual summer night. Edit: after a month of oxidsation/ maceration, the alcohol smell has disappered. It is one of the most long lasting body mist. I still don't like the scent family.

It's OK. A more "adult" scent profile thanks to the oud, but the raspberry is overpowering to me. On the verge of being too sweet for my liking (should have noticed the sugar note). It's a dark feminine scent, nothing masculin here. Unless you find sugared raspberry masculin. Can be very nice as candle scent.
