Forever Red Vanilla Rum

Smells like a warm, creamy eggnog, with a bit of rum. Not overpowered by spice. I love it. Excellent creamy layer, doesn’t pull that sour lactonic thing I get with milk notes. This is my first purchase of the scent.

It's okay. I kinda expected the mildly sweet booziness of Forever Red to be in here, but idk, it kinda smells sour (?) instead of sweet. Just like what happened to me with Wrapped in Vanilla. Maybe it's the jasmine? The vanilla is affected and also loses its signature creamy sweetness. The woodiness is okay, but honestly, I detect no rum whatsoever in here. It's much more present in the OG Forever Red. I just layer this with my single note vanilla perfumes to try and salvage the missing vanilla sweetness. I like this the least out of all the comebacks. This is more of a nighttime and cold weather scent. The longevity is almost nonexistent. I honestly would like to return this. The packaging looks beautiful, though. left this review on the og frvr page, but i have the new version so i figured it'd be more appropriate to leave it here. this feels like a combination of a bunch of other scents from b&bw. it opens with hints of forever red, but honestly it reminds me more of sunrise woods. then, that dissipates very quickly to what essentially smells like wild madagascar vanilla, or bodycology's whipped vanilla, with some slight hints of wvs or bodycology's winter vanilla. i'm not mad about it because it's a combination of scents i like, but it's nothing new. it's also pretty weak, even for a mist.

Man I wish that I could have bought this as a perfume mist. The only downside to this body mist is that it doesn't last long. Forever Red Vanilla Rum is just Velvet Sugar but aged into its late 20s and using they/them pronouns. It's mostly jasmine, and if you're afraid of that boozy rum scent don't worry. It's barely detectable. That's because FR Vanilla Rum is going through their sober-ish phase and drinking more green juices to help with their indigestion.

Pasting my review from the EDP version, I didn't realize they had the body mist uploaded: This confuses me so much, I’m not sure if I like it or hate it. It smells like Dr Pepper to me at first! Or like a warm cola. Now... as you can tell, it’s not the most pleasant imagery. I’m trying to get around to it and think of it in a sweet and unique/cool way but damn it’s really hard. Do I have a bad bottle?? All the other reviews make this sound amazing. It was much more vanilla forward in store and this is honestly just a weird fucking smell. I even bought the body wash. I’m gonna use it and layer with this spray and see if maybe I’ll like it more.

did i get a bad bottle?? this is indolic jasmine on the first spray, then it dissipates to plastic wrap. just smells like pure plastic. i don't get any other notes. and it's definitely not comparable to alien. this is the 06/2026 formulation...

I ended up decluttering this one because the jasmine pulls so indolic and raunchy on me, like BO, and I am not in that phase of life. This is like the jezebel sister of Wild Madagascar Vanilla. FRVR’s goal is to seduce a hot guy with tattoos by bar close & she isn’t subtle about it.

As someone who’s been a huge bath and body works fanatic since I was a child, this is NOT what FRVR used to smell like. It was so much darker and boozy with heavy vanilla and much more depth-which I preferred. I was so excited for this comeback only to be completely let down and disappointed. Of all the bath and body works let downs, this was the worst of all. This is basically sharp almost tart? Jasmine and a hint of woods that wants to be creamy but is completely over powered by something sour. They changed the notes entirely- which is fine. But the only note that really matches this new formulation is the jasmine. This is best suited for spring (in my opinion) very floral. Very sharp. Almost nauseating. The notes make you want to believe this is a good cold weather scent, but as someone who loves slightly “darker” fragrances- this just screams transitioning to spring to me. Not at all what I was hoping for and not at all what it once was.
