Fresh Cut Lilacs

Fresh Cut Lilacs is the perfect name for this fragrance because it smells so much like them! I feel like there is also a bit of a hyacinth scent as well. I have a lilac bush and hyacinths, and I can’t believe how much this smells like them! Like I just cut some and put them in a vase on my table! It’s a beautiful fragrance that’s so perfect for springtime! I have this in the body mist, lotion, and shower gel, and I get really good performance, especially when I’m using the body care too. The longevity is great, it lasts all day on me. The projection is nice too, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me. I also have this in the candles and hand soap and the scent is incredible! It’s just so beautiful and realistic smelling!

Very photorealistic! I have a purple lilac bush in my yard and this is pretty close except the green notes cut the overwhelming sweetness you get when you bring lilacs inside for a bouquet. It smells like lilac in the garden as opposed to the beautiful, yet overwhelming, lilac bouquet/in a vase. This is good for spring and early summer.

This was a gift from my mom and has become one of my favorite scents to use as a base to layer other stuff on top. It makes me feel like I’m part fairy who is very reluctant about leaving the garden

Recently got this and I love it! Smells like fresh cut flowers on a warm spring day. The perfect floral fragance. Not overly sweet, this literally smells like natural fresh flowers.

Got a used bottle of body mist off of Mercari. This is more hyacinth than lilac and has that generic fabric softener scent that most BBW mists have. There's a slightly bitter green note that I find quite moreish. This is perfectly serviceable for a wintertime pick me up or a pre-bed scent. I think it would also work as a non-offensive go-to in warm weather. Pacifica French Lilac is a more photorealistic lilac, imo, and worth the extra few bucks. I'm happy with my secondhand purchase of Fresh Cut Lilacs, but I wouldn't buy new.

a sweet (fake?) lilac. there was a lilac bush in the backyard of my childhood home, and this does not smell TOTALLY like it. I know lilac is a fantasy note in perfumery, so I know nothing will truly replicate that aroma, but I still feel like it's close, maybe 85% there. a little heady and cloying for me, so I'd only wear it lightly in the spring or summer when it can bloom (haha).

I bought this at BBW'S recent semi annual sale. It's not a power house scent. The first spray is a lot of alcohol mixed with the green notes but it does settle into a light powdery lilac scent. I can't say it's disappointing. It's just a shy scent that can be livened up with other fragrances. Wear time was two hours for me. Fresh Cut Lilacs is definitely worth the try.

It's alright, my grandmother gave me her bottle of it but it's not really my type of scent but, I still like it.

This is a SUPER green body mist. The lilac comes through of course, it can sometimes be overpowering.

This is alright as a body care fragrance, it's fresh, but it isn't *quite* as authentic a fresh lilac as Pacifica's French Lilac, which is also very affordable (slightly less so, but it's worth the bit extra), so I haven't picked this up. There's not much to report, it's a light, slightly laundry-esque, white musky, clean take on lilac. It has a touch of herbal greens. It reminds me of French Lavender & Honey, but this smells moreso like the namesake than FL&H did (which didn't smell like lavender to me at all). Still, they're sibling fragrances. I like this much more as a candle (it's also my mom's favorite candle, I'll probably keep buying her one every year), and I think it would make a good room spray.

I see this is back in B&B stores and it still smells the same. I received one of the travel size bottles of this in a basket of mixed B&B products one Christmas. I thought it pretty synthetic, and it really didn't smell like natural lilacs to me. I wound up keeping it in my car to use as an air freshener. For that it was fine. Putting it on my body was not. It didn't last even as a room spray, which I now see they also sell. Hmmm... Maybe they realized their version was more fitting for that. If you are looking to freshen a room, then stick to the air freshener. It might last longer. They also have plug in room fresheners available too. Otherwise, for those who love this, it's available again.

It smells fresh, crisp, and green. It's alright for a once and a while type of scent but I would rather not wear this on a day-to-day basis.

I don’t use this ALL the time but I have to keep it in my collection, especially for spring. Lilacs are my favorite flowers, my grandparents have a huge bush and my grandpa always cuts blooms for my grandma and me when they’re ready. They’re such a fleeting joy of spring time. This fragrance from bbw and the Mainstays Lilac candle from Walmart are the best affordable lilac scents you’re going to find, I think! It’s lasts decent and smells fresh and clean and spot on.

I have to say, the "cut" part is really shining. It's green as hell. Fresh cut plant matter with Lilac just sort of drifting down the breeze up that hill. I will say it's not bad, it makes more of an impression on me than a lotttt of other smells.

I liked my daughter's candle so I bought the body mist, but it's too ozonic for me to use as personal fragrance. I keep it in the bathroom to freshen the air there.
