Gingham

Light and airy citrus scent. Not offensive in the slightest bit. Picture this : It's summer, and you've been out all day by the pool. It's now almost sundown, so you take a shower, washing yourself with a bubbly, citrus body wash and moisturising with your Nivea cream in the blue tin that you've had forever. You dry your hair with a towel and wear fresh clothes straight out of the laundry - a simple white tee and a pair of boyfriend jeans - before spraying yourself down with a simple floral, musky scent. You head out to meet some friends for an early dinner by the beach, letting the cool air wrap you up as the clear sky turns dark blue. No one can detect that you're wearing perfume, but they can tell that you smell amazingly clean. Is it your laundry detergent? The scent of your shampoo lingering about? Or perhaps the lotion you're wearing on your hands? Either way, you smell good to everyone. So, it is groundbreaking? No. Is it so special that you should run to the store? Also no. Does it smell good? Yes. Is it safe for work, bed, out, and everywhere else in between? Absolutely. It gets the job done.

the perfect amount of citrus, floral and sweetness! everything balances out so nicely!!! despite the sweet notes though, its still smells fresh and airy too. honestly, perfect for me since i am living in a tropical country and sweats a ton! one thing to note though! for my experience, this body mists projection is INSANE! 2x sprays is enough to fill up a whole bedroom. so i do suggest for the initial spray you either do it in an open area or with a room with little people to it! i do need to remind everyone that this is a body mist though. even though the projection is crazy in the beginning, it only last 2-4 hours (for me). so, if youre someone who’s looking for longevity in this body mist, then i suggest you search for something else! but yeah, this is an amazing scent coming from B&BW! and worth the buck too. like almost 200 ml for like 26 dollars (420k IDR to USD by the way), its a total steal! worth trying if you’re a citrus-floral or a light scent lover!

absolute banger. i didn't even know this was citrus before buying it. as a long-time citrus lover I saw the blue theming and didn't realise it was orange, so i was surprised that I liked it so much because i dont usually like non-fruit smells. but it didn't say what it was on the front so I thought well I like it anyway even though its not my usual style. and then I looked it up and bam. it's citrus. number one orange defender remains undefeated. didnt even need to see the word orange and my subconscious orange detector went off. the scent doesn't last long but most b&bw body mists don't, and tbh i don't rlly care that much - I mostly use them to just brighten up before walking out the door and immediately forgetting I even sprayed anything. banger scent 10/10. this is a year round club classic i wear this bitch every day and i love her

Whoever said this just smelled happy, you're right. That review got me to try this. I obsessed over it for a little while, really not expecting to like it as much as I was thinking of. Citrus just isn't my thing. None of the notes are really my thing, nothing I'd rave about. I guess I just don't like fruit. But I got a room spray in Gingham and I must say, tears pricked in my eyes. It's just so cheerful and innocent. It makes me think of when I was a little boy and my mom would take me to malls. It makes me think of good times. I spray it in the air and I just think...wow, this really does just smell happy. I hope heaven is dressed up with Gingham.

I love this alot It's my fav fresh floral scent and one of most worn bbw mists I loved it so much I also got the edp version I don't rec the edp tho the performance isn't great for an edp but the most is lovely is spray like 10 sprays and stays for a good hour with projection and then becomes intimate To me this is the best soapy sent and I love it I want to find a high-end version of this

This is such an easy reach as the hot months approach. I love to use the body wash after getting home from a hot and busy kitchen shift. The lotion and mist make the scent last almost 3 hours on me which is pretty dope for a body spray. I can totally see where people get a "cleaning product vibe", but it really just smells fresh and clean. This one will always be a no brainer for me.

It was just the type of clean smell I was looking for! I don't have many fragrances, but it is my everyday scent! I usually do around 2-3 sprays and people can smell me when i'm close to them, so it's not super strong, but also not incredibly weak. It's a cleaner, sweet, citrusy smell. Should be an inoffensive smell to the majority of humans.

Super fresh and clean smelling. I never get tired of it and it's something you can wear to work and school. Also good as a room freshener. Very citrusy and not overbearing. It's like you rubbed a clementine peel and flowers together. It's so timeless it can be worn year-round but I like to use it in summer and spring months.

gingham was my favorite b&bw scent for a long time until cozy vanilla bourbon took its place but its never leaving my top 5. i still love wearing this in spring/summer from time to time, its super refreshing & pleasant smelling and i can never get enough of it, especially the fresh sweet citrus ♡

A very light, gender neutral, and clean scent. I like this because it’s one of the few bath and body works products that don’t give me migraines. I honestly can’t describe the smell because to me it just smells fresh and I can’t pick out any particular notes (besides maybe citrus).

Citrusy that is almost sour. Definitely a daytime scent because its light, perfect for hot weather, and suitable for both gender. The only downside I experienced is that the sillage is weak and almost nonexistent. Except when you put your nose directly to the spot you spray on.

It has a good amount of citrus and floral to it, the citrus smell isn't too 'sharp' and there's a a bit of sweetness there. It's unisex to me although it's leaning to female. I absolutely love it on my skin and it's the only perfume to me that smells better when I'm sweaty.

Is it just me, or does freesia kind of smell fruity...like fresh apples? Not the weird fake apple scent, but ACTUAL apples. This fragrance is a STAND OUT! I love it, and it is perfect for my pre-teen.

Smells like a Orange kind of detergent at start. Then it develops into a musky clementine note. I can sense some pineapple in it also. It's like a strict version of Hawaiian rumba on the dry down.

It definitely has a sour yogurt like dry down sometimes but it lasts so long in the air. I sprayed it in my room and came back after 6 hours and it still smelled good

This is one of my favorite Bath and Body Works scents. Imagine a springtime picnic in the sun- fruit salad and a vase of fresh flowers on a freshly washed quilt.

one of the only body sprays I've tried that actually smell like they could be expensive. delicate and pleasant. not bad. I actually really like this.

Love it, I just wish it would last longer. Very gentle and a solid clean scent. I usually use it for date nights since it's really intimate.

How decadent. Ive been eyeing this body mist since 2021, and although i quickly sprayed it to test it. Im actually enjoying this. I agree with everyone's view on it being a non offensive fragrance, it smells like a blue laundry detergent in the style of Ariel.It is very sharp, sometimes too sharp when initially sprayed NOT IN A BAD WAY, I LOVE DOING LAUNDRY AND SMELLING WASHED. : ) I don't have any scents that are specifically marketed towards men, but this is a great starting point for someone that wants to smell fresh, even if you're a guy. Im divided on whether i should try the Eau De Parfum, but i can't wait to continue this mist through the summer. I don't have anything that would pair with this, but i'm also eyeing Clinique Happy to offset the sharpness of this fragrance.

The thing I love most about Gingham is its opening. It starts off with such a happy, juicy, mouth watering clementine note. This note is well balanced between sweet and zesty and is quite refreshing and delightful. The heart is more on the soft feminine floral side with some hint of unlisted peach. I can detect easily a sharp white musk and probably some sandalwood in the base. The heart and base are quite lackluster after that bright opening and the overall performance is quite weak. But if you don’t mind respraying it is a nice pick me up scent for summer.

makes me feel fancy on a budget hahaha its def on the stronger/bolder side for me, wish it smelled more floral and less fruity tbh. i lovee the body wash it's so calming and makes me feel sophisticated as i wind down for the night in my warm shower yes yes. so i def prefer using the body wash cuz the perfume sometimes gives me a headache icl since its so strong but honestly after u spray it and let it settle it works out soooo yeah overall a really nice scent

This body spray is pretty linear on me. I do not detect any particular notes, it smells sweet, airy, slightly floral, and clean (a hint of laundry / linen tones). Inoffensive and simple. I don't pick up on the citrus / fruitiness, much. Lasting power on me is not that great, but it's a body spray, so I can't complain too much. The scent feels like the packaging, for sure - like a sunny spring day with a blue checkered picnic blanket, fresh out of the wash.

A nice, shower fresh, and clean fragrance... with lovely packaging. Gingham layers very well with other fragrances, but can stand alone also. I recommend Gingham scrub and moisturizing body wash to go along with the fragrance mist--for best results. Gingham has decent longevity and silage for a fragrance mist. Both, the freesia and clementine, are forefront to my nose. In my opinion, Gingham is a pretty safe blind-buy and appropriate for any age.

Gingham somehow manages to smell like, well, gingham. There's something very proper and traditional about it. It's like crisp, clean, freshly washed linens. I think you could get away with this in a scent free workplace because it just smells like you've got clothes on straight out of the wash. Not my favourite from this brand because I feel like it lacks excitement but nice enough.

Juicy, bright, and delicious smelling! Starts out strong but fades fairly quickly. It feels like it should give me a headache, but it doesn't. I live in Florida, and I could see myself wearing this just about year-round. It's not tropical exactly, just sunny and juicy. It reminds me most of the citrus bar glycerin soaps my mom used to buy at The Body Shop when I was little.

I love using this as my everyday scent that I would wear it even if I’m just staying at home. It’s very different on paper than when sprayed on skin though. On a tester it smelled so powdery, but on my skin the floral comes out more. Both gorgeous though. I just hope this stays longer on my skin because the longevity is poor af... just like other bbw fragrance mists.😔

Not a very in-depth review, but this smells almost identical to Sun-kissed Poppy sugar scrub by TreeHut, to which both my fiance and I love. 🤣 This is definitely a cleaner scent, I'm someone who has a preference for sweeter / gourmand (?) scents ( Ex:, Champagne Toast, Snowflakes and Cashmere, Strawberry pound cake, etc.,) and my partner likes clean, fresh scents.

I just got this yesterday when the candle sale was going on. I've been putting it to the side to see if I can find a better sent but I just couldn't I kept comeing back to it!! It's perfect if your looking for a babysoft-clean sent. I was looking for it just because I need more lighter fragrances:)) I recommend!! Get it while it's on sale

This is a fresh and clean scent with juicy melons, which I didn’t expect based on the notes. It’s a little too boring on its own, but I’d love to layer it with other perfumes like Blanche by Byredo or Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs for some added complexity. It’s a nice option for fresh days, but not exciting enough for me to wear often.

Crisp and clean, but with an identifiable orange note. I feel like the white florals are nice as a backdrop for the fruit, and there's almost a green apple smell I get from them combined. It's light for a Bath and Body Works smell, but still with their signature lasting power and throw.

Does anyone remember the Peach Hyacinth Body wash from Victoria's Secret back in the 90s? This reminds me of that scent. I LOVED Peach Hyacinth. This one is a good dupe, but it's sweeter. Inoffensive, like most B&BW fragrances, and I don't get tired of smelling it throughout the day.

This body mist is really pleasant, a yummy, generic scent that can’t go wrong. I find it really nice and gentle, it doesn’t feel overwhelming or sickly at all. It’s a safe option for people who want a clean and easy scent. My brother wears this, so I would say that it’s more Unisex.

A very 'clean girl' perfume. Think of fresh laundry but not that strong typical laundry smell. It just smells and feels fresh & clean. When I wear this, I think of the color blue 🫐. It gives off a very blue vibe :3

i smelled this in the store when i went yesterday, rlly fresh clean floral scent which i actually like considering i love more gourmand scents ^_^ but this’ll go even better with the shower gel & lotion combined !

A calm and enjoyable foral/clean scent that isn't on either extreme. I can't help but smell a pear-like note in this fragrance even though it isn't on the note list, it must be the freesia.

A refreshing, clean citrus scent you'd be pleased to smell on your laundry. Definitely a spring or summer type vibe. Not overly complicated - the simplicity is reflected in the price.

I have the Gingham mist. It's very light, natural, and wearable for a suggestion of scent. I get an impression of clean laundry, with a bit of earthy and green. Unisex.

My favourite bath and body spray as a man, its just so clean and fresh like laundry but its smells slightly synthetic but for its price, its aight, 7.5/10
