Gingham Fresh

This is my favorite of the 2023 Gingham releases - it's an easy reach that's fresh and pretty. It's very linear and goes from the initial burst of fresh pear straight through the clementine to the daisies. There is a lot of nostalgia in these notes - to me, this is giving old school VS Pear Glace and DKNY Be Delicious but doesn't feel like exact dupes of either. I like to pair this with the matching body cream and mist for enhanced longevity.

My daughter really liked this one, I was slightly unmoved however. It's very nice, and notably safe. I think this makes for an ideal office fragrance, or to wear to a crowded church service...whathaveyou. It's polite and doesn't project crazily. It's just really played out. There would've been a time when I'd choose this for an easy reach. The pear and clementine are a lightly sweet cocktail fruit combo that doesn't turn cloying. The indistinct florals are super pretty, and it's a clean mood lifter. It's simply that this smells like many, many things on the market already. B&BW definitely modeled this after many current designer releases, or it's a huge coincidence. (Cross posted from other entry. )

I really want to like this one because the green packaging is so beautiful. However, every time I try to wear this I am reminded of hairspray and just screechy, sour hair salon chemical scent. I know many people love this though so it just doesn't work with my nose.
