Gingham Heart of Gold

Smells more like perfume than body mist. When I first smelled it at the store without looking at the notes, I was unable to tell that I was smelling apples and vanilla, but this scent seemed very familiar to something but I was just unable to tell. The apple and vanilla notes go so well together. I regret not buying the matching lotion and shower gel with it. It’s still a very nice scent and it lasts all day on me. I feel like you can get away with wearing this in all seasons but is more suitable for colder months.

An autumn fresh and clean scent. Perfumey-apple pie. A harmony of rich apple-vanilla bean cake and warm, musky, spicy woods combined with the original Gingham! At first spray it starts off very fruity with apple and vanilla but as it mellows out you can definitely smell the original Gingham inside it! I would not be surprised to learn that it also has notes of clementine, violet and freesia like original Gingham. Unlike the original Gingham, it's very warm, spicy and woodsy. But it still retains those "gingham musk" notes that make it fresh and clean. I don't usually go for fresh and clean fragrances but I'm happy with an autumn-themed one like this. I like it way better than the original Gingham, it's much, much more feminine! Also the bottle design is so pretty, the golden checkered gingham design reminds me of a lattice apple pie crust. And the golden hearts floating up from the bottom are so cute too.

This is very distinct from the original. Upon initial spray, I get a boozy golden apple, not a fresh watery apple. After drying it turns more into a sandalwoody sweet scent. It's sweet but not gourmand. Has a beautiful perfumey scent. Good for evening wear. Lasting power is nice. 3 hours with just the mist. 4.5/5

This is a really nice scent. My bf mom complimented me and wanted to know what I was wearing, so I gifted her the set last X-Mas. Made for an easy gift. It really does smell like perfume.

This doesn’t smell like a body spray, it truly smells like a perfume. However, this scent does not captivate me enough to want to keep it. I don’t know why, but I get a hint of orange or nectarine I will be returning this.

This is gonna be an uncommon comparison, but (at least in body wash form), it smells exactly like a shampoo from Malaysia called Rejoice, in a shiny green bottle. I used it often as a kid, and bath/body products from Asia in general had this beautiful, creamy yet fruity-fresh take to scent that American products didn't (usually "clean musk" or "watery floral" profiles). Really not that woody to me, but that may be more prominent in the lotion or fragrance mist. The sandalwood would probably be welcome as a sensual base. This interpretation of that creamy, fruity smell is just delightful. I was expecting something quite juicy apple-forward, similar to BBW's *Country Apple, but the notes blend comfortably instead. Somehow like BBW's other rare and quiet winners, this'll probably get discontinued soon. Hope it doesn't though.

The first review saying this is an autumn fresh & clean scent just perfectly describes it.The apple note is dominant for the first few minutes, then it dries down to a perfumey scent. It doesn’t smell like a body mist, the apple begins to take a back seat and it smells mostly like a more expensive, fresh perfume If I didn’t have the notes I wouldn’t be able to guess what this smelled like, it’s sort of generic smelling so I wouldn’t have picked this up if I had bought it in person in store. It smells nice, but definitely not a favorite by any means, and I may not miss it when it’s gone either. I’m thinking of mixing it with pumpkin pecan waffles, or jolly gingerbread village for a more perfumey pie scent.

Smells so much better than the original Gingham. The notes are virtually identical to the original Heirloom Apple candle (red apple, marshmallow, sandalwood). This is a nice apple if you want an apple that isn't laden with cinnamon and caramel or doesn't smell like sweet candy. I love the packaging too.
