Gingham Love

I freaking loved this stuff from the get-go. Gingham Love is within my circle of nostalgic smells. I associate it with love, Valentine’s Day, and my partner. The bright red aesthetic, the name, the scent, all of it appealed to me hard. Around when it was first released, I got the body mist and a ton of pocketbacs because they had a great sale going on for them. Cus honestly sometimes it *can* come across as really floral, so it’s nicer to have the smaller scent bubble from the pocketbac. As opposed to spraying the body mist all over. I get a bouquet of modern, fresh red roses, with red berries scattered within. The meringue and sugar are rather light. I can’t say I know what freesia smells like on its own. So, to me, Gingham Love is mostly a fresh red floral, a little bit fruity, and just a touch of sweet meringue. As much as I adore Gingham Love, I do think a Gingham Love 2.0 could be reinterpreted. Where the red berries are turned up enough so that they are noticeable, with a massive hefty dollop of sweet meringue. 😍 Mmm yum!

I enjoy the body care (shower gel, lotion, body cream) of Gingham love. The cream starts very red berry and then about 30 minutes later, it is a rosy laundry detergent type of bubble bath vibe which I like. I also pick up the slightest chocolate note though it is not listed as a note. So we have strawberry, roses, chocolate, bubble bath. Bbw nailed this for a Valentine scent. I usually start wearing the cream and lotion of Gingham Love mid January and continue the ritual through February (I bought an extra lotion at the last sale because now it is discontinued.) I also pull out Gingham Love in spring and summer to pair with pink or red clothing. I am 40 and while it is berry dominant, I think it is a safe crowd pleaser for many personalities and ages.

It smells like warm watery rose pedals. It’s definitely a spring scent as it does remind me of rain in a way.It might sound weird but the warmness of it gives off a sexiness to it like a spring sexiness. I’ve had it for 3 years now and used to wear it senior year of high school. Spraying it again definitely purged me with nostalgic memories but it smells so good. When I first smelled it after a while I got a sensual/intimate scent from it. I always loved the smell but it smells much better and stronger, I’m not sure if it’s because of oxidization or because I haven’t smelt it in a while but it still smells like sexy wet rose pedals.😂

This one is sweet and floral, but it's just the right amount of sweetness. It's simple and classic, but that's what makes it so lovable and beautiful. I wear this during the day, though, it can also be worn at night. My body chemistry loves it so much. The fruitiness isn't too sweet nor tart, and it doesn't overpower the floral notes at all. It's got good performance for a body spray, as I can still smell it on my clothes after 4 to 6 hours. I hope they bring this back. It's girly and feminine, just the way I like it. MMMMM GOOD. The sugared red berries, blushing freesia rose meringue are a wonderful combination. As I always say everyone has a different body chemistry and has there own opinion. To me and my husband we agree out of all the gingham line that Gingham Love is by far #1 and a wonderful sent bath and body works nailed it with this one. We would say anyone could wear this as my husband does and he wears it well and receives compliments. Last all day on us. Remember fragrances don't have genders! Wear what you like.

This scent is the definition of sweet, fruity, and flirty. A PERFECT first date scent to capture someone's interest. I get so many compliments on it! It is very heavy on the fruity. The dry down is AMAZING. It is also quite strong and long lasting, especially for a body mist.

All I get is sweet, sugary berries. I love it so much. I like to wear it during late summer and into early autumn. I wish I had bought a second one. I didn't appreciate it enough when it came out. It has grown on me a lot

From the Gingham Collection, this is my no. 1 and my most favorite. I like stronger scents that's why I really like this one. Also, this is really long lasting compared to Gorgeous, Vibrant or Fresh.

This is so underrated. This is, I believe, the best flanker of Gingham. If you're familiar with the dry down of Jeanne Lanvin, this has the same sweet musky, fruity, floral base notes.

Gingham but not grandma smelling! It’s a very clean and sweet smell, inoffensive and can be easily worn everywhere. Gym, groceries, school or work....this is a very safe fragrance.

Pretty scent. Kind of like You're the One's baby sister. If you remove the patchouli in YTO you get this scent.

Ohhh.. I love this! Perfect mixture of tart berry and sweetness!. I do not detect the rose, though.

A very girly body spray. Does not last more than one hour sometimes 30 minutes. Good for just spraying when you wanna smell sweet and extra cute for your day but definitely a teen perfume or for a girl who doesn't have experience with fragrances other than the Bath & Body Works line and Victoria Secret. This is very close to Victoria Secret PINK. It has the same vibes. Rose but not accurate herbal green rose more like candy rose with red berries being front and center. Smells sickly sweet and sour due to the all sweet notes including even meringue. But to me it's still more floral than a gourmand. Not enough of a gourmand at all. The freesia is in there too giving it a little but just a little green fresh flower note. It's mostly the sweet red berry and the sugar. I don't think it's creamy. It's more like a sugary red candy scent. Can be detected by others when applied liberally. Good for scenting the hair and the neck. Nothing special just an ordinary berry floral with sugar.

I like this! I wore this for the first time on Sunday, paired with Oscar de la Renta's Bella Rosa--very nice! Gingham Love is an awesome sugared rose fragrance. In the dry down, my nose picks up berries and freesia. The dry down is very beautiful, feminine, and flirty. A nice body mist that wears like a perfume. Gingham Love can stand on its own or be layered with many different fragrances. I believe it to be a safe blind buy.

I got it along with the lotion about 2 years ago in February and immediately connected it with Valentine’s Day and kinda regretted buying it because of that. Recently revisited and I’m in love. Letting it sit really brought out those fruity sour notes and I can see myself really wearing this in the late spring, early summer. Definitely agree with @simplyelexina!

Not much like the original Gingham. It's still a clean scent but more of a fruity-fresh sort of clean. I like it better. Sweet berries and rose make it perfect for warmer weather. It's a nice scent for puttering around running errands or around the house. I would choose something more dramatic for a special occasion but it's a solid staple for everyday use.

Not a popular opinion but for me this is the best of the gingham flankers (if you like very sweet, meringuey scents). Such a shame that they don't sell the larger EDP bottles in the UK. If anyone knows where I can buy the large EDP in the UK, drop me a message please! Edit: Found the 75ml EDP on eBay :D

first, it smells like berries and its very sweet but after a while it smells like pink roses some people don't like it because it smells a bit childish but I really recommend it for people who absolutely love sweet notes its mostly for day and spring vibes

Smelled like berries and powdery in a way. I feel like this could work for year round, but more for winter-spring. Smelled too clean for me so I gave it to my friend, but still think about rebuying this sometimes.

Sweet pretty girl scent. Not super unique but quite pleasant. Doesn't last long though. Less sweeter than You're The One. Not a mature scent but a good one for young girls i suppose.

I have the hand sanitizer for this. It smells like a young and fun fragrance. Fruity yet not immature. I can't wait to get the body mist.

It's a sweet, berry cream to my nose.

Very sweet, berry accents, sorta coconut-y but maybe that’s just me. It’s nice, quite overpowering for a mist and personally I think because it’s so sweet and strong you can get sick of the smell really quickly in like a week or two so if I were you, spray in small amounts and thinly. Doesn’t last long like I’d say maximum 2-3 hours but gets very faint. Primarily a winter/spring scent it’s too much for the other seasons i think. I think if you prefer very strong sweet smells go for it but not for me personally :)

Smells like a very mediocre sweet liquid laundry detergent.

I’m sorry, I hate it. It has a beautiful opening of berries then it dries down to a horribly musty rose. You know the kind. It goes from a youthful pretty to just a dry old rose that someone older might prefer. Even worse, the rose just DOESN’T go away. Luckily it was free, but folks, please let a fragrance sit on your skin for a bit before you buy it.

I honestly only wear the body mist at the gym. I find thst they smell tolerable. And I only spray on clothes. It kind of stays. Not particularly in love with this one though. The scent is meh.

Normally I dislike these notes Sugared red berries, blushing freesia, & rose meringue.. I don't like red berries much, freesia is ok, and I'm not a rose lover. . However, ..... HOWEVER this blend is amazing. So simple yet my olfactory senses just love it. Looking at getting it in edp as well hoping that the edp is longer lasting even though this one seems to last around 2 to 3 hours when my other body sprays last less than that. this fragrance screams nostalgia to me. It's the exact same essence I got as a kid when the powdery vapors of my new and freshly opened bottle of HUBBA BUBBA bubble jug hit my nostrils. That's why I love this and I'm glad I discovered it because it smells just like that. Reminds me so much of my childhood.

This is Forever Red’s younger sister with the shared red berries. While FR is sexy and romantic, almost slightly mature, Gingham Love is sweet and innocent. Because GL is lighter, I would feel comfortable wearing it in the daytime, whereas I associate FR as being a date night scent. However, I LOVE Forever Red and prefer it. Since I think they’re similar, I don’t need both

To me, it's sweet, and sugary. The sugary scent can be overwhelming to some but to me I absolutely love it. It's perfect for summer and during the day, although I don't recommend wearing it when you're doing active activities. Overall, I love it. It's my second favorite after Gingham in the Gingham series.

Passed on this at release, but picked up during a recent sale. Is it the most unique scent ever? No. But if you like a fresh lifted fruity floral with a touch of rose, this is beautiful...great for late winter/early spring imho. Wonderful choice when I'm unsure of what to wear. I love it!

This is very light and fresh with a bit of sweetness. I prefer the dry down because it loses the powdery smell and makes it more subtle. I wore this to lunch with my boyfriend and this is the first fragrance he’s complimented (specifically he said “you smell pretty” lol)

Smells very sweet. Too sweet to my liking hence I use it as a room spray. I find that its quite strong and can quite nauseating. For its price, its of good value.
