Golden Sunflower

This is a warmer, deeper, sweeter version of Elizabeth Arden's Sunflowers. The vanilla is prominent and creamy. I also find this more "perfumey" than EA's Sunflowers, which is breezy and light. It's almost sunscreen like, which is what I thought at first, but as I kept sniffing it, I realized that it was something completely different. It lasts a long time on me, especially when paired with the lotion & body wash. This, and EA's Sunflowers pair well together (I only have the Golden Sunflower body spray), which enhances the overall scent profile. I highly recommend this if you either: like EA's Sunflowers or think that it's too fresh.

I am just floored by how beautiful this smells: it's a sunny baby powder scent, very light and innocent and happy. Perfect for when you want to smell fresh out of the shower and powdered without any heavy fragrance on top. 1 small spray projects about 2 feet and lasts about 30 minutes on my clothes. I can't comment on similarities to fragrances listed below as I haven't smelled them, but a rather floral honey scent sounds close. Reminds me of what an Estee Lauder Pleasures magazine advertisement conjures up.

I love this one. It's similar to Le Beach from Urban Outfitters (not in the database).

This is a sweet sunflower scent. I love the initial juicy blast of floral, and can detect a hint of vanilla. It’s not a huge amount- definitely more of a soft, sunshine-y floral. Lovely for summer and late summer to fall. It’s very feminine and feels kind of warm, very fresh too. Once again my nose picks up the white floral, I swear this seems to relate to that freshness? It’s a really pretty scent!

The main scent that I get when I use this is honey. First, there's a bright warm orange-ish floral (if a smell could be described with a color) but it quickly gives way to a starchy, powdery honey-like scent. Imagine a little bee covered in pollen. It's very fall like, soft, but not floral in a fresh green bouquet sense. It's like golden, dying fall flowers, beeswax, and dry grass.

I really like this release from Bath & Body Works. It's a soft understated floral. The dry herbal sunflower and fresh citrusy orange blossom is a lovely combination. The vanilla base adds warmth and richness. I'm smitten with Golden Sunflower!

Clean fresh vanilla with light powder notes. Simple yet nice :) Perfect scent summer adjusting into fall.

It smelled incredibly different, at first. It was beautiful, but just unlike anything I've smelled before. It GRABBED me! Fast-forward two months, and I don't want to smell it again. It's like my nose has figured out there's gardenia in there, and I'm just rolling my eyes and saying, "thanks, no."

So I ordered this blindly online really buying into the marketing and beautiful packaging. Unfortunately, I did not like this scent at all. It’s a very dry, non-sweet vanilla with what smells similar to hay. The floral is a very hay-like note, and very loud. There are no citrus or fruits to balance out the composition. If there were, this scent would be redeemable!

no. do not like this. dry. floral. weird. Comes in EDT and Fine Fragrance Mist - same notes/scent I really want to know who is in charge of deciding which scents make the EDT production? Because this is a DUD.

Incredibly sweet vanilla floral with a hint of a sort of Play-Doh whiskey undertone

I bought Golden Sunflower in the fine fragrance mist. When I smelled this in the store I thought I was in love - it reminded me of late summertime in the Blue Ridge mountains. Then I got home and realized it's a unisex scent. I wish they had put that on the bottle because I wouldn't have even picked it up to try had that been the case. I want to smell like a woman, not in between, and not like a man! The scent is fresh and clean and strongly floral. There is a slight orange-vanilla note but it's the kind of orange-vanilla common in cleaning supplies. I also smell a little bit of pine even though it's not listed. It's an in between scent that isn't obviously feminine but also isn't obviously masculine. (But I personally think it leans more masculine.) I've had it on my wrist for a day and it seems to be one of the few B&BW mists with longevity that lasts forever. Unfortunately, each time I get a whiff it makes me nauseous and is giving me a headache. This scent would be perfect for August and September if you like the smell. I originally rated this as "OK" but I'm thinking about changing it to "Hate" because of how nauseous it's making me! I'm planning on returning it ASAP and getting my $4 back.

I also agree with the toothpaste note someone else mentioned - it smells like original flavor toothpaste! I would recommend "Marigold and Cane Sugar" by B&BW if you want a late-summer early-fall floral fragrance that's actually feminine. (It's not listed in the database but has notes of golden citrus, sunshine marigold, cane sugar and warm amber.

Honey Marc Jacobs yes, my first thought, but alittle synthetic and stronger, I like it tho, I wear it when I mow the lawn and do some yard work, LOL. They both have the orange blossom/orange flower and give you that sunny feel. Honey smells more complex, more elegant and its best representative now that its hard to be found is Rose Gold Hearts by KKW which is better than Honey. Golden Sunflower can be abit overwhelming, it is more syrupy to my nose than Honey, while Honey is more discreet and mellow. I just love these sunny perfumes tho, with or without the honey note, you still feel like youre walking in a yellow valley under the sun. Similar vibe even tho it is not a "yellow" perfume, but rather starts off cooling and purple, is Fresh Cut Lilacs by BBW, the new scent in a body mist, starts off smelling like lilacs, turns a bit green, very reminiscent of VW Lovestruck Floral Rush and then the drydown is sunny like orange flower/orange blossom or honeysuckle smell to me and powdery/dusty with some rose - maybe what the "spring air" note entails. Fresh Cut Lilacs to me is better than Golden Sunflower, worth trying! The drydown of Fresh Cut Lilacs is like the opening of JLo's Glow.

VS has the Paradise Bloom mist in the Pink section and it has that exact same syrupy pungent sweet, suffocating sweet smell of this.. Like flowers in the sun drenched in honey, but without smelling like Honey MJ. The honey note in perfumes smells sunny to me and abit dusty, so with the sunflower and the vanilla here its like we get a similar honey effect, just alot thicker! Paradise Bloom combines the hibiscus note and scent from Hibiscus Paradise by BBW without the coconut and the deep, sweet dusty syrupy floral vibe of Golden Sunflower. I like both in that realm of "hot sunny floral" scents, so if u like golden sunflower you can also try paradise bloom which has hibiscus in it and like I said that thick, honey-sweet sunny element of Golden Sunflower.

This is sweet heady floral. I like the combo of orange flower and vanilla, it smells fresh, floral and sweet. Alas, its already dissapeared from stores(at least in my area). I ended up getting body cream from Amazon. This is one scent i wish they would keep because its more unique than their usual offerings.

If you are looking for a softer/airy version of sunflower by Elizabeth Arden, this works. Elizabeth Arden Sunflower is in your face autumn sunflower floral. this is the same sunflower but dipped in milk and sunscreen. 10/10 for the price.

I had hopes his would smell like the B&BW Sunscape of years gone by. It does not. I like it well enough, but wouldn't purchase it again.

Not sure I love the new format... but I suppose change is what we are all used to now! I'll get used to it.
