Happy Birthday Frosted Vanilla

Yes, it's smells a bit synthetic! Yes, it's too sweet! But I just love it and it lasts! It smells like you have walked right into a cupcake bakery first thing they opened up! Creamy, saccharine and delectable! For a body mist, it's as authentic gourmand as they get! I also have Sol de Janeiro 71 body mist but don't see any similarities with BBW Happy Birthday Frosted Vanilla. 71 is way nuttier, less creamy and definitely less sweeter. Both worth a try in their own rights! But this is such a little gem especially from the price point and the longevity factor!

i love this shit so much, smells like a creamy THICK delicious vanilla cloudy buttercream heaven. The intitial spray is more vanilla, and when it dries down i can actually smell the cream and vanilla blended together perfectly to form a delicious gourmand scent. I can also smell a hint of a slightly musky note on the dry down which adds to the overall cake perfume experience. I would layer this with Vanilla bean noel or any chocolatey/coconut perfume. Its a fun scent more suitable for younger people.

To be honest, it is the longest lasting body mist that I have ever owned. I sprayed it at 9 am and at 10 pm I can still smell it pretty well . Not only this but it’s also soooo delicious. It’s like sol de janeiro 71 (which I’m not a big fan of) but without this weird burned butter note. I wish they made a bigger bottle of this mist! If you like a smell of carmel popcorn and cupcake, you’ll love this! 🧁

super duper vanilla-y, definitely not a mature smell but it's exactly as advertised- my friends recognize me by this smell, the first sillage is pretty good but it does dry down to pretty much nothing, unfortunately u_u i get a semi-prominent buttery note from this one too, which goes great with the already gourmand main notes ^_^

Cheaper version of Cheirosa 71 (in a good way), without the macadamia and coconut blossom. It smells like fresh baked cookies and dries down similar to Victoria Secret's Coconut Passion. Best vanilla body mist and I don't even like vanilla that much. You HAVE to try it with the body lotion, you'll be a delicious edible bomb.

Just purchased this mist a couple of days ago, and I don’t hate it lol, since I really love gourmand fragrances! This fragrance mist smells just like vanilla frosting. I wouldn’t wear this alone, but this mist is really nice for layering with another fragrance if you want to add a little sweetness.

edited- smells soooooo good i really love this. apparently, this is the repackage of christmas cookies so im def adding that to my scent list! this mist smells like vanilla, gingerbread cookies, and cake with frosting. also, i get a hint of caramel from this? it could just be my nose though lol

SO SWEET! lasts a while longer than other b&bw fine fragrance mists. similar to merry cookie but without the gingerbread note. smells just like a buttercream cupcake! it has that warm baked feeling to it. not for the fragrance elitists. people who wear this like to have a bit of whimsical fun.

this is the one of the best body mists ever like genuinely it layers well with nearly every gourmand/vanilla perfume out there. it’s extremely versatile. i wish b&bw would release more surrounding this scent!!

Sweet and buttery like a Vanilla-Buttercream Frosting with a hint of cake. I like the Bodycream better than the Spray. When I put on the Bodycream it does smell for hours. The FFM is not that strong though.

Sweet and comforting cupcake scent. Yes it's definitely synthetic but it's realistic as vanilla frosting is rarely natural. Despite the poor longevity I loooove to wear to bed !

Yummy this is the PERFECT vanilla scented body mist ever. Imo it smells like vanilla ice cream with caramel drizzle

i've been on the hunt for a perfume that smells exactly like glossier's birthday balm dotcom and when i saw the notes of this, i was really curious and got it. i don't hate this, but it's very meh to me. i liked how it smelt when i first sprayed it but as soon as it dries, it smells like popcorn, not in a bad way, but it took me by surprised because i wasnt expecting it at all. i still do get the warm butter cake smell though but the popcorn just made it meh to me. also, it smells very close to the birthday balm dotcom, it just needs to be a little bit more sweeter and less popcorn then i'd like it alot! layering it might help achieve that smell but on its own, its just popcorn. edit : it smells a lot better on my clothes than it does on me and i ended up really liking this!!

Personally as much as it smells aggressive it mellows out and smells relatively soft after it dries down. When you spray it smells like alcohol and cake batter. Then when it dries down it smells like a birthday cake! It’s really good, both sweet and playful. Definitely one of BBW more long lasting ones. Like I said It’s sweet, like insanely sweet. Only one spray and you’ll be good.

Super nice warm vanilla body spray, smells just like a frosted cake. The scent is straightforward and doesnt have a ton of depth, but also isn't boring. If you want to smell like a photorealistic cake this is for you. Has pretty good lasting power as well.

This is a cheaper dupe for Sol De Janiero's Cheriosa 71. It's literally the same scent lol It smells like vanilla/almond cookies. Very sweet. I feel this would pair well with any gourmand perfume.

Doughy birthday cake with lots of frosting. Sweet. Kiddish. Like most B&BW scents, this isn't a sophisticated scent, it's very obvious that this costs $12.99 but, it's not horrible!

definitely agree that this smells like popcorn for some reason, must be something buttery coming from the frosting notes? i still like it a lot though for some reason.

Its very powdery and light, smells exactly like a birthday cake it makes me hungry, however my least favorite thing about it is that it smells kind of dusty

this is a very STRONG scent of coconut and gingerbread cookies and birthday cakes. it is overpowering

I was debating what I wanted my first ever bath and body works spray to be like and I came across this one I looked for reviews on tick Tok and there weren't many I looked on here and people were saying it smells like strawberry starburst and was a overall a good sent and I was so so let down!! To me this smells like vanilla but something, sicky and almost floral?? It's okay but it's not something I would want to smell of, I really wanted to like it, after not using it I thought I'd give it to my younger sister who loves it and on her it smells so different it smells like cream and vanilla but on me and in the air it's horrendous so I guess it works for some people and not for others, but for £10 for a small little bottle it's worth just getting so...? Truffle cream and marshmallow candy for around the same price

Disclaimer: I used to be a huge body mist fan when I was younger, but once I could afford slightly more expensive perfumes, I realised longevity is actually really important to me. Even though body mists are very affordable, I find that it never lasts on my skin, and I dislike the strong alcohol opening of most B&BW scents. On the scent, I find Happy Birthday to be a really linear fragrance. The notes state vanilla and frosting -- which is what you're going to get. Imagine just the sugary vanilla frosting on top of a cupcake, but there is no cupcake. There is no richness or complexity to the scent (to my nose). You might find this to be a good layering fragrance if you have other gourmand scents to pair it with. Personally it's not worth the trouble for me.

This one is alright. Personally I've been looking for a body mist that smells like white confetti birthday cake - which should be more of a very cold, sugary, vanilla smell in my opinion. But this one smells more like a warm cake, just out of the oven and has been soaked in some sort of syrup or honey. Its not terrible, but not exactly what I was looking for. Too much makes me feel sick, but if you layer it with something else and only put a little bit on its quite useful.

smells so realistically of cheap birthday cake that it's kind of nauseating. the kind of cake you scrape the icing off of because it's so steeped in artifice that it dyes your tongue blue. that being said i have a gothic fascination with it. i keep smelling it because i've developed a love-hate obsession. really speaks to fragrance as an art form

I got this perfume on my birthday because I was in bath & body works. This perfume is not for everybody, as in it is intoxicatingly sweet. It smells exactly like vanilla birthday cake frosting, which I love but it sits a bit too sweet on my skin. I will wear this occasionally, but this is not an everyday scent.

This smells very similar to Christmas Cookies, if not a complete repackage, but right now this is NASTY to me. I loved this when I first got it (since I love Xmas Cookies), but one day after buying Philosophy's Fresh Cream Perfume, I noticed a spoiled milk scent in Happy Birthday and my Xmas Cookies Body cream, that I noticed in the Fresh Cream. Now when I smell this scent, all I smell is spoiled milk and butter. It's TERRIBLE. It also ruined my Xmas Cookies Body Cream because now that smells like spoiled milk. Anyways, even though I love gourmand scents I do not like this as of right now.

i love vanilla but tend to like the less foody ones. this one is very cakey, so not really my style. i get vanilla along with a nutty sort of scent, which is probably the frosting. not as sweet as it could've been, but still it smells like cake or cookies and i would rather not. if you like that sort of thing though, this could work for you. it doesn't go plasticky either, which these types can sometimes do.

I'm thinking I'll like this better in the winter, since it's a very warm scent. The sileage isn't as good as I was hoping for, even with the body cream, but this linear scent is so yummy. Smells like an iced birthday cake and almond cookies! :) edit: I don't know what happened, I just do not enjoy this anymore lol. I can't articulate what it is, but there's something about it that just annoys me now 😅

i love, love, love gourmands. THIS? hell no. in theory, it smells wonderful... cake batter, frosting, sprinkles, what more could you want? but this is just SO strong and putrid it gives me a migraine immediately. if it was lighter I would definitely wear it but it's just so strong it makes me nauseous :(

I really thought that I would be a fan of this, but it just smells like crayons in a bad way. It also clashes with my hand soap in a gag-inducing way.

Look, I love gourmands. All of them. Except this one. GOD, just no. It smells like a wet sock, sifted in pretzel flour, dipped in cake batter, then deep fried in butter with a garnish of powdered sugar and frosting. Offensive even to my friends, some of whom are far more adventurous and open to all kinds of fragrances than I am. That being said, I would love nothing more than to adore this scent the way that majority of other reviews seem to. It just doesn't make sense to me. At least not on my skin anyway.. It's the same conspiracy I have with Vanilla Bean Noel (it smells like baby puke in all forms) - I'm not judging anyone's tastes, nor here to yuck anyone's yum's - but how on earth are these two scents still standing at the very front as B&BW's 'best vanillas'? Absolutely not! I sold this thing so fast I nearly threw it at them.

This smells like a lighter version of Solde Janeiro 71. It’s very gourmand. If I can compare it to food I’d say Honey nut cheerios or Costco macadamia nut cookies fresh from the oven. The smell is so strong that it gives me a headache.

A simple vanilla cupcake frosting scent. Sweet, warm, uncomplicated gourmand. I bet it's better for cooler weather, but a really nice and cozy bedtime scent either way. It might be too sweet to be a crowd pleaser (I enjoy it; mum can't stand it) so best worn for yourself. Overall, if you're a fan of Vanilla Bean Noel or even Warm Vanilla Sugar, you'd probably like this one ~ I bought the mini spray and the body cream and they're great for layering. The scent lasts quite a long time, too! Edit : cats aren't too fond of this scent, so if you've got one with asthma or allergies, this and especially the lotion/cream will trigger it! Spray lightly! Side note : it ended up being too sweet for my liking, but mixing it into my more spicy fragrances really seems to be working.

i love it soo much, its, well - just like cake! ive been looking for that buttercream scent that wasnt too expensive so i could blind buy and im super happy with it. just a shame its travel sized. however, dont use 2 much in one go though, its very strong so quite sickly im sure if it was sprayed too much

THIS IS NASTY. This is the best headache inducing mist ive ever encountered. Im sorry but how can people actually like this and wear this. the idea is nice and it smells exactly like an american birthday cake but definatly not something i would wear AT ALL.

smells like actually true cake batter, a little eggy and buttery even, with sprinkles and the oven preheating and of course: the vanilla! strongly gourmand in an offensive way, almost. smells like funfetti icing delightfully.

very sweet vanilla icing smell but i love it, these sweet smells are all i use. it smells similar to bbw pear creme brulee (one of my favourites) too.
